Note: Hey everyone. A lot of first times in this one. I got inspiration for this from the stories of one of my favorite authors, SasuNarufan13. I highly, HIGHLY recommend reading their stories.
Each of the chapters will have their own warnings and perspectives. And there will be intense moments in general. Hope you guys love this as much as I loved writing it.
Warnings: ItaDei and SasuNaru. Mostly from the perspective of the OC. Violence. Yakuza. Mpreg. Japanese phrases.
Translations: Yoroshiku onegaishimasu = Pleased to make your acquaintance. Mata ne and Jaa ne = ways of saying goodbye as Sayonara has more finality to it. Moshi moshi = Way to answer calls. Hai = 'Yes' as a response.
1: Deal With The Devils
"Hai. Fine, I promise I'll be home on time." A frown. "You don't need to resort to threats." Black eyes move over the wall of weapons. "Of course, my dear." Small chuckle. "Technically yes but I always have time for you."
Grunt from the man leaning against the door, twirling a kunai in his hand with a katana on his hip. "Sentimental pussy."
The slightly taller man gives him a pointed look and picks a dagger made in a zigzag pattern. "Oh a simple bug. Nothing of note." A soft chuckle. "If you're going to do that then use the firepit out back and not the fireplace." He turns slowly to the man sitting in the only chair in the room. "Of course, my love. Mata ne." Hangs up. "Deidara sends his regards."
"Sad he can't be here?" Slight amusement is heard in the voice.
"Not really. Fire isn't really needed for this task so he would consider it boring." He raises a brow at the distressed sound the tied-up man made. "Really now? Mere talk of fire is enough to disturb you?" He sighs and looks over the blade. "It was even said it won't be used."
The raven with spiked hair pushes off the door with a smirk. But his eyes are like ice daggers. Piercing and freezing. "This really is your own fault you know. Taking what isn't yours."
Handrid Mikio quickly speaks up. "I didn't take-." He yelps when a kunai lands right between his legs.
"Tch. Selling information with the knowledge it will end in theft." Another kunai is twirled between fingers.
"We see no difference." Both of the ravens speak as one.
Mikio shivers and his body goes cold. He had indeed known what would happen. But he'd still done it. He could no longer remember why he betrayed them and it doesn't really matter now. He had been promised protection and so much money that he could live the life he's always wanted. And then it all backfired with a simple stupid decision.
-o-
It started on a rainy day as Mikio was walking home from his job at the local bar, mixing drinks. Didn't pay well but at least it covered the bills. He heard his phone go off and considered ignoring it. He wasn't in the best mood as he had been forced to work another overtime shift. But answer it he did. "Moshi Moshi."
"Handrid Mikio." The deep voice caused a shiver to race through the man. "We have a job offer for you."
"No offense, but I prefer to know who I'm talking to."
A chuckle came through. "Very true. We are S and I."
Mikio almost dropped the phone. S and I were two of the most feared Yakuza leaders. They were supposedly brothers yet they each ran their own group, Taka and Akatsuki. No one knew their real names, but rumors were they're part of the Uchiha clan.
The Uchihas ran a wide range of businesses and not all of them legal. The two sons of the family head had decided to buy out a club and then renovate it into the Wonderland it is now. And considering their names are Itachi and Sasuke along with the rumors of their clan, it isn't that hard to make the connection. At least not for him. What Yakuza leaders were doing running a club was a mystery.
"Who?"
"Don't play dumb now. We know of your prison record and your involvement with the drug trade. To stay under the radar like this takes skill. Skill we can use. In exchange you will be rewarded."
Mikio had thought he left that life behind him. He'd made some dumb decisions, got in with the wrong crowd, and paid for it with five years of his life. "Not interested." And yet…he didn't hang up.
"We have some rats that are good at hiding and we need an exterminator. You will be offered protection from others in our world and paid more than you'll know what to do with."
Mikio swallowed hard. "I don't kill people." Of that he was definite. He may have sold shit that killed but he never did it himself.
"You will merely find them for us. We will take care of it from there."
Mikio suddenly thought of something that maybe should have been one of his first concerns. "How did you get my number or even hear about me?" Especially if he was so good at staying under the radar.
"No one hides from us." The tone was like ice causing fear to grasp Mikio for a second. "You have 24 hours to reply. Use the number logged in your phone." The line went dead.
Mikio stared at his phone for a second as he tried to process what had just happened. He was still processing it by the time he got home. And even after eating a meal that he didn't taste, taking a shower he barely thought about, and laid in bed, the conversation was still replaying itself in his mind. Could he do it? All he had to do was locate someone that had annoyed them. Then he'd get all the money he's wanted and even protection from some of his past enemies and any new ones this might bring up. But at the same time, it was obviously illegal and was he willing to risk it? What if they didn't hold up their end of the bargain? What if he went back to prison but this time for longer?
He looked around his bland bedroom and thought of his bland small apartment. He could actually live in luxury like he'd always dreamed of. He wouldn't have to worry about bills or groceries. And he'd be completely safe. With a sigh he decided he should sleep on it. No need to make a rush decision. Especially one as important as this.
The next day saw him staring at his phone. Then with a soft curse he picked it up and searched through the recent calls. He found the number and brought it up before pressing call. The phone rang once before that deep voice spoke.
"We assume you have an answer for us?"
"As long as it's only finding the guy, I'll do it." He noted the continued plural thing. Guess the brothers really did take sharing the family business seriously.
"Ah. We knew you'd agree. We will email you the time and place for us to have an in-person chat."
Before Mikio could ask how he knew his email the line went dead. His phone then informed him he had a new email. It was from a restricted address. Obviously a throwaway account. When he opened and read it he had to blink for a second. The time was simple. This Friday at 5 pm. The place was a bit shocking. It was a rather famous, yet relatively new, restaurant called Rasengan Ramen. He opened his laptop and did a bit of looking. It was owned by an Uzumaki Naruto who had made a name for himself with his amazing original recipes. He pulled up a few pictures and had to admit the food at least looked good. And when a picture of Uzumaki came up he agreed that the guy looked good himself. He had to wonder if this Uzumaki knew that 'meetings' were being held in his restaurant. Was the man involved in that world as well?
"Whatever. Guess a public place makes sense. We don't trust each other that's for sure." Guess now all he had to do was wait for the correct time. That was the hard part. The waiting.
If he had just done a tiny bit more research, he would have found his first warning.
-o-
Mikio arrived at the restaurant with only three minutes to spare. He hesitantly gave his name to the pink-haired hostess. He noticed her nametag said 'Haruno'.
She checked the list before nodding. "Welcome Handrid-san. Follow me please." She turned and led him to a table with the perfect view of the full restaurant. Sitting at it were in fact the two Uchiha brothers.
"I knew it." Mikio bowed. "Yoroshiku onegaishimasu. I am Handrid Mikio." He sat down, trying to get his confidence together.
"We are Uchiha, Itachi and Sasuke. We are pleased you could make the meeting." He was definitely the one that talked to him on the phone.
Mikio smiled as water and a wine glass was placed in front of him. The waitress poured him wine and then left. "Of course. With such a generous offer how could I refuse?" He sipped the water.
Sasuke smirked. "We suppose that's true. Though we wish to explain a bit further on what you have agreed to." His eyes were that of a predator.
A slight cold feeling filled Mikio. "…all you said was I had to find the guy."
The younger nodded. "True, but until then we wish to keep tabs on you."
Itachi sipped his own wine, eyes never leaving Mikio. "So, you will be working at Wonderland as a bartender. We hear your skills at your current job are high enough for our standards." Sasuke scoffed though, obviously not as convinced.
Mikio nodded slowly. "I guess that does make sense." And that itself would lead to a bigger paycheck. Which was definitely wanted. "I can do that."
Itachi gave a polite and charming smile. "Very good." The smile slipped and his expression was back to business. "When you perform our task, you will have an option of continuing to work for us or simply go on your way."
Sasuke's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Just remember. No one hides from us. If you try to rat us out or cheat us in any way, you will learn why smart people don't do that."
Mikio quickly nodded, somehow hiding his fear. "Of course. I don't betray."
"So we have learned. You even refused to rat out your supplier which would have lessened your time." Itachi's dark eyes were locked on him.
Mikio's eyes widened a bit, shocked they knew that bit. Guess they were right. Besides, not like that information is hard to get. He could tell this was important though. "I told him I wouldn't. And I don't betray."
Itachi gave a small smile though his eyes were still hard. "Good to hear."
Mikio cleared his throat and after he'd taken a somewhat large sip of wine he spoke. "When do I start?"
"Tomorrow. Your shift will start at 6pm."
"Be on time. We don't appreciate tardiness." Annoyance already laced Sasuke's voice. As if the mere thought of being late was sickening.
Mikio nodded. "Yes Uchiha-sama."
Both of them smirked in response. Mikio was about to say more when someone paused by their table. He looked up and found himself slightly startled at seeing Uzumaki.
"Hey! Surprised Sakura-chan didn't tell me you guys will be here." The blond grinned happily at them.
'So they do know each other.' But how well. Did Uzumaki only know these two as successful club owners? Best to go off that. Mikio noticed Sasuke's gaze locked on Naruto and saw his eyes tighten slightly. He wondered if there was some beef between them but realized if there was, then they wouldn't have come here.
"Something wrong?" Something was off with Sasuke's voice. Like he was trying to hide something and having a hard time doing it. Was it worry? Why would he worry about a restaurant owner?
Naruto made a face. "Why does something have to be wrong for me to check on my diners?"
Itachi chuckled. "Because you came straight here from your office in the back where Haruno-san most likely informed you of our arrival."
This made the blond man let out a laugh. "Damn! You're too smart Tachi. Can't hide anything from you."
Sasuke looked at Mikio pointedly. "See?"
To which Mikio nodded. 'Tachi? They must be close if he's using nicknames.'
Naruto turned to Mikio. "Hey. Guessing you guys are having some kind of meeting?"
Sasuke raised a brow and crossed his arms. "So why are you still standing here?"
Mikio was surprised to hear Naruto mutter out a "Teme."
To which Sasuke replied calmly, "Dobe."
It was strange hearing such familiarities when he knew who the Uchiha actually were. He was definitely confused but hid it. "Handrid, Mikio. I've just gotten a job as a bartender at Wonderland."
Naruto nodded. "Uzumaki, Naruto. That place is badass, you'll love it." Blue eyes moved to Sasuke. "Though it is true that I need to speak with you about something."
Sasuke sighed but stood. "Very well." He looked to Itachi. "Shouldn't be too long."
Itachi gave a soft smile. "Go ahead otouto." He watched them leave before looking to Mikio. "A warning." Dark eyes noticed the other straighten up. "Do not mess with Naruto-kun. Because no protection will be enough."
Mikio quickly bowed his head. "Understood, Uchiha-sama." He wondered now if the two are actually involved. Would make sense. Then again they could just be really close friends. Whatever. Not his problem.
Soon Sasuke came back and sat down. He seemed calmer now so it must not have been an issue with Naruto. "Tomorrow we are doing what amounts to a light show. Consider it an initiation of sorts." He smirked.
-o-
The first week, including the first day, felt a little bit like a hazing. He was told that the information of who he was supposed to find would be given only after they were positive on his loyalty. He wasn't too sure what that meant since they were the ones that searched him out.
He'd met one of the bouncers, Jugo who was definitely a large man. The hostess at the front desk when you first come in introduced herself as Karin and had a strange look to her. One that said she was sizing him up. Then the DJ Suigetsu. This man made Mikio rather uncomfortable. His smirk seemed a bit blood thirsty and his eyes spoke of a predator. He had no doubts that these three were part of Taka. He figured Taka and not Akatsuki as Sasuke gave the orders to them and not Itachi.
Speaking of Akatsuki. There were four members of that who worked in the club as well. The brothers' bodyguard, a dark-skinned man named Kisame. Mikio wondered if Suigetsu and this man were related as they gave off the same look and had the same sharp teeth. He followed the brothers everywhere which seemed to be made easier with them staying together when in the club. Except when Sasuke went with Naruto to the dance floor. Then Itachi would stay in the office.
Another bouncer was a somewhat rude man named Hidan. He was mainly used for throwing out patrons who were getting a bit too rowdy. Otherwise, he seemed happy to chill on the sidelines looking at his phone. The last two were a blond and a redhead. They were in charge of the atmosphere of the club. This included the lighting and the decorations. The theme and mood seemed to change each night. With the way they fight and taunt each other he would guess they were involved or something. But Mikio had caught the sight of Itachi pulling Deidara close for a kiss once. He was sure he wasn't supposed to see that.
So, from the looks of it, Sasuke is with Naruto and Itachi with Deidara. Not that it's any of his business of course. There were other employees, but Mikio got the feeling they weren't part of the underworld. It makes sense that not everyone is involved, he supposed.
The actual bartending was pretty much the same as his previous job. Just a bit busier and the customers are high class and polite. Even giving him tips. He started to think that maybe he'll take the offer to stay on after he's done.
-o-
The end of the week found him standing outside the office door. He got an email saying the information will finally be given. He gave only one knock before the door opened. With a deep breath he went in and sat down in front of a large desk. Large enough for both of the Uchihas to sit next to each other behind it.
The door was closed and when Mikio looked back he saw Kisame standing in front of the door.
Itachi slid a folder across the desk and Mikio looked inside. After reading the name, he gave a confused look. "Sanin Orochimaru? Wasn't he a famous surgeon? I thought he died."
Sasuke scowled. "So we've been told."
Itachi also seemed annoyed. "He was butting heads with us one too many times and could sense our patience was growing short."
Handrid could hear the anger and disgust in Sasuke's voice when he said, "He sells children on the black market and will do horrendous experiments on adolescents. Anyone who harms children should be killed without mercy."
Mikio's eyes widened. "Selling children? Performing human experiments?" That is completely fucked up. "So, he went into hiding after faking his own death?"
The elder Uchiha nodded. "Hai. And now we need to find him. And fast." Dark eyes narrowed. "Find out where he is and report back. Understand?"
Mikio stood and bowed, folder in hand. "Hai, Uchiha-sama."
"Dismissed."
After three nights of intense club work, he was finally able to do some research and found out something extremely interesting. It seemed that Orochimaru had actually controlled a rival gang, The Sound, before 'dying'. Now a Kabuto ran it. Though he already knew that part. Why? Because he's brushed up against The Sound before. During his mistake making time he had a few bad dealings with them.
"What did I get myself into?" He couldn't betray the Uchihas but if The Sound found out then he would still be in danger. "Whatever. I have protection." And with that comforting thought he continued his research. With some resources he still had he managed to confirm what Sasuke had said about Orochimaru. After one of the descriptions, he actually had to run to his bathroom to throw up.
He wanted to stop but the brothers already knew this stuff. This wouldn't make a good first report. He contacted some other people and was amazed at the speed of their replies. Rumors of both Orochimaru's location as well as facts of The Sound were given to him and put into his report. "I'm safe…right?" But he still felt a chill.
His fear became reality two days later after giving his first report with another spine-tingling call. He was on his way home after his shift at Wonderland when his phone rang. He really should have stopped answering unknown calls. "Moshi Moshi."
"This is The Sound. We know you are working for S & I. We know who they are. The Uchihas need to stop sticking their noses where they don't belong. So give us information on Sasuke's relationship with Uzumaki. In return, we will forgive all your past debts."
"And if I refuse? I have protection now."
"That protection isn't 24/7. We know where you live, your routes, your routines."
Mikio found himself with no other option than to be a double agent. So starting during his next shift, he observed the two in the club when Naruto would come. He didn't follow Sasuke and Naruto anywhere as that would be possibly the stupidest idea. He did notice how possessive Sasuke seemed to be, especially with Naruto having alcohol and others touching him. When dancing, Sasuke was usually behind him with one hand on the blonde's stomach and the other on his hip or over his heart.
After seeing this three nights in a row he decided he needs to confirm (or deny) his suspicions, so he did some more research. He ended up finding an interview that created the path to his personal doom.
-o-
"Good afternoon, everyone. We have an exciting interview for you today. Uchiha Sasuke has agreed to talk with us. And even better, he has brought along a guest. I know, surprising that the younger wants to speak but we're definitely thrilled for the opportunity." The man turns to the two sitting to the side in comfy chairs. "So, I assume there is a story here that we will be interested in knowing." He chuckles. "After all, we have been seeing you two on what seems like dates. Is that true?"
Sasuke nods. "Hai. Uzumaki Naruto and I are now in a committed relationship. I see no point in hiding it and prefer to stop any negative gossip that might arise from this."
The announcer nods with an excited smile. "Wonderful! And of course, we are happy for you. So do tell us. How did it start?"
Naruto grins and says, "Well I saw him at Wonderland the first time I went. Wasn't sure what kind of person he was, but definitely knew that he's hot."
Sasuke rolls his eyes at that but has a soft smile on his lips. Then he gives his part of it, "I came across his ramen shop. I saw him there and found his enthusiasm for life inspirational."
Naruto nods. "Yeah. So I kept going to Wonderland and he kept coming to Rasengan."
Sasuke gives him a gentle look and takes his hand. "It took us a while to realize our interest in each other, but now we're together."
-o-
"Wow. Well that answers that question." But he really needed to do more. Because it sounded like Naruto hadn't opened up his current location for the ramen shop when this interview was done. He decided to do more digging. After an hour he found an article about their announcement of Rasengan Ramen's opening event. Funded by no other than Uchiha, Sasuke.
"Makes sense. The Uchihas definitely have the money for it." But that didn't really seem like it would help The Sound. Well 'help' was probably the wrong term. He continued searching through articles and interviews and eventually discovered something very interesting.
He found an article about another interview held, where Sasuke would greatly enjoy expanding the family. "…could it be?" While uncommon there were men that could give birth. Mikio figured that Naruto was one of them because of the precautions Sasuke takes at the club and how his hand always covers Naruto's stomach during dancing.
"That's it." That is definitely what Kabuto had been looking for. He sighed and sat back in his chair. But if Orochimaru was still alive…then sending a person who can give children was like putting a stamp of approval on the horrible things that will be done. The words that Sasuke said of what he did shouted in his brain. But in the darkness, there were whispers saying, "Better them than you."
"I need sleep." This was really taking its toll on him.
The next day, he typed up his email but paused before sending. He knew this would most likely end with Naruto being kidnapped and with what he was told about Orochimaru's dealings he was hesitant. His actions made him want to vomit. But he had to. "Either way I'm fucked." He sighed. "But I have no options." If he goes to the Uchihas about it then they'll know he had been betraying them. If he refused to give the information to The Sound then he'd be dead as well. Deciding not to think on it anymore he pressed send and closed his laptop.
"I'm going to Hell for sure." He collapsed on the bed in just mental exhaustion.
The next day he was coming home from groceries. He heard sounds behind him, felt extreme pain explode through his skull, and then nothing. When he woke up he found himself in Hell much sooner than he expected.
-o-
"You will tell us what you know about The Sound and Orochimaru. Every little piece of information. If you do not give it, we will torture you for however long it takes to make you squeal. If you tell us now, we will end your life quickly." A smirk on cruel lips.
Two voices ring out as one, "Make your choice."
Twenty minutes later, both Uchihas leave the room to see Kakuzu and Hidan waiting outside. The rat accepted his fate and gave them everything. And it actually wasn't much. But they were men of their word and did one shot between his eyes. The brothers nod to the men who then go in to start the cleanup. They silently make their way out of the dungeon underneath their club. They get in their shared car, the silent driver taking them to Sasuke and Naruto's home.
"Jaa ne aniki." Sasuke gets out of the car and goes inside. After putting on his slippers, he gets himself a drink as he tries to relax. That was just pure annoyance. He looks over at footsteps, eyes gleaming at seeing his love wearing a robe and loose pants. A slight bump is visible.
Naruto smiled. "Glad you're home. Take a nice hot shower and then we can cuddle and sleep."
Sasuke sets his drink down and comes over. He places his hands on tan hips. A smirk lifts his lips. "Will you be joining me in this shower?"
Naruto grins and winks before turning and actually skipping away. "Well what else am I going to be doing?"
Sasuke lets out a low chuckle and follows him to the shower. "What else indeed?"
Note:
Hope you enjoyed this first part of The Devils! I'm very happy with this and how it's turning out. It was going to be a series but I realized it would work better as a chapter story. Which means I have a lot written out. So far I have five chapters planned. Please let me know how you like it so far! This will be the only chapter to be from an OC perspective.
