FLAVIO (Narrating):
Scoffing at danger, my brave explorers entered the cave. Will they actually find the pirate king's treasure? I tremble with anticipation…
(Mario, Goombella, Koops, Flurrie, Eggy, Vivian, Bobbery, and Ms. Mowz all entered the cave to find the legendary pirate king, Cortez, and retrieve the Chaos Emerald there)
MARIO:
This is kinda like Mt. Lavalava, except there's no lava.
GOOMBELLA:
Of course, not.
BOBBERY:
Goombella, could you please flick on your helmet.
GOOMBELLA:
Sure.
(Goombella flicked on her helmet)
BOBBERY:
Now, let me lead this quest, I know a lot about the pirate king! Goombella and Mario, I need your assistance! Both of you! As for the rest of you, stick together, and no separations, I'm pretty sure Goombella knows a lot about Cortez as well, and Mario knows a lot about those Chaos Emeralds. Now, follow me!
(The group followed Bobbery until they heard a ghostly voice)
GHOST:
OoOoOoOooOooOoOoOoOoOo… oOoOoOoOooOooOoOoOoOoO…
BOBBERY:
That's Cortez.
EGGY:
How do you know about him?
BOBBERY:
I've heard that voice before, and that is none other than Cortez! Now, we just gotta get down there… uhh… you… cloud lady?
FLURRIE:
Me? My name is Madame Flurrie!
BOBBERY:
And the purple ghost?
VIVIAN:
I'm Vivian.
BOBBERY:
Madame Flurrie and Vivian, see if you can get us down to safety.
FLURRIE AND VIVIAN:
Yes, sir.
(Flurrie grabs Goombella and Eggy while Vivian grabs Koops, and places them down to safety. Meanwhile, Mario grabs Bobbery while Ms. Mowz jumps on his back)
BOBBERY:
Mario, wait for Flurrie and Vivian to come back up for us!
MARIO:
Oh, I've been jumping off really high for years, I won't even hurt you! There's a trampoline that'll break our fall.
BOBBERY:
Wait, wait!
(Mario jumps off the cliff and lands on the trampoline and does the same for the other cliff)
BOBBERY:
Ha! I'm safe. I'm saved!
(The other party members made it all the way down)
FLURRIE:
Mario, you made it down before us?
(Flurrie and Vivian placed Goombella, Koops, and Eggy down)
KOOPS:
I guess you just took the risk! I guess that's what Super Mario does to the evil King Bowser!
BOBBERY:
Anyway, let's move further!
(They continued going until they noticed Lava Bubbles)
BOBBERY:
Whoa! Those are not good!
MARIO:
Oh, I've seen these before.
LAVA BUBBLE:
Invaders! They're trespassing Cortez's lair! Get our lord immediately!
KOOPS:
Are there gonna be any booby traps?
(The Lava Bubbles stopped and turned around to face Koops)
LAVA BUBBLE:
What did you just say?
KOOPS:
I said "are there gonna be any booby traps?"
(The Lava Bubbles started laughing at what Koops just said recently while Vivian was trying not to laugh)
KOOPS:
W-What's so funny?
VIVIAN:
You said "booby trap!"
BOBBERY:
It doesn't matter, they're distracted! Now's our chance! Let's go!
(They quietly snook past the Lava Bubbles without them noticing, however, they stumbled upon a real booby trap: spears pop out of the ground every few seconds)
BOBBERY:
Okay! Now THAT is a booby trap! There's gotta be another way… *gasp*
(Bobbery stared at Flurrie and Vivian, who are confused, and Bobbery smirked at them. It then cuts to them who already made it past the spear booby trap)
BOBBERY:
That wasn't so bad, was it? Onward!
(They encountered Bullet Bills next)
BOBBERY:
What the…? Cannons!?
MARIO:
I'll take care of those Bullet Bills!
(Mario whacks every Bullet Bill out of his way with his partners in tow. It wasn't long before Mario and gang finally made it to the cannons where Mario pushed them in the water)
BOBBERY:
Ha! In your face, Bullet thingies!
(They continued going down the cave. However, they noticed something that some crane would fit in)
MARIO:
Huh? I wonder if there's a crane in here somewhere…
BULKY BOB-OMB:
Oh, hey! Intruders…
(Vivian lit the Bulky Bob-Omb with her fire powers and quickly pushed it in the water)
KOOPS:
Uh, Vivian, I don't think you were supposed to light it up.
VIVIAN:
Relax, Koops. We'll be fine, I pushed it in the water!
KOOPS:
Oh!
(Everyone left offscreen and as soon as it did, there was an explosion in the water which caused it to splash)
MARIO:
Did you hear that?
KOOPS:
I heard some explosion.
BOBBERY:
I think we need to climb up there…
MARIO:
Okie-dokie.
(Mario, Koops, and Ms. Mowz climbed up while Flurrie and Vivian carried Goombella, Eggy, and Bobbery up to the top)
MARIO:
Man, that was so exhausting.
KOOPS:
Yeah, at least we made it up top.
BOBBERY:
Now, we just have to get to that switch over there and get this door opening!
(Everyone followed Bobbery up to that switch)
BOBBERY:
Mario, see if you can climb up there and hit it!
MARIO:
Oh, I've got this, Bobbery, no problem!
(Mario climbed up the platform and whacked the switch with his hammer which caused the metal door to open)
CORTEZ:
OoOoOoOooOooOoOoOoOoOo… Tuuuuuuuurn baaaaaack… OoOoOoOooOooOoOoOoOoOo… gooo noooooo fuuuuurther… or you will never leave…
MARIO:
Okay, he's starting to sound like Tutankoopa!
KOOPS:
You think? Wait, who's Tutankoopa?
(They kept going until they eventually made it to some sort of room)
MARIO:
This looks all abandoned… like, it's… like, somebody used to live here, you know what I mean?
GOOMBELLA:
Yeah, and I sure wouldn't want to live here.
MARIO:
Well, what would you do if we lived here together?
GOOMBELLA:
Well, we'd have each other, and that's what really matters, because you're very special to me, Mario.
(Mario started blushing when Flurrie called out to him)
FLURRIE:
Hey Mario, I found some key! I don't know what this does, but…
BOBBERY:
Perfect! I saw a locked door! Maybe this key could unlock it! Let's take it over there!
(They went over to where that locked door was and unlocked it. They went inside and there were Parabuzzies)
MARIO:
Uh, no need to panic, 'cause I got 'em covered.
(Mario whacked the parabuzzies with his hammer. They then found more Bill Blasters controlled by Lava Bubbles)
LAVA BUBBLES:
Let's see you survive this, Mario!
BOBBERY:
This could be a problem.
MARIO:
Oh, coconuts!
