(all of chapter 4 is backstory covering parts of arcellious's life, nothing fancy)
Arcellious leans back in his chair as he starts off his story. "So back when I was about ten… i had met my longtime friend and listener stern. And he had met me when it was like recess. He came over to me and asked me for my name and when I told him I remember him saying it was an odd sounding name. But I tried ignoring him but noticed he wouldn't go away so I asked him what he needed. And then he told me he heard about star hope and was wondering if i knew anything about it. So I told him that I did and that my grandpa owns the place. He got really excited and asked if we could be friends so he could get in. Now I'm ten at this point. I wasn't living in a safe household. I was living with my grandmother who was very abusive at that time. And with my older sister gone and her doing her first year, i didn't exactly have anyone outside from my family i could go to and trust. So I took a chance with him and never regretted it since.
Then a few years pass and Rachael gets done with her four years and tags so she can stay home and help out Jane and shield her from our abusive grandmother while I go to school. And Kurenai told me this earlier today. She told me that Rachael had told her 'don't worry my younger brother is coming'. And as soon as I got there I was immediately flexing, acting superior than everyone else because my grandpa was the chancellor. I didn't know any better and did what I wanted. And I also got in trouble quite a lot. That sucked but it's because i was a spoiled brat actually trying to develop social skills i was lacking because i didn't exactly have many friends.
So one day the following year and i remember this very well… i was at the card shop with stern. And I had printed off a few fake free packet coupons to try and cheat the system a little. The guy noticed they were fake instantly and tried arguing with me. Kurenai came in and heard the commotion and knew i was up to no good and brought me and stern to grandpas office and explained the situation. As a result of this, me and stern were demoted to bronze dorm as a result of our actions.
So we got into our room and we were arguing or whatever and the door opens and we saw our friend Kurt for the first time and he told us he was assigned to our dorm. We asked him a few questions got to know him a little. He said he collects cards, draws, and even had some of the drawings he did turned into actual cards. And he also said the only reason he was here at the school was to collect cards. We also found out he was really good with computers and I immediately saw huge opportunities in the event of something going wrong.
Keep in mind this is like when i'm roughly about fourteen. So Kurenai back at that time was a little hell bent determined to get me in trouble for breaking the rules and coming up with ways to get me expelled. But she did tell me that that was because of how much of a pain i was. I didn't know that back then i learned that earlier today. Anyway… so back at that time we actually went into Kurenai's office and we planted a bug inside her office top middle drawer right next to the keyhole, mic was super sensitive.
So we got in trouble for some trespassing rule i don't remember what the rule was but... Grandpa had brought us in and before we did I told Kurt to standby. We saw the allegations that were against me and stern and Kurt had hacked the system so he was listening in the entire time. And on cue he played the audio… that we had recorded of Kurenai planning her scheme or whatever and we were let off the hook. And grandpa was going to fire her because of this. So I told Kurt 'send grandpa a fake email from the school board saying to suspend her instead'.
So as a result of that, Kurt was able to show me how to hack which I never used to change my grades by the way. He showed me a lot about computers as a result" Arcellious said and looked at his computer screen. "Princess of Atlantis J.S. donated five dollars and asked 'how did you get the millennium eye?'.
