Welcome back to A Song Of Spiders And Dragons. Last time, after clearing up Cynder and Silver Sable's friendship, Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man swung back to F.E.A.S.T. to see if Martin Li's office is hiding something as to why he's leading the Demons. So, what is there to find? Read on to discover...

(Our scene resumes in the vents above the F.E.A.S.T. center, where Spider-Man is crawling around with Spyro and Cynder not far behind. But straight away, Cynder notices something is weird)

Cynder: Is it just me, or are the vents here... unusually large?

Spider-Man: Come again?

Cynder: There seems to be ventilation running to an interior room.

Spyro: What's so odd about that?

Cynder: There's no room listed in this area on the floor plans.

(At this point, Spider-Man just stops, having caught something else)

Spider-Man: And that's not the only thing. (Points out the wiring in front of them) Those're high voltage wires. What here requires that much power?

(As Spider-Man shoots out the high voltage with an electric web, the trio drops out of the vent straight into Martin Li's office, and after a few minutes of looking around, things start popping up.)

Spyro: (Opening a book in Martin Li's desk) Looks like Mr. Li kept a journal. (Reads an entry) And it seems he couldn't believe the Fisk takedown anymore than we could.

Cynder: (Holds up a note from the desk) Well, if there's one thing I can still say about Martin Li, it's that he doesn't want the center to be forgotten. This reads like a suicide note. I guess in terms of his career, it was. He pretty much names May as his successor here at F.E.A.S.T.

(Spider-Man meanwhile isn't hearing this, rather he's focusing on the shrine Martin Li erected in memory of his parents, and realizes something)

Spider-Man: Hey, Cynder, is this about where you said you saw an interior room?

Cynder: (Looks at the wall) This would be right, why?

Spider-Man: Looks like the entrance could be behind Mr. Li's shrine. But, why is this here? I thought Mr. Li's parents abandoned him.

Cynder: (Looks at the portrait) Wait, that wasn't there last time I saw the thing. (Examines it closer) Is that a... keyhole?

Spider-Man: It is!

Spyro: (Flips a page in the journal) And I think I found the key. He was using it as a bookmark.

Cynder: Then let's see what Mr. Li's hiding.

Spider-Man: All I can tell is that Mr. Li feels... out of balance. Almost like he didn't want to go down this path.

(With that, Cynder uses the key on the portrait, and unlocks it revealing... another lock.)

Spyro: That's supposed to be a symbol for balance, last I checked.

Cynder: (Notices three dials next to it) It still is. Give me a second

(As Cynder turns the dials, the familiar taijitu, or yin-yang symbol, emerges, unlocking a secret door)

Cynder: Bingo.

(With the door unlocked, the team stumbles upon the secret room seen from the crawlspace, and in it, a whole cache of information on Martin Li's schemes, but notably a photo-negative version of the picture of Martin Li's parents.)

Spyro: (Seeing the negative) That's... creepy.

Spider-Man: Look at this place! How did nobody know this was here?

Cynder: I have no idea.

Spyro: (Spies something on the main table) Looks like Mr. Li was recording something in here. Let's see what he has to say.

(With that, Spyro plays the recording.)

Martin Li: (Via the recording) I can feel my power getting stronger by the day. It's feeding off my anger, I know it. Father would say I've lost the path of balance. To be honest, I can't say he's wrong. But that's the thing he never understood. The only way to fight a monster, it seems, is to become one yourself...

(As the recording plays, Spider-Man takes a step back, unable to comprehend that this is the same Martin Li he knew, unknowingly stepping off a pressure plate. Thankfully, his Spider-Sense kicks in, and he grabs both Spyro and Cynder before slinging to the ceiling, knocking the recording onto the floor destroying it as it erupts into sparks)

Cynder: What was that for?

Spider-Man: We're in the middle of a burn room!

Spyro: Looks like Mr. Li didn't want any of this being found. Imagine if the police found this!

Spider-Man: Or May. Thank goodness we found it first then.

(Wasting no time, the trio finds the junction boxes and disables the burn room, preserving the evidence.)

Cynder: This is unbelievable. I still don't know how this is the same Martin Li we all knew...

Spyro: It's not. Something happened to him.

Spider-Man: We need to get back out there, and put a stop to this.

(With that, Spider-Man unblocks a doorway out of the burn room, as our scene ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to end for today. A lot of evidence here, but no way they can turn it in without admitting to B . But it did re-steel the team's efforts with one goal in mind: Stop Martin Li. Admittedly this wasn't a very big chapter either. Next time, there will be more to say. So, what awaits next? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
