Chapter 23 Xana's Master Plan (False Start) Season 1 Finale
A.N. – So, this will end the 'first' season of this story. I say it that way because it will still continue under this name and story file. The only thing that will change after this will be the story description.
Short Summary – With current Aelita free, the Lyoko Warriors look to shut down Xana and Lyoko and resume their normal lives. But during the event, A and current Aelita collapse. Jeremy must now find the link between A and current Aelita as trying to find a way to free current Aelita from Xana as he tries to eliminate them for good.

Aelita returned to the mountain sector to discuss the situation with current Aelita.
"So, where are you gonna store the fragment you stole?" Aelita asks.
"It will be on me personally. If I store it, the risk of them finding it will be too high. If I keep it, I have all the time I need to get the keys" Xana replies.
"You know they're gonna try to shut you down right?"
"They value Aelita too much to let me die."
"I'm more concerned about myself. But I better be there."
"Before you go, be prepared for a surprise."
"What kind of surprise?"
"Let's just say Jeremy isn't the only one to bring stuff from this world into the real world."
Aelita turned away with a look of suspicion. Last time this happened, he sent a clone of her to Earth. And knowing Xana, this one was going to be much worse…
Aelita returned to the campus to see how her current self was doing. "So, how is Aelita doing?"
"Well, she was a little flustered in class, but considering how she doesn't know how Earth works, we'll let it slide" Odd replies.
"The confidence will come in time. The more time she spends here, eventually she'll be like a normal teenage girl."
"Speaking of normal, I think it's time we shut down Xana. What do you say?" Yumi asks.
All of them agree and they all head off to the factory.
The six of them all land in the corridor and see Jim sleeping with a newspaper over him.
"Hey Jim!" Ulrich says which wakes up Jim. "Have a good nap?"
"Oh yeah, great. I really appreciate all you've done for me" Jim replies.
"It's the least we could do. It's because of you we have Aelita here" A tells him as she places a hand on one of her shoulders.
"So, what's going on today?"
"Want to see us deactivate Xana?" Odd asks.
"I wouldn't miss this for the world! You didn't forget your promise did you Jeremy?"
"No, I didn't. Once Xana is gone, I'll tell the principal everything" Jeremy says.
"And if he doesn't believe you?" A asks.
"We'll bring him here. What's a better way to back up our case than with a live example" Odd replies.
The seven then descend down to the supercomputer room. As the door opens, they are greeted with a dark room. It immediately lights up as the supercomputer rises from the ground. Jeremy walks up to the control panel as Aelita looks a little concerned.
"Are you okay Aelita? If you want to wait a day or two?" Jeremy asks.
"No, the sooner the better."
A didn't show concern but nervousness and anxiety was building up inside of her at what was going to happen. Jeremy pressed a button and a lever popped out.
"Xana, you gave us a lot of grief, but thanks to you, we met Aelita and A. So goodbye and good riddance." Jeremy pulled the lever, and everything went black.
Jeremy's Point of View
He pulled the lever and both Aelita and A gasped before both of them collapsed.
"Aelita and A! Turn it back on Jeremy!" Yumi commands.
Jeremy quickly reactivates the power. "What's wrong with them?"
Jim picks up Aelita as Ulrich and Odd pick-up A. "We don't know, but let's hope Xana doesn't rear his ugly head."
At this time, Xana's plan was in motion…
Aelita's Point of View
A woke up with the others surrounding her. Her mind was a blank as the last thing she remembered was Jeremy deactivating Xana. She looked to her side and saw Aelita was still out.
"Feeling better?" Jim asks.
"I think. It's still a blur" A responds.
At this time, Aelita also slowly woke up. "What happened?"
"You passed out. It's kind of like a deep sleep" Jeremy explains.
"Oh, I like the way it felt."
"Yeah, but for you and A passing out at the same time. It's not normal" Jim says.
"Yeah, Aelita I need to examine you to see what exactly happened," Jeremy tells her. "I'll do you too A to see if I can diagnose you as well."
The two were in the scanners as Jeremy began the scan. A's scan came back as completely normal. But Aelita's scan came back with a virus.
"That's just what I was afraid of" Jeremy says.
"It looks like Xana infected me with a virus!" Aelita says.
"He must've done it during the program. Whatever Xana sent inside the tower infected Aelita. Now if Xana was to be destroyed…"
"The I will be destroyed as well."
"But I wonder what Xana is trying to accomplish by doing this?" A asks, though knowing Xana's true intentions.
"I don't know, but he's definitely playing for time" Jeremy adds.
"You know, come to think of it. I do remember feeling his presence, like he took something from me as he was trying to hold me back" Aelita adds.
"So, what can we do?" Jim asks.
"Try to find an anti-virus, but who knows how long that will take" Jeremy says, knowing he just slaved away over a year trying to free Aelita.
"Well, that explains Aelita, but what about A?"
"I'm guessing it's her DNA that's stored in Lyoko. She has a permanent link to Lyoko. Looks like I gotta find a fix for her as well."
"Hold on," A said stopping before he got carried away. "Let me handle myself. You just focus on Aelita. I'll find a way to free myself."
"Okay. Let's go Aelita. I'll take you back to Yumi's."
"What about you A?" Jim asks.
"Oh, I got my own little private sanctuary."
"Where?"
"Just watch," Jeremy replied with a smile. A opened her Lyoko door and returned to the mountain sector. Jim was in complete shock. "Apparently, she has the ability to cross over from Lyoko to Earth with her Lyoko band. According to her, she and some others all got one, but finding the other members will probably be impossible as we don't know who they are or where they could be."
Aelita returned from her stay for the night in her personal villa. She ascended in the elevator and what she saw shocked her. A bunch of dead kankerlots are laying across the factory floor. She then saw Jim getting attacked by at least four of them. She finds a sharp pipe and uses it as a lance to take them all out.
"Thanks for the save" Jim says.
"What's going on?" Aelita asks.
"I don't know. I was just sleeping and then I wake up to three of these buggers. What are they?"
"Kankerlots, monsters of Xana. Apparently, Xana found a way to bring his creatures to the real world. Not only that, that means there is also an activated tower."
"That means you got to get the others."
"Not only that. If Xana is attacking you here, that means he is going after the others as well as we speak, considering he didn't already reach them."
"It's a shame that the academy is far away. You probably won't reach them in time."
"Oh, I think I will. My Lyoko band provides me another ability." She activates it and transforms into her fallen angel avatar. Jim was once again in awe. "I'm more than meets the eye." She activates her wings and flies off.
Flashback
"During this most recent attack, I figured out that while I'm in my avatar mode, I'm still vulnerable as any normal human" Aelita tells the group.
"So, even with all of our powers, we're not invincible?" Odd asks.
"Guess not. We really didn't test these much on Earth, so these attacks are like the tests that go through trial and error."
"Just try not to die. We need you to help us stop Xana" Jeremy says.
End Flashback
A tear nearly forms in Aelita's eyes. They trust her so much that she can't even imagine how they'll react if she ever betrays them. Even though she is totally against it, she can't risk destroying the future again.
Jeremy's Point of View
The group except for Yumi, was in a science class and Aelita was explaining a theory on the board like a professor. Suddenly they hear screaming and they looked to see what was happening. They see a student run and then see a kankerlot appear.
"Take cover!" Odd commands as everyone retreats into the room.
"Looks like Xana changed tactics. Instead of sending us these creatures on Lyoko, he's sending them here to us. I'd like to know how he managed to do it?" Jeremy asks.
"That doesn't matter. How do we get rid of them?"
"Like always. We fight" Ulrich says.
"We don't have Lyoko bands like A does Ulrich!"
"Lyoko bands or not, A is taking the same risks as us, even in her Lyoko avatar mode. If we don't do anything and Xana succeeds in achieving a fatality, a return won't bring them back. I'll get Yumi and we'll hold down the fort here."
A screaming student emerges as a kankerlot turns and fires. "Energy field!" A voice said as the kankerlot was immediately disabled. A then lands in front of them. "Looks like I got here in time."
"There you guys are. These monsters are everywhere!" Yumi tells them.
"How did you find us?" Ulrich asks.
"A over here found me after our class went down into lockdown mode."
"And the rest of the school will follow making everyone vulnerable" Jeremy realizes.
"You three head for the factory. Me, Ulrich, and Yumi will try to stop these monsters from taking over" A tells them. The six of them depart in different directions.
Aelita's Point of View
Aelita, Yumi, and Ulrich are in the tool shed, gearing up for the war against the kankerlots. "Are you ready?" Aelita asks.
"Ready as we'll ever be" Ulrich responds holding a chainsaw and Yumi has an axe.
There are several kankerlots outside looking for the three. "Hey, over here!" The three of them yell in unison as they all hit it.
The three of them continue fighting the kankerlots for a while, but the more they defeat, the more show up. "We'll never make it!" Ulrich exclaims.
"It's never-ending army of these nightmares!" Aelita adds.
"Bonzai!" Jim comes in like a madman firing the nail gun and destroying the kankerlots one by one. Take that, you cockroach! Yeah! Got one! Say your prayers!"
After the quick cooldown, more kankerlots emerge. "Yumi, Ulrich, assist Aelita on Lyoko!"
"What about you?" Yumi asks.
"I can't leave Jim alone! If you deactivate the tower, these monsters will all deactivate. Right now, she's our only hope!"
"You should go to! I can fight alone!" Jim tells her.
"No! A wise man once taught me you fight together as a squad. You never leave your men in battle!" Jim looks at her with confusion as it was something he would say.
With the two of them, the monsters fall but there is still a never-ending hoard of them. One of them succeeds in hitting Jim. With Aelita distracted, a kankerlot fires at her and her wings disable, and she hits the ground hard, almost knocking her out. She eyes a kankerlot in the sensor. "You said I'm an enemy. So, finish me off!" The kankerlot prepares a killing shot, but suddenly disables. "We did it Jim."
"No, your friends did it. One more thing, who told you that line?" Jim asks.
"You did."
Jim smiles as the return in time happens.
Aelita headed back to campus to help the warriors deal with Jim. She would question Xana later on the attack. She headed into the dormitory to see them saved by Delmas as he was about to fire Jim again. "Hold on there! I'm here to see these four. Mr. Morales here was supposed to escort them to me, but I guess he overstepped his position. Please forgive him for this outburst." Aelita gave him a wink to tell him to play along.
"Is this true Jim?" Mr. Delmas asks.
"Uh, yes Mr. Delmas. I'm sorry" Jim responds.
"Ok, I'll overlook it this time. Once your done dealing with Ms uh" Mr. Delmas said not who she was.
"Schaffer. Ms. Schaffer."
"Yes. Once your done with Ms. Schaffer, head off to class." Mr. Delmas walks away.
The Lyoko Warriors depart, and Jim turns towards Aelita. "Why did you save me?"
"Because you'd do it for us. You're a hero Jimbo!" She gives him another wink as she walks away.
"A hero huh?"
Aelita returned to Lyoko, with only one question. "How'd you do it?"
"Jeremy's rematerialization program was stored in the tower files. So, I activated the tower and accessed what was stored and then reverse engineered it for my monsters," Xana responded. "Oh, and one more thing, don't taunt me again. Cause next time, I won't hesitate to kill you!"
Aelita entered her home, and she had another picture in hand. She placed it next to the others. It was one of the pictures she and Jeremy took after her materialization. She was forever grateful to Jeremy for what he did and will do. But now it was time for her current self to reexperience a human life all over again.
A.N. – And thus ends the first season. This story will go on a two-week hiatus as I am going on vacation and to give a little break before the start of the mystery season. So, don't expect a chapter next week and I will return in two weeks. As always, till next time! See ya! -lyokowarrior97
