A Week After Anya and Oran Started School

Loid was standing on top of a rooftop at night, looking through some binoculars at a warehouse. "Hmm, it's certainly taking them a long time to switch guards…" He mused, pulling down his binoculars.

He was unaware of a figure approaching him from behind, pulling out some familiar looking blades.

"May I have the honor of taking your life…"

The figure raised their arm up in the air. Loid shifted his eyes as he pulled out his gun as he turned around and aimed his gun at the figure, only for both of them to stare at each other in shock.

"Loid/Yor?!"

A few moments passed by with them frozen in shock before Yor put her blades away. "Oh gods, Loid… it's only you. What are you doing here? I could have killed you!"

"I'm here on a mission." He explained. "It seems that during Robotnik's whole invasion, a bunch of important intel about huntsmen and their locations were stolen. So ever since, I've been running all over Vale to get their stolen intel back."

He pulled out a map of Vale with the locations that he had visited being crossed out.

"What about you?" He asked, which Yor responded having a sheepish look on her face.

"Ah, well… this is awkward. You see, I have also been sent all over Vale to find these people, but instead I had to take them out. Rumor has it that someone is trying to take out a good portion of huntsmen in Vale. But now I realize that you've been making my job a lot easier."

"How so?"

"Well, you taking the intel got everyone in a frenzy and caused them to lose focus, which made them easy pickings for me."

"I see." Loid nodded as he started to think.

"Something on your mind?"

"I'm just wondering if you'd be okay with it if we worked together on this mission? Our goals do align after all. And what you mentioned does align with some rumors I heard about some unknown party trying to strike a blow to the huntsmen in Vale."

"I wouldn't mind that at all. I'd love… er, I mean I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of working together." Yor agreed, a faint blush appearing on her face.

Both of them waited, and when the moment the guard yawned and went inside the building, the two looked at each other and with a nod, the two of them jumped off the rooftop.

BGM: It's Finn McMissile! (Cars 2) (Start at 3:08)

The moment they went inside, the both of them turned their heads with a trusting nod and they split up, with Yor grabbing the guard from the shadows, covering his mouth and slitting his throat. She tossed him into the corner and hid in the shadows once more.

A goon walked by, lighting a cigarette in his mouth as Yor grabbed him by the ankles and pulled him in. "Wha?! Waaaaaah!" He pulled out his gun, but Yor was faster, shoving her blade into his throat. She even grabbed the cigarette and shoved it into his clothing, where it slowly started to burn.

She then jumped on a few beams, analyzing what two other goons were doing as they were playing poker cards. She threw one of her blades into one's ear, which in turn caused blood to come out.

"Huh?!" The other goon wondered as Yor landed on the table, using her semblance to manipulate the blood from the other's ear and wrapped it around the other goon's neck, acting like a rope as the goon struggled to grab his gun.

At that moment, the blood turned spiky and impaled his throat, making him keel over. Yor then manipulated the blood like a whip and swung it around, flicking her wrist and smacking an oblivious man's drink out of his hand.

"Huh? HEY!" He yelled, only to get lashed across the face as he was knocked down, then the blood whip turned into a sword which she promptly impaled him in the chest.

The blood sword turned back into liquid, leaving behind a massive blood splatter on the ground as Yor quickly disappeared back into the shadows to deal with the other thugs.

Loid, meanwhile, made his way to the main office while Yor was having her way with the goons. He took a brief glance at Yor using her semblance, which made his blood run cold. Ooof, glad I'm on her side… '

He opened the door and saw the case for the intel on the desk. He immediately walked over and put his hand on it, but then the door was kicked open.

"Don't think even think about it, you bastard!"

Loid shifted his eyes, quickly pulling out his gun and shooting at three goons, but they swiftly dodged the bullets, forcing Loid to take cover behind the desk. I see they've been trained to dodge the bullets…

Bullets flew everywhere as Loid came out of cover to shoot them while taking cover. He quickly took down two thugs, leaving one remaining. He immediately got out to shoot him, only to get shot in the shoulder.

"Nnngh!" He grunted, where he dropped his gun as a bullet nearly hit him in the head if it wasn't for his quick thinking, just barely grazing his ear.

"Heh, looks like I got you." The thug smirked. "This next one is going straight your skull. Any last word- HNNNNGH!" He grunted, feeling something sharp strike his spine as he shifted his eyes to see Yor impaling him from behind.

As blood poured out, she used her semblance to make a sharp weapon and cut through his neck, severing his head as he fell to the ground.

"Everyone's taken care of."

Yor knelt down and removed the bullets from the other two goons as well as removing the casing, putting them in her pocket as she walked over to Loid. "Don't want you to get in trouble." She winked.

She picked him up. "Come on, I'll patch you up at my house."

"Okay." Loid nodded as they walked out together, with Loid noticing a corpse currently burning. "Why is that body on fire?"

"Oh, you know what they say… "Smoking kills"." Yor casually said.

"Fair enough." He chuckled.

Later, at Yor's home…

"Nnngh…!" Loid winced.

"Hold still." Yor insisted as she removed the bullet from his shoulder, then applied some ointment into his wound before wrapping in bandages. "There we go."

"I hadn't noticed this before, but… your eyes are really pretty up close."

"Oh really~?" Yor giggled. "So do yours, you big hunk~"

"Has anyone ever told you that you look gorgeous?"

"I've been told many times, but from you? It sounds genuine~"

Loid chuckled with a smile as did Yor, both of them looking into each other's eyes before they slowly leaned in, closing their eyes as Yor brushed back some bangs, both of their lips just inches from each other…

"Hey mom, are you back already…"

Both froze as they quickly both sat up, Yor getting off of him with blushes on their faces as Chelsea walked in with a stretch and in her pajamas, yawning. "Hmm?" Chelsea noticed the bandages on Loid's shoulder. "Oh, rough night, Mr. Forger?"

"You don't know the half of it."

"Well, I see you two are busy. I'll leave you two to it." She turned around and quickly walked away from them, while also having a knowing smile on her face.

"Yeah, I better get going as well. I'd hate to cut things short, but traveling to Patch usually takes a bit."

"Why not get one of your relatives to come pick you up?"

"They're probably in bed already, I don't want to wake them up." Loid got up, getting ready to leave.

"Um, Loid… wait!" Yor called out. "I was thinking… we hadn't had much time to go on any outings together since ancient Hyrule. Would you be willing to go on another one tomorrow night or just at some point tomorrow?"

Loid smiled. "I'd love to, Yor. It's a date. I'll pick you up here tomorrow."

He then left the safehouse through the backdoor, leaving Yor standing in the living room as his words finally settled into her, causing her eyes to widen and her face turning red with steam coming out of her ears.

"Did he say… da-da-da… DATE…?!" She exclaimed before fainting on the spot, her eyes replaced by hearts with a smile on her face.

The next morning…

Kokoro poked Yor on the cheek. "Mom? Mooooom?" She called out to her. "...Too much chocolate milk last night?"

"Nah, I'm thinking some late night chicken pot pie as a snack." Chelsea said, hovering over her.

Yor opened her eyes. "Oh… must've dozed off…" She said as she sat up, wincing. "Ooof… why do I feel so stiff?"

She looked down. "Why was I sleeping on the floor…?" She wondered before it dawned on her. "Oh, that's right, Loid asked me out on a date…"

She started to blush again. "He asked me out… he asked me out! Oh crap!"

She immediately ran into her room, desperately looking into her closet. "Oh, what do I wear! What do I wear! I haven't a thing to wear for a cute guy like him! Oooooh, why does he have to dress all nice when he's out on a job!"

"Why not just wear your Thorn Princess outfit?" Chelsea asked. "It looks nice on you."

"Thanks sweetie, but that's not "date night" material."

"...Oh, right. Duh." Chelsea chuckled.

"Do I wear something skimpy… do I wear something modest? Auuuugh!" Yor groaned, sitting on her bed with a sigh, looking at her closet deep in thought as Chelsea and Kokoro sat next to her.

"Kinda tricky, isn't it?"

"I hadn't even thought of dating ever since my husband was killed five years ago… along with the rest of Night Raid." She mumbled. "I guess it would be time to put myself out back into the dating market again… considering Loid asked me."

"Dating market?" Kokoro quietly mouthed while Chelsea snickered at the idea.

"Do any of you have any clothes I could borrow?"

"I wear casual clothing on my dates with Cardin all the time. If anything, just go casual." Chelsea said. "Of course, I did dress nice when we went to that fancy restaurant a week ago…"

"Masaru was still new to the dating game so he wore a suit and tie on our date while I wore something casual. We were just going to the park." Kokoro giggled. "He felt so awkward feeling overdressed, it was kinda cute."

"Ooooh, but I don't know where he's taking me!" Yor said. "Mmmm…"

"I heard they opened up a Coconut Mall in Vale a week ago." Chelsea said. "Granted, it's not as big in Toad Town, but it's a start."

"Let me take one more look in my closet…" Yor said as she pushed some shirts around. "No… no… wait, I thought I put this one in the wash? No… oh!"

She found what she was looking for and went into the bathroom where the girls heard the shower kick on.

The girls shrugged and went back into the living room, where Chelsea started texting Cardin while Kokoro started to write some music.

Ten minutes later…

"Okay, how does this sound?" Kokoro asked, showing her some lyrics she wrote.

"Hmmm…" Chelsea read what she wrote, humming the lyrics. "I like it, but I think it needs a little more oomph."

"Thank you! I was thinking it was sounding a bit dull…"

"Mrow." Yukina purred as she was getting ear scratches on Chelsea's lap.

At that moment, they heard the door open up as they looked to see her wear a pale yellow blouse with white stripes and some skinny jeans, along with a pearl necklace. "So, how do I look?"

"Gorgeous!" Chelsea complimented with a smile.

"Very casual!" Kokoro smiled.

"Mrow!" Yukina meowed in approval.

"Aww, thank you~!" Yor smiled as she happily kissed them on the foreheads, including Yukina while also scratching her ears.

At that moment, Yor's scroll vibrated as she picked it up and saw it was Loid texting her.

"You look nice."

Yor raised an eyebrow in confusion, tilting her head.

"Thank you…? How can you even see me?"

"Back door."

Yor turned her head, seeing Loid's head peeking out of the window from the door, giving her a wave.

Oh gosh, he's early! My hair's still drying! She thought as she opened up the door, seeing Loid was wearing casual clothing as well. "Hey Loid, come in! …Just one sec!" She took off running where everyone heard the blow dryer from the bathroom.

"You're a bit early!" Yor said from the closed door.

"Well, you did say at "some point" and I had nothing better to do."

From inside the bathroom, Yor blushed sheepishly. Crap, I DID say that, didn't I?

"Ha ha! Yeah, I did, didn't I? Guess we have the whole day to ourselves, yeah?"

"Yup. Oh, and I brought Anya along too."

"Hi Ms Neves~!" Anya called out.

"Oh! Anya!" Yor smiled as she finished blow drying her hair and walked in, happily waving at the Faunus.

"She wanted to tag along." Loid chuckled. "Now, you be good with Yor's daughters, okay?"

"Okay~!" Anya smiled.

"So, where to first?" Loid asked Yor.

"Well… you can't take me bowling… I'm banned from the bowling alley." Yor said.

Loid raised an eyebrow. "How are you banned from the bowling alley?"

"Well…"

Earlier…

Yor picked up the ball and walked forward, aiming the ball at the pins and tossed it into the lane… which somehow caused the ball to pick up intense speed before slamming into the pins, causing a bowling pin explosion that sent pieces of pins flying everywhere, including pieces of the bowling ball itself.

"...Ooops." Yor grimaced as Chelsea and Kokoro looked on in horror while several bowlers turned to Yor aghast before slowly backing away.

In the present…

"It was even a light toss too…" Yor said.

Loid sweatdropped. "Oh…"

"Hmmm…" Anya folded her arms.

In Anya's imagination…

Yor held the Wii Remote in her hand, Wii strap attached to her wrist as she moved back and thrusted forward, sending the ball sailing through the lane… but at the same time, the Wii strap snapped off and slammed into the TV.

"Ack!" Yor yelped as Loid winced.

*Bowling Pins falling!*

"NICE THROW!"

"Oh hey, I got a strike!" Yor smiled.

Back in reality…

Best not to play Wii Sports with her… Anya grimaced.

"I'm sure we can figure it out as we go along." Loid said.

"Okay." Yor smiled.

The two of them walked out.

"Oh! If Maki drops by, tell her I said "hi"!" Yor said to them as they walked out the backdoor, closing it behind them.

"Well, guess we have the whole day to ourselves." Chelsea said.

"Hmmm…" Anya folded her arms. "Stay here or spy on those two?"

"Spying? I dunno about that…" Kokoro said.

"Hmm… that sounds like fun." Chelsea smiled. "Mom's been off her dating game for a while, so why not see how she handles things?"

"Can't we just give them some privacy?" Kokoro asked, but then realized that Chelsea and Anya had mischievous looks in their eyes, causing her to sweatdropped. "Aaaand I'm outvoted, aren't I? Well, at least there's Yukina-"

Yukina jumped up on Chelsea's head, also having a mischievous look.

"You too?! Awww…"

Anya and Chelsea took Kokoro's wrists. "Come on, let's go see how they do!" Chelsea said, literally dragging her by the heels.

"Do I have a say in this…?" Kokoro asked.

"Mrow!"

"...Traitor."

Stop #1: Miniature Golfing

"Open twenty four seven? I'll be darned…" Loid said as he and Yor went inside, where the trio moved around and hid themselves in a bush just outside the area.

The three of them peeked out of the bush. "Hope her golfing skills are good." Anya said as they watched as Yor went up first… and whacked the ball hard enough for it bounce off the walls before going airborne, knocking down a bird that nearly landed on the three.

"Ooops!" Yor grimaced.

Loid laughed. "It's not like actual golfing. Here, I'll show you."

He hovered over Yor, wrapping his arms around her, teaching her to swing it gently as the ball rolled over into the hole.

Yor gasped. "I did it~! Hole in one~!"

"Technically, a birdie."

"...Oh. Right." Yor giggled sheepishly.

"Oh, that's adorable." Kokoro smiled.

"So, who are we spying on?"

"Ack/Mrow!" The quad yelped as they saw Kokichi had casually inserted himself in the bush.

"Kokichi? The hell you doing, dude?" Chelsea asked.

"That's what I'm wanting to know." A voice said as Shuichi poked his head into the bush as well.

"Well, papa is out on a date with Ms. Neves, so we're keeping an eye on them." Anya explained.

"No way! Aunt Yor put herself back into the market? AND Loid picked her up? Hell of a first pick!" Kokichi said.

"...Don't say it like that." Shuichi sighed.

"Shouldn't you two be busy being cops?" Chelsea asked.

"It's our day off."

"Ah… and how's Uncle Yuri doing?"

"He's doing well! He's busy with a project he's working on, but he wouldn't say what it is."

With Yuri…

"Has anyone ever told you that your glasses make you more mysterious~?"

Glynda gave him a "You gotta be kidding me" look. I'm so getting Oz back for this… I kept telling him I wasn't interested in dating.

"You're… not my type."

Yuri's whole body turned white with his mouth jawdropped in disbelief.

First it's General Esdeath who said she's dating a man named Sephiroth and now I'm rejected by this wonderful lady? I'm never getting a woman! He thought as tears streamed down his cheeks.

"Although, I suppose I could give you a chance…"

"Really?!"

"Just one."

Back with them…

"I don't know why, but I feel like dad's heart just shattered." Shuichi said.

"You know what we need? Disguises!" Kokichi said.

"Oooh! Total espionage, I love it~!" Anya's eyes sparkled as Kokichi pulled out several sunglasses and white single-use face masks. Surprisingly, there was one fitting for Yukina as well.

"I can't believe there's a size for cats…" Chelsea said.

"Mrow!" Yukina purred.

"I work in mysterious ways~" Kokichi said proudly.

The group watched on as Yor and Loid golfed throughout the nine courses, laughing and having a good time… though Yor had accidentally putted too hard one time that bounced a ball into the blades of a windmill that caused it to spin rapidly before falling off… but at the same time, the ball fell and bounced into the hole.

"Hole in one~!" Yor's eyes glimmering while Loid scratched his head with a chuckle over the now destroyed windmill.

Stop #2: Lunch

"I've heard about this restaurant I've always wanted to go to, but never got around to it." Yor explained as they were walking.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, I think it's called Castor Steak and Pasta. A popular five star restaurant."

"Oh! I think I've heard of that place."

"Come on, let's go find it."

The two walked around, both of them chatting and laughing while the others hid behind street poles or alleyways, where they'd notice the two nearly holding hands.

"Holding hands in public? How incredibly lewd…" Kokichi chuckled.

"Only to you." Shuichi rolled his eyes.

The young couple found the restaurant as they walked in, and then the waitress took them to their seats.

Once the waitress returned, she spotted the group. "Eh…? Aren't you a little young to be dining here without an adult?"

Kokichi immediately walked forward, pulling out a fifty Lien bill. "Buy yourself something pretty with this, hot stuff."

"Oh good grief." Shuichi groaned.

The waitress shifted her eyes both ways and stuffed it in her pocket. "Right this way."

"...How did that even work?" Kokoro whispered in surprise.

"Nishishishi~ I have my ways~!"

"Ne she she…?" Anya tilted her head.

The group sat a few tables down from where Yor and Loid were sitting, the girls backs were turned as Yor's back was turned to them.

"They didn't see us, did they?" Anya asked.

"Nope, they seem to be blissfully unaware." Shuichi said.

"Oh, that reminds me… I came to this restaurant last week." Anya said.

"What can I get you… for…?" A waiter blinked at the group. "...Is this some kind of cult?"

"No-"

"Yes." Kokichi interrupted his bro. "But it's an exclusive club up to five people."

The waiter sweatdropped while Shuichi mentally groaned. "I sure meet the weirdos in this job…" He mumbled as he took their orders and walked off.

"Anyway, you were saying?" Chelsea spoke up.

"Ah, right! You see-"

"Anya?"

Anya flinched in shock. "Hweh?!" She turned to see Emile standing there, while holding a tray of drinks. Emile?! She started to sweat nervously. "A-Anya? Wh-who's Anya…? I don't know anyone with that name…! Hahaha~..."

Emile gave her a deadpanned look. We've known each other for one week and she's probably the worst liar on the planet… "Anya, you can hide your face, but you can't hide your pink hair and horn accessories from anyone."

Crud! Anya mentally cursed.

"Oh, these one of your school friends?" Chelsea asked.

"Yeah, this is Emile. Emile, this is Kokichi, Shuichi, Chelsea and Kokoro, though her friends call her Kokoron-"

Emile gasped in shock. "Chelsea and Kokoro from Sea5ons?! Oh, I'm such a huge fa-"

"Shhhhh!" Anya shushed him. "Papa is on a date with an attractive lady and we're spying on them!"

"Oh! Okay, yeah… my lips are sealed." He nodded while Chelsea and Kokoro grabbed some napkins and wrote their names on it before handing it to him. "Thank you!"

"We'd do a photo op, but too risky." Chelsea said with Emile nodding, then he walked off.

"Anyway, where was I… oh right! Team DABEE came here after school for a celebratory dinner after I passed my Light Music Club audition. Emile had our food on the house because his mother owns and manages this place. Emile helps out from time to time."

"Ah, so volunteer work… I was worried there were some child labor laws being broken." Shuichi said.

"Eh, start 'em young. It'd be good for-" Shuichi slugged his shoulder. "Yowch!"

"Here are your orders." The waiter said, handing them their food and drinks, then walked off.

"Uuuuh…" Anya stared at her meal, which was Filet Mignon since it sounded fancily delicious to her. "...What is this, steak for ants?"

"I know a secret to make it bigger." Kokichi said.

"Oh?"

"I made a trip to the Mushroom Kingdom recently-" Kokichi pulled out a Super Mushroom and slammed it into the filet mignon, causing it to get bigger.

"Oooooh~!" Anya drooled as she happily dug in.

"I guess that works." Chelsea snickered.

One lunch later…

"Oh gosh… I'm so full…" Anya said before she immediately passed out, conking out on Chelsea's shoulder.

At that moment, Loid and Yor got finished chatting after they finished their meal and walked off after Loid paid for it.

Once Chelsea paid for it, Shuichi gave the napping Anya a piggyback ride as they tailed after the couple.

Stop #3: Arcade

"Zzzzz…" Anya snoozed as everyone played at a game cabinet while keeping an eye on Loid and Yor who were playing some skeeball.

Yor tossed a ball into the target, which dropped into the hundred marker. Yor's eyes sparkled in delight as she grabbed a few more and scored perfect hundreds.

"Wow, you're a natural." Loid complimented, but then immediately flinched when Yor pulled more out and had three skeeballs each in both hands between her fingers.

She's on a high! He thought as Yor threw the skeeballs all at once… and going into the hundred marker.

"ERROR! ERROR!"

The machine broke down… and spat out tons of tickets that buried the couple from head to toe.

"Wish I was that lucky…" Chelsea mumbled.

"Zzzz… wha…? Five alarm breakfast burrito…? Ten alarm chocolate fudge sundae explosion?" Anya mumbled before conking out again. "Zzzzz…"

Yor picked up the tickets with Loid, both of them laughing as they made their way to the ticket booth, with a young lady looking absolutely dumbfounded by the amount of tickets.

Yor walked out of the arcade with a five foot long teddy bear and several grocery bags filled with goodies. The both of them made their way to the Neves safehouse to store them all into Yor's room.

Stop #4: Ice Cream in Toad Town

Detour for the spies: Paratroopa Karaoke

"Wait, why are we coming over here?" Kokichi wondered.

"Because I feel like doing some karoke." Kokoro said. "Besides, not much you can do in an ice cream shop, especially Susie's."

"She's not wrong." Shuichi said as they paid for a room and walked in.

"Hmm…" Anya mused, hearing a song play as a demo. She pulled out a peanut-shaped guitar and started playing, humming along as everyone looked at her in amazement.

By the time Anya finished her guitar solo, she looked at her captivated audience. "Oh! Sorry, couldn't help myself." She giggled.

"Whoa…" Kokichi said in awe. "You managed to make a near perfect rendition of the song right off the bat despite having just heard it for the first time! What's your secret?"

Anya giggled again. "Well, when I was practicing for my audition for the Light Music Club at my school last week, Ibuki-sensei told me that I have this super cool ability called "perfect pitch"!"

"Perfect pitch?" Kokichi curiously asked.

Kokoro smiled. "It's a very rare ability wherein a musician can correctly identify and perfectly recreate any musical note by make just by hearing it, without reference to other notes. From what I heard, only one in ten thousand possess this."

"Yup, yup~! And I just so happen to he part of the small percentage~!"

Chelsea sweatdropped. "I, uh… still don't quite follow…"

"In short, Anya here can easily learn a song and sing a note on cue just by hearing it." Shuichi explained in simpler terms.

"Ooooh." Both nodded in understanding.

Later, back with the couple…

Loid walked up to the back door with Yor. "Thank you for this, I had such a great time!" Yor smiled.

"You're welcome." Loid smiled, both of them hugged right after, then looked into their eyes, closing their eyes and kissed.

Yor pulled away, blushing. "See you around~" She said and walked inside as Loid waved, a soft blush on his face as he walked away as well.

"About time." A voice said in the living room, where Yor noticed Maki drinking some tea with a knowing smile.

"Hey Maki… where are the others?"

"Oh, probably hanging with the band or something." Maki shrugged.

"Or spying on us." Yor giggled. "So sweet of them to keep an eye on us~" She said as she went into her room in a daze, where Maki heard dorky squealing and giggling.

Maki chuckled. "Cute couple."

End BGM

Back with the "spies"...

"Hey, aren't we forgetting something?" Shuichi wondered.

"If we forgot something, it probably wasn't important." Kokichi said, humming to the girl's singing to their hearts content.

Shuichi chuckled. "Yeah, you're probably right."
