Lugging his backpack, whose colour he'd changed to magenta and green from the original yellow, Izuku looked back at his mom and Tsukasa as they saw him off for the entrance ceremony.

Izuku was wearing the standard UA Hero course uniform, with his tie loose- he learned to tie a tie, since Tsukasa was kinda anal about it- and his blazer unbuttoned. He considered not tucking his shirt in, but decided that that was improper.

"Guess I'm off!" He smiled. There was nothing more to say. Tsukasa had demonstrated what it meant to be a Destroyer of Worlds to Inko and Toshi rather emphatically… by showing both of them the fates of two of the many worlds Izuku was involved in- one which Izuku was forced to destroy and one which Izuku saved. Neither were particularly strong… for Izuku or Tsukasa. Either would've been a hell of a struggle for Toshinori in his peak to survive in.

Which is why it's kinda natural that Inko would simply smile and respond with "Blow their socks off, honey!"

He smiled, nodded, and turned to head out.

Later, at the UA building, he reached the huge entrance to class 1-A, and it was there, where he met Ochaco. They'd agreed to meet up in front of the classroom on the first day, since they'd both made Class 1-A.

"Izuku-san!" Ochaco called out on seeing him as she approached. "I'm glad you made it! Let's be good to each other for the next 3 years!"

"Of course! Let's work hard together!" Izuku answered, subtly noticing the yellow caterpillar and opening the huge sliding doors. At this point, he really should've known. Tenya Iida had very obviously taken offence to Katsuki Bakugou- he didn't blame the blue-haired kid. Bakugo was simply being an ass.

The two made their way to their seats- Ochaco to No. 6 and Izuku to No. 18. They waved at each other, then sat, facing forward. Good for them, since the yellow caterpillar slunk up to the front door, which it then opened. Once at the teacher's podium, the caterpillar molted , revealing a man dressed in black. The class was silent. It took 5 seconds for silence to prevail.

"It took 5 seconds for all of you to notice me at the podium and settle down. How irrational…" Was the man in black's introduction. He wore black, but had white tape and a pair of yellow goggles on his neck and shoulders. He was scraggly, looked like a hobo, tall and thin. He gazed across the classroom with thinly veiled disgust.

"I'm your homeroom teacher, Shouta Aizawa. You'll find your standard issue UA training suits inside your desks, so head to the changing rooms and after changing, head to the PE ground. I'll be waiting." Saying so, he left.

Izuku immediately stood up, found his training suit, and moved, ignoring the silence that fell at the teacher's words. Given she had the best rapport with him, Ochaco followed him. A black-haired and voluptuous girl, who had her hair in a twisty and spiky ponytail named Momo Yaoyorozu, along with a boy with white and red hair on either side of his head named Shouto Todoroki, followed suit after a moment's confusion.

The mad scramble that followed suit was enough to delay the rest further.

Izuku reached first. Inwardly, he smiled at seeing Eraserhead for the first time as a student- his time helping the Naruhata Vigilantes aside. When the rest caught up, Aizawa looked around and then said "We're having a Quirk Appraisal test." Once the students registered their surprise (Izuku just mimed, he expected this), he proceeded to explain his reasoning.

"The government hasn't yet gathered data for quirk-based physical fitness tests- the Ministry of Education's procrastinating the legalization of such tests, as bureaucrats often do." Turning to Bakugo "You had the second-most villain points in the entrance test, right, Bakugo? What was your softball throw record?"

"67 metres." Came the quietly arrogant reply. "Alright, do the same, but go ahead and use your quirk this time." So Bakugo stood on the indicated spot, then he got ready, and at Aizawa's signal, he threw it, but not before adding an explosion to it (Plus the customary death threat… which had many students stupefied). The result… "Know your max limit, and you'll know your foundation." Aizawa grumbled, holding up a terminal that showed the throw to be 705.2 metres long.

Izuku simply decided to go full physical- his body's base form was powerful enough that he was going to outpace everyone else without any quirk anyway. The rest just started talking among themselves… and then one of them made the easy error- "This is going to be fun!" A pink-skinned and haired girl named Mina Ashido, who had two horns, exclaimed, earning the subsequent enmity of all other students present, since…

"Well, let's make this interesting, then…" Aizawa, hearing that, responds, with an evil grin. "Whomever places last in the total score of all 8 tests, will be judged to be without potential and expelled." Izuku smiled, not worried in the least, despite knowing that it was a serious threat.

And so the tests began. Everyone was desperate to not finish last, and so they all went their best. Izuku held back for two other main reasons- one was to show his current physical prowess, and the other was to not demoralize his classmates- he wasn't doing Bakugo's job, after all.

First up was the 50m dash. The average time of the class was 5.79 s. Standouts from this were Tenya and Bakugou, at 3.04 s and 4.13 s respectively. Izuku? He took 2 s flat.

Next was grip strength. A boy named Mezo Shouji- who was tall, had masked his mouth, and had multiple arms, stood out with 540 kg as the result. Izuku straight-up broke the machine.

For the standing long jump, Bakugou and a French-like blonde Japanese boy called Yuga Aoyama used their quirks to clear the standard long jump sandbox. Izuku landed twice the length away from it. Without actually trying. Not that the rest knew it, though.

Fourth up- repeated side-steps. Minoru Mineta, a short creepy boy went ahead and used his balls-for-hair to bounce about it. He managed 97 full reps in 30 seconds. Izuku hit 97 full reps 5 seconds into the beginning of his turn.

Next was the softball throw, where Bakugou was exempt as he was the demo piece. Ochaco and Momo stood out, hitting infinity (Zero Gravity is kinda awesome) and 2 km (Cannonball!) respectively.

As Izuku wound up his ball throw, he felt, rather than saw Earserhead activate his quirk… and smiled. Then he threw the softball and it landed at around 3-4 kilometers away… UA is fucking huge. Then he turned around and smiled at Aizawa. "Sir, I'd like to inform you that as a Mutant-type quirk user, your quirk doesn't affect me. However, in the interest of full disclosure, I will inform you that I was indeed going through these tests quirkless."

"Kid, you really shouldn't lie to me, your registry says your quirk is an Emitter-type." Aizawa deadpans in response.

"Any Villain worth their salt can hack that kinda info at any time. Of course I'd lie on it to keep it secret just in case." was Izuku's retort. Needless to say, he got stares… "My body fitness must be really high- nigh-superhuman, really- for me to use my quirk effectively. I wish I could say I'm as lucky as Todoroki-kun over there, though, in that I didn't actually need to train my body to manifest my quirk- what 4-year-old focuses on fitness?" Izuku explained. While it is true that the element mastery quirk required fitness as a function, he conveniently left out the fact that he modified the quirk to actually require as much fitness as stated… and that he was already fit enough to manifest the quirk at 7.

"I'm too tired for this, so here's a second chance. Use your damn quirk on this test at least, or you're joining the last place, kid." Aizawa bluntly states, as he throws Izuku another ball. Izuku eye-smiled, not at all happy with his erratic ways.

"Kindly do not try to intimidate me with that promise, I'm not in the least scared of it. You expelling your entire previous batch of students made the news last year, and you're what, about 3 years in as a teacher? Please. I've been given threats that were less cute, and I learned under a sadist." Izuku's eyes turned animalistic. Tsukasa was a training sadist. Izuku enjoyed that fact thoroughly. Inko had simply shut down and watched in horror as they trained once (she was curious). She later said they will not talk about it, and that she pities anyone who'd go against either of them- going so far as to pray for their swift deaths.

"Regardless, you wanna see me use my quirk? I'll show you, then." And with that, Izuku lightly tossed the ball up and it stayed at chest-level. As he spread his arms, the ball moved to be about 167 cm away from him. Then it traced a circular path around him, picking up speed rapidly. He started a countdown from 10. As the number started lowering, the speed picked up, at 7, the ball became a blurry ring around had started picking up as it moved around the path.

Then the ring tilted to be at 55 degrees angle of elevation from the ground. As the ball kept speeding up, Izuku grinned, showing teeth, and at 5, held his hand up.

4… he put a finger down. At this point, there was a shrill sound coming from the ball.

3… A girl with earphone jacks for earlobes, Kyoka Jirou, asked Momo for earplugs.

2… Momo, frantic, made her a pair of sturdy heavy-duty headphones with active noise cancellation.

1… Everyone else plugged their ears.

0… and with his hand lowering, he had launch. Given that the building behind had all their windows shattered from the 10 condensed sonic booms, the slight earthquake was not entirely unexpected. The ball disappeared. Aizawa, shell-shocked, looked at his terminal… to see ANOTHER infinity symbol.

"Escape velocity. That's the bare minimum achieved when I use my quirk with any trace of seriousness." Izuku concluded rather casually. The fact that he said that while smiling at everyone… scared them all.

As much as Bakugo wanted to demand answers, he had to hold his temper in since he knew at that point that Aizawa wouldn't hesitate to expel him for it.

Naturally, Aizawa decided he wasn't poking this sleeping tiger again. Which meant that the rest of the tests went on… though the other students were now demoralized… much to Izuku's dismay.

Distance run was up after that. Izuku outlasted Tenya on his cruise gear. Back to doing it without using his quirk. He smiled at the end as well, breathing normally. The rest were too exhausted to do more than recover their energy.

Seated toe-touch… Izuku bent through his own legs while standing. No one else tried challenging him. Aizawa decided that the device wouldn't measure his flexibility anyway.

Sit-ups… Bakugo hit 58 in 30 seconds. Izuku hit the same number in 10 seconds.

And in the end, everyone was gathered near the softball throw area.

"Right, I guess it's time for the ranking announcement… Here you go." Aizawa grumbled as he showed the rankings.

The list was as follows.

Izuku Midoriya

Momo Yaoyorozu

Shoto Todoroki

Katsuki Bakugo

Tenya Iida

Fumikage Tokoyami

Tsuyu Asui

Mezo Shoji

Mashirao Ojirou

Ochaco Uraraka

Rikido Sato

Eijirou Kirishima

Mina Ashido

Hanta Sero

Denki Kaminari

Kyoka Jiro

Yuga Aoyama

Toru Hagakure

Koji Koda

Minoru Mineta

Everyone except Izuku looked at Mineta with pity.

"Well, normally, I'd say that Mineta has potential and that I was using a rational deception… but since I was exposed on the latter, and I did do a background check on all of you… Minoru Mineta, you are officially expelled from UA Academy. Please note that you will not be allowed to enter the other departments, owing to the number of sexual harassment claims that were made in your name. Age becomes irrelevant if the number of claims is beyond reasonable, after all… you reached that threshold after the entrance exams, so you escaped notice earlier." Aizawa proceeded to comment.

Everyone who'd been looking at Mineta with pity immediately apologized internally for pitying him. Naturally, he was ugly-crying.

And with that, the day ended for class 1-A.
