Dragon Music Tales
Ways to be Wicked
Summary: In an alternate universe, when the Final Exam goes wrong, the Misfit Trio instead fights back against their people and runs away with Astrid, their dragons, and the other dragons from the Arena. Three years later, they now live at the Dragon Sanctuary with Hiccup's mother, Valka, who was thought to be dead, and are now vigilantes and rescue captive dragons from Dragon trappers and hunters.
The following one-shot is one of their missions.
Up somewhere in the Northern Seas, far away from Berk, a dragon trapper ship sailed smoothly across the icy waters. Eret, son of Eret; and the leader of this group of trappers, scanned the skies above him for any troubles.
Especially for those nuisances: the Dragon Riders. The leader of them, which was the first nuisance he had to deal with, doesn't appear much anymore. But their followers appear much more often. Two men, two women. They had tamed a Deadly Nadder, and three very rare dragons: a Boneknapper, a Grapple Grounder, and even a Night Fury. And they all wore colorful face paint to conceal their identities.
Those four were most likely associated with the previous Rider that had been a thorn in his side for almost three years. He only got away with a few deliveries because of that one Rider. And it has gotten worse when those four more Riders showed up. He was lucky enough to even make one delivery a month.
"Dragon Riders!" One of the crew members suddenly shouted.
Eret groaned. Speak of the devils themselves. He turned around and saw four dragons coming their way and fast. The one in the front, who was riding the Night Fury, took out a metal canister from behind him and began spraying a stream of Hideous Zippleback gas over the ship. Once he got to the other end, he ignited it, causing the gas to explode.
The crew all began coughing as they tried to fan away the smoke. The sounds of four people landing on deck were then heard as the Riders came onto on the ship. Eret glared at the silhouettes as voices began singing.
All four: We got all the ways to be W-I-C-K-E-D!
We got all the ways to be W-I-C-K-E-D!
Come on!
As they began chanting, the silhouettes of people began moving quickly, giving the crew shivers down their spines. According to some of the more crazy rumors, they move so quick and agile through their diversions that some believe they might be ghosts.
Hey, hey, hey, hey!
Hey, hey, hey, hey!
Hey, hey, hey, hey!
Hey, hey, hey, hey!
Then, one by one, they made themselves visible as they sung.
The leader, the one who rides the Night Fury, made himself known first. He had shaggy auburn hair with two strands braided behind his right ear, fair skin, and haunting green eyes. He wore a red long-sleeved tunic, leather armbands, brown leggings, brown leather boots, and brown leather armor all over his chest and shoulders. His shoulders bore leather pads, with one of them having an insignia of a Night Fury. He also had red face paint across his cheeks in two stripes diagonally down. In his left hand, he held a sword that can ignite the blade on fire.
Hiccup: Crashing the party,
Guess they lost my invitation.
Friendly reminder:
Got my own kind of persuasion.
The second Rider was one of the girls, the one that rode the Nadder. She was considered to be a great beauty, with blonde hair in a braid with bangs parting to her left, steel blue eyes, and fair skin. She wore a dark blue shirt with metal shoulder pads, a leather skirt, blue leggings, and brown leather boots. On her face, she wore orange and blue face paint in a shield design, and she twirled a battle axe in her hand.
Astrid: Looks like this place could use
A bit of misbehavior.
Happily ever after
With a little flavor.
The third Rider was the other male member, the one that rides the Boneknapper. He had auburn hair as well, but his was more red and wild. He also had dark blue eyes and fair skin. He wore a dark navy blue long-sleeved tunic, black pants, brown leather boots, metal leg guards, and leather armbands. On his hips, there were two shiny swords that was surprisingly strong, since they could easily cut through metal. On his face was blue and silver face paint decorating his face like two jagged lightning bolts.
Ragnar: Bad to the bone
With even worse intentions.
We're gonna steal the show
And leave 'em all defenseless.
Finally, there was the other girl Rider, the one that rides the Grapple Grounder. She also was considered a rare beauty, with her long brown hair tied into two twin pigtails and bangs down the left side of her face, brown eyes, and tan skin. She wore a dark green shirt with sleeves going to her elbows, a brown leather skirt, navy blue leggings, and brown leather boots. On her hips were two curved daggers made of the same metal as the twin swords belong to the Rider of the Boneknapper that can come together to form a bow. And on her back was a leather sheath full of arrows. Her face was painted with yellow and purple paint into two swirls on her cheeks.
Juno: A fairy tale life can be
Oh, so overrated.
So raise your voices and
Let's get it activated.
The four then readied their weapons in their hands as they quickly circled the frightened crew.
All: Long live havin' some fun.
We take what we want.
There's so many ways to be wicked.
With us, evil lives on
The right side of wrong.
There's so many ways to be wicked.
The three dragons that were circling above the ship fired different types of fire, or in the Nadder's case, sharp tail spines.
Fire, fire.
Hot, hot.
Do you feel it?
Pin, pin.
Take a hint.
Come on, let 'em go.
Change the way the story's told!
While the crew was distracted by three of the Riders and their dragons, their leader headed down into the ship's cargo hold with his Night Fury.
Hiccup: This time the dark is finally
Getting your attention.
Back up top, everyone was fighting off the crew while teasing them, as if this battle was more of a game to them, infuriating them even more.
Juno: We're wicked by the book,
And class is back in session.
Ragnar: You like it, steal it.
Gotta beat 'em to the treasure.
Astrid: A rite of passage,
All: Bad just doesn't get much better!
As they were singing and fighting, down below in the cargo hold, the leader was quickly picking the locks of the cages.
Long live havin' some fun.
We take what we want.
There's so many ways to be wicked.
With us, evil lives on
The right side of wrong.
There's so many ways to be wicked.
Hiccup: Mother always knows best.
Juno: Show her, pass every test.
Ragnar: Hear her voice in my head.
Astrid: Evil is the only
All: Real way to win.
We got all the ways to be
(Hey, hey, hey, hey)
W-I-C-K-E-D
Ragnar: Let's go!
All: We got all the ways to be
(Hey, hey, hey, hey)
W-I-C-K-E-D!
Juno: Yea-a-a-ah!
All: Long live havin' some fun.
We take what we want.
There's so many ways to be wicked.
With us, evil lives on
The right side of wrong.
There's so many ways to be wicked.
Cruel and unusual.
We're taking control.
There's so many ways to be wicked.
With us, evil lives on
The right side of wrong.
There's so many ways to be wicked.
Hey, hey, hey, hey!
Finally, the leader picked the last lock. He then got on his Night Fury and as they made their way back up to the deck with the freed dragons following close behind them. The other three then whistled to their own dragons and quickly got on them.
We got all the ways to be W-I-C-K-E-D!
We got all the ways to be W-I-C-K-E-D!
We got all the ways to be W-I-C-K-E-D!
We got all the ways to be-
Hiccup: So many ways to be wicked.
The four Riders then began laughing wildly as they flew out of sight. Eret growled as he glared at their disappearing forms in the sky. He really hates those annoying Riders.
Hiccup, Ragnar, Juno, and Astrid were still laughing as they led the freed flock of dragons to freedom. "Well, that was fun!" Juno said, stretching out her limbs and then casually lying down on Coccinelle's back.
"Tell me about it!" Ragnar agreed, petting Fossil's head.
"I love it when we tease them, though!" Astrid said. "They think we're the bad guys, and we give what for. Talk about irony."
Hiccup laughed. "Can you guys believe that it's been three whole years since we left Berk?" Toothless warbled, remembering that day.
"Yeah." Astrid said. "And thanks to you guys, Stormfly and I are great partners." She then petted her blue Nadder's head, making her squawk happily.
"You still don't regret leaving?" Juno asked her, sitting back up.
"Hey, you three saw the truth about dragons." Astrid said. "There's not a lot of honest Vikings out there."
"You got that right." Ragnar said.
"Come on, guys." Hiccup said. "Let's head back. Mom will be waiting."
"She probably won't have to wait long." Ragnar said as he pointed ahead of them. They looked over and soon saw the giant, magnificent spiked ice structure of an island that now serves as their home.
"We're back." Juno said as they flew in through the entrance.
"Yeah." Hiccup agreed. "We're back home."
A/N: Sorry for not updating this in so long, but I think this may be my best one, if not the longest one. When I first heard "Ways to be Wicked", I absolutely loved it. And I thought it could work in this scenario of an alternate universe. I don't own it in any way or form, though.
Also, "Descendants 2" is finally out tonight, so I posted this in honor of it. Can't wait to watch it.
See you next time! Got to fly! ;)
