"Leo, lunchtime!"

A soft monotone voice startles me.

I jump down from my cat tree and start digging in the food. Hm..salmon, my favorite.

_Good boy, you behave okay? I will be back soon - she gives me a few strokes before walking out the door.

My owner is home most of the time. When she does go outside, she usually comes home between my meal times. She is a decent human being I would say. She takes good care of my house and me. But sometimes, twice to be exact, she missed my meal times, and when she came home covered in blood, I thought I would have to go back to the orphanage.

Besides spending time outside, my owner spends most of her time at home with me. She likes hugging and playing with me. But I'm not.

I don't think she has a lot of friends. I know for sure she has one. She occasionally brought home another human. He is tall, his hair is white, it looks super soft like my perfect fur, his eyelashes are also white, and he has the most beautiful pair of icy blue eyes like jewels. I want to claw them out to play but he is like another cat, quick and always out of my reach.

Whenever he comes over, my fate is to stay in the living room. I don't like staying in the living room. I like the closet and under-the-bed area. I'm not sure what they are doing in the bedroom but they laugh all the time. Those times are also rare occasions when I hear her laugh. My owner is rather stoic and stiff. I guess that human makes my owner happy. Maybe I should spy on him, making sure that he only has my owner as his mate.

_I'm home - my owner pushes the front door to my apartment. It's 9:30 PM. Damn, she almost misses my dinner time.

_Meow - I greet her.

_Meow - I ask for dinner.

_Hi Leo - oh, the other human is here too. But I don't care, I want my dinner.

_Meow~~

_So impatient, here - she gives me my dinner before disappearing into the bedroom with the other human.

Midnight, I hear a rattle before the front door explodes. Ten shadows barge in. The noises are so loud that they can burst my eardrums any moment but I think those shadows won't be able to find me. I hide so well.

_Leo, come here - my owner calls for me from the bedroom door, I hesitate. She calls again, wearing an expression I have never seen before. So I run as fast as I can into her arms. I can see the other human still in bed. He seems relaxed and is lying on my part of the bed.

_Meow~~~ - I protest silently.

_Run, Kira, run - he smiles devilish at us - but I will find you. That's a promise.

_Fuck you, Satoru - my owner curses at him before hugging me and jumping out of the window.

_Boss - I can hear voices back at my house. Eh, something wet just hit me.

Great, it is raining. What a day.
