Ceres is a young boy at the age of thirteen to fourteen, holding a Keyblade and the powers of The Prince of Empathy. Residing in the world of Traverse Town, the boy is training every day to reclaim the things he's lost. Once living in Radiant Garden, after the world fell, Ceres lost his grandmother and his siblings, only to be later adopted by Aerith when he was sent to Traverse Town after the fall. Ceres doesn't remember much from Radiant Garden, but he does remember one girl, Kairi, his older sister. He also remembers a boy, by the name of Imran.
While Ceres wanders in Traverse Town, someone from back in Radiant Garden reappears back into his life. That person is Imran. Ceres finds everything fine for the most part but it turns out Imran is not who he remembers. It seems it's increasingly hard to communicate with Imran, much to Ceres' dismay. He still tries however, hoping to open up his friend's heart to him. His attempts to understand Imran come with a price however as he learns the truth about why his friend changed and the extent to Imran's abilities, along with how much power he holds.
He has to put all of his plans on the back burner when four new kids appear in Traverse Town. Islanders named Sora, Riku, Kairi, Lake, Sarah, Azure appear one day, holding a Keyblade just like Ceres. As soon as they arrive, Ceres' journey to find his sister begins, his journey to find his family. As the journey goes on, Ceres learns more about the group and their struggles. While Lake refuses to talk about the past, Sarah and Azure push to at least bring up parts, despite Lake's persistence to make them stop.
As the journey continues, something, or someone lurks withing the darkness. Maleficent's Son. A threat and a foe our heroes need to face to reach their goal. But what happens when his true identity is finally revealed?
Ceres
Voice Actor
Katie Leung
Example For Original Characters Voice
Caitlyn Kiramman from Arcane
"Ceres. Prince of Empathy Ceres? Like, hello!"
"Take it or leave it, I'm not really giving you a choice here."
"Wait...are you crying? What's wrong? You can talk to me."
Ceres is caring, curious, and bold. He is confident and vivacious. Despite this boy's innocent appearance, he can be rather scarily determined and stubborn when the situation calls for it. Ceres is tough and self-reliant but he also has a compassionate heart that drives him to help people in any way he can. He is rather observant and investigative, especially when it comes to schemes and manipulative plans. He is not afraid to make tough choices and to strike decisive blows when necessary. However, whenever possible Ceres would rather attack a problem with his mind than with brute force. He's smart, but more interested in tech and current events than science. Ceres is compassionate in technology, easily excited over new forms of it like the Gummi Ship. He has good instincts for piecing together puzzles and isn't afraid to take risks to get to the bottom of a mystery. Since getting his Keyblade, Ceres has developed an agency to help others, being rather serious about it. This seriously sometimes grates on others, while it leaves him protective and rather confident in his ability from time to time. Ceres is empathetic to a fault, easily reading people and genuinely feeling upset when people are harmed. Ceres is someone who believes anything is possible, as opposed to Imran's own ideals, leading the two to find it hard to communicate because while Ceres is positive, positivity is something Imran appears to lack. He seems to hold a great despising feeling toward Maleficent and Lady Sunako. Ceres is the Prince of Empathy, with a connection to the King of Empathy, King Azar.
Imran
Voice Actor
Nick Apostolides
Example For Original Characters Voice
Leon Scott Kennedy From The Resident Evil 4 Remake
"Ceres, with all due respect, how do you know if he'll even pass as a Keyblade Wielder?"
"Imran, learn to shut your mouth, damnit!"
"Before…everything I was a jerk and now…I guess I'm just a broken human."
Imran shows himself to be headstrong and a bit vindictive, yet still idealistic. The boy is someone who values intelligence and doesn't have time to even make time for stupidity. Imran himself is intelligent, the boy able to pick up on even the tiniest detail that some have maybe missed. He is known for prioritizing emotions and instincts over hard logic. The boy seems to be rather intelligent when speaking about the Heartless and his voice shows he is rather passionate when relaying information he knows. He especially seems to know a bit about Maleficent herself. While serious most of the time, Imran shows a rather sweet side of himself from time to time. The boy is cautious and rather pragmatic. While not wanting to really be involved in Ceres' shenanigans, it seems he's always there to save him from humiliating or troubling situations and is, theoretically, supportive of his wish to save everyone. Imran's heart of gold, despite being there, is often defended by his lack of trust. He's also short on patience, reflective by his rather impulsive personality and tendency to run off from Sora and Ceres' group as they converse. He is rather reactive than acting in a personality, quick to take an offensive, or even just a simple defensive personality when the situation calls for it. Despite working with Ceres and the others, Imran has shown to be rather violent, from stomping rather continuously on a Heartless to wanting to cut the head from Jafar's shoulders. He has shown violent outbursts from time to time, the usually warning signs being an eye twitch or rapid mumbling. Imran is not shaken by the expression of distress. Imran seems to lack positivity, which separates him from Ceres in a drastic way that makes it harm for them to communicate. Imran is somewhat jumpy at times and he is snappy as well. Imran often gets anxious at times, especially when someone moves their hand too quickly or yells and tenses up from time to time. Imran has a hard time relaxing and it seems almost impossible for him to due to him always feeling threatened. Imran refuses to tell anyone anything about where he has been these past couple of years, instead avoiding the topic and either walking away from the conversation or changing the subject. If Imran is jumpy and threatening someone, it is often because of a lack of trust or some deeply held conviction.
Yusune
Voice Actress
Cherami Leigh
Example For The Original Character's Voice
Makoto Niijima From Persona 5 Royal
"Friends are that strange, huh? That's relatable, that's all I have to say."
"I know you saw his eyes. I couldn't see anything, there was no light, no emotion. He had nothing. It was like looking into the eyes of a monster."
"Apologies for the deception, I just needed to know I could trust you."
Yusune is a lady from the World by the name of Sunrise Garden. Sunrise Garden was a World overlooked by her Grandmother and one she loved with all her heart, from the flowers on the borders to the lakes to the sun setting over the mountains. To the people around her, Yusune appears as kind, yet stubborn and wise with a strong sense of compassion. While Yusune shows this, she's also seen as quiet and quick to rage. Yusune is also a lady who has a strong sense of justice and fairness. She does not tolerate injustice or cruelty, and she will stand up for what she believes in. She is brave and courageous, and she will not back down from a challenge or a fight. She is also very protective of her friends, especially Abigail, who is very special to her. Yusune is able to see the bigger picture and understand different perspectives most of the time. She has a soft spot for animals and children, and she enjoys spending time with them. She is stubborn and headstrong, and she doesn't like to admit when she is wrong or change her mind. She can also be sarcastic and witty, and she likes to tease or mock those who annoy her.
Abigail
Voice Actress
Sarah-Nicole Robles
Example For The Original Character's Voice
Luz Noceda from The Owl House
"Sorry Cer-Cer. There are just some things that people just don't need Keyblades for."
"Ran into him again…lost… again."
"You couldn't have been a little nicer about that?"
Abigail is a generally cheerful, happy-go-lucky type of girl, but is also a worrisome soul at times. This girl could be a bubbly airhead at times which grates on Cid, but Yusune loves it. Abigail can be pretty blunt at times, though she can sometimes be unaware of it. Abigail is a warm and lively individual who thinks about everything positively. She is generally empathetic and friendly to those she meets, and she will try to help or defend anyone who is kind to her or needs assistance. Despite her positivity, Abigail seems quick to anger specifically around Maleficent's Son. It seems she blames him for something. She can take on an extremely determined, focused, and somewhat intimidating attitude when the situation demands it. Again, this is usually in front of Maleficent's Son. However, despite everything with Maleficent's Son, Abigail would still go as far as to empathize with him, despite their differences in hopes to understand him. She would like to know her enemies before she makes any permanent judgements.
Alina
Voice Actress
Erin Fitzgerald
Example For The Original Character's Voice
Raven Queen From Ever After High
"I have a friend in Traverse Town that could help speed up our search. Of course, I'll only associate with them if you give job me the go ahead."
"I don't think we'll get anywhere if they keep on fighting."
"Her son seems almost as deranged as she is."
Alina is a rather calm and collected person. She is also intelligent, perceptive and rather good at reading others. She moves with grace and is rather gentle when it comes to speaking with others. Since she was raised by Queen Minnie and King Mickey, the only thing that can anger her is when someone talks bad about them. She doesn't seem as angered when Goofy and Donald are insulted. Her mannerisms and speaking patterns are another reflection of her grace. Despite her usual attitude, Alina does not have a good amount of confidence, as she is always praising others above her. Alina is polite and reserved but is sometimes very blunt and open about her opinion. She seems to feel very strongly about the action of Maleficent's Son and isn't afraid to speak up about it. Alina rarely expresses enthusiasm but when she does she's very bouncy about it, especially when she is excited by something new. She still has childlike curiosity, despite her elegance.
