Juno found herself walking around an unfamiliar island instead of on the Edge. The darkness around her seemed to make her feel a little on edge, as if a wild creature could just suddenly jump out and attack. She then felt herself turning and going inside a cave that was lit with torches.
Once in a while, she found iron barred doors; doors that were very familiar and that always sent chills down her spine. They were dragon cages. She then had a better good suspicion as to where she is. She is on the island of the Dragon Hunters.
Soon, juno found herself in an arena where multiple barred doors were circled around. She felt the pressure around her and started to sing as dragons being held captive behind those doors slowly began to stir.
Juno: Look at you,
Look at me.
Is this who I'm meant to be,
Father?
In her subconscious, she had a feeling she knew who she was referring to, but she still kept on singing for some reason despite the strange lack of disgust that should've been in her tone.
Is it wrong?
Is it right?
Being a thief in the night?
Father,
Tell me what to do.
Suddenly, a door opened. "No need to feel so lost, child." A voice said, echoing through the caves.
Juno turned around and saw the evil mastermind himself, Viggo Grimborn, entering the arena. He came up to her and placed his hand on her shoulder. Strangely, she didn't pull away as he began to sing.
Viggo: I was once like you, my child,
Slightly insecure.
Argued with my father, too.
Thought I was mature.
He then moved away from Juno as he walked around the arena, circling her.
But I put my heart aside,
And I used my head.
Now I think it's time you learned
What dear old papa said.
Viggo then stopped in front of a cage, where a dragon had woken up.
Don't you wanna be evil like me?
Don't you wanna be mean?
Don't you wanna make mischief
Your daily routine?
Well, you can spend your life
Attending to the poor,
But when you're evil,
Doing less is doing more.
Don't you wanna be ruthless
And rotten and mad?
Don't you wanna be very, very good
At being bad?
Viggo then pulled down a lever, and one of the cage doors began to open. Juno cautiously came closer to him.
I have tried my whole life long
To do the worst I can.
Clawed my way to victory,
Built my master plan.
Now the time has come, my dear,
For you to take your place.
Promise me you will try to be
An absolute disgrace.
Viggo then takes one of her daggers that was hanging from her waist and fingers it, admiring the silvery sheen of the forged Gronckle Iron.
Don't you wanna be evil like me?
Don't you wanna be cruel?
Don't you wanna be nasty
And brutal and cool?
He then roughly stabbed the blade into the nearby stone wall, making small chips of rock fall off. Juno shuddered a little when she suddenly got the notion that Viggo was picturing the end of her friends; mainly Hiccup and Ragnar.
And when you end your friends,
That's when your reign begins.
Who wants an evil queen
Without a sack of sins?
Don't you wanna be heartless
And hardened as stone?
Don't you wanna be finger-licking evil
To the bone?
Juno pulled her dagger out and placed it back on her side as she followed Viggo into the cave, which was dimly lit with only a couple of torches every few hundred meters.
This is not for us to ponder,
This was preordained.
You and I shall rule together;
Freedom soon regained.
Master of the universe,
powerful and strong.
Daughter, hear me, help me, join me,
Won't you sing along?
A smirk then spread across Juno face. A smirk she had seen too many times. Her mind was screaming at her, wondering what in Odin's name is she doing. She can't possibly be considering this? Her fear increased when she heard herself singing along with Viggo.
Both: Now we're gonna be evil, it's true.
Never gonna think twice.
Juno: And we're gonna be spiteful,
Viggo: Yes, spiteful.
That's nice.
Soon, they came to a chained up Gronckle. It was scarred badly, and it was practically half-starved.
In just an hour or two,
Our future's safe and sure.
This father-daughter act is
Going out on tour.
As he finished, Viggo handed Juno a sword and gestured over to the poor Gronckle, motioning to what he wanted her to do.
If you wanna be evil
And awful and free,
Then you should thank
Your lucky star
That you were born
The girl you are:
The daughter of an evilicious king
Like me!
Juno grinned maliciously and held her sword over her head. She then brought it down on the Gronckle with a mighty swipe.
The Solheim girl screamed in fright as she woke up in her bed, in her hut, on Dragon's Edge. She slowly regained her breathing as her Grapple Grounder, Coccinelle, came over to her, hearing her Rider scream.
Coccinelle nudged her head against Juno, and the Solheim girl hugged her dragon's head tightly as she began to softly cry. This was getting too complicated to handle now. She decided that maybe it was time to at least tell Hiccup and Ragnar about this.
She then mentally slapped herself when she realized that all the other Riders will be planning an attack on the Hunters' stronghold to rescue Heather. It was too risky to be any different right now. Ragnar had convinced Hiccup to let Juno stay off the mission, seeing that every time that they encounter the Hunters, he saw that she is too deep in thought to really focus.
Reluctantly, Hiccup complied to keep their best friend safe. But now, Juno wondered if this was a good idea. These fears are starting to get to her too much. Either she would let these nightmares overcome her, or it is time to face them. And for the sake of her friends, and for all dragons, she will face Hel herself to help them.
A/N: Here's my second Halloween one-shot! I hope that those who dared to read this enjoyed it. I'll have the third and final one-shot celebrating All Hallow's Eve by the 31st.
The song I used is "Evil Like Me" from "Descendants". I don't own it in any way, though.
Please leave a review about what y'all think, and leave some song suggestions for future one-shots. I have received a few, and I have a few ideas on how some could work. See you guys next time!
Got to fly! ;)
