"Alright. Everyone here." Said The man walking to the dining room table. "Not yet James. Kim will be here any minute. Boys come down." Said the woman calling upstairs. James set up the plates and looked out the window seeing a police car pulling up. "Ann. The police are here?" Said James. "What?" Said Ann as a police officer got out. "I'll go see the issue." Said James. He went to the door in time before the police could knock. "Is everything alright?" Said James. "Yes. Im just here to escort a relative here. Lola Dawn." Said the officer. "Lola Dawn? We dont a relative by that name. Can we see her?" Said James. "Wait here." Said the officer walking back to the car. He opened the back door for a young woman stepping out with her suitcase and backpack walking up to the house. "Hello Lola. The officer said you're a relative of ours." Said James. "Yeah. Long lost niece actually on your side of the family. Here's some of my documents that my mom gave me before she passed." Said Lola pulling out the orange envelope from her backpack. "We got it from here. Thank you." Said James letting her in. Lola placed her stuff in the living room as the woman walked in seeing her. "Ann. I want you and the boys to meet Lola. She's apparently my long-lost niece." Said James following her. "Nice to meet you. Meet Tim and Jim. Kim will be here soon. Want to join us?" Said Ann. "Sure." Said Lola setting her backpack down. She followed them to the table sitting next to James and heard the door open and close. "Sorry im late. I oh hi." Said a girl similar to Ann but with long hair and green eyes. "Kim meet your cousin Lola." Said James. "So are you here alone?" Said Ann. "Yeah unfortunately. I just lost my mom and my dad was out the picture." Said Lola.
"I never knew dad had a sister. What was she like?" Said Kim taking her seat. "My mom was a marine for nine years then did program for self-defense and straightening bad kids before they end up in prison." Said Lola. "Thats sounds alot of work but amazing. Another Hero in the family." Said Kim. "Another Hero?" Said Lola. "Kimmy goes off on countless missions." Said Tim. "A part time thing really. No big." Said Kim. "Maybe i can join or help out." Said Lola. "Are you visiting?" James asked looking at the documents. "No. Im actually moving here. I didnt have much family in New York. I even used my last paycheck to get an apartment but its currently being renovated on few spots due to rat issues." Said Lola. "Oh well you can stay here until things gets settled." Said Ann. "Thanks. But theres a few things you should know about me." Said Lola. "You have a been in trouble with the police since eighth grade?" Said James. "Yeah but only because i was defending myself against a perverted gym teacher and nobody believed me so i broke a few bones on his body." Said Lola crossing her arms. "Cool." Said Tim. "Were you expelled?" Said Jim. "Boys." Said Ann. "You did try to do the right for yourself. Anything else?" Said James. "Been to jail ten times which met a few good friends." Said Lola. "Including a boyfriend." Said Jim as he and Tim made kissing noises. "Im twenty three and you dont want to know him." Said Lola. "It would be nice to see him. Where is he?" Said Ann. "Dont know. I cant find him but he finds me when he wants to." Said Lola eating her food. "How about i show you around after school?" Said Kim. "Its okay. I can explore on my own. I know the kids got school and activities while you have work." Said Lola. "We can work it. Is that all your stuff or in storage?" Said Ann. "Stolen including my car and moms military stuff." Said Lola. "The backpack and suitcase is the only thing i manage to bring with me." Said Lola. "We can bring them back." Said James. "Thanks Uncle James. Im gonna take the couch. Havent sleep the entire flight. One kid with an endless tantrum." Said Lola put her plate in the kitchen. She saw Ann come over with a pillow and blanket and left with James after the kids went to their rooms.
Lola setup her bed before laying on her stomach to pull her laptop checking her emails. She began replying to the people working on the renovations to the loft apartment. Then began searching for jobs since she used all of her savings for the flight, moving her stuff from New York to Middleton, and renovations. Lola put her laptop to charge on the small table and looked through her phone from her backpack seeing a few missed calls from an unknown number. She clicked on it seeing the numbers and typed it down to see who it was but came up nothing then decided to give up for now feeling the jet lag kicking in. Settling in she closed her eyes and turned to her side in her sleep. Tim and Jim sneak downstairs going to her laptop reaching to grab it but a pair of hands grabbed their ankles. "What are you doing with my Laptop?" Said Lola lifting them upside-down facing her. "How did you know it was us?" Said Jim. "You were dead asleep." Said Tim. "I've been in prison and picked up a few things. What were you both planning on doing on my laptop?" Said Lola. "We use parts to make our inventions." Said Jim. "Or snoop around. It's our thing." Said Tim. "Good to know but there's one thing you should know. Don't ever get on my bad side. It's pretty ugly. Now go back to bed or I'll put you both down like dogs." Said Lola putting them down on the floor. "Got it. Night Lola." Said the boys running upstairs. Lola waited for the sound of the door to close but didn't hear anything so she got up to check. She reached the top of the stairs looking through the dark seeing one door open. Lola walked over to look in seeing the boys in their beds before shutting the door quietly. She yawned stretching her arms up and went to the living room to sleep back on the couch.
