As the sun rose of the African savanna it seemed to make a massive protruding rock in a weird shape glow. A large lion with a bright crimson mane that seemed to shine in the rising sun's light.
"Simba." A tan lioness said as she walked over to the edge that the male lion was standing on.
"Nala." Simba said while nuzzling the lioness. "Have you seen Kion?" He continued to ask.
"Last I saw he was heading down to the lair. Why?" Nala answered.
"I think it's time." Simba responded.
"Time?" Nala said curiously.
"Yes, it is time." Simba said. Simba then walked down the rock.
When Simba got down the rock, he walked to a cluster of vines that seemed to cover a wall, however the large lion kept walking to reveal that the vines were merely covering a hole in the wall. As Simba walked through, he saw a large cave. Over by the far wall was a large pool with a large male hippo in it, the hippo looked like he was good few inches taller than a normal hippo. He then saw an adolescent female cheetah sitting on some rock above the pool next to an egret and a violet eagle. As Simba looked over he saw a adolescent female mandrill using the inside of fruits as paint and painting the wall. Simba then heard a splash and looked back to the pool.
"Bunga!" The cheetah growled at the honey badger.
"Sorry Fuli." Bunga said to the cheetah who shook to dry off but got the egret and eagle wet in the process.
"Ughhh." The Eagle and egret said in unison.
"Oh, sorry Anga, Ono."
"It's fine." The eagle now revealed as Anga said.
"Affirmative." Ono the egret said.
"Mehm." Simba said to get their attention.
The five animals all looked at the lion and realized they were ignoring him.
"Your majesty." The five animals said in unison.
"Hello Lion Guard. Have you seen Kion?" Simba said.
Just as Simba finished his sentence, they all heard someone walk in and turned around to see a lion that looked much like Simba, save the mane which was still only on top of his head. The adolescent lion seemed large for his age with Simba only being about 2 inches taller than him. The younger lions muscles were well defined and evenly distributed throughout his body.
"I heard my name?" The Lion said revealing himself to be Kion.
"Hello Kion." Simba answered.
"Hey dad, what are you doing here?" Kion asked his dad.
"Well." Simba started, "I believe it is time to take the battle to the outlands and finish Ushari for good."
"Woah" All the animals in the lair said.
The next day Kion and Simba stood on top of Pride Rock looking down at the animals the Lion Guard has gathered to take the fight to Ushari and his army in the Outlands. There were Antelope, Wildebeest, Water buffalo, elephants, crocs, and even a few gorillas.
"It is time." Simba said in a loud voice that all the animals gathered there could hear. All of the animals started cheering and soon they set off to the outlands.
As the animals got to the edge of the border between the Pride lands and the outlands Kion and the rest of the Lion Guard stood Infront of the other animals as they looked at Ushari's army which has gathered on the other side of the border.
"We'll fight for what's right!" Kion roared.
"Pride landers Unite!" The rest of the animals from the pride lands shouted as they started charging towards the opposing army.
As the animals fought Kion came upon a few jackals who growled then leaped at Kion which proved to be a grave mistake as Kion used his massive paw and smacked the first jackal so hard it sent her flying into a wall as she fell unconscious . The second jackal tried to flank Kion but it proved useless as he bit the jackal in the back. The jackal winced as Kion threw him into the third jackal. Kion then roared as the rest of the Lion Guard watched him.
"I've never seen him fight like that." Fuli said in half awe and half fear of Kion's tenacity.
"Yep." Anga agreed with the same tone in her voice.
"Lion Guard let's go, Makini come on!" Kion roared out as the rest of the guard and Makini followed him.
Janja had told Kion that Ushari's plan was to cause an eruption so big it would swallow the whole pride lands. Rafiki over heard this and told Kion that Makini could do a ritual that would cause it to rain, which would in-turn cause the volcano's lava to turn to stone.
As the Lion Guard and Makini went up the mountain they came upon a tunnel leading to the inside of the volcano where Ushari was. The whole guard stopped and starred down the tunnel.
"Do you guy's think scars really back?" Makini asked breaking the silence.
"No way..." Fuli answered though not sounding to sure about it.
"No. Scar died in the fire at pride rock years ago there's no way he could be back." Kion said reassuringly.
This answer seemed to calm everybody's nerves. "Kion's right he can't be back." Ono said backing Kion up.
Kion then looked at the guard who all gave him a nod, he then started walking down the tunnel. As they got closer to the center of the volcano they found it increasingly harder to breathe, and it even affected their eye sight a little bit. As they entered the volcano they heard a menacing voice.
"Kionnn..." The voice said. When the guard heard this they all froze.
"Scar!" Kion said while growling.
"Yes Kion. It is me. Your dear uncle." Scar retorted.
"This means..." Makini muttered.
Suddenly a voice came from the wall to their right. "Yes, young mandrill, I used necromancy."
"Ushari!" Kion roared. While the only thing Makini could do was shutter. "Makini start preparing the rains!"
Makini began the ritual to bring the rain to stop Ushari's plan. Suddenly A lion appeared from the darkness to the groups right. The guard started to back up until they realized the lion wasn't scar but an adolescent lion who looked to be around Kion's age.
"Plantagenet." the lion snarled.
"Kion, 'lion' guard, I would like to officially introduce you to our apprentice, Ombre of house Fisadi.
As the guard heard fisadi they all froze. Except Bunga who asked: "Fisadi?"
"Bunga didn't you pay attention during the history of the Pride lands?" Fuli asked angrily.
"No." Bunga answered.
"Ugh. The Royal house of Fisadi had ruled the Pride Lands before House Plantagenet. The Fisadi ruled the Pride Lands much like scar did, eating and killing animals without reason just for the sport. However, Kion's ancestors arrived in the Pride Lands from a distant land, but they were originally from Pride Rock and had ruled it until the Fisadi came and pushed the Plantagenets out of the Pride Lands. When Kion's ancestors returned to the lands they saw the ruin the Fisadi had brought to their ancestral home, and decided that they would take it back. That was when Askari and his brother Ljus returned to the lands. When they got to Pride Rock Askari had discovered a power: The Roar. And Askari used it on the Fisadi and sent them to the Outlands to never return." Ono explained.
That's when the guard noticed Ushari around Ombre's neck.
"Look you don't know what Ushari and Scar want to do-" Kion started.
"They want to destroy the Pride Lands." Ombre interrupted.
"I guess he does know." Bunga said confused while scratching his head.
"Your ancestors destroyed my family and now ill destroy you!" Ombre roared before lunging at Kion.
Kion reacted quickly and moved to avoid Ombre's attack and tried to counter with a paw strike but was too late as Ombre smashed his paw across Kion's face. Kion then roared in pain as he stumbled back but quickly regained his composure. Ombre didn't lighten up on his attack's as he jumped toward Kion, but this proved to be a massive mistake as Kion smashed his massive paw against Ombre's face. But just as Kion was about to bite down on Ombre's neck Ushari lunged from the Fisadi lions neck and bit Kion across his left eye. Kion then stumbled back as Bunga rushed to Ushari and pinned him down.
"Agh!" Kion snarled but soon returned to his fight with Ombre. Kion had bit the lion in his back and thrown him into the wall as Ushari escaped Bunga to go for another bite on Kion's leg.
"No you can't kill him!" Ushari hissed as he lunged but Bunga quickly reacted and pushed Ushari into the lava but bunga fell in with him.
"Ahhhh!" Bunga screamed.
"Hapana!" Ono yelled as he quickly dove for Bunga. After about 30 seconds Ono flew back up with Bunga in his feet. "I've got you Bunga!"
"Woah, thank Ono" Bunga said thanking the small egret.
"Ono... your eyes" Anga said worriedly.
Suddenly the volcano started to erupt and back outside the Volcano Simba looked at he eruption in horror as he screamed. "Kion!"
All the Pride landers except for Simba began running. Jasiri saw this and quickly ran back to Simba trying to force him to run. "Your Majesty you have to go!" Jasiri yelled.
"Kion..." Simba said in horror.
"Your Majesty the Pride lands need you now go!" Jasiri said as Janja joined her in trying to push the massive lion. Simba finally reluctantly ran toward the pride lands as it began to rain. The lava immediately turned to rock as the Pride landers along with the outlanders just starred at the volcano.
"Kion!" Nala screamed in horror.
"No, Kion!" An adolescent lioness screamed with Nala.
"Kiara, Nala..." Simba started as Nala started nuzzling him, then the young lioness revealed as Kiara joined in.
"Kion, little brother..." Kiara muttered through sobbing.
On the other side of the Volcano the Lion Guard emerged from a hole in the Volcano.
"Kion let me see your eye." Makini stated. Though she and the rest of the guard, save Ono shrieked as they saw the scar over Kion's left eye.
"What?" Kion and Ono asked.
"Kion you have a scar." Makini muttered.
"Ono? You can't see it?" Anga asked surprised.
"No. Everything's blurry." Ono explained.
Makini examined Kion's scar and gasped as she realized that the venom from Ushari's bite was still inside of Kion.
"What?" Kion asked while padding his eye and groaning quietly.
"Kion. The venom from Ushari's bite is still inside you." Makini muttered. "And as for you ono the vog may have damaged your eyes. But don't worry, I know how to fix both. The Tree of Life!"
"Okay, once we go see our families we will set off to the tree of life." Kion said while groaning.
"No, we have to go now, we can't waste any time, the venom will only spread throughout you." Makini explained.
"But our family's probably think we're dead!" Kion retorted.
"Kion, we'll come back but for now you and Ono need to go to the tree of life as soon as possible." Fuli said.
"Fine." Kion growled. "Makini lead the way."
The guard then set off following Makini. Kion looked back at the pride lands.
"Mom, Dad, Kiara. I'll be back." Kion said confidently before following his friends.
Once the Lion Guard was out of ear shot Ombre walked from the same hole they had. "Tree of Life huh." Ombre said while grinning and beginning to follow the Guard.
