Hellas Basin, Mars

Sol System

An few hours ago…

Far away from the Futurescape, but not too far where one cannot see it from a distance, Arthur Watts gazed down at his allies. And by allies, he means the army of Cabal troops that his fellow compatriot Amtec had managed to bring into the fold.

Over the last few days, Amtec along with himself and another of his allies, Techis, had been going around Mars meeting with Cabal of numerous legions stationed on this red planet. At least the ones that haven't been assimilated into the Red Legion. When the Red Legion had come to the system, any remaining Legions sent prior had joined willingly with the legion. After the Traveler awoken and spread Dominus Ghaul's very essence across the cosmos, they naturally began to splinter off. A majority remained loyal to the Red Legion and joined under the command of Val Ca'uor; a Cabal leader that was the current leader of any Cabal that remained stationed on Remnant. The rest splintered off into their own factions or back to their original legions. So far, Amtec had convinced a few hundred of the Skyburners, all remaining forces of the Blind Legion, and a good thousand from the Red Legion.

Currently, they were gathering as much supplies for the journey to Remnant to swear their allegiance to Salem.

Watts looked over the files gathered from the latter legion when they went to a weapon manufacturing company. Hoping to gain favor with Salem, they not only painted her sigil on their armor, but went there to gather as many weapons and intel as possible. They managed to succeed in gathering some weapons schematics and intel with minimal losses, the one most important was the file labeled Black Armory. He highlighted it and had his programs go to work on it.

A rumble from the distance caught not only his attention, but everyone else's. They looked to the distance and saw something gigantic dive out from the ground, and dive back down with a jumpship in its jaws.

A very impressive sight in his opinion.

"That is the Worm God that we've been hearing from out troops." Techis said in fascination.

"Indeed." Watts said at a loss for words.

A Psion ran to Techis and mentally gave him a warning, then went back to load up. "The Psion reported that the Hive are going en-masse to the Futurescape."

An idea popped into Watt's head. He theorized that the jumpship belonged to the Guardian Titan of Fireteam Nero, the Ace-Ops and the mechanical puppet daughter of his rival, Pietro Polendina, might have something on the ship capable of harming the Worm God.

He turned to Techis. "Prep a troop carrier and chart a course for the Futurescape. I've got an idea."

Five minutes ago.

Anastasia Bray took several breaths before dodging the sword of a Hive Knight with the tusks of a boar jutting out of its mouth. She backpedaled and blocked the sword swing with one of her knives. While effective, it was sent flying when the Knight threw a fist at her. She rolled and brought up her IKELOS handcannon and fired at the Knight. Its body now ashes, she turned to reload as more and more Hive Thralls came running. She has been keeping these Hive in check while Penny assembled the Valkyrie needed to take down Xol and by extension Nokris. She threw a trip-mine grenade at a wall and waited. The Thralls passed the grenade before they blew up. She sighed as the smoke cleared and more Thrall came through. She fired more shots from her gun and went to reload. However, she missed one and said one jumped on her to claw at her face. Her gun went flying as she struggled to get the Thrall away. She could smell its dead breath as it breathed at her, its jaws mere inches from her nose, drool coming out of its mouth waiting to taste her Light!

BLAM

Suddenly, the Thrall fell off her dead. She looked to where the thrall was dissolving in death and from where the shots came from. She spied in the corner a skinny man in a gray overcoat and pants. Black hair and mustache, tan skin. In his gloved hands was a unique revolver.

She used her cybernetic eyes to do a quick scan of the weapon. Double-barrel revolver. Gunmetal-gray, frame, hammer, and grip a bronze. Shared with the decorative wild vine coils that encircled the barrels. Twenty-bullet barrel weapon with a double or single shot bullet in each cylinder.

After ensuring that the Thrall was dead, the mysterious man stepped out of the shadows and fired into the hordes. Anastasia, not looking a gift-horse in the mouth joined him and fired into the horde. As both fired, Anastasia noticed how with each impact from the gun, the targets either burst into flames, froze or were electrocuted.

He's using Dust!? She thought to herself as she fired upon a Hive Acolyte.

During her brief time with Penny, the synthetic girl explained about Remnant, Dust, Grimm and her friend Ruby. While finding out that there's a whole lost world of humans out there, what she was really interested was in Dust. And right here was someone not affiliated with the Ace-Ops or Penny.

Frustrated at the horde, the man slipped some rings out of his pocket. Throwing them along the hallway they either fell to the floor, magnetized to the ceiling or walls. Once the last one was in place, he twisted another ring on his finger and the rings before them turned into a laser grid. The Thralls in front were sliced into numerous pieces and into ash.

"That should hold them for a long while." The man stopped in his tracks when he was face to barrel of Anastasia's weapon.

"Who are you? You're using Dust so that means you're from Remnant, but the only ones from Remnant are the Ace-Ops and Penny. And you don't look like a Guardian so who the Hellmouth are you?"

The man smiled at her. "You are truly perceptive." He reached into his pocket, making Anastasia grip her weapon harder. "I'm just reaching for my license." He said bringing out a device she recognized from Penny as a Scroll. She brought out Jinju who scanned it. "Say's he's Arthur Wattsworth: Huntsmen Graduate from Atlas Academy." She lowered the weapon relieved he was an ally. "Forgive me, last few days were hectic. Didn't realize Atlas sent a Huntsmen to Mars." She said lowering her weapon and introducing herself. The now named Arthur Wattsworth sighed in relief and brushed his suit. "I was sent here to gather some materials the eggheads in Atlas were interested in. I saw the commotion and ran as fast as I could. Had to crawl through a bunch of tunnels to get here. Luckily, I did the same thing I did to that tunnel like I did with these one's here. Good thing I showed up to assist." He said gesturing to the Thralls glaring at them.

They both turned and heard screams and the snarl of something large behind them. "I believe you are needed." He said before reloading his revolver. "I'll keep an eye on this lot. You're needed in whatever fight's going on."

She looked to the blocked Thralls and to the huntsmen. "Thanks!" She said before running to the fight ahead.

Arthur Watts applauded himself for the deception. Arthur Wattsworth was one of several identities he created during his time with Salem to move about without fear of being tracked. He wondered if he could have deceived a Guardians ghost and all his algorithms state a 30% chance or success. This was the perfect time to test it and it succeeded. He silently wished Anastasia Bray and the rest good luck. For their success benefited him greatly.

Now

The group of seven dodged Nokris's blast from his weapon. The magma touched down and proceeded to melt the place where it impacted, the metal groaning from the instability. Prometheus-23 had his Ghost Pan scan the damage and it came back bad!

"That…that damage is highly con…concentrated Darkness and Solar energy!" She stuttered in his mind. He was about to make the call on who would face who, but the call was made for him. Xol opened its jaws wide and roared before diving down below. Its large head impacting the ground, sending them flying even more before slithering towards the downed Ace-Ops which was Marrow. The Faunus of the five specialists only had a brief moment before seeing the gigantic bulk of Xol charge at him. He brought up his hand up and snapped his fingers.

"Stay!"

His semblance activated, making Xol pause for a second before proceeding forwards again. Marrow cursed thinking his semblance would be able to stop something calling itself a god. But that second was enough for Harriet to use her Speed semblance to pick up Marrow and got him out of the way as Xol slithered where he was, destroying all in its path before coiling downwards and around the area before making another pass. Elm turned her weapon into its rocket launcher form and proceeded to fire rockets at its body, dealing very minimal damage.

Prometheus-23 went to help the Ace-Ops but his way was blocked by Nokris. The Hive necromancer using the bladed portion of the glaive to block his way. The necromance took a swing at his head and it took all of his speed to avoid it. Even without Pan's warning, he could feel the Darkness emanating from it.

Nokris looked at him in recognition as he kept up swinging the Glaive. "I recognize you. You were one of the Warmind's soldiers from long ago! Look at you now! A Guardian. I wonder if our encounter long ago influenced that choice?" it said before pointing the weapon at Prometheus-23 and unleashed a blast from the tip. The Titan tried to bring up a shield, but it was canceled out by the energy. The blast sent him flying into a wall where the ice quickly melted creating a steam mist. Nokris used the glaive to stab here and there hoping to emerge from the mist with an impaled Guardian at the end. Only to get shoulder charged by the Titan. Out of his inventory, he brought out his sword Hagakure. With speed, he brought the blade up to slice at the necromancer, only for him to bring up the Glaive to block.

Back with the Ace-Ops, they might have bitten a bit more than they could chew. Even with Penny providing aerial support.

Facing off against Xol has shown them that fighting against Grimm was nothing compared to the Worm God. It kept diving down and trying to isolate them by coiling around them. In one instance, it surprised them by rearing back and unleashing fireballs out of its mouth. Vine barely dodged one, with him trying to use his Aura Vines to get away. Unfortunately, his Aura dropped to red and it gave out, shattering around his body as he fell. If it wasn't for Penny flying down and depositing him safely out of reach, he would have died.

Penny herself was flying all round providing aerial support wherever she could. Her lasers barely made a dent in Xol's body, and when she tried to help Prometheus-23, Nokris blocked her lasers with the Glaive in his hands, creating magma shields laced with Darkness. She scanned the weapon with her onboard systems and came back with way too many error codes to provide an analysis. She then decided to seek out the panel where she hoped to activate the Valkyrie Javelin she created not long ago. She used her scanners to seek out the panel.

There! She thought to herself, seeing the panel in the center of the battlefield.

She flew down fast, dodging Xol's tail that nearly slapped her away. She flew to the side and was about to land when she felt something hot approaching. She only looked to her right briefly before putting her Aura up!

The magma from Nokris propelled her back as she screamed. Even with her Aura up, she felt herself being burned. She flew back and inspected the damage. On her left arm was a chunk of her clothing and the synthetic skin beneath completely gone, leaving the metallic structure of her true body exposed.

Checking her Aura meter, she saw that it was 57% depleted. That single blast from the glaive took out a little over half her Aura in one go! She then saw to her horror the true target of Nokris's blast. The panel that she was hoping to reach was completely destroyed! She saw Nokris smile at her, a very grim and disturbing sight on something like him!

"No, no, little machine! You won't be making your little javelin!" He said before blocking a swing from the Titan that snuck up behind him. Without turning around, it blocked each of his blows. "Did you really think that we didn't know about the Warminds plan? Even in death, my legions watched and listened! Listening in to you reading about my pact with the Worm Gods. Watching as you sought to create the very means of severing our connection to Xols Ascendant Plane! Oh, and watch where your stepping!" He said before backhanding Prometheus-23 away.

Penny wondered what he was referring to the last bit before feeling something stab her beneath her feet! A circle of Void spikes surrounding a circle of Hive script appeared beneath her and stabbed her feet! She cried out rolled away, seeing her Aura take another 10% damage, laving her in the orange zone! She heard rumbling and looked up and saw Xol hovering up above, rearing to strike. The rumbling was coming from him! He was laughing! He was the one responsible for the sigil! He then charged forwards with his jaws wide to try and swallow her whole.

That was when a fishing line was sent flying and hooked into one of his mandibles.

The Worm God was confused about why there was something attached to one of his jaws. It tried to wiggle its mandible to try and dislodge it, but couldn't. It turned to look and saw Clover Ebi. "Hey guys, I caught myself a big one!" He said, much to the humor and confusion of his team. Annoyed at the small man, it dove down. It only dived fifty feet before feeling a pressure from behind it. Unbeknownst to Xol, Vine was holding onto Clover with his Aura Vines that he managed to create with what little Aura he had left, while Elm was using her Aura Roots to hold herself down and holding onto the pale member of the Ace-Ops. Marrow himself pointed at Xol and used his semblance again to assist. They were barely anchored in place, feet sliding across the ground, trying to hold the gigantic worm in place.

"Penny, there has to be another panel for the Javelin! You and Harriet search for it! We'll hold him!" Penny nodded and quickly picked up Harriet as they flew off to search.

They managed to hold Xol for five seconds. Which was impressive given the size of it!

Annoyed at the weight, Xol used all his strength to dive down! Vine and Elm's roots and vines shattered and Marrow fell back. Marrow's and Elm's scrolls beeped signaling that they were in the red. As for Clover, thanks to his Good Fortune Semblance, he was getting the ride of a lifetime. Hooked to a gigantic Worm God, tunneling down! Holding onto his weapon for dear life, he was dragged behind the worm. Pressing a button on the weapon, he was reeled forward as Xol burrowed down.

Nokris was holding himself well against Prometheus-23. The Titan having faced off against Oryx on his Dreadnaught, he gave credit where it was due. "You are definitely your father's son! You have his cunning!" He said, dodging another swing of the glaive. He switched out his sword for his IKELOS Shotgun, putting a round into Nokris. The Hive Wizard stumbled back with a hole in his chest. He stood tall as the wound healed fast, the bond between Xol and himself in full force. "I'll take that as a compliment from the Titan of the Fireteam responsible for his death!" He said twirling the blade, making Prometheus-23 step back out of reach, the very tip sizzling away what shields he had on his armor. "You know then." "Of course I know. Even bound beneath the icy prison, I felt his death along with my brother and sisters!" He brought the blade down again and Prometheus-23, not having time to bring out the sword again, used the shotgun to block the fall. Sparks flew between them as he held his ground. "You may have your father's cunning, but your brother got all his strength!" He said, hoping to push his button. Buttons which were sensitive.

Nokris growled and with a wave of his hand, sent a spike of Void energy beneath the Titan. Prometheus-23 grunted in pain and used that to push Nokris away as he rolled to the side.

"My brother was a fool! Cared more about his blade and seeking my father's approval! Everything was given to him, while I worked for what I have! All brawn and no brain. Tricked by our Aunt to let the Vex through, and my father still made him his heir!" He shouted as he sliced down, chipping a bit of the Titan's armor. He grunted in pain feeling the Super he was about to unleash on the necromancer fade. Nokris turned and saw Penny with Harriet on her back fly up and away. Smiling, he created a sigil in his hand and waved it at the two.

In front of the two flying, a portal opened up and a dozen winged Hive Knights flew out. These ones were Grimm/Hive hybrids with the feathered wings of Nevermores or leathery bat wings of Ravagers. Penny dodged the swings and shots flew up avoiding the blades or shots from the Hive weaponry. Harriet held onto Penny with one hand and her thighs wrapped around the redhead's waist as she used her freehand to punch any Hive that came too close.

Nokris smiled at his winged Knights and opened another portal on the ground. Spilling forth from this portal, Thralls with the legs of deathstalkers skittered towards the remaining three near exhausted Ace-Ops. They knew that if they fought against these, their Auras will shatter and they will be vulnerable!

Prometheus-23 tried to punch Nokris, but the necromancer summoned another sigil and a Hive claw appeared and grafted itself to the necromancer's chest, grabbing the Titan's arm and bending it backwards, then ripping it out! The Titan screamed and fell backwards, clutching his stump. Pan appeared and tried to heal the damage, only for the third arm in Nokris's chest to stretch outwards and grab the Ghost in his claw. Prometheus-23 tried to grab onto Pan with his remaining arm, but the pain was too great. It retracted to his chest and brought the Ghost to its three eyes. Nokris could see himself reflected back in the Ghost's terrified eye.

"Such a small thing, to link you to great power." Nokris said before giving Pan a squeeze. Pain like never before went through Prometheus-23 as he cried out in pain. "You like my arm? After intense study and experimentation with these Creatures of Grimm, I discovered something marvelous; a Grimm that's basically a hand and arm. Can either operate independently, as a large knot of arms or attached to another living thing. After many experiments, I created one for myself." Nokris said as the third arm on his chest moved of its own accord. And by move, literally move around his chest. Sliding from the center, to his shoulder, to the wrist of his right hand, while still holding on to the terrified Pan. Nokris smiled at an idea. "Since you're already missing an arm, why not take this one? I think you'll enjoy it." He said, bending down and lowering his right hand down to the stump of the Titan's missing arm. The third arm moved of its own accord and merged with the damaged bits of the Exo.

From his systems, he could feel the foulness attaching itself, linking with his internal systems. "I wonder, if I tell your new prosthetic to crush your Ghost, can you override it? Or will you watch as you crush your own Ghost before your eyes?" The necromancer's eyes glowed bright green in interest. "Let's find out!"

Prometheus-23 watched as the Grimm/Hive arm clench its fingers around Pan. Despite the fowlness the arm gave off, Prometheus-23 used his strength to try and override it!

He didn't have to because a gunshot followed by a streak of golden fire disintegrated the arm, with Pan falling then floating back up to hover by the Titan's shoulder. Nokris growled in frustration and turned to where the shot fired from, but was met with another golden bullet to the face and his head disintegrated. From the distance, Prometheus-23 saw Anastasia Bray hanging from the railings by one arm with a Golden Gun Super in her hands. She smiled at him, then turned to fire three more shots which destroyed the Grimm/Hive hybrids surrounding the three Ace-Ops. Knowing that Nokris won't stay down for long, Prometheus lifted the IKELOS shotgun and brought it under his chin. "Pan, prep for resurrection."

BLAM

"Guardian down!"

00000

Anastasia Bray jumped down from the railing up above quickly followed by five of the heavy frames which made a protective circle around the tired Ace-Ops. Checking to make sure there were no other Hive or hybrids around, she turned to the three. "Sorry took so long to join up, had a lot coming at me."

"That's alright. Commute must have been a bitch, at least we saved you some." Elm said sarcastically. Anastasia looked to the group. "Where's the others?" She asked.

It was at that precise moment that Xol himself decided to make an appearance, diving out of the ground below and bellowing as he whipped a certain Ace-Operative away from his mouth and down below. Anastasia double-jumped upwards to catch the bruised Clover Ebi and placed him down right next to his teammates. As she did, he muttered something about 'the spice must flow'! Believing he was just tired from being dragged behind the Worm God, Anastasia turned upwards to look at Penny and Harriet still on the former's back as they dodged more flying Hive.

"Heavy Frame number 619!" She called out. One of the heavy frames stepped away from the circle and got down on all fours. Several plates on its back opened out and mini-rockets flew out and targeted the flying Hive. Penny dodged and weaved around the Hive as the rockets impacted their targets. When Penny suddenly got in the flight path of one mini-rocket, it avoided her and went on its way. Penny scanned and found a panel up above near several pipes. She landed with Harriet getting off of her. As Penny ran, she failed to notice a Hive Thrall jump towards her. Luckily, Harriet saw it and intercepted it, rolling all over until she was on top of it and punching it. Penny reached the panel and the red data streams representing Rasputin came to her. The data solidified until in her hands was the Valkyrie Javelin.

"I got it!" She shouted, turning to Harriet who finished off the Hive Thrall. Harriet ran to Penny, wrapping both arms around the redheads neck as they flew off down below to finish this.

Nokris finally recovered from his head being blown off, only to receive a fist to the face from a newly resurrected Prometheus-23, complete with arm reattached. The Necromancer was sent flying to the center of the battlefield where he joined his patron. Xol himself hissed at those assembled. Prometheus-23 standing beside Anastasia Bray with the four Ace-Ops surrounded by heavy frames.

"One Guardian more or less won't change the playing field. I can summon the entire Sect here to overwhelm you all!" Nokris shouted as he brought the glaive up, twirling it between his fingers. Anastasia looked up and smiled. "I think you'll have a lot on your hands." She said. Nokris looked up and his jaw dropped. Penny flew down with Harriet jumping off, tucking and rolling to stand in front of her teammates as Penny reared her arm back and threw the Valkyrie Javelin!

Everyone had to cover their ears from the scream Xol let out when it impacted his hide! Xol writhed in pain as the Javelin stuck in its side glowed bright red bathing the Worm God. Nokris, due to his bond with his patron felt the same pain and dropped his glaive as his arms came up to his side. The same side where Xol had been injured. Penny, seeing the glaive fall to the ground put as much energy into her feet as possible and flew down quick to grab the glaive away from Nokris. Flying back to the two guardians, she quickly let go of the glaive where it dropped beneath the feet of a heavy frames. Her synthetic skin on her hands blistering due to the damage and Darkness emanating from it.

Xol writhed even more before his form was bathed in a combination of red and green glow. The same thing happening to Nokris as well. As one, both glows shattered with a bright light and a bang!

Nokris slouched forward feeling the damage done through the bond to his patron. As he looked upon Xol, who looked diminished and ashen upon his scales, he realized what happened! Xol was cut off from his Ascendant Plane! Nokris knew that the bond he shared with Xol linked them both in life and death. What he felt, Xol felt. As long as one remained alive, the other would not die! While their bond helped, Xols connection to his Ascendant Realm cemented it.

"Connection severed…but temporary…need time…time to heal…" Through his bond, he heard his Xol's communion. They should flee, plan revenge. He tried to summon a portal for him to flee, but a boomerang flew by and severed his arm. It fell to the ground and shriveled away! He saw the projectile fly and return to the one who threw it: Marrow! The Faunus smiled at the damage done and gave him the finger. Snarling, he brought the hand up, but saw that wasn't reforming back! What was supposed to be a newly grown arm was only a small stump.

The two Guardians, Penny and the Ace-Ops saw that he wasn't reforming came to the conclusion that by severing Xol from his Ascendant Realm, it lessened hos necromancy! Prometheus-23 and the recovering Ace-Ops giving him covering fire, went to finish off the necromancer, while Anastasia Bray and Penny dealt with Xol.

"How are we going to take him down?" Penny asked, her swords hovering around her as she looked up at the very pissed off Worm God. "Don't worry, Rasputin's got this." The hunter replied looking up. Seeing that the darkened skies were getting darker, Penny looked up, eyes wide and smiled. From speakers all around, a Russian voice sounded, which Penny translated for all.

"Look out below!"

Rasputin had decided to join in on the fight against the very beings he contained long ago by shooting them with what remained of his old Warsats. The large satellites shot down and impacted Xol, dealing damage that made the Worm God scream. Several more Warsats impacted Xol, some he dodged, while the others destroyed a bit of his tail or tore a few chunks off from his body. As the warsats rained down on Xol, Penny and Anastasia were also doing damage to the Worm God. Penny used her swords to stab into Xols body, and using the strings attached, ripped them back out, scaly chunks with it. Anastasia had holstered her handcannon and brought out her Braytech Winter Wolf Assault Rifle and ran around shooting at the Worm God.

As they were doing that, Prometheus-23 with the help of the Ace-Ops were dealing with Nokris. Now that he wasn't healing like he normally would have, the lesser son of Oryx was being more careful about getting hurt by their attacks. The Titan brought up his Sweet Business Exotic Assault Rifle and opened fire on Nokris. He in turn, created a shield blocking the shots, only to get hit in the shoulder and chest by Marrow's boomerang weapon and Harriet's fists. He cried out, only to get a fishhook in his mouth. He looked to the still recovering Clover Ebi, weapon in hand. The Ace Operative smiled, but soon turned to shock when Nokris reached into his mouth and pulled on the wire, dragging Clover to him. When Clover got close, Noris punched him in the throat, making his Aura shatter. Clover laid down on the ground, panting and looking up in terror when Nokris summoned a Void Spike above him and slammed it down! However, Harriet, seeing her leader in danger, used her Speed semblance to grab Clover before the spikes impacted. However, she was just a bit slow and felt the damage herself, her Aura flickering. A warning on her scroll told her she was now in the red.

Nokris, seeing two of his foes tired, raised his hand to create more Void Spikes. But Elm, having recovered enough, brought the hammer down on his arm and shattered it, making him scream. He was then flung back and rolled onto the ground before getting back up. One arm fully healed now, while another recently out of commission. Clearing his head, with his new arm summoned some Knights. Only for Vine to use what remained of his Aura to summon vines and throw them down below where they died upon impact. He then fell as his Aura shattered.

Nokris growled at setback after setback. He turned to his god, but found Xol also having hardships. Chunks of his body destroyed by Warsats that still fell from the sky, yet enduring all of it! He saw Penny jump back and had her swords in front of her creating some sort of circle. Seeing the energy built up within, he channeled his power to send bolts of flame at her. Only to be punched again by the Titan which caused his lower jaw to break off! He tried to bring it back up, but turned to ashes. He looked and saw the Titan bathed in flames with a hammer in his fist. He looked for any weapon and saw the glaive just a few feet away. With his one arm outstretched, he made a jump to it, only for Marrow to use his boomerang to toss it over the side. Nokris looked down to see the glaive fall below. Nokris screamed as hammer blow after hammer blow impacted his body!

At that same moment, Anastasia readied her Golden Gun. She knew that this was it, that Xol was at his weakest. Penny charged up her weapons most devastating feature, energy channeled around her blades and to the center. "Ready?" She shouted at Penny. "I'm always combat ready!"

Xol shrugged off the last of the bits that were the Warsats Rasputin threw at him. Readying itself for more, it looked to the sky to find nothing! Rasputin had used the last of the old Warsats to attack Xol and used them all up! It laughed and turned to the two down below, one bathed in flames with a gun in hand, while the other channeled energy in front of her, surrounded by blades.

At that same time, Prometheus-23 raised the hammer one final time to end Nokris.

"Lights Out!

"For Bray!"

"For the puppies!"

Three golden shots from Anastasia's Golden gun along with Penny's green blast from her weapons impacted Xol and through his body. To Penny's audio receptors, she could have sworn that she heard another shot join their own but put it down to an echo. The blasts tore Xol's body and it stiffened before falling down right between them.

Prometheus-23's super finally went out and he fell on his butt exhausted disturbing the ashy remains of the Necromancer.

Xol Will of the Thousands and Nokris were dead at the same time.

Their bond states as long as one lives, the other will survive. And with both dead, nothing to anchor them!

The Ace-Ops finally got up and looked to the quickly decomposing body of Xol. They couldn't believe it that they helped take down a God of the Hive pantheon. Some were still processing it, while others wondered what accolades or awards, or commendations they would receive for this. Marrow looked to Penny. "For the Puppies?" He asked. "It was the only thing that came to me. Was that not a good finishing catchphrase?"

"No, it was alright."

A/N: I've decided to split the epilogue into two chapters, so it will be a while. For those wondering, if Savathun, disguised as Osiris could fool Ghosts, then it stands to reason that a good digital forgery could fool them just as good. Hope you all like this battle. Would have been awesome to have Rasputin shoot down Warsats at Xol during the Strike.
