"There it is!" Cletus said as he and the others stood in front of a stadium. "Here is where the Battle Tournament is going to take place."

Our heroes have remained in Bacu City. Though Davis has yet to have his gym battle, they plan to enter Bacu City's Battle Tournament. A tournament that is held in Bacu City once every year.

"This is so awesome." Davis said. 'I know that Erik is going to be here, and this is where I plan to get some payback from before.' Davis is excited to get some battling action. Since he can't have his gym battle yet, he'll win this.

I want to be the very best

(Davis' voice): Real Battle Check

Davis and the others went on inside and got themselves registered for the tournament.

"This is so exciting. I've never competed in a real tournament before." Terra said.

"Just make sure you give it your all." Davis said.

"Hey! There you guys are!" All of them looked and saw all of Miss Bustier's class has arrived at the tournament as well.

"What are all of you doing here?" Davis asked as they were all glad to see them.

"Miss Bustier allowed us to see the tournament." Marinette said.

"I thought it would be good for them to see some real battle experience." Miss Bustier claimed. "Of course, for school purposes, they'll have to write a report on what they have witnessed.

"Even my father is allowing me to see since it's in town, for school, and I'm not really partaking in it." Adrien said.

"Oh please. I much rather watch this." Chloe said as she worked on her phone.

"Nice to see you too, Chloe." Davis said with sarcasm. "Well, all of you can see me win."

"You're still running that mouth? So uncool." Davis recognized that obnoxious voice. He turned around and saw Erik with his fan club. "You really need to chill more."

"Erik." Davis groaned.

"Is that the guy you lost to the other day? Jean's nephew?" Terra said.

"That's him, but I'm not going to lose to him again." Davis said. When all of that was mentioned, Erik thought about what happened and what his uncle said, but he refuses to accept that.

"Come on, ladies. Let's check out the stage I'm going to win on." Erik claimed as he walked away.

"Don't worry, Davis. We'll get him." Imperialdramon said.

"How nice to see you again." All of them got spooked and saw that Loki was there as well.

"Loki! It's been a long time." Davis said. "I didn't think you entering this tournament was your sort of thing."

"Even I like a good battle." Loki said. "Maybe we'll get to battle each other." He claimed as he walked away, but left an eerie feeling.

"He still gives me the creeps." Terra said.

"But at least we've got some competition." Davis said. Just then, he noticed one other that plans to compete. "Jason!" Jason noticed them, but the tension between him and Davis was strong.

"You're entering this tournament? You're time in it won't be long." Jason claimed and walked off with Davis glaring down at him.

"Who was that?" Marinette questioned.

"His name is Jason. He and Davis are intense rivals." Cletus said.

"And he can be a jerk." Terra said. This is going to be an interesting tournament.

The Battlefield

"I welcome you all for our lovely city's annual tournament. It's Bacu City's Battle Tournament! I happen to be the mayor of this wonderful city, and I will also act as Master of Ceremonies for this prestigious event!" A lot of people were excited to see this tournament with Davis and the others ready for this. "Joining me is our city's very own gym leader!" Jean came out and joined him in the stands.

"Thank you for having me." Jean said. "I'm glad I get to be a part of this. I do wish luck to all the trainers, but there can only be one winner. Mayor, care to tell me what our winner will get?"

"Of course. The winner of this tournament will received this!" The mayor called as he held up the prize it was a red jewel in the shape of a heart. "It's called the marble heart! A perfect item to win affection with your pokemon. It can be most useful for pokemon like Riolu or Woobat since they evolve through happiness."

"Wow. It sure looks lovely." Terra said.

"it's certainly an interesting piece." Cletus said.

"It's too happy and cheery for my taste." Loki claimed. "At least I'll have a chance to battle."

"I wonder if it can work on the ladies. Then again, I don't need it." Erik said.

"On top of all that, Chloe's dad seems like a nicer person than her." Terra said.

"Now, I think it's time we start the festive." The mayor said. "If you look up at the screen, you will see who will be facing who in the first round." They all looked up to the screen and saw the sixteen trainers that are going against each other. The fourth battle caught Davis' attention.

"Sweet. I'm in the fourth match, and my opponent is Erik." Davis said.

"Perfect. We'll be getting our rematch sooner than we thought."

"Seriously? You want to lose to me again?" Erik taunted.

"My match is right after yours, and I'm going up against Loki." Cletus said.

"That's fine with me." Loki said.

"No way!" Terra said as she saw who she is going up against. "I'm up against Jason in the last match? How can I already be against him?"

"Well, this should be disappointingly easy." Jason said.

"What's that suppose to mean?!" Terra said as she took some offense to it.

"So, I think it's time we let the fun and excitement. Let the tournament can begin!" The mayor announced. The tournament was beginning with the first three battles underway. First was a Palpitoad winning against a Rhyhorn. The second one had a Bisharp taking down a Zweilous. The third one finished with Centiskorch beating a Beartic.

"Its now time for the fourth match. We have Erik going up against Davis." Jean announced as the two of them came out for a battle. However, Erik was wearing a fancy gold coat.

"What are you wearing?" Davis questioned.

"You've got to dress good when you feel good. Let's get this over with. I've got a date." Erik said.

"I'm afraid you're going to be late. This won't go like last time." Davis said.

"Jean, could you tell us a bit about these two?" The mayor asked.

"Erik is my nephew, but I'm impartial. He thinks this will be easy, but let's see if it's true." Jean said. "As for Davis, he's certainly interesting for he holds a pokemon many don't know much about."

"And that's the one I'm using." Davis said.

"I'm all set." Imperialdramon said.

"You really want a repeat of last time? Fine with me. Let's go, Luxray!" Erik called as he chose his pokemon.

"Luxray!"

"Erik!" The girls of his fan club called as they loved seeing him in action.

"Wow. And I thought Adrien knew how to work a crowd." Alya said.

"We'll, I'm excited to see how Davis battles." Adrien said.

"I'm ready to go! Imperialdramon, start this battle with Brick Break!" Davis called. Imperialdramon started this battle with him charging right at Luxray.

"You sure like to look uncool. Let's get this over with. Swift!" Erik called.

"Luxray!" Luxray battled back as it unleashed a series of stars. Imperialdramon had to call off his attack and fly away.

"Now use Iron Tail!" Erik called. Luxray jumped at Imperialdramon and attacked with his tail. "This is too easy."

"This battle is far from over. Now use Focus Punch!" Davis called. Imperialdramon fought back and managed to land a strike against Luxray. "Now use Dragon Pulse!"

"Use Swift!" Erik called. Both pokemon used their attacks and they collided. "You're going to have to do better than that. Although, it will be tough to move."

"Things aren't going to work like last time. Focus Punch again!" Davis called. Imperialdramon tried to do just that, but Luxray and was in the right position.

"You'll be sitting ducks. Thunder Wave!" Erik called.

"Not this time!" Imperialdramon called as he seujg his arm back around and smashed it against Luxray before Luxray could even attack.

"What?!" Erik called as he didn't expect that.

"We knew you try that again, so we missed on purpose to put us in the right position to counter." Davis said. "Now use Dragon Pulse!" Imperialdramon unleashed the attack and blasted Luxray again with an intense attack.

"How dare you do this to my Luxray!" Erik called.

"Easy. Don't lose your cool." Davis teased.

"Now you're really bugging me! Iron Tail!" Erik called.

"Focus Punch!" Davis called. Both pokemon used their attacks and kept trying to land a strike against each other.

"Go, Davis!" Terra cheered.

"Look at both of them go. There's no doubt that they're both fierce battlers." Cletus said as others were getting into it.

"Go, Imperialdramon! Let them have it!" Davis called.

"No way! My Luxray isn't backing down to you guys!" Erik said as he was getting into it. He usually acted carefree, but he sounds rather passionate about it now. Jean saw that himself and was glad to see the change in attitude.

'Look at him out there. He tries to play it cool, but he's a passionate battler.' Jean thought. 'He was always so flashy and cared about looking good, but I always knew he had a real battling heart.'

"Luxray, let's use Swift!" Erik called. Luxray unleashed the attack, but Imperialdramon dodged the attack. "Don't lose to them, Luxray! Man, it's getting hot in this thing." He said as he ripped off his jacket.

"Something's wrong. This isn't the Erik I know." Lots of his fans were confused. They never saw him get so serious.

"I think it's time we finish this! Imperialdramon, time to use Imperial Flight!" Davis called.

"Luxray, Wild Charge!" Erik called. Both pokemon used their respective attacks. They both charged right at each other and collided just like last time. They tried to overpower the other, but Imperialdramon was the one that won that struggle and knocked Luxray right into the wall with Erik shocked at what just happened. When they all looked, they saw that Luxray was knocked out.

"Luxray is unable to battle! Victory goes to Davis!" The ref called.

"And it's done. Davis is advancing to the second round." The mayor announced.

"Luxray, are you okay?" Erik said as he tried to help Luxray. Luxray seemed to be, but they still lost the battle.

"Erik, thanks for the battle." Davis said. "Is Luxray okay?"

"I think so, but I can't believe I lost." Erik said.

"It was still a great battle, especially when you were getting into it." Davis said. "For someone that usually keeps his cool, you really got into it." Erik was a little embarrassed to admit it.

"Erik!" The ladies called.

"You were so awesome."

"You were amazing!"

"We loved you! I hope we can see you battle again!"

"Here! You might need this!" One threw him a bottle of water with him and Luxray astonished at this. He broke his little cool act and got serious, and yet they all say he still looked good.

"I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I mean, I'm just that good." Erik said.

"And that obnoxious." Davis complained. "Still? Let's do it again sometime." He said as he held out his hand for Erik. Erik shook it. What started out as bitter rivalry just turned into competitive friendship.

"That's a great way to finish this." Terra said as she loved the battle. Jason watched himself.

"Wasn't that impressive." Jason said as he didn't think Davis did good.

"That was awesome!" Nino said

"And I got some good shots." Alya said.

"Amazing." Adrien said with Marinette thinking the same thing...about Adrien.

"That was a great battle. It's now our turn, Loki." Cletus said as he was excited for a battle. Loki was... Well, he just stood there with no emotion and gave Cletus the creeps.

The Battle Tournament is underway with Davis having advance to the second round. Who else will advance? Who will win in the end? You'll have to keep watching to find out.
