Chapter 56 A Rising Star (Opening Act)
A.N. – So, nothing changes this much and for most of the chapters this season. Just know, that when the A scenes begin in Lyoko, like when William appeared in season 4, the Earth scenes will be limited unless there is something that needs to be seen.
Short Summary – Aelita tries to live a normal life, while A and Xana try to use this to their advantage.

Aelita's Point of View
Aelita was at the table reading a section of the Kadic News, much like everybody else, when Yumi arrives. "Hi everybody! She greets them, smiling.
"Hi Yumi" Jeremy greets back.
"What's up?" William says.
"You mean to tell me there's actual real news in the Kadic News this time?" Yumi says, realizing everyone has a copy.
"Don't tell me you haven't heard!" Odd exclaims to her. Ulrich hands her his paper.
"Scoop of the year, blah, blah, blah, Chris coming to Kadic, blah, blah, blah, too amazing…wait, as in Chris from the-"
"The Subdigitals" William finishes for her.
"The drummer, and he'll be at Kadic today!" Odd adds.
"Hey you guys, cool it. Sounds like a phony scoop" Yumi says.
"Yeah, it sure does. Just another one of Milly and Tamiya's dumb stories" Jeremy says.
"Well, it could be for real. It seems that Chris is coming here to visit his uncle" Aelita tells them.
"Huh? You mean Chris has an uncle who works here?" Yumi says with interest.
"I wonder who that can be?"
"You too Aelita? How can you believe that stuff?" Jeremy asks her.
Later on in the day, Chris arrives, and everyone is there to see the current star drummer of the famous band. Mr. Delmas is the first to welcome him. "My dear Chris," Mr. Delmas begins. "On behalf of the entire staff and student body of Kadic Academy, I would like to wish you a very warm welcome." The students all cheer. "The floor is all yours."
Chris smiles at the crowd. "Good morning everyone and thank you all for this enthusiasm. As I guess all of you know, I came here to visit my uncle. But there's another reason as well. The Subdigitals have decided to do a school tour to discover new talent and to develop that talent by giving you guys a chance to be the opening act at our next concert!" The group all turn to each other as the crowd cheers. "And thanks to the kind authorization of your principal, we've organized an audition for this afternoon in your gymnasium!"
After the announcement, Aelita goes into her room to find her remix from the night she'd DJed at the school. A never mentioned this, but her best guess was she didn't want to spoil the surprise or something else. She dumps out a box and finds her CD. "There you are!" She grabs it and as about to leave when she is stopped by Jeremy. "Jeremy, it's you."
"Yeah, I was thinking since Delmas cancelled classes for today, we can make headway on our ship to search for Xana and A on the web," Jeremy explains. Aelita stutters as she tries to find a good excuse to leave but can't. Jeremy glances down and sees the CD in her hand. "Oh Aelita, don't tell me you thinking of going to that thing? I know you want to see what the rest of your life is like, but if we can defeat Xana faster, you can ask A all about it."
"Alright, I won't go" Aelita admits defeat, but she really wanted to try to have a slice of a normal life without Xana and Lyoko.
As Jeremy rambles on about the difference between Lyoko, the digital sea, and the world wide web, Aelita keeps thinking about the audition. She also imagines what being a rising star would be like at a concert, even if she's not on tour with them. Jeremy says something that snaps her out of it. "Aelita, are you listening?"
"Huh? Oh, sorry, could you say that again?" Aelita asks.
"Oh, nevermind." Jeremy goes back to rambling and Aelita goes back to fantasizing. She doesn't know how long she stays like that, but she eventually comes back. "Are you okay Aelita?"
"Something wrong?"
"You know what, if you wanna go, you can. I think I know what the problem is."
"Great thanks! I'm off!"
Aelita rushes to the gym but finds no one there, but the equipment is still set up. She gets up on stage and prepares. "Might as well get a quick mix in. Won't matter now." She starts playing and she leaves quickly before anyone could see her.
A's Point of View
A was back on Earth. Even though she was tied to the digital sea, she still had free access to Earth through her Lyoko band. She also modified it to take her to the volcano replica as well. "Hey there miss. What can I get ya?" The man behind a glass asked.
"Have you started selling the tickets for the upcoming Subdigitals concert in a few months?" A asks.
"Yes. They're a hot seller, but we got a couple left. The band wanted us to hold onto a couple incase they find that rising star they're looking for."
"They'll find one. I know it."
"I'm not sure. They're talking that if they go through with this concert with no new talent, this will be their last."
"That won't happen. How many tickets do you have left?"
"We got about 10."
"Just one general admission for me then." A gets a ticket to Aelita's upcoming concert, but this also gave her an idea for the attack that was soon to unfold.
Aelita's Point of View
Aelita was at the vending machines, still thinking about the opportunity that passed her by. She had no one to blame and didn't want to blame Jeremy either. She knew that finding A and Xana could lead to a quicker end and beginning of a normal life, but she also wanted to have a bit normality every then and now. "You guys want a scoop?" Milly says as she and Tamiya approach the group.
"Chris finally found the opening act he was looking for" Tamiya adds.
"I knew it! Fame, fortune, and glory are all mine now!" Odd cheers.
"Forget about it. No one knows who it is, not even Chris!" Milly states.
"What? But how can that be? I didn't stop repeating my name!"
"No, it happened after the auditions. All he did was hear the music. He didn't see the DJ" Tamiya adds.
Aelita perks up at this.
"I don't believe it!" Odd says, disappointed.
"He went to see the principal to see if he could find the Cinderella, whoever he or she is," Milly informs them as Aelita runs past them.
She couldn't believe it. She still had a chance at this. She saw Chris outside and pulled out her CD. "Chris!" Aelita shouts. "I was looking for you. I wanted to give you this to you-"
He grabs Aelita's wrist. Aelita drops the CD as she struggles. His sunglasses flash with the sign of Xana. He shocks Aelita unconscious, and her vision goes black.
Aelita awakes to find herself not on Earth but on the forest sector of Lyoko. "What am I doing here?" She asks as a few krabs approach her. She tries to fight back, but misses. Suddenly a gush of wind passes by her, knocking her down. She looks to see A land slowly. "A…"
"That right. I'm A…a big problem for you" A responds as her wings disappear.
A's Point of View
A approaches Aelita. She fires an orb at her which A uses her saber she forged from the last fight to slice it. "Since when did you have a weapon?" Aelita asks.
"Since last time I fought you guys. I need more than my bare hands to defeat you all," A responds. Suddenly two fan flay in and a dodges both. "Ah, our favorite Japanese girl, Yumi."
"Japanese, yes. Favorite, I will be after I defeat you" Yumi responds.
"Fire!" A commands as the krabs fire at Yumi. She then notices Aelita leaving. "After her!" They stop firing and chase after Aelita.
"Hey A!" Yumi throws both her fans which makes A get off balance and can't counter Yumi. "You're better outnumbered, but when your 1v1 it must be harder."
"Outnumbered or not, I'm still the better fighter," A responds a little irritated by Yumi's last combo. Yumi takes off in a run. "You can't escape from me Yumi!" A says as she activates her wings. Yumi eventually stops and A lands. Yumi throws both her fans. She misses and tries to use her telekinesis to bring them back. "Oh no you don't!" She fires an energy field at her to stop her ability. Yumi's body flashes pink after being hit.
"Yumi, watch out! That was a fifty life point hit you just took!" Jeremy warns her.
"Those energy fields of hers are really dangerous!" Yumi says as she gets up. She notices a lake and runs towards it. A follows close behind. Yumi gets on top of a log and trips as A looks down on her.
"Like I said, outnumbered or not, I'm still the better fighter" A says as she devirtualizes Yumi with her saber.
Ulrich then shows up. "If you're trying to salvage a friendship with Yumi, blowing her away probably ain't the best option."
"Aww, what's wrong? Sad that I blew away your girlfriend?" A asks tauntingly.
"She's not my girlfriend."
"Right, she's just your best friend." A throws her saber at Ulrich which he block, but still puts him on his back.
Ulrich quickly gets up and gets on top of a log as A recovers her saber. She gets on top of the log as well. The two lock sabers and a struggle happens between the two. "You know nothing A!"
"Get real! You taught me everything you know!" She pushes Ulrich back and tries to defeat him as he's not ready. He avoids luckily, but A kicks him off the log. A tries to slash him, but Ulrich blocks with his sabers crossed. Ulrich is able to push the saber away enough for him to escape.
"Pretty nasty trick I taught ya."
"Oh, that was only half the move. Everything else was me. Manta!"
A flying manta comes in from behind Ulrich cornering him. A approaches Ulrich as he defends against the manta. The manta is suddenly destroyed due to Odd. After this the tower deactivates.
"I'm still game if you are."
"We'll settle this another day." A backflips into the digital sea.
Aelita's Point of View
Aelita was back in Jeremy's room after the attack ended. "Well, Xana's attack gave us another day to work on our virtual sub" Jeremy says.
"Right" Aelita responds as a knock is heard and Chris comes in.
"I'm looking for Aelita Stones" he asks.
"Uh, that's me."
"I just listened to your demo, and I would like to hear it live."
"Uh, are you sure. I don't think I can-"
"Go on, it's an opportunity you can't pass" Jeremy encourages her.
"Alright, let's go. By the way, how did you get my CD?"
"Oh, one of your friends gave it to me" Chris tells her.
Ulrich's Point of View
Ulrich was with the others, but still hearing A's words ringing through his head. He has always had feelings for Yumi, even after the 'breakup.' He wondered about his own future.
"Are you alright?" Yumi asks. "You been quiet since the return."
"Just thinking. A taunted me with our relationship, like romantically" Ulrich responds.
"So, your thinking if there is still a chance?"
"Basically. She knows things we don't, but what about us?"
She leans in. "I want us to work, but we have to figure out how to deal with our issues before we can make things a go."
"Such as?"
"The reasons why we ended it before."
A.N. – Reason for why William wasn't on Lyoko, I decided he was in the lab helping Chris and Jim deal with Xana's specter. He will still appear, but I don't know when. Also, Yumi and Ulrich's developing relationship, maybe? The reasons are the ones Yumi gave in Episode 53 Straight to Heart. PM me with story ideas! Review with questions or comments! I will respond!
