"Come out, come out, wherever you are!"

The young woman hissed at the voice delivering those words with a singalong tone while she half-supported and half-dragged her two companion away from their attacker, with their clothes torn up from the attacks and a blood trail being made from their wounds, too wound up to attempt removing the blood with magic. It was only thanks to the help of the semi conscious companion who managed to point out a hidden passageway in the building that she managed to drag the two through before using her wand to manipulate the blood trail away in the opposite direction and shut the door quickly to seal it tightly.

Only after applying a good number of wards to keep them safe, did Daphne Greengrass lower her wand and let out a sigh as she slumped down on the wall to catch her breath. After a few deep breaths to steady herself, Daphne proceeded to cast whatever healing spells she knew to help her friends, her mind getting lit by all that had happened the past half hour.

Daphne was staying back in school with her friends Tracey Davis and Susan Bones to deal with last minute paperwork for the student council, and were about to leave the academy when the building shook from some odd explosion that sent them stumbling to the ground, thankfully not next to the staircase. They quickly make their way to the ground floor to leave only for the wall to collapse with someone crashing through. Their screams distracted whoever that was enough for a second figure to come through and stabbed them in both the heart and the head. They gurgled out blood before their body glowed and burst into gold dust that flowed into the attacker. The glow was bright enough to show the attacker as a dark haired woman in a black dress splattered with blood, and a crazed smile on her face at the kill she made.

And because of the se glow and their shouts, the woman saw them and immediately went after them with the intent to remove eyewitnesses.

The woman clearly had magic for an array of attacks but seemed to prefer using cutting spells or her knives to cut them up for maximum pain, and she definitely enjoyed tormenting them with her taunts as she slowly made more wounds and cuts in the process. She was amused with their attempts to retaliate and to escape from her, her cackling making it clear that it was pointless to do so. Susan was able to fire off a flash-bang spell that knocked the woman off a few seconds for Tracey and Daphne to fire their own set of spells to distract and hide their presence with smoke spells before they moved away, with Daphne doing the lion's share of the moving.

They needed a new plan or some manner of contacting someone from the outside.

"Daphne." The girl was startled to find her friend groaning as she struggled to push herself off the wall. "Did we get away from her?"

"For now. I have managed to remove our traces and lead her on a different path, but I don't know if it is effective." Daphne answered while checking her head. "I know you are not well, but how are you feeling?"

"Like I got immature mandrakes screaming at me for a few hours before getting run over by one of Hagrid's pets." Tracey shook her head lightly and winced from the pounding headache. "But at least I'm alive, that has to be something against that mad woman."

"Who was that woman?" Daphne asked as she checked on Susan who was groaning.

"Don't know. Pretty sure there was nothing in the news about a crazy bitch running around casting spells and gutting people up with a knife." Tracey was being her usual sarcastic self when she was getting stressed out. "But what about the guy she fought? He just turned into gold dust and went inside her."

"I don't know what is going on. What I do know is that we need to get you and Susan some medical attention." Daphne then winced while placing a hand to an open cut on her leg. "I could use some help too."

"Well, this passageway should get us to the corridor outside of the ritual contract rooms. There is an exit that leads out to the side of the academy, not used that often but it works." Tracey tried to stretch her arms only to wince from the pain in her sides.

"I have to ask, how do you know this passage?" Daphne thought she knew all the secret routes in and about the campus, and she was in the student council for that matter.

"I needed to get away from the professors at times, and some of the boys were offering to take me out on dates." Tracey shrugged carelessly at that, making Daphne sigh at her friend's manner of treating boys. Tracey was not unaware of her appearance nor her status as one of the more desirable girls in Selas Academy, and she often used that to get what she wanted, and in some situations would use the opportunity to skip class when she wanted. The number of times Daphne had to bail her out of trouble were enough to warrant a standalone detention book, embossed with her own name no less.

"We need to get moving." Daphne waved her wand only to stumble against the wall. "Damn it, I am out of prana."

"Hold on, let me help." Tracey grunted as she pushed herself off the wall. Between the two of them, they managed to carry Susan in their arms and slowly made their way down the secret passage to the exit, their progress hampered by their wounds and their diminishing adrenaline. But they pushed on with the knowledge that time wasted on their end could result with Susan's passing, and the possibility of the woman finding them.

It felt like hours when they finally hit what appeared to be a deadend of the tunnel with walls filled with etched patterns. Tracey reached out with some difficulty and touched a few of them in a certain manner to make them glow briefly before the outline of a door appeared on the wall and then opened up to reveal the corridor leading to the corridor that Daphne recognized to be leading to the chambers that their predecessors had once held rituals, now serving as a semi history room with people making sure that the students do not conduct any rituals without someone watching. She recalled her first year when someone attempted to conduct a ritual meant for general healing, only for it to be necromancy because someone had altered the instructions.

Yes, she had a healthy respect and fear for rituals of any sort.

"Wow, it is so different in the dark." Tracey blinked about the place. "Good thing I came here a few times or we would be in trouble."

"Where?" Daphne asked. Tracey went to move them towards the possible exit, when a maniacal giggling sounded in the corridor that had the hair on their necks standing up.

"Hello~ I can smell you~"

"Crap!" Tracey and Daphne tried to speed up only for the walls to crack and collapse, blocking their way to the exit. "Ah, come on!"

"In there." Daphne turned to look at Susan who apparently woke up and was pointing unsteadily at the door. "Emergency exit inside the room."

"Come on!" Daphne dragged Susan and by extension Tracey through the door and locked it shut. Looking around, she noted that they were in one of the older ritual rooms of the academy that had been designated unsafe to use, having been exposed to the tests of time and elements to the point they had worn away the original markings and the place was being preserved under heavy wards to hold back the weather even though the gaps in the walls had been covered up. Daphne spotted the door that was a few feet away from them and started moving, only to yell out loud as their legs collapsed under them with fresh cuts bleeding. She twisted to fire off a shield spell in time to block another cutting spell aimed at them, the spell effects still strong enough to cut a few strands of hair by their ends.

"Oh, someone is quite quick on the draw." Their attacker cackled as she emerged from the shadows, the dim lighting giving her face a horrible visage with her eyes glowing at them. A blade then appeared in her hand, giving off an eerie green glow while still showing blood from her last kill. "I wonder if you can give me a better workout than my previous fighter?"

"BOMBARDA TRIFA MAXIMA!"

At the word, Daphne dropped to the floor in time to avoid Susan's spell rushing over her head straight for their attacker who managed to flick her knife to somehow split the bombardment spell into two beams that shot past her head and into the walls, causing them to explode and taking the roof out at the same time. Tracey used the distraction to fire off her own set of spells in hopes of disorientating their opponent with the use of smoke and random light flashes, and Daphne aided them with conjuring up water to wet the ground around them before turning it into ice. She then grabbed the two and with some effort pushed them to the ice so that they could glide their way to the exit.

It was not to be as the wind shifted and a sudden burst of air managed to push them back and over the rope barrier, landing hard in the middle of the old ritual circle. The sudden impact made all of them grasp in pain along with the blood leaking out of their cuts and onto the etched floor.

"Very naughty. But quite resourceful." The wind parted to reveal the woman now bathed under the moonlight peeking through the settling dust. The woman was evidently quite beautiful with pale skin and wavy black hair that seemed to pour down her head like a dark waterfall, and a dark dress that was evidently good quality despite its torn state showing off her figure. The whole appearance was ruined by the blood splatters on her and the rather deranged look in her eyes as she looked at them with a dangerous smile like a cat playing with its food. "It is quite a surprise to see young ones this capable in the current age with magic so weak, you would have done well in the future. A future that sadly I need to cut short." The blade glowed more ominously at her statement as she walked forward with slow and deliberate steps.

"Why are you doing this?" Tracey gasped as her strength gave out and she was forced to ask with her head on her side with her blood filling the etched runes of the floor.

"Well, I suppose I could give you this tidbit." The woman hummed as she twirled her knife with no regard to the blade between her fingers. "I am in a tournament where it is strictly invitation only, and any outside witnesses must be eliminated at all costs to ensure its secrecy." She stopped right in front of Daphne and gripped her blade tightly. "And since you three saw me taking out my opponent, I have to make sure you stay silent, nothing personal."

"Oh yeah?" Daphne raised her wand only to instinctively release her grip to force her hand down in time to avoid the blade that cut her wand cleanly in half.

"So feisty, my dear. Good." The woman's smile became more deadly as she raised her blade above her head. "I do like my prey fighting to the end while drawing their last breath."

"No!" Tracey tried to force her body to move.

"Daphne!" Susan tried to get to her only for her arms and legs to fail. "Damn it!"

Daphne could not do anything on her end, everything seemingly going at slow motion as she watched the blade getting distorted by the aura coming off it and what sounded like the screams of the damned coming out of it. She could not believe that this was going to be their end, they were going to be killed by some murderer and no one was there to save them.

'Somebody! Anybody!'

The blade swung down at her, with Susan's and Tracey's screams filling the area as unseen by the group, their blood converging in the middle of the old ritual circle to fill an etched symbol of a triangle, followed by a circle with a line dividing it.

'Please save us!'

Right as the blade was going to hit Daphne, the old ritual circle lit up like a Christmas tree before a sudden burst of power forced the woman off her feet and sent hurling into the wall at high speeds. The trio of young women did not get the chance to celebrate as the runes started to light up beneath them before lines started forming and joining together in intricate patterns to create a complete circle with them inside. The three suddenly gasped from the sudden sensation of burning on the back of their hands and the sudden loss of prana with them, before odd images appeared in front of them in particles of light. The particles gathered together to form three loose visages of a human, with notable gaps and missing limbs for each of them. When it appeared they could not go further, the three silhouettes seemingly slammed into each other in the middle of the circle, the action releasing a large burst of light that almost turned them blind from the reaction, the young women not expecting that and yelled out in shock and fear at what was going on.

What seemed like minutes compressed into seconds when the bright light finally started to dim enough for the women to blink away the spots in their eyes and to squint around them before focusing on the figure who was standing in the circle with them. The person in question appeared to be a tall man that was dressed in a mix of modern and old clothes, with armour greaves and gauntlets on his limbs and armour plating on the chest. The most distinguishing feature had to be the silver cloak that he wore to cover part of the body and his head to hide his face, the wind making the cloak float about in a manner like he was wearing silver water instead. A octagon broach held the cloth in place around his neck, with a symbol of triangle inside a circle and bisected by a single line in the middle.

"Impossible!" Daphne and the others snapped their heads to their attacker who had climbed back into the room, her smile now replaced with an angry expression directed at the new person. "There can't be a summoning circle in this academy!" The man's response was to tilt his head at her before taking a step forward.

A step that had him appearing right in front of the older woman with a fist buried straight into her sternum, the action bending her over briefly before sending her flying again off the ground like she was shot out of a cannon. Not content with that, he bent his legs slightly and shot off without disturbing the ritual circle. The same could not be said for the floor around it which cracked and split as if someone had dropped a wrecking board on it. The man appeared next to her in mid-air and threw out a leg that sent her through the wall again and bounced off the floor like a ragdoll before she managed to right herself in the air and landed properly on the ground.

The woman let out a pained gasp as she held her stomach, spitting out blood while she glared at the man who had managed to damage her. "Well, you girls have the luck of the maidens to summon a Servant at the last minute. Now what class are you?" The man merely shrugged before raising an arm to conjure up an ornate staff to his hand and get into a fighting position. "A combat mage huh? This would be fun." The woman let out a cackle as she raised her blade only to stumble and glanced to an empty spot with an ugly look. "What do you mean, fall back?" Daphne and the others watched her seemingly talking to someone visible to her before she growled at them.

"This is your lucky night young ones, I have to leave right now. But before I do." Her dagger appeared in her hand while her eyes shifted to Daphne and the others. "I still need to get rid of some witnesses." She swung hard at the last word, a giant wave of light coming off the edge and shot straight at Daphne and the girls. The man moved to intercept and raised his staff to conjure up a barrier to block the attack in time. The girls hunkered down from the burst of wind that came from the blade smashing against the barrier, while their protector stood firm with the hood blowing off his head from the wind. "Oh, so that is what you look like. What a handsome young man. Too bad I can't stick around for now. Tata kiddies!" The woman let out a cackle as she disappeared in a column of smoke that flew away in the distance just as her attack finally broke down from the defence and their saviour could lower his arm and drop the barrier as he watched the smoke disappearing after a while.

"Is everyone alright?" Tracey asked with groans answering her question. That also brought the man's attention to them as he turned to face them, and despite all that had gone on, their hearts seemed to pause at the sight of the young man who made his way to them steadily. His dark hair was tied into a rough ponytail and had traces of silver around his sideburns, framing the face that was youthful and appeared roughly a year or two older than them. His most distinguishing features had to be the emerald green eyes that spoke of years beyond his apparent youth, and what appeared to be a scar above his left eye that was covered by the fringe. They could not stop staring as the man paused right by the ritual circle that had run out of power and lost its glow, leaving them bathed in the moonlight peaking through the settling dust.

"By the will of the Throne, I have come forth from the Ether in response to your summons." The man spoke lightly while looking at the trio, the moonlight casting its light upon him to make the silver cloak shimmer and give him an almost ethereal glow around him as he gazed upon them with his glowing eyes.

"I ask thee, who is my Master for the Grail War?"

Author's Notes:

A new idea for the cauldron, inspired by the visual novel known for different interpretations of history, gender-bent kings, sexy gorgons, witches and samurais, Twin Tailed Tsunderes, Traps, and the tendency to make history teachers weep for their students' grades XD

To clarify, this is not a crossover. This is a completely different Potter verse that is using Nasuverse as the bones for the story. One thing I noted for those crossovers, Harry is either a young boy / girl / adult getting Servants, with a couple of mentions of him becoming a Caster because of him being the Master of Death. A lot of these stories are also not completed, or are absolute crack that make them hard to read at times.

I have no idea whether I want to maintain the original classes, or make up new ones here.
