Yuka woke up the next day to an unfamiliar room. She had forgotten where she was for a moment as the last remnants of sleep washed away from her, but as she looked around, memories from last night's events came flooding back into her mind. She looked over at the empty spot next to her in the bed, realizing that Dabi had somehow left her earlier in the morning. She let out a long sigh, combing her fingers through her messy hair as she recalled last night's events. She almost couldn't believe what they had done and yet, she couldn't help but think about how good he had made her feel and how alive she had felt in his company. She had invited him to the motel with the express desire to forget, and that's precisely what she accomplished. But now that she was alone again, she could feel the memories start to pour in again and she quickly shook her head to try and chase them away. Now wasn't the time to reminisce about the past. She needed to find the others before they started to wonder where she had gone.
The clock on the nightstand indicated that it was half past noon. She had gotten up earlier than expected considering she had almost slept during the entire day the day before. Dabi had tired her out so much the night before that she managed to fall asleep despite her fucked up sleep schedule. As she slowly made her way towards the bathroom to use the toilet, she crossed her reflection in the mirror and was greeted with an alarming sight. Her neck and body were covered in marks left by Dabi. The worst were the giant hand prints that covered her neck where Dabi had choked her the night before. Color started flooding her face, her cheeks growing hotter and hotter with each new mark or bruise that she found on her body. She couldn't believe how many there were and frustration started to rise within her as she thought about how Dabi had most certainly intentionally left evidence on her so that the others might see what she had been up to. She started to panic, thinking about the clothes she had been wearing when she came to the motel and how she had nothing to cover up her neck, where the bruises were particularly visible. She cursed at the mirror, cursing Dabi for what he had done to her and for the fact that he had also left her alone to discover this by herself.
All was not lost though. She still had her wallet with her and could run to the store to buy a scarf to cover up the marks. After getting dressed and making sure the room was in okay condition before leaving, she entered the main lobby of the building and was greeted by one of Takeo's employees. She gave him the keys to the room, making sure to avoid eye contact as she did before rushing back out the door. If things went well, he would be the only one to see her in this state, with the exception of Dabi later once she would get her hands on him.
She still tried her best to cover up her neck while she was walking to the store. People were glancing over at her with concern in their eyes as she made her way through the streets. It looked like she had been brutally attacked and she hoped to God no one would stop her to ask what had happened or worse, call the police on her. The more this situation unfolded, the more frustrated she became, but she somehow kept her composure and finally reached the corner store after a few minutes of walking.
Since it was summer, there weren't a lot of scarves on display, but she still managed to find one suitable for her current needs. It wasn't anything special, just a plaid scarf that clashed a bit with what she was wearing. As soon as she paid for the scarf, she quickly wrapped it around her neck. Once the fabric was tightly secured around her neck, she felt relieved. The others might think it was strange for her to be wearing a scarf in the middle of summer, but it was better than having them see what Dabi had done to her. As the images of last night's events flooded back into her memory, she felt her face grow flush and she quickly started to make her way back towards the old theater. She hoped Shigaraki would have something for them to do so that she could avoid seeing the others as much as possible while her bruises healed.
As she made her way towards the old abandoned theater, she thought about just not showing up at all, but remembered that they were on the run and that the last thing she needed was for the police to find her in this state. It was bad enough that a lot of people had been staring at her on the way to the store and she hoped that no one had recognized her from the news. Once the old building was within view, she took a deep breath as she braced herself for the inevitable stares and questions that were going to be thrown her way. Once she had entered the building, she started to look for the main showing room where, to her dismay, everyone had been waiting for her to arrive.
"There you are!" Shigaraki exclaimed as he saw her appear underneath the door frame. "Where the hell have you been?"
She tried to play it cool and make it seem like she wasn't trying to hide something under her clothes, but as soon as Dabi turned to look at her, his face grew into the biggest shiteating grin she had ever had the displeasure of seeing. Not wanting to draw suspicion to herself, she pretended to ignore his reaction and merely walked over to where everyone was standing.
"I went to get something at the store..." she said. It wasn't technically a lie, but it wasn't technically the truth either.
"Dabi told us you went to sleep at a motel last night..." Shigaraki replied, his eyes narrowing behind his mask.
Yuka could feel her blood boiling as she turned to see Dabi devilishly smirking behind their leader.
"Did he now?" she said, her voice positively gushing with venom as she stared at him. "In that case, yes... I did sleep at the nearby motel. The owner knows me so I wasn't too worried about getting caught there."
"What's with the scarf?" Himiko suddenly shot from where she was sitting at the edge of the stage. She stared weirdly at the mismatched scarf wrapped around her neck.
"It's... for my sore throat," Yuka lied. "That's why I went to the store."
She hoped nobody had noticed how she tensed up at Toga's question. Himiko stared at her for a moment before giving her a slight shrug as she went back to her normal, smiley self.
"Now's not the time to be running around carelessly," Shigaraki scolded. "The last thing I want is for you to give away our position and have us all killed."
"Trust me, that wasn't my plan..." Yuka replied in a low voice.
"Yeahh... See to it that it stays that way."
She gave him a slight nod before shifting her attention over to Dabi. He continued to stare at her from the back of the group, his smug grin still plastered across his face. She stared daggers into his eyes before turning towards the other members. She would have plenty of time to chew him out later when no one was around.
"Right, with that out of the way..." Shigaraki said as he joined his hands behind his back. "Giran is coming over to deliver a few items for us."
Finally, some good news. Yuka was relieved to hear that they had managed to get in touch with Giran and that he was coming to deliver some much needed supplies. As they were talking about him, almost as if on cue, Giran suddenly emerged from behind her with a few of his goons. They were carrying a couple of boxes of varying sizes into the room while Giran approached Shigaraki with a cigarette stuck between his lips.
"Shigaraki!" he greeted him cheerfully. He then gave Yuka a wink as he passed her.
"Giran..." Tomura answered him. "Did you bring what I asked?"
Giran pointed to the cases his henchmen were bringing in. "All in here."
"We'll discuss payment at a later date. As you can see, we're kind of in hot water at the moment..."
"I understand. Just let me know if you need anything else."
He then turned towards Yuka, inhaling smoke from his cigarette and blowing it away from her as he approached.
"Nice scarf you got there," he said in a slightly mocking tone.
Yuka rolled her eyes at him. "Glad you could come out to meet us in person, Giran. I know it mustn't have been easy, what with the police hunting us down."
"It comes with the territory, kid. I knew what I was in for when I signed up to help Shigaraki."
She gave him a slight nod as she turned to look at the boxes he had brought in.
"That reminds me," he said as he followed her gaze towards the stack of cases. "I brought what you asked for."
She turned towards him, astonished. With everything that had been happening recently, she had almost given up on the idea of receiving the items she had asked for. She remained silent as Giran grabbed one of the boxes and placed it on top of the others. He then proceeded to open it, revealing an intricately designed mask featuring a beautiful red Oni design. After giving it a once over, he carefully took it out of its box and handed it over to Yuka.
"You'll find it to be a lot better than the one you previously owned," he said to her, his cigarette hanging loosely between his smirking lips.
She grabbed the mask from his hand and proceeded to examine it carefully, admiring the details and the craftsmanship. She was completely awestruck by how beautiful and well-made it was.
"I... This..." She was struggling to find the right words to express what she was feeling. "This is incredible, Giran."
"Why don't you try it on?" he suggested, before sucking on the end of his cigarette.
She nodded and proceeded to equip the mask on her face. Like her old ones, it covered only the bottom half of her face, leaving the rest uncovered. As soon as the mask came in contact with her face, it started adjusting itself automatically, before settling down with a satisfying click. Once it was comfortably resting in her face, she took a deep breath, kicking the respiratory system into gear with a low hiss. She then let out a relieved sigh as she closed her eyes for a few moments. She was so used to having a mask on all of the time that she had felt quite exposed without one. She felt incredibly relieved to be wearing one again after all this time.
"It has a chamber on the side for inserting capsules just like your old one," Giran explained. "It'll filter most if not all gasses out and you can redirect the air flow with the click of a button." He pointed to one of the buttons at the back of the mask. "I had them design something nice for the front. Figured you'd appreciate it. Also..."
He pulled another case from the pile and opened it, revealing rows of small capsules.
"These should tide you over until you can get back on your feet," he continued, turning towards her with a smile.
"Giran you... You didn't have to do all of this," Yuka said to him, feeling slightly embarrassed by his kind gesture.
"Don't worry about it, kid," he reassured her with a low chuckle. "If it makes you feel any better, think of it as me repaying a favor to an old friend."
She lowered her eyes slightly at his last words. They were the same ones All For One had given her when he had healed her lungs. Even though he was dead, her father was still somehow looking out for her. She wondered just how many "friends" her father had and if she would be meeting more of them as time went on. Regardless, she hoped she wouldn't have to cross paths with any of his enemies, although she wouldn't mind cutting them down if she were forced to...
She kept looking back at Giran, unsure of how to properly thank him. He had done her a huge service and had gone above and beyond for her. It didn't sit right with her that she wouldn't show him some form of gratitude for what he had done. After fidgeting with her mask for a bit, she then quickly turned to face him, wrapping her arms around him tightly as she squeezed him against her. Giran was completely caught off guard by her sudden show of affection, but smiled nonetheless. He then patted her on the head slightly, before she pulled away from him, cheeks slightly blushing as she cleared her throat.
"Ahem... Thank you, Giran," she said, trying to play the whole thing off.
"My pleasure, kid," he replied, taking his cigarette into his lips before blowing the smoke away from her.
She smiled behind her mask as she retrieved the stuff Giran had brought for her. Along with her new mask and the medicated capsules, he had brought all of them some fresh clothes to wear. Having been suddenly expelled from their old hideout meant that most of them had lost a lot of their personal belongings, so it was nice to have some new clothes to wear instead of the ones they had been wearing for the past week. The only thing that was missing now was a hot shower, but that would have to wait. She wasn't going to risk attracting Shigaraki's wrath by going back to the motel tonight, even though she would much rather sleep in the shitty motel beds than in their current hideout where there probably weren't even any beds. She sighed. She had been in tight situations before, but nothing this dire. Hopefully, it would be temporary and they would soon find more appropriate lodgings for everyone.
As Shigaraki was wrapping up his affairs with Giran, Yuka took her new stuff up to where the girls had set up camp inside the old theater. They had decided to set up shop in one of the old dressing rooms, which really didn't surprise Yuka in the slightest. To her surprise, she saw that they had sleeping bags arranged for them in the room, with presumably her own still lying untouched in the corner of the room. She suddenly felt bad for not being there the night before. Magne and Toga had gone through the trouble of setting her up with her own sleeping bag and she hadn't even told them that she was going to be spending the night away from the theater. They must have been so worried when they woke up the next day only to find out she had disappeared from the hideout. She figured she would try and make it up to them this evening by staying with them, even though she wasn't looking forward to having to sleep with her scarf on.
"Didn't feel like showing your battle scars to everyone?"
Yuka jumped at the sound of Dabi suddenly emerging from the hallway. She pressed her hand to her chest, still shaking from his sudden appearance, then shot him a stormy look before pulling him into the room so that no one from the outside could hear them.
"Are you fucking crazy?!" she spoke in a harsh tone. "Did you honestly think I would just waltz in with your fucking hand prints all over me?! And what were you thinking?! Now I'll have to wear this damn scarf on for the next few days!"
He let out an amused laugh. "Admittedly, when I saw you this morning, I wondered what you would do once you saw yourself in the mirror... and as I recall..." He stepped towards her, shoving her against the wall behind her as he pressed his hand against it. "... you were the one who asked for it in the first place."
Her breathing had become surprisingly shallow now that she was looking up at him towering over her. She looked at him in anger, frustrated because deep down, she knew that he was right. She had told him to do his worst the night before and boy, had he delivered. As she recalled last night's events in her mind, she turned away from him, too embarrassed now to look him in the eye. This made his crooked smile grow as he bent down to grab her by the lower jaw, forcing her to look up at him.
"If it's any consolation, sweetheart..." he said softly as his face grew closer to hers. "I think you look incredibly sexy with all those marks covering that cute little body of yours..."
She felt herself blush at his comment and was incredibly grateful that her mask was hiding her expression. She knew he was trying to get a reaction out of her and the fact that he was succeeding at it made her blood boil even more. Not wanting to give him the satisfaction of looking away, she stared directly into his eyes, her piercing eyes boring straight into him. He chuckled at her defiance and leaned forward until there was barely any distance separating them. She could feel another kind of heat rising in the pit of her stomach as he inched closer and closer to her. The only thing standing in his way was the mask she was wearing on the lower half of her face. She looked down at his smirking lips thinking about how they had felt against hers the night before. It felt so wrong to want him after all the humiliation he had put her through but she couldn't help but feel drawn to him despite it all. It annoyed her to no end that she desired him even now and from the look on his face, she could tell that he knew this... and it seriously pissed her off.
After staring at him for what seemed like an eternity, she finally found the courage to shove him away, freeing her face from his grasp as she pushed him away from her. She then stepped away from the wall and walked past him to where she had set her stuff down. The last thing she wanted was for Magne and Toga to walk in on them while they were standing so close to each other.
"Is there any particular reason why you're here Dabi or are you just here to annoy me?" she asked in a blunt tone.
Another low chuckle came rumbling out of his throat. "As much as it amuses me to tease you, sweetheart, I'm actually here to talk about what happened last night..."
She froze. What could he possibly have to say about last night? She slowly turned towards him, glancing over at the door to make sure nobody was there to eavesdrop on them.
"I'm listening..." she said in a flat voice.
"I want to make one thing clear here," he started to say, placing his hand in his pockets. "I don't do relationships. Not my thing, so if this is going to be a recurring thing, I want to make sure that there aren't any feelings involved, okay?"
She gave him a deadpan look before snorting at his comment. She then turned away from him and started rummaging through her new clothes while Dabi simply stared at her with a confused look on his face.
"You don't have to worry about that with me, Dabi," she finally answered without looking at him.
She looked up to see him still staring at her as if she had said something completely incoherent and she rolled her eyes before standing up to face him again.
"We're villains, Dabi," she said matter-of-factly. "Love isn't exactly in the cards for people like us, so I get it. It was just sex. No need to make a big deal out of it..."
She continued to move stuff around while Dabi mulled over what she had just said. He had expected a different reaction from her and was caught off guard by her response. After a few seconds, he finally came to his senses and shrugged lightly.
"Well... that was surprisingly easy," he said, laughing to himself.
Yuka let out a slight snicker. "This might come to you as a surprise, Dabi, but you're not the only man I've had sex with..."
"Oh I'm not surprised at all, sweetheart." He smirked. "It's pretty clear you've done this type of thing before..."
He chuckled darkly as Yuka's eyes stared daggers at him once again. She then threw something at him and he narrowly ducked out of the way. She then exhaled exasperatingly and went back to fidgeting with her stuff while Dabi made his way towards the door.
"Anyway, glad we could clear the air," he said as he left. "You should think about getting some ice on that neck of yours... For the 'sore throat' of course."
She shot him one last death glare as he was leaving the room. She could hear him snickering to himself as he made his way down the hall which only made her roll her eyes at him even more. She was thankful for the moment of quiet that came with him leaving the room.
"So... you two are having sex then?"
Well, that was short lived.
Yuka was startled by Toga's sudden appearance. She hadn't heard her come in and was astonished that she hadn't noticed her at all until now. It was like she had just suddenly materialized in the room. She quickly whipped around to face her, surprise showing on her face, among other things. She could feel her cheeks turning pink underneath her mask and once more, she was grateful that she had her mask to hide at least some of her reactions.
"What are you talking about, Himiko?" she asked her in a more neutral tone, trying to mask her embarrassment. "Where did you even hear that from?"
Toga started to snicker as she pulled away from the wall she had been leaning on when Yuka finally noticed her.
"Come ooon Mia... Don't play dumb with me," she drawled as she drew closer to her. "You've been acting weird ever since you got back this morning." Another snicker erupted from her throat as she stared at her with mischievous eyes. "Plus, I heard every word of your conversation with Dabi just now..."
Yuka sighed in defeat. Toga had the surprising ability to materialize herself without making as much as a whisper of a sound when she appeared. She was also much, much more perceptive than she would let on, showing herself to be quite the analytical mind when it came to reading other people. These abilities had nothing to do with her quirk. They were simply things she had mastered with time. Nonetheless, Yuka was still very surprised by how utterly silent she had been when she was eavesdropping on their conversation. Her senses had been acutely trained to detect even the slightest noise. It was necessary for her, since she had been almost constantly bullied by the boys in her cohort when she was young. Even in her sleep, she had to remain constantly aware of her surroundings in case any of them tried anything with her, which they inevitably did. The fact that Toga had managed to slip past her defenses spoke volumes on her efficiency.
Then again, Dabi had completely thrown her off balance as of late, so maybe it was just her getting reckless. She cursed at herself mentally for dropping her guard so carelessly and turned her attention towards Toga once again, but before she could get a single word out, Magne suddenly burst into the room.
"There you are!" she exclaimed in an annoyed tone. "You've gotta stop disappearing like that, Himiko!"
"Sorry Bis Sis," Toga giggled. "I didn't mean to worry you."
Magne then turned her gaze to Yuka, who was still standing dumbfounded in the middle of the dressing room.
"Wow Mia! You're looking extra fierce with that new mask of yours!" Magne complimented her with a smile.
Yuka stared at her for a short moment, before shaking her stupor away.
"Thanks..." she answered briefly. "And sorry for disappearing last night. I needed to... get away for a while."
"Where did you even go anyways?" Magne asked.
Yuka opened her mouth to answer her, but she was cut off again by Toga this time.
"She was at a motel having sex with Dabi," she answered bluntly without skipping a beat.
Magne's eyes widened as she pulled her shades down to stare at Yuka incredulously. The dark haired woman then let out an exasperated sigh, pinching her nose as color came flooding to her face.
"Are you serious?!" Magne yelled. "You two are sleeping together?!"
"Would you two keep your voices down?!" Yuka hissed, her eyes turning bright red for a split second as she shot daggers at the two women. "Who knows who else could be listening..."
She glared at Himiko snickering to herself. She then started to skip and twirl around the room as if she wasn't guilty of outright ousting her friend and eavesdropping on her conversations.
"What I do in my spare time is none of your fucking business," Yuka said in a cold voice, sending icy stares to the both of them.
"Damn Mia, no need to be so harsh," Magne complained. "I'm just surprised that you of all people would be interested in him is all..."
"I'm not interested in him, Magne," Yuka spat. "It was just sex. Think of it as us distracting each other if that makes you feel any better."
While she was talking with Magne, Yuka noticed how Toga had been spinning and twirling around her, circling her like a vulture, but when she turned to see where she had gone, she found that Toga had completely vanished from sight. She looked around to see if she was hiding in any of the corners, but as soon as she turned her attention away from Magne, she felt something tug at the fabric wrapped around her neck from behind.
"Was he the one who gave you your 'sore throat'?" Himiko snickered.
Before Yuka had time to react, Himiko pulled on her scarf harshly and unraveled it completely in one swift motion. She tried to grab the fabric from her hand but as soon as she turned to face Toga, she was gone. She then heard her mischievous laughter echoing from the other side of the room. She was now seated on top of the pile of boxes Yuka had brought in with her and was twirling the scarf around her finger. She then heard Magne gasp out loudly as her bruised neck was completely exposed to them.
"This is what you call 'just sex'?!" she shouted in a horrified tone. "What the fuck Mia?!"
The redness in her face was not due to her embarrassment anymore but from the growing irritation that was slowly bubbling to the surface. She shot a death glare at Himiko, who was still innocently twirling the scarf around her finger with the biggest shiteating grin plastered across her face. She wanted to strangle her, but figured she wouldn't be able to catch her with how slick she had been up until now. She then turned towards Magne, eyes growing redder and redder by the minute as steam started to slowly pour out of her mask.
"Why are you two making such a huge deal out of this?!" she yelled, her word punctuated by large puffs of smoke billowing from her mask. "I told you: my personal life is none of your fucking business! Now fuck off and leave me alone!"
The two women froze as smoke started to fill the room. Magne started to back away slowly while Toga disappeared from view once again. Yuka was panting at this point, tired out both by her anger and by her involuntary use of her quirk. Once she realized she had unwittingly filled the room with gas, she started to breathe in oxygen into the room so that she wouldn't suffocate her two roommates by accident. As she was taking in deep breaths to clear the room of smoke, she closed her eyes to calm herself down. Once she opened her eyes again, she saw Toga appear before her with her hand outstretched towards her holding a beautiful red scarf.
"No need to get so worked up, Mia," she chuckled. "We were just worried about you. Here, have my scarf. It'll go a lot better with your outfit."
Yuka stared at her for a moment, not really knowing what to say or how to react. It seemed like such a simple gesture, but deep down, she felt grateful for Toga's kindness, despite her being responsible for everything that had just happened. In a way, it was her way of apologizing to her and Yuka couldn't help but not stay mad at her. She gratefully accepted the scarf from her, sighing deeply at how needlessly heated she had become thanks to her roommates antics.
"Thank you Himiko," she said to her as she carefully wrapped the scarf around her neck. "And I'm... sorry for blowing up on you two."
"Nah, it's our fault for pushing you and teasing you about this," Magne admitted. "We shouldn't have pried."
Yuka sighed once more, nodding her head in agreement.
"Look just... Don't worry about me," she said to the both of them. "I can take care of myself and I'd really appreciate it if you two kept quiet about this whole ordeal. I really don't want the others to find out in case they get the wrong idea..."
"Don't worry hon'. Your secret is safe with us," Magne reassured her with a smile. "Right, Himiko?"
"Of course! I would neeever dream of betraying Mia's trust like that!" Toga replied with a giggle.
There was something in the way Toga replied that didn't reassure Yuka in the slightest, but she figured it was just who Himiko was: mischievous and sneaky. She let out another exasperated sigh, but relented nonetheless. She knew Toga didn't have bad intentions deep down and she knew that ultimately, she cared about her, so she decided to drop the subject. Once they were all settled with their new stuff, they spent the entire day together just talking and generally goofing off together. Well, Magne and Toga certainly did, while Yuka stared on with a mix of exasperation and slight amusement. Once the day was finally over, it came time for them to go to sleep and Yuka was having trouble falling asleep inside her sleeping bag. The floor was rock hard and almost everything around her was creaking and cracking at the slightest of movements. It didn't help that Magne was also a massive snorer and was keeping her awake. She tried meditating and concentrating her attention on her breathing, but it was futile.
When Yuka finally accepted the fact that she was probably going to stay awake for the whole night, she noticed her phone screen light up. After picking it up from the floor next to her sleeping bag, she lifted the screen to her face to see who had texted her this late at night. She furrowed her brow when she saw that Dabi had been the one to send her a text message. She had never received a text message from him before, even though they all had their numbers saved in each others' phones. She wondered what he could possibly want from her at this hour and swiped to view the message.
"How's the floor treating you, sweetheart?"
His message was accompanied by a selfie of him laying down shirtless on a bed with a crooked smile stretched across his lips. She recognized the sheets he was laying on as the ones from the motel room and immediately responded with a:
"You're back at the motel? I thought Shigaraki told us to stay at the theater."
To which Dabi responded with:
"What the brat doesn't know won't hurt him."
Yuka was slightly annoyed by his response. Not only was he going directly against what their leader had told them, but he was also flaunting it. Yuka kept staring back at the picture he had sent her. His crooked smile made her want to smack him straight in the mouth, but she also couldn't help but be reminded of their encounter the night before. She also couldn't help but feel a little jealous that he was going to get a better night's sleep than her sleeping on an actual mattress rather than the cold floor with a snoring bear next to him. She was just about to set her phone down in annoyance when another message popped up on her screen. She opened it to find that Dabi had sent her another picture and this time, she felt her face blush scarlet red as she realized what it was: another photo of him laying on the bed only this time, he had pulled the sheets down below his waist, putting his rock hard cock on full display as he stared up with his tongue out and a hazy look in his eyes. Yuka almost had a full blown heart attack when the image flashed on her screen. Heat flooded her face but also in between her legs. She tried pulling her gaze away from the screen but found herself unable to as flashes of last night's events kept playing on repeat in her head. She was so hot and bothered by what she saw that she almost didn't see the message he had sent with the image.
"There's room for one more..." With a smirking emoji along with the room number he was currently staying in.
Yuka finally slammed her phone screen down on her chest, staring up at the ceiling as she was filled with a mix of shame, anger and excitement. She couldn't believe how shameless he had been, but also couldn't believe how turned on she had been upon receiving that lewd photo of his. Even though she wasn't looking at it anymore, it had been burned into her retinas and she could still picture every single detail even with her eyes closed. It was driving her mad. The more she tried to push him out of her mind, the more she ended up thinking about him and the more frustrated she became with herself. Now she really needed to fall asleep, if only to deny him the satisfaction of having her cave in to his offer.
Meanwhile, Dabi was waiting for a response from her on the other side of the screen. The fact that she was taking so long to reply only made the situation that much more amusing to him. He knew that his photo had probably stirred something in her and that she was probably battling with herself right now, which only made him smile even more. He loved knowing that deep down, she couldn't help but react to him, even though she so desperately tried to look all tough in front of him and the others. He loved seeing the cracks show and seeing the real her reveal itself to him. But after waiting for half an hour for her to respond, he started to think that maybe he had gone too far with her and that she had decided to ignore him in the end. Even though this annoyed him a little bit, he still took solace in the fact that he had made her react despite her not responding to him. After all, her ignoring him was a response, if a bit of a disappointing one at that.
But as he was making himself comfortable in the bed, he heard a quiet knock at the door. A wide grin stretched across his lips as he got up from the bed, grabbing one of the sheets to wrap around his waist before walking up to the door. As he opened the door, he leaned on the door frame and stared down at the figure that stood before the door, knowing exactly who had finally decided to show up in the end.
"Not a fucking word..." she said to him, pushing past him to quickly enter the room.
Dabi let out a deep, gravelly chuckle as he slowly closed the door behind her, satisfied by the fact that, in the end, she couldn't keep away from him despite it all...
