The invasion failed and Lelouch decided to stay in Japan along with his sister. Britannia had abandoned them, his father abandoned them, so there was only one thing left for them to do, and that was to stay. Here he will make sure his sister is safe, and here he will begin his revenge against Britannia and his father

Lelouch and Nunnally are separated from Suzaku during the chaos of the invasion and have to trek to Tokyo on foot. Half-dead and desperate, he stumbles upon a brother-sister duo that reminds him of his principles, and his altruism forces him to intervene.

Having used the Hypno Zapper and having found a deeper love with Eri Karan and Ai Kishiki, Haru and Astora continue the legacy of the device. Sending it through digital space and into a new world, the Hypno Zapper arrives to a person who isn't a true hero, but still fights for a better world.
