"So, school went good huh guys, Bubba how was your day." Nebula asked the kits. It was now early-evening and dinnertime so Nebula and Rocket were asking the kits how their first day went hearing Elroy, Herbie, Luna and Sputnik but Bubba was quiet which made Nebula and Rocket exchange a look astounded as Bubba shapeshifted into Nebula making the kits impressed and Rocket sighing. "Just focus on being you honey then we need to talk." he told her seeing her do that becoming herself seeing her run out
"Stay at the table while I go calm yohr sis, I'll be right back." Rocket told them getting up and leaving the kitchen going to Bubba's room using one of his claws to unlock the door hearing Bubba upset looking at her paws making him sigh feeling bad as he and Rocke should have talked to her about this, but waited until she had powers to give her that talk guessing it was now.
"Stay away daddy, I might turn into something bad and hurt you." she said sniffling as Rocket understood but explaining that it was okay to be a mutant and that she got it from him astounding her. "My mutation is my smarts honey as the X-Gene activates differently in everybody." he explained to her which was helping as she hugged him plus was super hubgry making Rocket guess her other mutation involved her metabolism exlainibg seeing her impressed by that as they were going back downstairs relieving Nebula and her younger sibs seeing her eating impressing them.
"Somebody hit mutant puberty, and we had the talk honey." Rocket whispered to her making Nebula agreeing hoping Rocke would be okay, when he foubd out but Rocket had promised Bubba that she'd tell her papa when the time was right making Nebula get it as she was putting the kits to bedwhile Rocket was doing stuff plus Bubba was getting ready for bed hoping Kiwi was okay guessing she must be lonely making Rocket get it. "Maybe she can come over as yes, she has adorm room all to herself as other kids are too scared to room with her." he replied making Bubba frown.
"Kiwi's probably lonely in her dorm room." she mumbled making Rocket get it.
"Maybe she should sleep over sometimes kiddo." he told her as she was going to bed making him sigh heading to his and Negula's room getting into bed beside Nebula hugging her plus it was now May, his birthday month which Nebula also knew so planning something for him which the kits were helping with.
"Groot Morning guys and see Bubba's in a better mood." Rocket told Nebula and the kits the next mornibg which was the kits's secobd day of school hoping it would go better for Bubba seeing Kiwi there as it was Bubba's idea which Nebula thought sweet drinking orange juice knowing Casey was off planet as she normally checked in. "It was Bubba's idea as she invited me over, uncle." Kiwi told Rocket as he got it. "It's fibe and Kiwi is lonely so it's good you're friends." he told her.
"Y-Yeah we are, uncle." Kiwi said softly eating pancakes making him surprised that she was surprised she and Bubba were friends seeing Kiwi impressed by how much Bubba was eating. "It's part of her mutation, Kiwi, which is intresting pkus I made her a special lunch for her metabolism." Rocket told her which Kiwi got seeing Bubba shapeshift into Rocket making Nebula grin as Rocket helped Bubba shapeshift back into her normal self.
"Don't worry we'll help you with it, but we should get gooibg." Rocket said as they were leaving but Bubba and Kiwi weren't takingthe bus but going with Nebula, Rocket and Bubba's sibs hoping the day would go well plus remembered there was a ceremony today called the Pantheon of Heroes happening today making Kiwi frown at that.
