2000 years ago…

The holocron was the only light within the dark chamber as a red glow emerged from its crystal-like center. Its pyramidal frame hung lofty in the air, right above the palm of a Sith pureblood, as one could tell from the red skin and cheek tendrils.

But there was no pride or joy on his scarred face. His once regal black robes were ripped and stained with blood as he rested his wounded body against the wall. The Sith's breathing became shallow with every passing second, and he fought the urge to close his yellow eyes.

For what felt like hours, the Sith poured every ounce of his knowledge he into the holocron. He ended his teachings with one last message he had to give to whoever stumbled across it.

"... I leave this holocron for anyone to know of our downfall," the Sith's graveling voice carried the slight sliver of hope. He suppressed a pain whimper and grasping his wounded side, continued. "Do not let it happen again. Do not let our murderers go unpunished."

And so, the holocron lowered into the Sith's palm. His work accomplished, he used whatever strength he had to stand, grimacing at his pain. Yet, the Sith carried on, using the walls to support himself. Coming to the entrance, the Sith pressed his free hand over the small panel on the wall.

The door slid open, and the first thing the Sith saw were the flashes of lightning in the skies of above. In front of him were the ruins of a once great city where its lights died away long ago, leaving only the lightning to illuminate the tall spires.

Dragging his feet behind him, the Sith continued out into the dead city, feeling the pelting rain. The pain coursing through his weakened body grew and he slowed his pace. Despite all of his training, it was too much for the Sith to bear any longer as his body collapsed onto the street with a thud.

His eyes just gazed out at the distance, knowing that he could not go on. He would die on this dark and foreboding world, alone and forgotten.

As he laid there, the Sith stared at the holocron within his hand. It pulsed with the ominous red glow that clashed against the building's dull grays. The red glow began to build up with every passing, and then… it happened.

A ship hovering over a strange world…

People screaming as a burning white light engulfed them…

Death and destruction ruined many buildings…

And standing over it all was a Sith Pureblood in black robes…

The Sith's eyes widen as he saw the flashes. No, they were not just mere flashes, but a vision. A vision of a promising future…

A smile spread across the Sith's face. "Yes," he whispered softly. "Our revenge will come."

With that, the Sith's last breath escaped into the thunderous skies above.

In another place far, far away, a pair of red eyes snapped opened. Their owner, a Pureblooded Sith, placed a gloved hand on the white Jedi tunic over her chest as she gasped for air. After the Pureblood's breathing calmed, a sigh left her nostrils.

Wiping off the sweat on her red face, the Pureblood stood from her meditative position and her hands grasped the balcony's railing. She stared at the moon's familiar landscape with Earth in the distance. The blue planet was a sight to behold and it certainly helped ease the Pureblood's troubled mind.

Still, there was something bothering her. Mere minutes ago, she had been meditating peacefully when she felt that sudden disturbance. It was a presence of sorts vanishing, almost like a candle being snuffed out. Whatever it was, it unnerved her to no end.

"Is everything alright, Rilana?" a light voice asked, and the Pureblood turned around.

Rilana was about to grab the lightsaber on her belt, but stopped when realized who it was. A young woman stood on the balcony, wearing a white dress. Her skin was almost like silk, and a long brown ponytail rested on her shoulders.

"I'm fine, Princess Selene," she said, shrugging off her uneasiness. "I thought I felt something."

Selena's blue eyes stared back as she excitedly told Rilana, "Whatever it is, it can wait. The meeting is about to start!"

Nodding, Rilana followed the princess into the confines of the white-bricked palace. The inside was large, made of different levels connected by many staircases. Chandeliers hung from the ceiling, shining on the white walls and crystal floor. From the upper floor, Rilana stared down at the many in the large white throne room.

There were descendants of the human taken from Earth, joined with those from the home galaxy. There were other humans, red-skinned Sith, the tail-headed Twi'leks, and others. All–nobles, Jedi, and Sith alike–eagerly waited for what about to happen.

Then, Rilana turned her eyes to the royal couple, Selene's parents, standing near the large white throne. With them were a human Jedi Master and a Pureblood Sith Lord, both donning the robes of their respective orders.

The chatter slowly died away as the king stepped forward, his white royal robes flowing. After running a hand through his black hair, the king cleared his throat and began. "My friends, I thank you all for coming here today. We are gathered here to celebrate our new beginning."

The queen, in a dress similar to Selene's, spoke next. "Millennia ago, the Jedi and Sith arrived in our solar system and made contact with our world. Though they started their stay with war, they have done their part to bring the peace we have now."

She turned to the Jedi Master, who nodded his bald head to the royal couple before addressing the crowd. "Since our ancestor's arrival in this new system, we warred with each other nonstop. Many were drawn in our battles and died. But now is a new beginning."

The Sith Lord took the stage, his own voice booming with power as he spoke. "Let's this moment be the start of a new age, an age where we can work together, where we can reach new goals!"

The king took the final words, opening his arms wide to greet everyone. "And here, we shall start, on this place. The Moon Kingdom!"

Applause filled the air as everyone congratulated the moment. Rilana herself clapped, but it was hollow, contrasting with Selene's own excited claps. The presence Rilana felt before left her nervous and afraid for not knowing what it was or what happened. All she could do was just clap in a slow pace, over and over and over again.

AN: This was part of an old crossover between Star Wars and Sailor Moon I had planned out many years ago. Much like with many other projects, it had been abandoned, but I kept this little excerpt, a prologue for what would have been the second installment in a trilogy of fanfics (true to Star Wars style). Looking back on it, I think it was better that I didn't continue, as the crossover was geared to the Star Wars side more than Sailor Moon, but that doesn't mean no else can write it. I would to hear what you guys think.

Raika out.
