Chapter Six: Tests of Friendship
Bunga, Beshte, and Ono both came up with a series of tests to help Kion and Fuli get along.
Bunga: "Alright, Kion, Fuli, since the two of you are having a hard time making up, Ono, Beshte, and I came up with a series of tests." He announced.
Ono: "They require strength, teamwork, and cooperation." He added.
Beshte: "And you have to work together to complete them. So, will you give it a try?" He asked.
Kion and Fuli: *sighs heavily* They both sigh in unison.
Kion: "If it'll get us having our tails untied." He said reluctantly.
Fuli: "We'll do it." She agreed, though not very enthusiastically.
The first test was run by Bunga: It required their paws to be tied together as well, and they had to cross the finish line together without arguing or falling.
Bunga: "Alright guys, for the first test, you will have to have your paws tied together as well." He explained.
Fuli: "What?! We have to have our paws tied together too?!" She exclaimed.
Kion: "Bunga, our tails are tied already. Isn't that enough?" He protested.
Bunga: "Nope, but if you continue to question our methods in these tests, I guess you will keep your tails tied until tomorrow." He said firmly.
Fuli: "Ugh, fine! Let's just get this over with." She grumbled.
Kion: "Yeah right, like this'll ever be over." He muttered.
Bunga grabbed a vine from a nearby tree and wrapped it around one of each of their front paws. Then he ran back to the tree, where Ono and Beshte were waiting.
Bunga: "Oh, and one more thing, you guys! You have to reach this tree without arguing or falling! On your mark! Get set! Go!" He called out.
As Kion and Fuli started to walk, they struggled to work together. Kion wanted to take it slow and steady, while Fuli wanted to speed things up.
Kion: "Ow, Fuli, slow down!" He exclaimed as Fuli dragged him along, pulling his tail.
Fuli: "That takes too long, I'd rather take it fast!" She shot back.
Kion: "No, we're supposed to take it slow!" He insisted, pulling Fuli's tail back.
Fuli: "Ow! No, we're supposed to go fast!" She argued, pulling Kion's tail in return.
They continued to argue and pull on each other the whole way. As they neared the tree, they both tripped and fell.
Kion: "Woah!" He shouted.
Fuli: "Woah!" She echoed.
Kion and Fuli: "Ohhhh!" They both groaned as they hit the ground.
Bunga: "Well, that went well, I guess, hehe." He said with a nervous laugh.
Ono: "I guess it's time for my test now," He said, stepping forward.
