Chapter 1

Takes place after the events of the show

Note: I will not do alien transformations because I don't have time, and I am bad at descriptions, so none of those

The sun is shining in Gravesfield, Connecticut, as we focus on one boy walking home from school. Ethan is a 14 year old boy, but there is one problem, Ethan is an orphan, so he lives at an adoption center. As he opened the door to the building, he was greeted by one of the social workers. He simply just waved at her. Ethan had a sad look on his face, why he had failed another adoption application.

Ethan arrived at the center when he was just a month old, and even then, he was unwanted. The only person who showed him kindness was a social worker named Pamela. She was a 34 year old, red-haired woman who was always trying to make sure he was okay. It wasn't much, but Ethan saw her as a mother figure, that was until the "incident." One day, when Ethan was 5, she was in a terrible car accident that killed her, Ethan was devastated about her death and he essentially shut everyone out.

Before Pamela died, she left two things for Ethan that he was given on his 10th birthday, a letter and a weird looking watch.

Ethan didn't open the letter cause he thought it bring him more pain to think about her, however when he put on the watch noticed that the watch had no hands or numbers on it, it also had a weird green hourglass shape on it.

that was 4 years ago, and Ethan has worn that watch ever since, but today he was thinking about something else. He was going to run away. That night Ethan had waited for everyone to go to sleep, then he quietly snuck out through an open window. Once outside he ran towards the woods, he ran and ran until he approached a house.

the house was very colorful that much he knew even in the dark. When Ethan approached the door, he noticed that it had a big, yellow star on it. 'What is this doing out here in the woods,' thought Ethan, as he opened the door a voice rang out, "Welcome to the Boiling isles, watch your step," Ethan was now blinded by a flash of light as he walked through the door.

When the light dissipated, Ethan stumbled onto the ground and started to get freaked out. "What the hell just happened," said Ethan, and suddenly he heard voices approaching, panicking he dove into a bush to hide in. "Who's there, come out," yelled a female voice, panicking even more Ethan accidentally pressed a button on his watch, making the center pop up. "Huh, it's never done that before," said Ethan curiously, as he turned the dial, some pictures showed up, and then he stopped on one and pressed down on the center as a flash of green light enveloped him.when light died down, Ethan was gone, and in his place was a rocky,fiery humanoid suddenly he screamed, as he jumped out of the bush running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, the woman who witnessed this was wondering what was the hell was going on.

"Amity, what's going on," said another woman, who was running up right behind her. "Luz, I heard someone open the portal door and went to see this thing running and screaming," said the now named Amity, who was now pointing at the panicking Ethan.

Then Ethan stopped and realized he was fine even though he was on fire, " Wow, what happened to me," he said in a gruff voice, "Ahem," said Amity, Ethan then turned his attention to the two women looking at directly at him. "Uh...hi," he said in a somewhat casual voice, "Who or what are you supposed to be," said the smaller Latina woman. "Careful, Luz, we don't know what it wants," said Amity. "Hey, lady, first things first, where am I," said Ethan, "The demon realm," said Amity, Ethan couldn't tell if she was serious or not, and he started laughing, but soon stopped as he realized she had a serious look on her face.

Suddenly, a loud beeping sound was heard as it came from the symbol on Ethan's chest. It had started flashing red and suddenly he was engulfed in red light, this time he was back to his normal self. Then Luz and Amity stood in shock of the boy that had just transformed in front of the them.

"You're a human like me," said Luz. Ethan was even more confused, "Of course I am, aren't you two supposed to be," "No, I think you came here on accident," said Luz. "Well how bout we get you to our house so you can explain yourself," said Amity.

When Luz, Ethan, and Amity arrived at the house, Ethan told them everything except about Pamela. Sufficed to say Amity and Luz were less than pleased, but there was some sympathy in their voices. "How did you turn into that flame guy," asked Luz, "I don't know, I just pressed down on my watch, and poof I was that guy," "You looked cool," said Luz giddily. "Well, why don't you stay here with us tonight," said Amity. Ethan was shocked as to how kind these strange women were to allow a stranger into their house.

The Next Day

As the sun rose, Ethan was awoken as he heard his name called. "Coming," he said when he walked down the stairs to the kitchen. where he saw Luz and Amity cooking breakfast. As he sat down at the table, Luz asked him what he would like for breakfast. "Just some eggs, Mrs.Noceda," he said. As Luz was preparing the eggs, Amity told him something, "We're going to help you find out about that watch of yours," "And maybe teach you how to control your power," Luz added.

When the three of them finished their breakfast and cleaned up, they went outside in the backyard, "Okay, can you turn into that flame guy again,Ethan," asked Luz. At that moment, Ethan turned the dial and slammed down on the center as green light engulfed the boy.

"Heatblast," yelled Ethan as he did a cool pose. Luz and Amity were confused at what the boy said, "Heatblast?" said Luz, "I thought he needed a name," said the boy, "Okay, let's see what this guy can do," Amity said as she drew a spell circle. "Abomination, rise," said Amity as an abomination was created, "Use this abomination as a training dummy," shouted Amity.

As soon as it appeared, it started to charge at Ethan. He put his hands up in self-defense, but suddenly, a stream of flames shot out of his palms. "Cool, fire powers," said Ethan as he threw a fiery punch at the abomination. He instantly defeated the abomination, jumping into the air as jets of fire came out of his feet propelling him forward into the sky. "I can fly," Ethan shouted, he then thought to himself 'I think that I'm gonna like it here,'

as he landed on the ground as Amity and Luz were clapping for him.
