Chapter 2: Investigating the orphanage
It was a rainy day in the greed ring as a bus stopped at a sidewalk as Moxxie and Millie dressed in there raincoats and rainboots on there assignment heading to the Orphanage for any clues about Olivers whereabouts as Asmodus closed his manor home away from all visitors due to his missing daughter. As Moxxie pulled a umbrella over Millie to keep her dry as she checked a map for the orphanage "here we go if we take a short cut through the Greed ring zoo we can get there fast" said Moxxie as they came to the entrance to the open park zoo as it was dark as the sea and the exit far away as Millie had a weird feeling "Maybe we should go the other way" said Millie "It should be fine Millie I am sure there is a exit somewhere if we keep going forward" said Moxxie as he walked forward. "You wait here I'll be back" he said as he stepped into the darkness for a few moment as it was silent…
Then the roar of a lion was heard as Moxxie yelled as he ran back as he tripped and fell with a splash "Are you ok Moxxie?" Asked Millie as he straightened himself up "Sooo how does three blocks down and four blocks over sound like?" Asked Moxxie as Millie smiled as they walked on "So what did you do to wake him up?" She asked "Oh nothing he is just a grumpy old lion" he said sheepishly as he opened his umbrella to allow himself and Millie safety from the rain "Well I guess when you wake one up in the middle of the night" she said playfully as Moxxie blushed cutely.
It took a few minutes as they made it to the orphanage as they hoped it was still opened as Millie knocked on the door as it opened revealing a winged cat like sinner named Husk opening the door "Can I help you two?" Asked Husk "Hello there, my name is Moxxie and this is Millie we are from the rescue aid society, we contacted you today about a little boy named Oliver?" Asked Moxxie "Yes I know who you are, my name is Husk a assistant here come here I'll take you where Oliver slept" he said taking them to a large room filled with beds as he came and got a box filled with items "This is where all the little boys slept, the poor boy, were holding his things until further notice" said Husk.
"Oh how sad, the poor boy, do you know what happened to him?" Asked Millie "I do and I dont know if the police will believe me, the poor boy has been kidnapped" he said sitting down on Olivers bed with the box of toys as Moxxie and Millie got a couple of chairs "It was not easy for Oliver, he was born deaf and lost his horns in a accident that took the lives of his mom and dad and older sister it wasn't easy for the poor boy." Said Husk as he remembered a talk he had with the little imp boy
Flashback a year ago
It shows Husk walking into the boys dormitory as he saw a 5 year old imp boy with short white hair and broken horns dressed in a purple stripped shirt and red shorts hugging a good luck bear care bear with wings as he was tearing up as Husk sat next to him
'What's wrong Oliver?' Signed Husk as Oliver signed 'Nothing ' signed Oliver looking away 'Come on now, you cant hide anything from me, now tell me what is wrong?' He signed as he gently held Olivers hand as Oliver looked up 'well it was adoption day today and a couple came in and looked at me, at first I thought they were going to adopt me, but they chose a little boy next to me, he wasn't broken like me' Oliver signed a sad look on his face as he felt Husk pet him. 'Oh Oliver you know its not true, you are handsome and also very special' signed Husk as Oliver shook his head in disbelief 'No I'm not' Oliver signed as he got up and looked out a open window as Husk walked up to him and gently pat his shoulder 'someday a kind and understanding couple is going to come in and are going to be looking for a very handsome, kind and gentle little boy like you' signed Dusk as Oliver perked up "Re-ally" he said slowly as Husk nodded 'I promise little one but you have to believe in it and keep hold of faith' signed Husk as a little blue bellbird was outside 'you see that little blue bird?' Asked Husk as Oliver nodded 'Faith is like a little blue bird, you see it from afar, its for real and as sure as the first evening star on earth' signed Husk as Oliver looked up through the clouds of greed a glimmering star showing it was night in hell as Husk signed 'you cant touch it, buy it or wrap it in a bow, but its there the same making things turn out right' he signed as Oliver picked up Good luck bear 'I hope whoever adopts me will adopt Good Luck bear' signed Oliver as he hugged it close a gift from his sister whom he will always miss and love as Husk smiled 'oh I am sure, since he dosent eat much' signed Husk as Oliver giggled "Thanks Husk" he carefully said as Husk gave him a hug 'your welcome young one, now come on, we better get down stairs its almost time for dinner' he signed as Oliver followed the cat sinner feeling full of hope.
Husks voice: and when Little Mockingbird visited he never felt more happy at a chance for a happy life
It then shows a Mockingbird or Mi to her buddies as she was walking with her papa Frizzaroli who was getting goodies in greed as she saw Oliver playing alone with Good Luck bear in the play area as she walked over and gestured for the little imp boy to come over to play and talk to her as it shows her visiting the orphanage to play with Oliver as they got close much to Husks happyness as it shows Mi on Olivers bed signing to Oliver.
'I will ask my papas to take you in, you are so sweet and your eyes are so adorable when you look at my papa Frizzaroli perform' signed MI 'will they like me?' Asked Oliver 'of course, you are so sweet and cute and adorable who would love such a sweet imp like you' signed Mi as she and Oliver hugged each other.
End flashback
He was happy at the prospect of being adopted by Asmodus and Frizzaroli but the next day after that after doing grocery shopping Oliver was gone" finished Husk and then there were rumors that Mockingbird was kidnapped as well "what about the police? Are they looking for them?" Asked Moxxie "For Oliver…I am afraid they gave up weeks ago, but Mockingbird, oddly Asmodus gave the order to withdraw the police from looking for his daughter, which is weird as Asmodus see her as a precious treasure, but that is why I am happy since none of you give up" said Husk. "Poor children…but it dosent make sense that Oliver would run away, the same with Mi, Husk wasn't there anything else? Anything about either Mi or Oliver before they disapeared?" Asked Millie as Husk hummed but got an idea.
"Well…no they are to smart not to trust strangers…but no they wouldn't have gotten involved with her" said Husk "With who?" Asked Moxxie "Well, there was a imp that looks like you *Points at Moxxie* but with a gold tooth and dressed like a mobster *Cue Moxxie having a clenched chest* and a sinner dressed in some over sized diving suit that looked like a fish kin mixed with a imp named " said Husk " ? One of the Celestial dragons? I thought they lost all there wealth and prestige after they were banished to hell for there wickedness, or at least the lower class after Jesus, Charlie and Elena used there powers to slay the elders?" Asked Millie "Due to isolation I dont know if it was a Celestial dragon, but I do know she runs a pawn shop" said Husk as Moxxie and Millie shared a look of concern "Do you thin this had anything to do with Mi and Olivers disapearance?" Asked Millie "Only one thing to do, we have to go down there and investigate" said Moxxie 'and hope that he really isnt connected to this whole disaster' though Moxxie "Then good luck, please save them both" said Husk as the two nodded in thanks and quickly ran out to get to the pawn shop to find any clues on what happened to Mi and Oliver.
Authors note: looks like the two are on the right track learning that Mi and Oliver may have been kidnapped by (One piece) who in here the Celestial dragons were once humans they were banished for there cruelness after the 5 elders were slain and banished.
Next chapter using a spell to get to borrower size to sneak into pawn shop the duo finds clues on where Mi and Oliver are
