On board of the Cybertronian ship a Decepticon with what some people would call stick limbs was typing away on a computer.
"Ah, Soundwave nice to see you working diligently." A voice said.
Soundwave didn't turn around to know who the voice belonged to though he wishes that he could end the seeker's life more now than ever before.
"well everyone on this ship seems to be coping with Lord Megatron's termination via our Space Bridge exploding." Starscream said.
'All but you, even Lugnut could tell that you're happy about Megatron's death and his IQ is in the single digits.' Soundwave thought before he then spotted something or someone.
"Starscream sir." A Vehicon said.
"What is it?" the SIC of Decepticons questioned.
"we got word from one of our Energon mines apparently they were complaining about the equipment and wish to speak with you about it." The Vehicon said.
"Given our late Lord Megatron's failure we need every one of our mines if we are to have any hope to restore our beloved Cybertron." Starscream said.
If the two saw Soundwave's face plate, then they would have seen Soundwave had made a picture of Starscream as a peacock.
"very well I shall see to it after all I'm still riding on the fun I had terminating Cliffjumper." Starscream said.
Then Soundwave stopped Starscream to show him what he had found.
"What is it Soundwave?" Starscream questioned.
Soundwave's face shows the image of Megatron's body floating in space.
"but that's not possible." Starscream said.
'Trust me I'm with you on that one.' Soundwave thought he then shows the readouts for Megatron's body.
"fine after I deal with the mine I'll check it out." Starscream said before leaving.
Is Megatron just that lucky or is he the Cybertronian version of a cockamouse?' Soundwave thought.
~Flashback~
Inside of Iacon's hospital, a purple mech with a single yellow eye was laying on a berth while Soundwave lays on the other.
"There we go all done." Another bot said.
"I can't believe Optimus was right about not just Shockwave but Soundwave as well, by Primus when your high-class bots mess up you messed up big time." a big red bot with metal shoulders told a white and blue bot next to him.
I know." The white and blue bot said.
"Okay Shockwave is done I still need more time on Soundwave." the brown and cream color Autobot said.
"Right." The white and blue bot said.
The white and blue bot leaves to go get Optimus.
"alright Soundwave let's get to work." The brown and cream colored bot said.
Inside of the War room Optimus was checking the war front status on Velocitron.
"How are you holding up Override?" Opmtius asked the Autobot Commander on Velocitron.
"I'm doing fine Optimus." Override said.
"Any signs of the rust?" Optimus questioned.
"None so far." Override said.
"Inform me if you see any signs." Optimus said.
"yes sir." Override said.
The screen turns off as the white and blue bot walk in the room.
"Mirage what is the status on Shockwave and Soundwave?" Optimus questioned.
"they're both stable." Mirage said.
"How is the removable of the Shadowplay programing?" Optimus questioned.
"Almost done." Mirage said.
"Who is left?" Optimus questioned.
"Just Soundwave." Mirage said.
"Bring them to me once they have awakened." Optimus ordered.
"yes sir." Mirage said.
Shockwave start to move as he wakes up.
"what? Where am I?" He questioned.
"You're at Iacon's hospital." a brown and cream colored Autobot said.
"Mirage is that you?" Shockwave questioned.
"No, I'm Chromedome." the now named Chromedome said.
"Oh sorry I must not be completely recovered yet." Shockwave said.
"It's fine but what is the last thing you remember?" Chromedome questioned.
"I was in my office after that nothing." Shockwave said.
"Just as Optimus Prime and Alpha Trion thought." Chromedome said.
"what do you mean?" Shockwave questioned.
"And who is this Optimus Prime!?" Shockwave questioned again.
"you once knew him as Orion Pax." Chromedome said.
"WHAT!?" Shockwave said in shock.
"yes chosen by Primus himself." Chromedome said.
Shockwave stared at Chromedome in shock while said bot was still working on Soundwave.
"Ironhide, Mirage please go get Optimus." Chromedome said.
"On it." Mirage said.
The two Autobots leave the room.
"Orion Pax is a Prime that is astonishing." Shockwave said.
'Seeing him this emotional is freaky.' Chromedome thought.
Shockwave then sees Soundwave.
"What's wrong with that fellow?" Shockwave questioned.
"same thing that happened to you." Chromedome said.
"What do you mean? and what's that symbol?" Shockwave questioned as he pointed to the Autobot icon.
Chromedome paused for a second before speaking.
"Shockwave I'm sorry to say but we're at war." He said.
"What!? with who!? and why are we at war with them!?" Shockwave questioned shocked to hear that.
"we are at war with Megatron and his Decepticons and the reason is because Megatron craves power." Chromedome said.
"Megatron the gladiator? and his Decepticons?" Shockwave questioned.
"Yes and that is what he and his followers are called." Chromedome said.
"They Shadowplay me? didn't they?" Shockwave questioned.
"Sadly, yes Shockwave the High Counsel did used Shadowplay on both you and Soundwave." Optimus answered as he entered the room.
"Orion." Shockwave said.
"These days I go by Optimus Prime Leader of the freedom fighting Autobots." Optimus said.
"I see." Shockwave said.
Then Optimus told the former Senator everything.
"I see." Shockwave said.
Then Soundwave comes back online.
"Soundwave how do you feel?" Chromedome questioned.
"Who are you?" Soundwave questioned.
"I'm Chromedome now tell me what is the last thing you remember?" Chromedome said.
"Rescuing a catbot." Soundwave said.
"I see well there's something you need to know." Chromedome said.
"Don't worry Chromedom I'll tell Soundwave everything he needs to know." Optimus said.
"Alright Optimus." Chromedome said.
"Optimus?" Soundwave questioned as Chromedome leaves
"I was once known as Orion Pax." Optimus said.
"I remember you helped me when I went to Iacon's Hall of Records." Soundwave said.
"I am now known as Optimus Prime." Optimus said.
"You're a Prime now!? but how!?" Soundwave questioned.
Optimus then goes on to explain everything to Soundwave.
"I can't believe it." Soundwave said.
"yes and I'm afraid that it gets worse." Optimus said.
"by Primus what else could there be?" Shockwave questioned.
"Thanks to cosmic rust we lost more colonies because of it." Mirage added.
"it's not just after doing some research I have discovered something terrible." Optimus said.
"What is it?" Shockwave questioned.
"our planet is dying." Optimus said solemnly.
"WHAT!?" both Waves shouted.
"Megatron's tyranny has taken its toll on Primus." Optimus said.
"Is there no way to restore their planet?" Soundwave questioned.
"that is something of which I don't know and by the time we do find a solution it'll be too late." Optimus said.
"So, what now?" Soundwave questioned.
"we have located a planet that's rich with Energon." Optimus said.
"Don't you mean planets since the odds of finding a planet where every-bot could live on since we have half of every colony on our side." Ironhide said.
"yes hence why Megatron will be hunting for them." Optimus said.
"Given only a quarter of each colony had join his side" Mirage said.
"right we must be ready." Optimus said.
"But why did you help us Optimus Prime?" Soundwave questioned.
"Does one need a reason to help his fellow Cybertronians?" Optimus said.
"The better question is how could you tell we were under the effects of Shadowplay?" Shockwave questioned.
"I have had my suspicions about the council so I discreetly researched to where those who are under the effects of Shadowplay are located." Optimus said.
"I see." both waves said.
"Yes though you both were nearly knocked offline." Optimus said.
Both Waves looked at the Prime
"We managed to recover you before that could happen and remove the Shadowplay." Optimus said.
"It was by luck that both of you were at a Decepticons supply warehouse that we were raiding." Ironhide said.
"What?" Both waves questioned.
"We were running low on some supplies and you both were knock out away from the fighting." Mirage said.
"But why were we near there at all?" Shockwave questioned.
The three Autobots share a questioning look.
"We find fossilize Predacon bones." Optimus said.
"Predacon bones?" Shockwave questioned.
"Yeah, it's not like Megas can bring them back to life." Ironhide said as he was still wondering why the Decepticon leader wanted fossils.
"Actually, I believe he could after all you just need a single strand of C.N.A to make a clone." Shockwave said.
The Autobots were shocked as the very idea of fighting against an army of Predacons sent shivers down their spines.
"but how would we have time to find the bones?" Mirage questioned.
"you might not need to." Shockwave said.
"Right there most likely still some museums still in one piece." Ironhide said.
"there's also the possibility that we could our apparent association with the Decepticons to our advantage." Shockwave said.
"I can't in good conscience ask you put both yourself and Soundwave in that type of danger." Optimus said.
"you're not Optimus we are voluntarily choosing to do this." Soundwave said.
"As Decepticons we had destroyed so many lives but as Autobots within Megatron's inner circle we could do great good." Shockwave said.
Optimus looks down for a moment before looking back at them.
"are you certain that this is the path that you wish to take?" He questioned.
Both waves nodded their heads.
"very well but be very careful as Megatron does not take well to spies." Optimus said.
"We will Optimus." Shockwave said.
~End of flashback~
'I'm glad that haven't figured out that I'm an Autobot spy.' Soundwave thought.
Meanwhile on Cybertron in a hidden underground lab Shockwave was working on not only finding all of the stasis pods Megatron had planted, but watching over the stasis pods Optimus and the others couldn't take with them, as well other project.
"I hope that my comrades on Earth are doing alright." he said.
"For both theirs and our sakes." Shockwave as he looks at tube that's holds a big life form.
