Had a new idea for a crossover between two animes. Saruhiko and Lelouch share the same Eng VA so i thought why not have them meet (cause they both are a bit crazy too)

This is set shortly after the Black Knights are formed (but before that episode with Kallen and the Refrain) and a few days before season 1 of K.

In a single moment, Lelouch went from relaxing in his room to some place else entirely. The sounds of a bustling city filled his ears. People walked all around him, paying no attention as they walked by, heading off in different directions.

This isn't… How did I get here? C2… is this your doing…?

Lelouch looked around, trying to see if he could spot the green haired girl, but she was nowhere in sight.

Hmm, it looks like I'll have to figure this out on my own. Whether this is some kind of illusion or something else… I need to know what kind of place this is…

He glanced around, seeing digital signs across buildings, with some having large screens showing news or whether.

They seem to have advanced technology. Different from what Britannia has… So just what is this place? Can't just ask normally, people would question it if I didn't know anything.

Lelouch started walking down the street, moving past people who were deeply occupied with whatever was in their phone rather than what was around them. As he caught quick glances, he began picking up on just what he was seeing.

Their phones are different… much more advanced…

Taking a moment to look around again, he saw a man standing alone at a bus stop. He didn't seem as caught up in his phone as others. Lelouch moved quickly, knowing he would have limited time.

"Ah, excuse me?" he started off lightly as he approached.

The man looked over at him, giving direct eye contact. "Yes? Can I help you with something?"

Lelouch activated his geass. "You'll answer any questions I have until your bus arrives."

"Alright, what do you need to know?" the man asked, now under the influence of geass.

"Tell me, what is this place?" he said, keeping his voice low.

"You're in Shizume City."

Shizume City…? That sounds like a…

"And where is Shizume City?"

"It's one of the cities located within Tokyo, Japan."

Lelouch's heart pounded heavily, hammering loudly in his ears.

That's impossible… There's no way that could be true. If it wasn't for the absolute obedience then I would've thought this was a prank. Some cruel sick joke…

"What's the current date?"

"It's the 12th of December, 2012."

The air around Lelouch felt heavy. He tried running every possible idea through his mind on how this could make any sense, but nothing was adding up. There was no conclusion he could find that lined up with what he knew. Instead, as he tried to find an answer, he only made more and more questions for himself.

If what he says is true… then how did I get here in the past… but it isn't the past. Japan was never this advanced, especially not in 2012. Just what is this place?

Clearing his throat, Lelouch asked the next most pressing issue that was on his mind. Depending on the answer given, it would either help him or only confuse him more.

"Does the Britannia Empire mean anything? Or Area 11?"

The man shook his head. "None of those names are familiar."

What the hell is going on!?

Lelouch was ready to ask more questions, but he saw the bus approaching. Giving a sigh, he asked one last quick question before the geass wore off. "Where is the nearest library?"

The man pointed in one direction. "Down that way, about two blocks and it'll be on your right."

"Thank you, that's all I need," Lelouch said, walking away just as the effect of the geass wore off on the man.

Following the directions he had been given, he couldn't help but stare at everything around him.

Would this be Japan if the empire hadn't taken over? But… Why is the year different? What is the reasoning behind it? There has to be a purpose for why all of this is here.

He came across the library after a few minutes, stepping inside quickly. His curiosity was growing and he needed answers fast. If he could find any information about all of this, without having to use his geass excessively.

He searched the aisles as he made his way to the history section. His eyes scanned the shelves quickly, looking for any bit of evidence that would prove this was all a farce. But, as he looked at book after book, he found nothing of the sort, only unfamiliar history.

Nothing of Britannia? The war? None of it exists here…

Exiting the aisle, he moved further through the library, coming across an area with rows of computers. He sat down and clicked open a search bar, typing in the first thing that came to his head; The Holy Britannian Empire.

There were some form of results, but nothing related to what he had hoped to see. There were existing words for Britain in this weird timeline or place, but it had no connection to anything he was familiar with.

He then searched Black Knights and his search. Again, he got results, but not what he had wanted. This time talking about the term 'black knight' in fictional stories.

Leaning back in the chair, Lelouch frowned at the screen. None of it exists here. I'm sure if I simply typed in Zero, I would only get results for the number. But there must be… Wait…

Fingers hovering over the keyboard, he hesitated for a moment before typing in Current Prime Minister of Japan.

He held his breath watching the search load… and seconds later his heart dropped.

The name Prime Minister Samukawa showed up as the top result, with an image of just an unfamiliar man.

Frantically he started searching every name that came to mind, from Kallen, to Ohgi, to even searching his own family name. He had no results for any of them.

Not even the people that exist here are the same… None of this is the same. What the hell happened?!

He practically bolted from his chair, heading towards the front of the library. If he couldn't get his answers here, then he would have to search elsewhere. Aside from the need to know how he got here, he also wanted to see this world. If it truly was some alternate version of Japan, then he needed to see as much as possible.

If this really is Japan… in a world where the Britannian Empire never existed… I need to see it.

Marching outside, Lelouch started looking around the streets again. The people around him were still so busy, all of them seemingly living such content lives.

He turned down one street, wondering if there was a good place with a vantage point of the city. There were probably places to visit that could give him what he needed, but maybe first he could find himself a map. Maybe he would need to go back to the library to check…

"Hey kid."

Lelouch turned around, seeing someone looking like some type of authority figure.

"Yes?" he asked, trying to act as casual as he could. "Is there something wrong, sir?"

"Isn't a kid like you supposed to be in school?" the man grunted.

Of course walking around during school hours wouldn't work as easily as I would hope.

He smiled at the man as he activated his geass. "You don't have to worry about me being in school. Just leave me be."

"Oh, very well. Carry on," the man said before turning around, leaving Lelouch to be on his own again.

As he walked down the street, he didn't notice a figure watching from the alleyway. The figure was dressed in a blue uniform, watching Lelouch carefully as they took notes on their phone.

After Lelouch was out of sight, they made a call on the phone. "Captain? I think I might have some interesting information for you to know."

This city… the place known as Shizume City… It truly is a marvel. Could this have become Japan if not for the war? Could they have risen to a world like this if they were free and not forced to live under Britannian rule?

Lelouch had found his way to a tall building with an observation floor for anyone to walk around in. It gave him plenty of views of this strange new city, which only gave him more and more questions.

There must have been a reason I was brought here. It couldn't have just been random. Is there a purpose? Am I supposed to do something here? But if so, then what?!

As he tried to think further, his stomach started to loudly grumble. He sighed, marching towards the elevator that would take him back down to ground level.

Stuck in a strange alternate world with no money… Of course that would be the case. But, even if I did have any money, who's to say it would even work here? I don't want to use my geass to make people give me food, but what other choice do I have?

He thought it over as he walked down the street, knowing there weren't many choices to truly act upon. Until he could find a way home, he needed a way to get food and shelter.

Maybe I'll get lucky and find a food stall giving away something free… Unless…

He eyed an area on one street that had a couple of restaurants, one of which didn't look like it had any customers at the moment.

He sighed, moving forward knowing that he was going to have to use his geass on such a frivolous thing.

Stepping inside the restaurant, he saw that the menu offered enough to pick from. He breathed in deeply as he prepared everything in his head before he walked up to the person behind the counter.

"Hello, can I get you something?" the woman asked.

Lelouch quickly activated his geass. "You will see me as a son of an old family friend and offer me a free meal, no questions asked."

The woman smiled once the geass took control. "Oh, of course! So wonderful to see you. What would you like to order?"

Lelouch returned the smile and picked out a small meal for himself to eat. As he waited for the food, he thought over his next plan of action. Eventually, he would need to find a place to stay, if he was going to be here longer.

Part of him wished that after he ate his meal, he would wake up back home, finding this all a dream. There was still so much to do. The Black Knights were still newly formed, but already on the rise all over the news.

If I am gone for days… if Zero is gone… then the Black Knights will be at a loss.

Lelouch clenched a fist, trying to keep his cool in check.

I will find a way to return. I'll get back before anyone notices my absence.

Before long, the meal was served. It tasted more real than any dream could provide. Still, he ate it, giving himself a moment of peace. Though, for him a moment of peace was brief before the gears of his mind began turning again.

Throughout the entire meal, he kept thinking of his next plan of action, unable to truly enjoy the tastiness of what he was eating.

After the meal was finished, he stood up, thanking the person at the counter before leaving the restaurant.

Now out in the streets of the city again, he pulled a map he picked up when passing by a tourist spot. At least, compared to the food, the map was a free thing he could take without worry.

"Now… Where should I go next…" he muttered to himself as he unfolded the paper.

The city itself was fairly big, but what caught his attention was a small island off of the mainland. The label on the map said it was an island designed with a school called Ashinaka High School.

"It's no Ashford Academy, but a large prevalent school like that is interesting. I doubt I'll find any answers there, but it could be something to explore later," he mumbled.

Not knowing where to head next, Lelouch decided he might as well return to the library. If he truly wanted to understand what this world was, he was going to have to dive deep into its history.

As he headed back in the direction of the library, he noticed someone walking towards him. Opposed to the previous authority figure, this person was dressed in a blue uniform.

Some form of military? If so, what would they want with me? Unless…

"Excuse me, sir," the man said as he approached. He held one of those strange and sleek modern phones. "Do you have a moment to answer a few questions?"

Lelouch held back from glaring suspiciously at the man, noting that there was a saber at his side. Instead he gave a friendly smile, as if he wasn't on edge.

"Oh? Is there something wrong?"

I'll have to be ready. If I end up provoking this person, I'll need an escape route. That alleyway looks like it may lead out elsewhere. But, on the other hand, if this man is some high ranking military authority, perhaps they'll have the answers I need.

"Would you say you've noticed anything strange within your day today?"

Lelouch held his breath.

He must know something. Maybe he knows how and why I got here. Maybe…

He activated his geass, ready to use it at a moment's notice.

"I wouldn't know. Everything's been fairly normal today. Why? Is there something I need to be concerned about?"

The man glanced down at his phone, frowning. "Hmm, so I see. In that case…" Something was being typed down on the phone. "I'll have to ask you to come along with me."

So, he already suspects me of something. I could go with him… maybe, but what are the chances it could be a trap? I don't know anything about this world or how it works. I should check to see what his intentions are.

Just as Lelouch was going to issue a command to get his answers, someone wrapped a hand around him from behind, pressing a cloth to his mouth.

The smell was sharp and immediately Lelouch knew what it was.

Chloroform?! Do they… They must…

With his mouth covered he couldn't say any commands. He couldn't use his geass as his mind slipped into a deep unconscious state. As his mind faded though, he heard the voice of the man as well as one other talking.

"Fushimi… did you really have to do that? All we needed was to make sure he couldn't say anything before taking him in."

"And you'd rather take a chance that his ability doesn't need a vocal command?"

That voice… something about it…

After that, Lelouch could no longer hear what they were saying, his mind fully caving to a forced sleep.
