Rio 1 and a Half

Blue macaws Aurora, Sirius and Milo and Amazon flying fox Ahsoka must pair up with Zephyr, Samara, Celeste and Orion respectively to save their species. However, they must face a second band of smugglers and their pets lead by the violent swan Vecna together with the canonical Rio gang including Blu and his family before they are captured for the pet trade.

32. Vecna's wrath

Chapter 32- Vecna's wrath

Somewhere else in the battlefield, a crowd of more cats, dogs and corvids chased some more toucans, macaws, small birds like honeycreepers and more bats. However, as they did that, a brown and white bulldog charged at their chasers like a bull and ploughed through them. Some of the cats, dogs and corvids were flung upward while some were flattened by Luiz as he ploughed through them. Then Luiz exploded out the other end like a bullet, some of his spit flying into the faces of his foes.

"HAH, HOT DOG COMIN' THROUGH, POACHERS' PETS!" cried the bulldog and with that, he whirled round and charged them again. However, as he did that, a black and white blur appeared and tackled into him, interrupting his charge. Luiz let loose a cry of stun when he found himself gazing into the wrathful blue eyes of a furious female Border collie.

"So, YOU'RE the pesky dog friend of those rats, eh, rabies dog!?" Bryony snarled and with that, she pressed a paw onto Luiz's neck to strangle him briefly, "Well, PREPARE T' FACE THE CONSEQUENCES OF JOININ' EM!" and with that, she launched at Luiz and engaged him in battle, Luiz being forced to fight back. Luiz was reluctant to fight a female dog but because Bryony was so threatening, he had no choice. Barks and snarls exploded from the bulldog and the collie as they rolled back and forth. The pair proceeded to slap each other with their paws and butt each other with their heads. Luiz's spit flew everywhere and landed on some of Luiz's allies including some marmosets to their slight annoyance and revulsion but when they saw Luiz struggle against Bryony, they rushed to help. Then after a few more seconds of rolling, Bryony finally ended up with Luiz on his front and herself on his back.

"Jus' 'cos ya a GURL doesn't mean I'm gonna go easy on ya, collie," Luiz snarled, "'Specially if ya part of a pet group involved in an ILLEGAL BUSINESS... AAAARRRGGHH!" he cried when Bryony pulled him into a VERY painful position by yanking on his paw. Suddenly, a small crowd of grey and white monkeys appeared and pounced onto Bryony, knocking her off of the bulldog. Luiz struggled to his feet as a marmoset came in and helped him up.

"Y'okay, Luiz?" asked he.

"Yes, thanks," said Luiz, "Boy dat girl dog sure was VERY tough."

Then he and the marmoset left and joined the other marmosets in attacking Bryony, the collie furiously fighting back.

Somewhere else again, more cats, dogs and corvids, among them Aliana, Otis and Ria, pursued more of Blu's group in an attempt to catch them. One group which included Aliana the poodle pursued two green-winged macaws and also Milo and Celeste, while another which included Otis and Ria, pursued Sirius, Samara and some honeycreepers and finches. As they ran along, Milo shot Aliana's group behind him, Celeste and the two green-winged macaws.

"Once we have FINISHED WITH THIS," he cried, "I'M GONNA BE MOVIN' INTO THE JUNGLE WITH YOU GUYS!"

"Sirius and Aurora have also made that same decision, Milo," said Celeste, "So has Ahsoka but she still needs to learn to fly!"

The Lear's macaws continued running on with the green-winged macaws, Aliana and her group hot on their tails. Around them, more of the poachers' pets battled more of Blu's group members. Then Milo's group charged towards Sirius and Samara's group and the two groups began to run toward each other. Then when they met in the middle, Milo cried out, "UPWARD!" and with that, both the bird groups launched upward into the air and sent their pursuers crashing headfirst into each other. Aliana crashed into Otis and Ria during the impact and both the groups collapsed onto the floor. Then in their frustration, the pair of groups began to fight each other.

"Why you CLUMSY..." Aliana barked and with that, she slapped Otis and Ria over the faces.

"Don't ya HIT ME, fle-infested FLUFF-EARS!" Otis retorted and struck Aliana back with a paw swipe to the face of his own. Then the poodle and the King Charlse spaniel launched into a fight against each other while Ria fought some of the crows on Otis and Ria's side. Above the two brawling groups, Sirius, Samara, Celeste, Milo, the green-winged macaws and the finches hovered and watched on.

"Wow, even the poachers' mud-pets fail to get along when something goes wrong," said Samara with a slight smirk.

"Nice move at the last second, Lear's and green-winged macaws," said Sirius and with that, he did a talon bump with each of them.

"Thought of it at the last second, mate," said Milo proudly.

"Just like when you and I managed to outwit Vecna when he chased us through the slums when we were chained together by sending him crashing through one of the houses," said Celeste with a smirk. With that, the group left to help someone else.

On the other side of the plane where more poachers' pets fought more of Blu's members and friends, a certain brown and white marmoset ran through the crowd, looking for any lone poachers' pet to take on. Nearby, Brisa appeared and looked around when she was suddenly surrounded by some corvids. However, the sister of Zephyr jumped up and clawed some of them over the faces but one of the crows seized her and tossed over the crowd of black birds in Mauro's direction. Brisa fluttered clumsily and landed near the lead marmoset, the pair gazing at each other with surprise, Mauro thinking Brisa to be Jewel for a moment before realising that she had different features such as the large tuft of cerulean feathers above the beak and an all-blue-white head melting to cerulean down the neck, a feature lacking in Jewel. Further, Brisa was a bit stockier than Jewel. Then the Spix macaw and marmoset turned back to back and saw themselves surrounded by a crowd of cats, dogs and corvids and they began to close in on them. The pair then stood close to each other, back to back and seeing no other choice, Brisa linked her wing with Mauro's arm. Then just as their enemies were about to pounce onto them to capture them, Mauro lifted Brisa onto his back, his arms linked with her wings and spun round, allowing Brisa to kick a series of the foes in their faces. After this, Mauro allowed Brisa to place her feet onto the ground and she twisted and flung Mauro into the air. The marmoset flew and acrobatically struck some more cats and dogs in the faces with his hands and feet. Then after landing on solid ground, the Mauro began to perform elaborate dance moves to take down more cats and dogs as they leaped upon him while Brisa herself fluttered into the air to find someone else to help battle.

Nearby, two hulking crows engaged a hyacinth macaw in a wrestling match and they knocked him against the side of the Sky Van.

"Oooh, those crows 'ave him pinned," cried a voice, speaking like a narrator to a wrestling match. Nico then appeared and continued to narrate the 'match' between the hulking navy blue parrot and his corvid foes. The hyacinth macaw then seized both crows and flung them down onto the floor.

"He has 'em down an' now he's flutterin' up..." cried Nico as he watched the hyacinth macaw flap up and then hover above the downed crows. Then after performing an elaborate midair somersault, he slammed HARD onto the crows.

"An' he's doin' a 540 Splash and body-slammed his opponents! Dey are OUT!" cried Nico and with that, he raised the hyacinth macaw's wing to show his triumph, the macaw glaring at the injured crows. Nearby, Blu, Jewel, Zephyr and Aurora found themselves surrounded by more cats, dogs and corvids and they closed in on the mated couple and the other two, determined to catch and re-cage them. Among them were Celosia the beagle and Blofeld the Persian.

"HAH, we've GOTCHA NOW, SPIX GEMS!" cried Blofeld and with that, he rallied his comrades into attacking. However, Blu and Zephyr shot Jewel and Aurora a look and immediately clutched wings. Then the two pairs launched into a dance to a short reprise of Hot Wings '(I Wanna Party)' to the stun of their foes. Celosia and Blofeld watched on with their comrades as the pair danced elaborately. Then some of the cats, dogs and corvids got caught up with the beat and began to dance too and as soon as they were caught up in the beat, Blu, Jewel, Zephyr and Aurora attacked; the males seized their females, spun round and launched them into the air to chant 'La-ya' and spin with their wings outstretched. Some of the hovering crows and ravens were struck down by the two female's outstretched wings while the cats and dogs, their eyes fixed on the shining blue female birds, were knocked down by Blu and Zephyr. Celosia was struck in the nose by a spinning Jewel as she continued to chant La-Ya while Blofeld was clawed in the face by Zephyr. Then as soon as both Jewel and Aurora, had finished their La-Ya chants (Aurora feeling dizzy from the spinning) and touched down, the four knocked the rest of their foes out with nasty wing strikes.

Near the mouth of the plane's cargo bay where Frank, Peter, Vera and Marv lay still-unconscious, more poachers pets' fought more of Blu's team members. Carla, Bia and Tiago were pursued into the cargo bay by Sombra, Embutido the Dachshund, Alonso the Siamese cat and another raven, a golden retriever and a black and white cat. Nearby, Orion and Ahsoka engaged the bulldog that worked for the poachers' pets, and another cat, a Tortoiseshell, in a pipe battle using pipes like swords. The way the flying fox pair fought with their opponents was reminiscent of the light-sword-wielding warriors in a Sci-Fi universe. However, they soon had to face Brutus and Lysandre as they also came in with pipes to fight the bats but soon, several marmosets including Mauro appeared with pipes of their own and served as reinforcements to the flying foxes and together, Orion and Brutus' teams fought by clashing pipes, metallic sounds jumping into the air as they connected each time. Carla, Bia and Tiago continued to flee from Sombra's group.

"C'mere, ya little blue-feathered BRATS!" snarled Embutido and he tried to lash a paw at the three only to miss. The six continued to chase the three chicks of Blu and Jewel into the plane until finally, the trio dove among the cages. The six stopped and began to look around the mess of scattered cages. Nearby, Peter who lay on his back moved and murmured a little before lying still again. Sombra, Embutido, Alonso, the other raven, the golden retriever and the black and white cat continued looking around for any flash of blue amongst the grey, brown and silver of the fallen cages when suddenly, a cerulean blur shot past behind them. Carla's giggles as she shot past pulled the six's attention her way but by the time they turned in her direction, she had gone. Then Bia appeared from among the cages and tossed a DIY nut at the group, hitting Embutido on the head. The six shot their gazes HER way but she disappeared. Then Tiago appeared near the golden retriever, seized his tail and tore out some fur, causing the dog pain. However, the six turned Tiago's way and saw that he, too, had disappeared except for a lock of golden fur as it descended gently to the floor of the plane. Then the six began to lose patience.

"WHERE ARE YA, ya lil' BLUE SPIX CATERPILLARS!" demanded Alonso as he and the other five continued to angrily look around for the three chicks. In response to this, Carla appeared from a gap between the collapsed cages and giggled at them.

"THERE!" cried the unnamed raven with a wing point. Immediately, the other five bolted for Carla but she disappeared. Then Bia appeared and blew a raspberry at them. Embutido lashed a paw at her but she disappeared, making the Dachshund miss. Immediately after, Tiago appeared and made a face. Embutido tried to seize him but the male chick fled before he could get his paw onto him. Next, Carla and Bia appeared and giggled at the six once again and lured the golden retriever into lunging for them only to miss as they disappeared. Then the three chicks began to toy with their six pursuers via this method. One or two would appear and either Sombra, the other raven, the golden retriever, the black and white cat, Alonso or Embutido would lash at them in an attempt to catch them only to miss as the chicks would disappear and then they would repeat the process. Sometimes, they would shoot by and strike their attempted kidnappers in the face and that happened to Sombra as Carla flew by and struck her cheek to her UTMOST annoyance. However, as this went on, the six began to tangle themselves around each other as the chicks took turns in outsmarting them via a Whack-a-Mole-type game. Bia appeared and disappeared as a paw or wing went to seize her, then Carla and then Tiago and the cycle would repeat. The two ravens, the golden retriever, the black and white cat, the Dachshund and the Siamese cat, in their frustrated and vain attempts to catch the three chicks, continued throwing their paws and wings at Carla, Bia and Tiago as they would appear, disappear and reappear to taunt them but the more they did that, the more they became more and more entangled and contorted around each other, which was what the three Spix macaw chicks had intended. Carla appeared and Som,bra's wing flew at her only for her to disappear. Bia appeared and Embutido's paw went to grab her but she disappeared. Then Tiago appeared and below a raspberry. Alonso flung his paw at him but he also disappeared. Then once the six were entangled enough, Carla, Bia and Tiago performed the climatic act of the trick; they all appeared at the same time and began to zoom around the entangled six. Barks, caws and meows exploded from Alonso, Embutido, Sombra and the other three as they were dizzied by the three comets. After a few seconds of this, Carla, Bia and Tiago, mischievous giggles emanating from their beaks, disappeared, leaving Alonso, Embutido, Sombra, the other unnamed raven, the golden retriever and the black and white cat to struggle to stand up in their contorted mess and then collapse in a heap. The six then looked around in stun at what had just happened as they began to sort themselves out from their entanglement.

"Let me guess," said Sopmbra as she rubbed her wing which had been wrapped painfully around Embutido's neck, "There hadn't been three of them but three dozen..."

Back outside, Orion and Ahsoka continued engaging Lysandre, Brutus, the Tortoiseshell cat and the bulldog in the pipe-fight with Mauro and some of the other marmosets, their pipes being wielded like light-sabres and making a metallic clashing noise each time they struck each other. Ahsoka shot Mauro a glare and continued fighting alongside him. Though they were enemies, they had put aside their differences to join forces against the poachers' pets for once. However, as the flying foxes and the marmosets continued to fight Brutus' team, Dooku and some ravens came up behind them with a large open cage prepared for seizing them. As Dooku's group did that, Alabaster and Poppy appeared and saw that the marmosets, Orion and Ahsoka were unaware that they were about to be captured. Immediately, the cockatoo pair took action. Orion's team continued fighting Brutus and his team, the four pushing the marmosets and the flying foxes closer to Dooku's little group with their cage when suddenly, two blurs, one of them white and yellow and the other, white, salmon pink and light pink, shot in and attacked Dooku's group. Orion and Brutus' teams, startled looked on and, to the horror of the latter and surprise of the former; they saw that Dooku's underlings had been caged by Alabaster and Poppy! Dooku, however, had managed to flee before the cockatoos could stuff him into the cage with his underlings. Then Brutus and Lysandre tossed aside their pipes and lunged for the cockatoos.

"Why you SNEAKY CRESTED..." the Doberman snarled but a pipe appeared and struck him in the face, jolting an eruption of stars in his vision. Lysandre was also struck in the face by another pipe and he was sent into a daze as well. Mauro and another marmoset had done these deeds and when they turned to glare at the Tortoiseshell cat and the bulldog, the pair threw aside their pipes and fled. Then after congratulating the marmosets including Mauro for striking the lead cat and dog and the marmosets left to help the other members of Blu's crowd fight their poachers' pet opponents, Orion, Ahsoka, Alabaster and Poppy regrouped with Nico, Pedro, Rafael, Eva and their 25 chicks, Blu, Jewel, Carla, Bia and Tiago, Milo and Celeste, Sirius and Samara, Zephyr, Brisa and Aurora and Luiz, and Alabaster and Poppy.

"We certainly ARE THROWIN' DOWN, aren't we, folks!?" cried Nico excitedly.

"Indeed we are," said Blu before he nodded to a certain brown and whit marmoset as he wrestled with Chihuahua away from some finches, "Especially Mauro over the despite us still being enemies."

Carla, Bia, Tiago and the toucan kids giggled and hi-fived each other.

"Bu' the couples who TRULY stand out are Milo an' Celeste, Sirius an' Samara, Zephyr an' Aurora, Orion an' Ahsoka an' Blu and Jewel," said Luiz.

"Indeed, dey are like FIRE an' ICE!" said Nico.

"Hip an' hop," added Pedro.

"Thunder an' lightning," said Rafael.

"Fish an' chips," said Sirius. When everyone else but Blu, Aurora and Milo shot the male glaucous macaw a confused look, Aurora went to explain what Sirius meant.

"It's an English fast food meal," she said, "It's a VERY common meal served in fast foods around the world."

"Oh, yes, we've seen a fast food restraint in downtown Rio and they do that dish," said Alabaster. Laughter then exploded among the cast.

"Y'know, sometimes nothin' ya say makes any sense," said Rafael, Eva nodding in agreement. More laughter erupted from the group. However, that was immediately shattered by a MASSIVE wrathful screech. Carla, Bia, Tiago and the 25 toucan kids released IMMENSE screams of terror and they were immediately scooped up by Rafael, Eva, Blu, Jewel, Samara, Orion, Alabaster and Poppy while Nico and Pedro darted away, Luiz bolted, and Celeste, Zephyr and Brisa flapped up. Aurora, Sirius, Milo and Ahsoka, who were late to react, turned round and to their UTMOST horror, they saw a massive ragged white form with a long neck and his plumage crisscrossed with scars appear and slam into them. Then the form, Vecna pinned the four under his belly on the ground.

"Well, the ONLY THING that will MAKE ANY SENSE TO YOU MAGGOTS IS MY EXPLOSIVE WRATH," the hulking swan bellowed, "I warned ya if YOU DID NOT RETURN TO YA CAGES, YOU WOULD FACE MY FURY... AN' YOU HAVE CHOSEN THE FURY OPTION!" and with that, he opened his beak wide and clamped it HARD onto Sirius' throat to strangle him while Milo, Ahsoka and Aurora who struggled to breathe under the savage, hulking swan, writhed. Immediately, the others tried to attack Vecna to get him off of the four.

"Let 'em GO, you VILE..." screeched Samara but Vecna flung a wing out and whacked her aside. Celeste, Orion, Zephyr and Brisa did the same but they too, were struck down by Vecna's wings. Blu, once Jewel had taken Carla, Bia and Tiago to safety with Eva and the 25 toucan kids, tried his luck but he too, was knocked down. Jewel, once she had entrusted

her and Blu's three children to the care of Eva as Vecna was FAR too dangerous for the chicks, also tried to attack but she too, was struck down, as were Alabaster, Rafael and Poppy when they tried to help.

"He's TOO STRONG!" cried Poppy, her white, red and yellow crest flared from terror. Sirius, who was in the fatal chokehold of Vecna's beak, then began to slow down in his movements while Milo, Ahsoka and Aurora continued to struggle under the vicious swan's massive body. Mauro, after dealing with an exotic shorthair cat and seeing the three macaws and flying fox in mortal danger, galloped towards the swan and leaped onto his back to the ASTONISHMENT of Blu and the others.

"YOU release those macaws an' THAT DOG-FACED BAT, ya OVERGROWN DUCK!" the marmoset snarled and with that, he seized Vecna's neck in his hands and began to throttle him. This act made Vecna release Sirius' neck, allowing the male glaucous macaw to take in some breaths, shallow though they were due to the crushing weight of Vecna's body on him, but enough to pull him out of the depths of unconsciousness.

"Mauro," Blu cried, "Mauro, GET OFF OF THAT SWAN!"

However, Mauro was too blinded by rage to listen and continued throttling Vecna. Then he made the swan release Milo, Sirius, Aurora and Ahsoka to the latter's UTMOST astonishment. The moment this happened, Blu, Jewel, Celeste, Samara, Zephyr, Brisa, Orion, Rafael, Nico, Pedro and Luiz rushed for the four and helped the gasping quartet to their feet. As Mauro continued throttling Vecna, the swan's temper exploded BIG time. With a MASSIVE hiss exploding from his orange and black beak, the swan whirled round and clamped that beak HARD onto Mauro's shoulder EXTREMELY hard to the point of drawing blood. Marmoset cries of agony exploded from Mauro's mouth and he released the swan's neck. This done, Vecna seized the marmoset by the tail and flung him HARD at the Sky Van. Blu and the others watched on in HORROR as the lead marmoset flew as a brown and white furry comet, slammed HARD into the lip of the plane's cargo hold entrance and crashed to the floor next to the still-unconscious Frank. Nico, Pedro, Blu, Alabaster, Rafael and Poppy rushed at the downed marmoset.

"Are you okay, Lil' King Kong!?" asked Pedro but as Mauro stood up and tried to move his right arm, EXTREME pain exploded from his shoulder, making him screech and seize the joint.

"M-m-my SHOULDEEER!" cried the marmoset in agony. Immediately, Blu went to carefully check it as Vecna then launched into a mocking laughter at the marmoset's injury and pain.

"Oops-a-daisy," he crooned, "Sorry one of those primate rats had to 'ave its shoulder popped outa joint. I only wish it was a dung parrot, but still it SERVES YA RIGHT FOR MESSIN' WI' ME, MONKEY!"

Blu then gently felt Mauro's injured shoulder and deduced the injury. "Yep, it's a dislocation; he needs to be taken aside as he's too injured to continue fighting."

Then while Rafael, Nico, Pedro, Alabaster and Poppy went to take the lead marmoset aside, Vecna continued cackling. Then Zephyr, Brisa, Orion, Samara and Celeste shot the psychotic, sadistic swan looks of UTMOST thunder at what he had done to Mauro as Milo, Sirius, Ahsoka and Aurora eventually recovered from being flattened by him.

"Why you VILE, BARBARIC..." Zephyr screeched and with that he and the other four rocketed at Vecna and tackled EXTREMELY hard into him, sending the swan into a stunned stumble for a moment. That did it, ANY restraint Vecna had over his temper was completely gone. Shooting the main nine a volcanic glare with his single pale blue eye which blazed with pale blue fire, he got ready to fight them.

"I'm gonna give YOU NINE t' the count of three to get YASELVES CAGED or I WILL GO FERAL AN' MAUL YA LIKE A RABID DOG!" the swan bellowed at the top of his voice. Immediately, Sirius, Milo, Ahsoka, Aurora, Zephyr, Brisa, Orion, Celeste and Samara took up defensive poses and got prepared to fight the swan. Rafael saw the imminent danger the nine were putting themselves in and flew back over to them once Mauro was safely on the sidelines away from the battlefield with his dislocated shoulder. Blu also came in and saw the nine face off against the hulking swan whose strength exceeded that of all nine of the combined as he started his countdown, "ONE..."

"You nine, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Linda's former animal companion cried out, "RUN FROM HIM WILL YA!"

"TWO..." came from Vecna's beak. Still the nine stood their ground.

"WHAT ARE YA WAITIN' FOR!?" Blu demanded all the more, "RUN, NOW!"

"THREE..." when Vecna saw that the nine weren't going anywhere, he finally let all floodwaters broke loose, "THAT'S IT!" and with that, he launched himself at the nine with a MASSIVE snarl. Sirius, Milo, Ahsoka, Aurora, Zephyr, Brisa, Orion, Celeste and Samara protectively covered their head s with their wings when suddenly; they heard a 'whumph' of a hulking feathery body on the concrete at their feet. They uncovered their faces to look at Vecna when they saw, to their UTMOST surprise, that the swan's vicious head and beak had stopped mere inches from them. But when the nine looked up at what had stopped Vecna in his tracks, horror tore through them. Blu and also Jewel as she came in with Nico, Pedro, Alabaster, Poppy and Luiz and also Gabriel the old blue-and-gold macaw who had helped to subdue many of the poachers' pets, looked on and to their UTMOST horror, they saw a familiar bird with his large orange and black beak clamped onto Vecna's stubby tail.

"RAFAEL, are you UTTERLY MAD!?" Blu cried out.

"You'll GET YOURSELF KILLED!" yelled Luiz. Rafael, however, ABSOLUTELY refused to release Vecna's tail to the swan's UTMOST outrage. Then the toucan told Aurora and the others, his beak struggling to move due to it being clamped into Vecna's tail, "GO, you nine, RUUUN!"

"RELEASE ME TAIL AT ONCE, ya BIG NOSED SEWER RAT!" Vecna bellowed and with that, the swan swung his head and long neck like a snake and tried to attack Rafael but the toucan remained just out of his reach. Then the swan and the toucan latched onto his tail feathers entered into a vicious spin as Blu, Aurora and the others looked on in horror. Rafael released cries of terror as he was dragged in circles by the abnormally powerful swan while at the same time trying to avoid the waterbird's VICIOUS bite and massive flapping wings. Sirius, Milo, Ahsoka, Aurora, Zephyr, Brisa, Orion, Celeste and Samara, together with Blu, Jewel Nico, Pedro, Alabaster, Poppy and Luiz and also Gabriel ran and flew after the spinning toucan and swan as they sped away from them. Eva, Carla, Bia and Tiago and the 25 toucan kids looked on with some of them looking away and others screaming. Nearby, some marmosets and little bats also watched on at the horrifying scene.

"That toucan's sure got the tiger, or rather the VICIOUS swan by the tail, he has," said one.

"Yeah an' he better hang on tightly too an' avoid that vicious beak," said another. Rafael continued keeping a firm grip on Vecna's tail as the swan continued to spin himself and the toucan around in an attempt to bite him.

"Rafael, RELEASE HIS TAIL!" cried Blu. However, Rafael refused to do so and continued spinning in circles with Vecna. Then the spinning swan and toucan headed towards the side of the Sky Van and slammed into it. As this happened, Vecna, a MASSIVE hiss exploding from his agape beak, lashed at Rafael and clamped as HARD as he could onto the toucan's leg, sending EXCRUCIATING agony ripping through his leg and drawing blood. Rafael released a screech and finally released Vecna's tail. Vecna then released Rafael's leg and went to maul Rafael when suddenly, a maya bleu blur shot in and struck his face. Vecna flashed a look of stun as the maya blue blur, Aurora, swerved round and struck him in the face again. Then Sirius and Milo appeared and began to beat Vecna over the head with pipes.

"YOU leave RAFAEL ALONE you PSYCHO!" cried Milo as he struck the swan over the head. Then Vecna, an EXPLOSIVE hiss gushing from his beak, then turned his attention on the male Lear's and male glaucous macaw and began to pursue them. Sirius and Milo whirled round and tried to beat Vecna with their pipes but this had little effect on the savage swan. Luiz then jumped between the two macaws and tried to put on the fiercest look he could muster at the swan and bark the fiercest bark but the swan only lashed at him and hissed RIGHT in his face, forcing Luiz to flee, all courage vaporised in an instant. After Luiz fled, squeaky barks exploding from his drooling mouth and his tail literally between his hind legs, a blue and yellow blur flew in and struck Vecna in the upper body and lower neck. Vecna was immediately knocked down as Gabriel but the swan quickly recovered and was about to go for the elderly blue-and-gold macaw but he felt something clamp HARD onto his tail again. Whirling round, he saw, to his UTMOST rage, that Rafael had re-clamped his beak onto his tail again. Despite being injured with a bitten and bleeding leg, the toucan was determined to help subdue the swan. Immediately, Vecna darted his head and long neck like a snake to seize Rafael but Gabriel jumped onto him and tore out some head feathers with his beak. As the swan screeched in agony, Blu and Zephyr appeared, seized Rafael from Vecna's tail and darted away but what happened next will etch a traumatic memory into their minds. Vecna, EXPLOSIVE RAGE erupting, then seized Gabriel before the gold blue-and-gold macaw could flee and began to VICOUSLY maul him like a savage dog. Pained squawks and feathers flew ABSOLUTELY everywhere and the scene was so gruesome that the group had to look away. Ahsoka screamed Gabriel's name but Orion came in and shielded her eyes from the gruesome sight. Nearby, some of the members of Blu's crowd and their poachers' pet foes also saw the sight and fled in terror and Eva had barked at the toucan kids and Blu and Jewel's chicks to also look away. Then as soon as he had finished fatally mauling Gabriel to the anguish of some blue-and-gold macaw friends which Vecna relished like a huge treat (after all, anguished cries from parrots were his favourite ear candy just as badly injured and heartbroken parrots were his favourite eye candy), Vecna tossed aside Gabriel's mangled body for the blue-and-gold macaw's friends to fly to him and then sauntered towards Blu and the others like a rabid predatory animal, psychotic hisses filtering through his vicious beak and his head curved over like a snake. Blu, Jewel, Sirius, Milo, Ahsoka, Aurora, Zephyr, Brisa, Orion, Celeste and Samara then got prepared to fight the VICIOUS swan, this time altogether. The grieving for Gabriel will have to wait and the eleven was determined to subdue the swan for good and until Tulio and the others turned up with the cops which they had hoped, especially before the storm made its appearance. But taking down such a massive, powerful bird like Vecna was going to require a HUGE amount of team effort.

As Vecna continued sauntering towards Blu and the other ten, Eva, Luiz, Nico, Pedro, Alabaster and Poppy checked Rafael's injured leg where Vecna had brutally bitten him, the 25 toucan kids, Carla, Bia and Tiago standing nearby. However, the group was unaware that they were being stalked. Behind the group, Dooku and some of his crow and raven underlings, among them Sombra and Noire, crept upon them, their eyes on three certain targets...

Vecna continued approaching the eleven, his wings spread out wide and hisses increasing in intensity as he approached them but before he could lunge at them to attack, a voice shouted behind him.

"Don't ya DARE even THINK of hurtin ANY of one of those blue macaws or flying foxes, Vecna, or ELSE!"

Blu, Jewel, Sirius, Milo, Ahsoka, Aurora, Zephyr, Brisa, Orion, Celeste and Samara shot the speaker a look and to their UTMOSAT astonishment, it was a young Dalmatian and with him was a young calico. Vecna turned and glared furiously at Sunspot and Katrina with his frigid single blue eye, the Dalmatian puppy and calico wearing glares on their faces. Charon was somewhere else, helping to keep any chicks safe during the ongoing poachers' pets-versus-Blu's-friends battle.

"Or else WHAT, Sunspot and Katrina," the swan snarled.

"Or ELSE, we'll lead the COPS to HERE," Katrina retorted.

"AN' GETTIN' you AN' YA OWNERS CAUGHT!" put in Sunspot. Vecna then sauntered towards the young Dalmatian and calico. Nearby, Brutus and Lysandre looked on with PURE outrage at the traitorous pair as they struggled with two hyacinth macaws and some marmosets.

"Don't ya DARE take that path, you two," Vecna snarled. However, Sunspot and Katrina stood their ground. The whole poaching business had finally driven the pair and also Charon to the edge.

"We're THROUGH with this poaching stuff," Sunspot continued furiously.

"We're LEAVIN' it AN' your group, Vecna for-EVER just like our owners JACK AND JILL have done!" added Katrina, grsturing with her front paws.

"Oh, YEAH, you two traitors!?" demanded Vecna, "An' WHAT will YOU TWO BE without POACHIN'!?"

"House pets," Katrina replied flatly.

"With BETTER owners who do NOT abuse animals an' smuggle 'em out of THIS country for dirty profits," put in Sunspot.

"While Jack and Jill will be finding a BETTER purpose to follow in their lives," Katrina finished. With that, the calico and the Dalmatian with a spot pattern resembling those on the sun on his back launched into a sprint. Vecna glared volcanically after them.

"BAD choice of a life AN' BAD CHOICE OF OWNERS!" the barbaric swan snarled. He then turned his glare back at Blu and the other ten who had been watching the whole scene in stun, "I'll be BACK for you, BLUE-FEATHERED SCUM AN' FURRY WINGED RATS!"

"Oh, YEAH, well you LEAVE THOSE TWO YOUNG CITY PETS ALONE!" Samara snarled but Vecna ignored her, spread his wings, smacking Samara in the face and knocking her back into Sirius' wings as the male glaucous macaw caught her and launched into flight after Sunspot and Katrina as they continued to sprint, faster than they had EVER sprinted before in their lives. However, because they were still young, their short legs could not allow them to run at the speed of an adult Dalmatian or calico cat. Right behind them, Vecna flew like a white malicious ghost, the scars streaking his plumage clearly visible, and because of his massive wings, he began to quickly close the gap between him and Sunspot and Katrina. Behind Vecna; Sirius, Milo, Aurora, Zephyr, Brisa, Celeste, Samara, Blu, Jewel, Orion and Ahsoka gave chase with Blu carrying Ahsoka due to her being flightless still and Jewel lifting Orion into the air and then dropping him so that he could fly for he could not take off from the ground like the macaws could. However, due to their wings being shorter than Vecna's, the macaws and Orion could not catch up to him. As Vecna continued to close in on the desperately-sprinting Sunspot and Katrina, he released a MASSIVE screech that echoed across the air of the airport runway, startling the Dalmatian and calico into releasing gasps and Blu and the others to flinch, Blu nearly dropping Ahsoka from the shock of the vocal blast. Nonetheless, they continued their pursuit of the swan while Katrina and Sunspot, adrenaline flooding their bloodstreams and propelling their legs like crazy, continued to run for their lives. They knew that they had truly stepped out of line and into Vecna's bad wings BIG time and if he caught them, they would be unlikely to survive his wrath, especially now that Vecna was a flying Krakatoa swan.

Vecna continued his approach of the calico and Dalmatian puppy and as he closed in on the sprinting pair, he got ready to drop onto them and attack them. He was aiming to maul them like he did Gabriel earlier and the moment he finally caught up to them, he darted his neck at Katrina's tail and seized her HARD. Agonised screeches exploded from the calico as Vecna then slowed down and began to prepare to maul the writhing and panicked young cat. However, Sunspot, wrath flaring within him and exploding like a superhero who shared his name, swerved round and tackled HARD into Vecna's to get him to release his calico friend. Blu who had Ahsoka in his talons and the others stopped DEAD and watched on in horror as Sunspot then began to engage the powerful swan in battle; the Dalmatian leaped at the swan and the pair began to brawl. Nearby, Katrina clutched her bitten tail which wept a bit of blood, weeping. Immediately, Blu and co darted over to her. Though she was a city cat, one of the main natural enemies of the jungle birds, Blu and company showed concern for her due to her helping them and the others escape.

"Hold still, calico," Blu commanded as he put Ahsoka down so that he could check on the kitten, the others surrounding the weeping and hysterical Katrina as she clutched her bitten and bleeding tail, "Let us see your tail..."

Katrina reluctantly allowed the macaws and the flying foxes to check her tail when suddenly; the twelve heard agonised barks explode from the brawling Vecna and Sunspot. Katrina shot a horrified and distressed look as Vecna managed to overpower Sunspot and then throw him a good distance with a powerful thrust of his head and neck.

"SUNSPOOOOT!" cried she as Sunspot flew a good twenty or so feet and crashed violently onto the runway's tarmac. Blu and the others winced and Sirius, Milo and Aurora were about to fly to Sunspot to check on him but before they could do that, shouts exploded from the main battlefield, calling Vecna's attention. Blu, Jewel, Sirius, Milo, Aurora, Zephyr, Brisa, Celeste, Samara, Orion and Ahsoka and a pained Katrina turned along with Vecna to the shouter and they saw him, Dooku with some of his crow and raven underlings including Sombra and Noire, call for Vecna. However, what the ravens and crows brandished next sent IMMENSE horror ripping through Blu's group, ESPECALLY Blu and Jewel and to their UTMOST anger. Dooku's group held up a cage containing three little Spix macaw chicks, all of them UTTERLY terrified. Behind this crow and raven group, Nico, Pedro, Alabaster, Poppy, Luiz, Eva, the 25 toucan kids and an injured Rafael, his bitten right leg bandaged by a makeshift bandage from the crude first aid kit the poachers kept came in, together with Charon who had helped to tend to Rafael's injury. With them were some macaws, among them Gabriel's blue-and-gold macaw friends and when they saw who Dooku's group had in their clutches, HORROR swept through them.

"CARLA, BIA, TIAGO!" cried Blu and Jewel together as Vecna then smirked evilly, abandoned his attack on Sunspot and Katrina and quickly went over to Dooku's group. As the swan left, Katrina immediately got up and rushed over to Sunspot.

"You go an' rescue those three chicks," cried she, "While I see to Sunspot. I'm a cat and cats aren't flying creatures anyway like you macaws and bats are."

Blu and Jewel darted after Vecna, followed by Aurora, Zephyr, Brisa, Sirius, Samara and Orion. Milo, Celeste and Ahsoka were torn between running after Katrina to check on Sunspot and pursuing Blu's group but Katrina urged them to take the latter option, so they did. Milo picked up Ahsoka for she cannot run fast and the Lear's macaws chased after the other eight. However, as Blu and the others approached Vecna, he shot them a sadistic and demonic look, freezing them in their tracks with his icy, single eyed glare.

"STAY WHERE YA ARE, or these THREE BLUE MACAW CHICKS MEET THEIR END!" the swan snarled in a demonic voice, before turning to Rafael's group as they approached from the other side of him and Dooku's group; the caged and EXTREMELY TERRIFIED Carla, Bia and Tiago held hostage in their clutches them, "YOU AS WELL, RATS! STAY BACK!" and with that, the swan took to the soon-to-be-stormy skies with Dooku, Sombra, Noire and the other ravens and crows with them with the caged Carla, Bia and Tiago in tow. However, Vecna's threat did not deter Blu and the others from going after them.
