This is Part III of the Labor Day Special. Last time, Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man took out the Fisk goons in Times Square before heading on to Fisk Tower itself. After briefing with Captain Yuri Watanabe, the trio head into Fisk Tower itself to help the officers inside already push forward against the enemy so Wilson Fisk can be arrested at last. We rejoin the Siege of Fisk Tower as it happens:
(Our scene resumes exactly where we left off, with Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man swinging in to Fisk Tower)
Spyro: Officers! We'll clear a path! Keep on us!
(With that, the three leap into the fray and start fighting the goons preventing the cops from getting any farther into the tower, but it seems not all the officers are happy about this.)
Officer: What's Spider-Man doing here?! He's going to mess this up!
Spider-Man: Right here, you know!
Cynder: No worries, he's with us. We'll keep Spidey from doing anything crazy.
(And just like that, the goons are taken care of and the officers advance forwards towards the elevators, but as they try to signal them, they stop working)
Officer: They've shut down the elevators! Head for the stairs!
(As the police officers head for the stairs, Spider-Man pries open the door to one of the elevator shafts)
Spider-Man: While they do that, we'll take a more direct approach.
Spyro: Good idea, Spidey.
(And with that, the trio proceeds through the elevator shaft, as Yuri calls their joint comm line)
Yuri: Status?
Spyro: Lobby's clear but Fisk's goons shut down the elevators.
Cynder: Officers are taking the stairs, the three of us are heading up the elevator shaft.
Spider-Man: Really hope nobody decides to turn the elevators back on.
Spyro: How're things outside?
Yuri: Choppers are taking heavy fire. Fisk must have armed men on every floor!
Cynder: He's desperate, and he's escalating. We've got to put a stop to this quickly.
Yuri: Not yet. Chatter indicates Fisk is wiping his data servers. All of them. We need that data if we're going to put him away for good.
Cynder: Server room is our next stop then.
(With that, the three enter an air vent, as another call comes through on the line)
Spyro: Uh oh, it's Aunt May.
Spider-Man: Leave this to me. (Answers the line) Hey Aunt May!
Aunt May: What's all that noise?
Spider-Man: Watching a superhero movie. What's up?
Aunt May: Just wanted to make sure we were still on for dinner tomorrow after your business at the Realms Embassy is wrapped up.
Spider-Man: Totally! If what Ambassador Cynder has told me is true, it's even on them.
Aunt May: Really? Well, please tell them they don't have to go out of their way for us.
Spider-Man: I'll forward the message. Looks like they're coming around the corner, better get back to work.
Aunt May: Okay then. Talk to you later, love you.
Spider-Man: Love you too. (Hangs up)
Cynder: Did you really tell her dinner was on us?
Spider-Man: It seemed convincing.
Cynder: If we take down Fisk today, dinner's gladly on me. Larb and Sticky Rice Pudding for everyone!
Spyro: Looks like we're about to re-enter the action. Get ready!
(And with that, our terrific trio slides out of the air vents and back into the fray, protecting the sieged police force by taking out the goons trying to kill them.)
Fisk Thug: Box them in so they can't jump around!
Spider-Man: In what world do you picture this ending well for you?
(The battle rages on, but eventually, all of Fisk's goons on this floor are taken out)
Cynder: As fun as that was, we've got to find the server room before there's no evidence left.
Spider-Man: (Sees an air vent) I think we can get there through that vent. Let's go!
(And as the three sling their way into the air vent, our tale ends for today)
