Chapter 52 Multiple Problems (Triple Trouble & Double Trouble)
A.N. – This chapter is one that sets up the finale for season 3. Nothing too big, it just paves the way. So, let's get started.
Short Summary – After Jeremy implements a new power for Odd, it immediately malfunctions and creates two extra Odds. The group must now find a way to reunite Odd as Xana plans to freeze them permanently.
Short Summary – Jeremy desperately tries to find a way to materialize into sector five, while Xana aims to destroy the mountain sector before he succeeds.

The group is on Lyoko on another Xana attack mission. Odd is trying to destroy monsters but can't for some reason. The monsters then turn to go after her. The Scyphozoa immediately appears and tries to grab Aelita. She avoids it as A comes in. She lands in front of Aelita. "Not today Xana."
Ulrich comes in and slices the tentacles to get it to go away. "Or ever for a matter of fact!" Ulrich adds. Aelita then runs to deactivate the tower.
Everyone rematerializes in the scanner room discussing the previous mission as well as records. To them, fighting Xana's monsters was now a game or competition. "A, how many monster did you wipe out?" Aelita asks her older self.
"I don't do numbers. Don't forget that we still have to save Lyoko and the world from Xana. If he wins, your high and low scores will mean nothing. You'll just be trophies who lost a battle if you keep treating your missions like this" A reminds them.
"Wow, no need to go doom and gloom" Yumi says.
"Well unlike some of you, I'd rather not lose Lyoko. Unless you want the world to follow. My mission ain't complete yet and if you want to suffer in the future, so be it." She activates her Lyoko door to return to her home, which was luckily in the mountain sector. If it were any other, it would be gone by now. But main reason for her departure, she was done with all this nonsense.
A was back in her home and had a few hours to cool off when Jeremy contacted her. "Hey A, I know you don't want to talk about earlier, but I created a new power for Odd to help in his combat. Do you want to assist Aelita in watching the trail run?"
"I guess so. As long as the competitors don't come" A responds.
"No, just Aelita, you, and Odd."
A exited her home and headed to the testing area. She stood next to her younger self. "You cool, from earlier?" Aelita asked.
"Yeah. Sorry about that. But Xana is too dangerous to treat like a video game."
"I understand. I'd probably do the same if I saw your future."
They saw Odd perform the first teleport from his new power teleportation. But what they saw on the other side where Odd was, was something that shouldn't be there.
"Uh oh, it looks like something bugged up" Jeremy comments.
"Do you know what you're doing Jeremy? First Ulrich, now Odd" A comments on a string of failures Jeremy has unintentionally caused without Xana interference.
"What's wrong? Did I do something wrong?" Odd asks. "How about I do it again?"
"That probably wouldn't be the best idea" A says, but Odd does it anyway. He reappears close to the two girls.
"Yoo hoo. What's wrong? Not happy to see me?" Odd asks.
"Yes, but one of you is enough. Look up there" Aelita says, pointing to an Odd on top of the mountain.
"And over there" A says pointing to where Odd virtualized.
"Unlike Ulrich, this is only a minor bug. I'll rematerialize you" Jeremy says. A is back in her home waiting for an update on Odd. "A, we got a slight problem here."
"Xana attacking?"
"More like we got three Odd's."
"You managed to rematerialize all three of them?"
"I didn't know at the time. I guess when Odd was originally rematerialized it also affected his two clones."
"Is there a way to fuse him into one?"
"Yeah, but I need time to find it and knowing Xana it probably won't be long till he rears his ugly head."
"Then get to it then. The more you talk to me the closer of Xana's next attack nears." Jeremy cuts communications and starts working on Odd's recovery.
It's been a while since Jeremy's last communication, but A was contacted by him after he found a solution. "A, I found a solution to fuse Odd. All three of him need to be virtualized at the same time."
"But?"
"His three entities are unstable. He could disappear at any time with no trace." He pauses for a moment. "Oh and it looks like Xana is attacking."
"Perfect timing. Where are the three Odds?"
"From what I understand, one is at school, in the forest, and in town."
"And not knowing what Xana's attack is makes this more dangerous. I'm sure without a doubt, he is targeting one of the Odds."
"Right, and if he is able to stop us from fusing him, he'll disappear for good."
"I'm heading to the forest. Odd's the one who needs help this time."
A activates her Lyoko door and returns to the real world. A sees Odd running by. "Odd, do you know where your two yous are?" A asks.
"One of me is here at school" Odd responds.
"Jeremy said the second one is in town. I'll find him. Meet you at the factory."
A and Odd run off in different directions.
A walks through town and she comes up to a magazine stand. "Excuse me, did you happen to see a boy in a purple shirt and pants with blond hair?"
"Yeah, and he started reading a magazine like it was a library" the man responded.
"Like this one?" A says pointing.
"Yeah."
She grabs it and opens it. "Surfer Zombie 4. Sounds like Odd."
"Not you too! Are you gonna pay?"
"No, and I was just browsing which you should let people do before pestering them about paying" A responds before running off.
She spots the second Odd walking, humming to himself. A grabs his shoulder. "Can't I have two minutes to myself?"
"You had a lot more than that and if you have anymore, you'll disappear forever. Jeremy needs you and the two other at the lab quickly to fuse you into one." A and him return to the factory just in time to avoid Xana's smoke trap. "What's with the smoke?"
"Xana's using to petrify us. Better move it" Ulrich says as everyone enters the elevator and eventually the scanner room.
"We're okay Jeremy. The Della Robbia family has been reunited" Yumi reports. Jeremy virtualizes all three. "You're not going?"
"Let's let Odd have this one."
A few minutes pass and suddenly a return to the past is launched, signaling Odd had a comeback and Aelita deactivated the tower.
A was in her home, having a serious look on her face, with her eyes closed. She knew after today they would never do the stats again, but Xana was still making ground and she knew soon she would have to abandon this home and prepare for the toughest part of her mission. She took one last look as the next attack would be the last for the mountain sector.
Double Trouble
Everybody is gathered in the lab, discussing news going on with their lives in which was not good. Ulrich's grades continue to slip, Yumi is facing expulsion, and Jeremy has yet to find a way to virtualize into sector five. "This can't go on much longer. It's getting harder to keep up with our schoolwork and fight against Xana" Jeremy comments.
"Xana is determined to destroy the mountain sector. He doesn't care about who he affects in his wake" A comments.
"The question is now; how do we settle Yumi's issue?" Odd asks.
"Stay away from Lyoko. She can't risk getting expelled. We can't lose a fighter" Aelita replies.
"Can you imagine my parents reaction if I get expelled. I think that's a safe bet" Yumi replies.
"Well, I'll continue to work on trying to send you to sector five. That is the only thing that can give us an advantage" Jeremy says as the group retunes and A heads back to Lyoko.
A was relaxing as she gets a call from Jeremy. "A, please tell me you're there?" Jeremy asks.
"Why wouldn't I be?" She replies.
"Xana created a clone of me. We fought in the factory, and he tried to drown me. I thought Xana would try to manipulate you or try to destroy you."
"That means Aelita, Ulrich, and Odd are in danger. I'll try to locate the tower." A exits here bubble and searches through the sector.
"A, we got a serious issue. Yumi can't come and we really need her help" Jeremy asks.
"I got an idea, but I yet to find the activated tower."
"Don't worry about it. Just focus on getting her there."
A exited from Lyoko and went to retrieve her laptop. After a while she arrived at the dark room. "A what are you doing here?" Yumi asked quietly.
"Getting you out" A replied as she opened up her laptop. "William, I've got this program that can replicate people's voices. Yumi speak into the microphone."
"What do I say?" Yumi says.
"That's all. Just needed you voice recorded. William, if Jim gets suspicious, just speak into the microphone and it will replay in Yumi's voice. Let's go."
A and Yumi find Odd a little woozy, but mostly okay. "Jeremy, we found Odd. We'll try to get Ulrich and Aelita as well."
"So, what does Jeremy's evil clone look like?" Yumi asks in the elevator as her, A, Odd, and Aelita descend down to the lab.
"Just like Einstein, except with muscles and much scarier" Odd replies. The door opens ad Jeremy looks over his shoulder.
"Where's Ulrich?" He asks.
"He'll be here as soon as he's finished with his test" Aelita replies.
"We'll have to make do without him for now. Get down to the scanners."
As the others arrive in the scanner room, Odd was unsure of the Jeremy in the lab. A held back as the others virtualized, but she was able to hear the evil in Jeremy's voice. She immediately climbed up. She saw the Jeremy clone shocking the keyboard. She knocked him out for a while and got on the microphone.
"Guys, can I get a status update?" A asks.
"We're bugged up. Can you fix us?" Yumi asks.
"I can," A replies but Xana Jeremy gets up. "But I got a personal problem to deal with first."
"You sure have become a nuisance ever since I escaped from the supercomputer" Xana says to her.
"And you haven't? Don't try to act like the angel you aren't."
"Maybe you should teel your friends that they should accept their fate. With my power still increasing and having no way to stop it, you're all doomed."
Xana Jeremy is suddenly hit from behind by Ulrich. "The only one doomed is you. I've brought a friend." Jeremy stands behind Ulrich.
"The others need you on Lyoko." Jeremy rushes over and starts to repair the damage his clone did.
Xana and Ulrich are fighting, but Xana knocks Ulrich into a wall with his electricity. "Brave, but foolish."
A comes in from behind and grabs him. "Sometimes his bravery creates windows" A says.
Xana grabs her and flips her over his head. "You're simple fighting tactics won't work on me." Ulrich gets up and tackles him.
"Maybe hers won't, but mine will."
"I beg to differ." Xana then shocks Ulrich. He stops focusing on Ulrich and goes to Jeremy when A comes in.
"Think fast!" A says as she tackles Xana.
"You still want to annoy me! Fine then suffer!" He grabs her neck and starts to strangle her. Ulrich tries to help her but is knocked down by electricity. Suddenly the clone disappears and A falls to the ground. Ulrich goes to her side.
"A! A, are you still there!? Answer me!" Ulrich calls out.
She coughs a little before getting some air in her lungs. "It's gonna take more than that to put me down."
"All that remains of Lyoko now is sector 5, and with no code, Xana is free to attack the core whenever" Jeremy says.
"Pull up your program," A asks. Jeremy does so and A types something, modifying it. "Test this."
"It works, but how-"
"I'm from the future. I knew you would succeed, but I was ready to help if needed."
"I guess the fight against Xana continues" Ulrich comments.
"He's not rid of us yet" Jeremy replies.
"I guess since I don't have a room, I'll be crashing with one of you guys for a while" A says.
"And who is that gonna be?" Odd asks.
"I was thinking about being with Jeremy."
"I guess I'll be okay with that. I do need the rest. Since we now have a way into sector five, I could use a good night's rest."
Later that night, A wasn't sleeping but Jeremy was fast asleep. "I'm sorry Jeremy for what's about to happen. But I want everyone to be happy, even if that means I have to suffer."
