They had been transported to an old abandoned hospital in a small town a few miles from where their old hideout was in Kamino Ward. Out of the two of them, Yuka expected Kurogiri to wake up last considering how Edgeshot had played around with his insides. But against all odds, it was Dabi who had yet to wake up from being knocked unconscious by Gran Torino. While Kurogiri returned to Shigaraki's side once he awakened, Yuka stayed by Dabi's side to ensure that he would eventually wake up. She was starting to worry that he might not wake up and that maybe his concussion had been too severe.

She stood up from her chair and walked over to where Dabi had been laid out. She sat on the edge of the bed and checked his neck for a pulse. She let out a small sigh of relief as she felt the pulsating rhythm against her fingers. At least he was still alive. She looked at the purple hued skin that covered his neck and many other parts of his body. Now that she was touching him, she could feel the roughness of his scarred flesh. She remembered how utterly disgusted she felt when they first met, but now, she could only wonder what had caused such extensive damage to his skin. She mindlessly ran her fingers down his neck as she pondered, but her train of thought was abruptly put to an end when a rough hand suddenly grabbed her by the wrist.

"What are you doing?"

Yuka stared in absolute shock as Dabi had suddenly opened his eyes and was now staring at her in confusion. She lowered her gaze towards the hand that was still hovering over his neck, now firmly caught between his clutching fingers. Realizing what she had been doing all this time, she suddenly leapt from the side of the bed, yanking her hand out from Dabi's grasp as she felt her face suddenly turn bright red.

"I...!" she blurted out. "... was just checking your pulse! You were out for quite a long time and I was beginning to wonder if you were-"

"Dead?" he said as he let out a low chuckle. "It's gonna take a lot more than that to kill me, sweetheart."

He sat up on the bed, wincing as his head started to pound inside his skull. He pressed his hand against his forehead as he vainly attempted to make the pain go away. A few seconds later, Yuka presented him with a glass of water and a few ibuprofen tablets to help with the swelling and the pain.

"Thanks..." he said to her, taking the water and the ibuprofen gladly.

Yuka nodded in silence, taking a seat on the edge of the bed next to him, where Kurogiri had been resting previously. Once Dabi had taken the painkillers and a few gulps of water, he turned towards her and asked:

"So... What happened?"

Yuka took a deep breath. "Shigaraki's master got us out of our bind back at the hideout. Turns out he was All For One this entire time..."

Dabi looked at her with raised eyebrows. "For real? Shit... Did he show up?"

She nodded affirmatively. "He teleported us to his location, where he fought against All Might and a few other heroes. Meanwhile, we were trying to subdue Bakugou, who had also been teleported with us, but the brat got away. A few of his university buddies came to rescue him, and with you and Kurogiri out, we had no way of catching up to them."

"Fuck..." Dabi exhaled. "I can't believe that fucking brat got away... I guess it can't be helped though. So what happened to All For One?"

"He managed to teleport us out to one of the League's safehouses before All Might defeated him... He's probably sitting in Tartarus right about now."

Dabi exhaled deeply once again as he fell back against the mattress.

"So what you're saying is that we got completely fucked over by the heroes..." he said dejectedly.

"That's pretty much how it went, yeah..." Yuka sighed.

Dabi let out a few curse words as he pressed his hand against his forehead once again. She imagined that he was probably feeling guilty about what had happened. Had he been conscious during these events, things would have definitely panned out differently. She understood his frustration, they all were. They had gotten their asses handed to them and now, their future as the League of Villains was full of uncertainty now that All For One was out of the picture.

"I'll let you rest," Yuka finally said after a few long seconds of silence. "Don't forget to drink plenty of water while you recover from your concussion."

Dabi laughed slightly. "Yes, Nurse."

Her face cracked into an amused grin as she made her way towards the door, but as she was about to round the corner and leave the room, she heard Dabi's voice call out to her.

"Hey..."

She turned around to look at him.

"Thanks for looking after me or whatever..." he said as he looked away from her bashfully.

She paused for a moment, surprised that he would even take the time to thank her. Then she looked back at him, her dark eyes staring straight into his turquoise irises.

"Don't mention it," she simply replied. "I'm just glad you pulled through..."

And with that, she left the room to let him rest.

The next few days were spent laying low as every news outlet and police force were out there trying to locate them. Those who had been injured recovered from their injuries, but they still had been dealt a significant blow. The heroes had taken an important piece off their game board and Shigaraki was still completely unresponsive following the imprisonment of his father figure. The others were starting to get worried, not knowing what to do, and as Yuka sat in one of the patient rooms with Magne and Toga, she started to wonder if their leader was ever going to recover from this devastating blow they had been dealt.

"I'm really starting to worry about Tomura," Himiko said as she sat next to Yuka. "But I'm also really afraid he's going to lash out if we try to cheer him up."

"Tell me about it," Magne said in agreement. "The kid's susceptible in the best of times. I can't even imagine how he must be feeling right now..."

"I can," Yuka answered suddenly. "I know exactly how he feels right now."

The two women looked at her for a moment.

"What do you mean?" Magne asked.

Yuka shifted uncomfortably on the edge of her bed before letting out a long-winded sigh.

"I lost my father back when I was still running with the Shie Haissaikai," she answered Magne. "It was actually what made me leave the Yakuza in the first place..." She hesitated for a moment before continuing. "My father was the only family I had ever known in my entire life. He was the one who raised me, made me into the person I am today... but when he passed away, my entire world was shattered..."

She closed her eyes as memories of her father's death came flooding back in. She remembered how it was raining outside when she found him, his broken body drowning in a pool of his own blood on the concrete pavement alongside many of his fellow clan members. She remembered how she had wanted to come with him to meet with their rivals, but he had told her to stay at the compound. Had she been with him during the attack, things might have gone differently, or maybe she would have died alongside him. Either way, she regretted not being there during his final moments.

"Mia..." Toga said softly as she wrapped her arms around her.

She rested her head in the crook of her neck, pulling Yuka back to reality. Her eyes met with Himiko who was now hugging her. She wasn't sure how she was supposed to react and debated on whether or not she should pull away from her. Ultimately, she decided against it, as deep down, she did appreciate the gesture. As Toga was holding her in her arms, she rubbed her back with one hand, trying to reassure her that everything was okay.

"How did he die?" Magne asked tentatively.

Yuka lowered her gaze once more. "My father was supposed to meet with a rival clan, but they ambushed him and his men. It was a slaughter... I found him lying on the ground in a pool of his own blood and I just... I lost it. I couldn't stand the idea of being around any of the people that reminded me of him and so I just... left."

She turned towards the sword she carried around with her currently resting at the base of her bed and pointed to it with her chin.

"That sword used to be his," she said to them. "I traded in my sword for his and made it seem like I had died with him during the raid. Since then, I've been carrying his sword as a reminder that heroes only come to the rescue when it's convenient for them to do so..."

They all had their reasons for going against the society they lived in, but when it came to Yuka's reasons for joining with the League of Villains, she had always kept things quiet. Sharing her struggles and her past with Toga and Magne felt uncomfortable, as she wasn't used to sharing parts of her life with other people. But it also felt liberating to share her innermost thoughts, like she had lifted some sort of weight from her shoulders.

"That's why I joined the League of Villains," she said, her eyes full of resolve. "I want things to change. I want to make the world a place where people aren't just left behind because there's no glory to be had in saving them."

"Amen to that," Magne said with a crooked smile.

"Oh Mia, I knew we had so much in common!" Toga mused as she squeezed her even tighter. "I think I'm falling more in love with you by the minute..."

Turning her attention towards her, Yuka started to laugh slightly as she subtly tried to pry herself away from Himiko's grasp.

"You might be exaggerating just a tiny bit, Toga," she said in a nervous laugh.

"That's just her way of expressing affection," Magne laughed once again. "Speaking of which, mind telling us what's going on between you and our burnt chicken nugget?"

Yuka froze and her cheeks started to blush profusely at Magne's insinuation.

"E-Excuse-me?" she asked incredulously.

"Don't play dumb with us, Mia," Toga said playfully as she rested her chin on top of her shoulder to look up at her. "Did you honestly think we wouldn't notice how worried you were for him back in Kamino Ward?"

"Not to mention you holding on to his little marble for such a long time..." Magne snickered deviously.

"Hehe, sounds kind of dirty when you put it like that, Big Sis."

The two women started laughing as Yuka's face grew hotter and redder with each passing second.

"Th-That was an honest mistake!" she protested. "There was so much going on, I had completely forgotten that I still had him in my pocket!"

"Yeah but that still doesn't explain why Compress gave the marble to you in the first place," Magne replied.

"He... probably just figured he'd be in safe hands with me, that's all!"

"Uh-huh, suuuuure..." the large woman answered.

"Come ooon, Mia! You don't have to be shy!" Himiko chimed in. "You can tell us if you have a crush on someone..."

"I don't have a crush on anyone!" Yuka vehemently objected. "Stop making up scenarios out of nothing!"

She abruptly pushed Toga away as she got up from her bed. She then stormed out of the room, flustered and frustrated. She could still feel the heat in her cheeks from all the blushing she had been subjected to. She couldn't believe how childish they were being, pestering her with such juvenile assumptions. There was nothing going on between her and Dabi, so why was she so bothered by their comments? She shook her head vigorously, trying desperately to think of something else in order to calm down. After walking for a few minutes, she passed in front of what seemed like the employees' lounge area where Tomura was sitting on his own, staring blankly at the wall. This gave her pause, as she hesitated for a moment if she should just go in and talk to him. But then, another idea came to mind and she continued her way towards the main hall of the hospital.

After passing the main reception area, she exited the building and returned half an hour later with a plastic bag in her hand. She then made her way back up the stairs towards the lounge area where, sure enough, Shigaraki was still sitting in silence. She entered the room quietly, making her way towards him as she set the bag down on the table in front of him. He didn't seem to notice her at first, as if he had gone completely catatonic since the events at Kamino Ward. This to her seemed like a good sign. If he had wanted her gone, he surely would have reacted to her entering the room. With that out of the way, she proceeded to unpack the bag she had brought back from the store and placed an unopened bottle of whiskey on the table. She then momentarily left to grab two seemingly clean glasses that had been left in a cupboard and brought them over to their table as she sat down next to him. All the while, she could feel Shigaraki's tired eyes watching her from a distance.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" he finally said to her after she had returned with the two glasses.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" she asked rhetorically. "I'm getting glasses for our drinks."

Shigaraki scowled at her. "Get out..."

Yuka paused to look at him. They stared at each other for a long while, with Yuka finally breaking eye contact when she started pouring whiskey for the two of them, completely unphased by Tomura's persistent glaring.

"Look, I'm not here to pry or ask you about how you're feeling. I'm sure you've gotten enough of that coming from Kurogiri and the others..." She slid a half-full glass of whiskey towards him in a swift motion. "But I figured you might want a distraction to keep your mind off things and that maybe... you might want someone to help you with that."

She lifted her own glass to her lips, chugging a huge sip of amber colored alcohol before setting the glass down on the table. She then turned her attention towards Shigaraki, who was still glaring at her from where he sat. There was a long pause where he merely sat there and stared at her, as if he could make her disappear simply by looking at her. But if he really wanted her gone, he would have said so and, moreover, he would have done something about it by now. The fact that he was not saying a word to her indicated that he was at least hesitant about the whole thing. Tensions were mounting as they both stared at each other in complete and utter silence. Finally, it was Tomura's turn to break eye contact as he turned away and reached for the glass she had poured him. In one swift motion, he downed the whole glass in one go, before sliding the glass back to her once it was empty.

"... Well? Don't just stand there! Pour me another!"

Yuka relaxed as she grabbed the bottle again to pour more whiskey for him. She then emptied her own glass in order to keep up with him while he drank.

There was another long silence after she had poured another glass for him. This time, instead of downing the glass all in one go, he decided to only take a small sip, before swirling his drink in his hand. Yuka breathed in slightly, staring into her own drink before speaking.

"Look, this might not count for much," she said after a few minutes. "But I can relate to how you're feeling right now..."

"Tch... How could you possibly know how I'm feeling?" Shigaraki spat as he went to take another huge sip of whiskey.

Yuka imitated him and gulped down a significant amount of whiskey as well. "I lost my own father a few years back..."

"... He's not my father."

She let out a slight chuckle. "Then our situations are more similar than I thought."

She clinked her glass against his before taking another sip of whiskey. Shigaraki stared at her through his bleached hair before matching her sip.

"When I was a small child, I was taken in by someone," she started to explain. "That someone then became my father. He's the one that made me into the person I am today, a lot like how All For One probably made you into the person you are today."

She turned her head towards him, realizing that both of their glasses were now empty again. She proceeded to fill them up once more while Shigaraki continued to stare at her from across the table. Once she had filled their glasses up again, she continued her story.

"Look, all I'm saying is that I've been there." She lowered her gaze as she stared down into her drink. "I know what it's like to lose someone who's done so much for you... and before you say anything, just know that I'm not expecting anything from you, Shigaraki. You're not obligated to say anything to me... If at any point you want to be left alone, I'll walk out that door, no questions asked."

She looked at him for a moment, trying to see what was going on inside his head. She had fully expected him to lash out at her and send her away, yet he stood silent, quietly staring at her like he didn't know what to do with her. She could see that he wasn't in the mood to talk about what had happened, but she could also see that he also didn't want to be left alone, so she motioned for him to drink while she took her own sip of whiskey.

They sat next to each other in complete silence, quietly drinking their worries away. Yuka could feel the alcohol slowly building in her system, but was still feeling only slightly tipsy. Tomura seemed to be holding up as well, even though he had been drinking as much as she was. After a few long minutes of silence between the two, he finally said something to her.

"... How was he?"

Yuka stared at him with a puzzled look on her face.

"You're father... What was he like?" Tomura specified.

She was surprised to see that he was in a mood to talk about personal matters. She had fully accepted that things would stay awkward between them and that they would just drink in silence until one of them passed out. She hadn't thought that he would suddenly start talking to her, but was relieved nonetheless that he was finally opening up, even if it was only just a little bit.

"My father was a strict man," she started saying. "He pushed me all throughout my life, harder than any of the other kids from my cohort. My father was tasked with training the newer generation of Shie Haissaikai members, more specifically the ones with the strongest quirks. As you may know, not a lot of women are accepted within the ranks of the Yakuza clans, so I was sort of an anomaly..."

She paused, looking down at the dark brown liquid that swirled around in her glass. She didn't particularly like talking about her past, but her previous conversation with Magne and Toga coupled with the effects of the alcohol made her a lot more willing to share.

"But things haven't been looking up for the Yakuza in recent years, so they made an exception when it came time to recruit me. I had a strong quirk and my parents owed them money, so they sold me to their group and I was taken in by my adoptive father..."

Tomura turned his attention towards her as she explained how she had come to join the Yakuza.

"Is that why that old codger called you by a different name?" he asked.

Yuka was a bit taken aback by what he had said. Suddenly, it made sense why Gran Torino and the police would have found her by a different name. The name they had found was probably her birth name, the one her biological parents had given her when she was born. If they ran a DNA test on her, it would probably be that name that would come up in their systems.

"I suppose it is..." she answered simply.

"You mean... You didn't know about your birth name?" Shigaraki said in astonishment.

She shook her head. "The name I gave to you was the only one I've ever known. You guys found out about my birth name the same time I did..."

Shigaraki lowered his gaze pensively as he lifted his glass up to his crusty lips. He seemed deep in thought for a moment, then seemed hesitant to share something with her. After taking a few more sips of whiskey with her, he finally found the courage to say something.

"I had a sister named Hana..." he finally spoke.

Yuka turned her head towards him. "What was she like?"

He paused for a moment before answering her. "She had dark hair like you, actually," he said as he lazily pointed to her long, black hair. "We used to hold hands together all the time..."

She could clearly see that the subject was making him more and more anxious as he scratched his neck more and more furiously. She decided to drop the subject and filled his glass back up with more whiskey.

"Honestly, I'd prefer it if you still called me Yuka," she said to him. "It's the name I've grown up using, and... I don't know, it would feel wrong somehow to start using my birth name, especially now that the police has it."

His hand froze as she spoke to him again, moving his attention away from his neck and the itching that had suddenly started when he began talking about his sister. He seemed to think for a moment, hesitating, before finally taking his glass once again and lifting it up to his face.

"You can start calling me Tomura from now on," he declared, almost like an order to her.

Yuka stared back at him and nodded, clinking her glass against his once more as she too brought it to her lips.

"I'll probably still call you Shigaraki when we're on the job," she said to him as she laughed slightly. "But I'll keep that in mind..."

She took another big sip of whiskey, inciting Tomura to do the same. As the evening went on, the two of them became increasingly more intoxicated. By the end of the night, they had completely emptied the bottle that Yuka had purchased for them and were barely able to walk straight as Yuka helped Shigaraki walk towards the boys room. On their way there, she tripped on something lying on the floor and was shoved against the wall by Shigaraki, who had lost his balance and had almost fallen on top of her. As he looked up to make sure that he hadn't accidentally crushed her when he lost his balance, he realized how close he was to her now and an idea popped into his head. His arms were stretched to each side of her head, effectively boxing her in as he stared down at her. Yuka stared back at him, completely frozen and unable to move. There was something in the way he smirked at her that made her blood run ice cold. She was scared to push him away, as he could easily vaporize her if she made him upset. Plus, she doubted that she would be able to effectively fight him off in her drunken state. She hoped to God that someone would walk by and put a stop to this, before things escalated to an even greater level.

"Tomura, I think we should-" she started to say, before being interrupted by Shigaraki putting his hand over her mouth.

"Shhhhh... You wouldn't want to wake the others up now would you?" he said in a sinister tone.

His hand on her face was all it took for her to instantly sober up. Her eyes lit up in fear as her whole body started to shake. Any wrong move and Shigaraki could instantly turn her to ash. Her eyes darted around the dark corridor, desperately hoping that some of the others were still awake, but with Tomura standing so close to her, she could barely see anything beyond his smirking face. As he grew even closer to her, she felt her stomach churn at the thought of him putting his crusty lips on her. She was just about to start screaming when suddenly, she felt him being yanked off of her as a familiar figure stepped in to intervene.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?"

A huge wave of relief washed over her as she realized Dabi was standing next to Shigaraki with his hand firmly gripping the collar of his hoodie. Shigaraki had almost fallen over when Dabi had yanked him away from her but he somehow managed to keep his balance even though he was visibly very drunk.

"Heyyyy what gives? I was just trying to..." Tomura started to say, before pushing Dabi away as he lurched forward and started puking all over the floor.

Dabi scrunched his nose in disgust at the pathetic display, then turned towards Yuka, who was still petrified against the nearby wall.

"Are you alright?" he asked in a concerned tone. "This fuckface didn't hurt you, did he?"

She only managed to shake her head in response to his last question, then turned to watch Tomura emptying his stomach onto the floor. He seemed too busy puking his brains out to be mad at her or even Dabi and soon enough, the comotion attracted the attention of his loyal servant, who emerged suddenly from the darkness to retrieve his young master.

"I'll take care of him," Kurogiri said as he scooped up Shigaraki with one arm.

Before any of them could react, the two of them disappeared into one of Kurogiri's warp gates. Once they were both gone, Yuka suddenly realized she had been holding her breath this whole time and exhaled loudly as she relaxed against the wall.

"Thank you for that Dabi," she said in a relieved tone. "Now I can get back to my room and..."

She took a step forward towards where the girls' room was and almost tripped on the same thing she had tripped on when Shigaraki had fallen on her. Dabi quickly caught her before she came plummeting to the ground and winced when he smelled alcohol on her.

"Have you been drinking?" he asked in a perplexed tone.

Yuka rolled her eyes. "Yes, I drank with Shigaraki. What's it to you?"

"Are you fucking insane?! Why on earth would you drink with that psychotic brat?!"

She groaned in annoyance. "Dabi please... I just want to get to my room."

He rolled his eyes at her and threw her arm around his shoulders to help her walk towards where the girls were sleeping.

"Honestly really thought you were smarter than this, sweetheart..." he grumbled.

Yuka sighed as she stumbled along towards the girls' room. Now that she thought about it, it was incredibly risky on her part to get drunk with a guy that was known for having massive mood swings and a dangerous quirk that could instantly kill her. She didn't think they would get this drunk, much less that Shigaraki would try and kiss her on their way to his room. As much as it pained her to admit it, Dabi was right and she felt guilty for letting her guard down so easily.

After walking down the hallway for a few minutes, they finally arrived at the women's ward. Dabi knocked on the door and, a few more seconds later, Toga and Magne opened the door. They seemed a bit sleepy when they answered, probably because they had been woken up when Dabi came knocking at their door, but as soon as they saw Yuka's drunken state, they immediately rushed over to take her from him, pulling her into the room frantically.

"What the hell happened?!" Magne asked in a panic.

"Little miss got a little drunk with our fearless leader..." He sneered at the last few words he said.

"Drunk? With Tomura?" Toga replied incredulously.

"Just make sure that she gets some rest," Dabi said to them. "And make sure that she doesn't get dehydrated. I would hate to hear her complain that she has a hangover in the morning..."

"Um, okay," Magne acquiesced. "Thanks for bringing her back, Dabi."

"Don't mention it... and I mean it. Don't mention this to anyone, you got it?"

Magne gave him an affirmative nod before taking Yuka back into the room. As the door closed behind them, Yuka looked back to see Dabi leaving for the boys' room. She thought about saying something to him before he left, but couldn't find anything to say. Besides, he had already left for his own room while Toga and Magne set her down on the bed so she could rest. She managed to explain to them what had happened briefly, omitting the part where Shigaraki had tried to kiss her in his drunken state, before succumbing to her sleep as the alcohol in her system finally knocked her out completely.
