Hello my young bamboo sprout!
It's been a while for them who get a glance at my previous tries.
I write this one as a new try, for those who wonder english isn't my maternal language, so I would like to know if I write anything wrongly through all the story.
It is a short start, but I promise if my inspiration didn't go down, it'll rise higher at each chapter. This one is only a slight test for myself.
As some have notice, the main character will be StoryShift!Chara, alias SS!Chara. I want to make you know I don't own a perfect knowledge of this character, despite I like her way much than many in Undertale's AU.
I will make slight change to her capacity, some minor and others can became game breaker for somes, but sorry it is how I imagine the future of this story.
I don't know if I'll ship her or something, but if it happen, it'll be a yuri. (Sorry for some, but I'm a bit tired to see Deku shiped with everyone and everything, there's many more character more interesting to ship. (PS: Same goes for Bakugo))
Finally, I don't own any of Boku no Hero Academia or Undertale and Undertale's AU, but I wish you'll enjoy. (Despite I can't promise a future short or long for this story despite my own feelings, but I wish I'll be able to continue it.)
For those who wonder, I will put a french version of this story too if I continue, so then somes won't have to go through the hardway of translating in their mind or using google trade. (I use it some time though)
Last warning: The story won't be rainbows and unicorns , either as soft as in the original universe of BNHA, it can became a bit gross on some point and dark in a general manner, so be careful if you've a soft heart.
A sigh passed my lips as I looked up to the origins of the footstep in the immaculate corridor, a slight smirk lifting at the corner of my lips. Was it the fiftieth or sixtieth times? Maybe many more times, but I couldn't remember since I stopped counting the number of CONTINUE they try in this new RESET, in this new timeline… But as I open my eyes as always, I feel my SOUL filled with DETERMINATION.
Why are they so persistent? I couldn't care more.
I was DETERMINATE to make them feel all the pain I feel since they killed Asriel.
"Here we go again, pretty mirrors. =)" Despite my casual line repeated so many times at this same time within all their try, I didn't see at this time that my words weren't filled with DETERMINATION, but instead with HATE…
When she opened her eyes, Chara didn't meet the old same corridor, but it wasn't the comfort of her house either.
'What's happening? Didn't they RESET? I've an odd feeling about this.'
She lifted a hand to put on her hood while she stood up from the grassy floor she was lying on. As she looks around herself, confusion fills her mind while she notices the unusual flora, as if she was… Looking suddenly up in a mixed feeling of surprise and frightening, her eyes meet this time the stars of a free sky, more realistic than the painting life by an unknown someone in Waterfall.
Her ears started to notice more carefully the strange sounds of machinery not so far, further behind the tall metal fence surrounding the area, where she was able to see many lights moving as living beings under the cover of the night.
"The surface? Why in hell am I here?"
But while she tries to remember any absurd way explaining her new situation, a voice interrupts her train of thoughts.
"Hey kid, what ya doing here?!"
As she turns her eyes back, a lazy smile on her lips, making her shoulder relax, she regains her composure with a slight mixture of a cozy and lazy voice.
"Sorry, sir. I think I'm a bit lost right here." Her words were fluid, but interiorly harder to get out of her lips than she imagined as she was looking at the man. It was a casual man in his thirties, wearing the casual police uniform. But despite his anormal eyes making her remember the eyes of an owl, her sight was telling her it was completely pure human with a soul devoid of traits.
"Lost? It's the only outside park in Musutafu, how can you be lost? Return home and stop fooling around at this hour of the night."
"Hum… can you instead tell me a place where I can lie a bit? I didn't think my place is around anymore." Was her words with a giggle as she scratched the back of her head, simulating a bit of embarrassment under the squint of the cops.
At her answer, he seems to raise an eyebrow for a second before his eyes look her down to up, seeming to notice her unusual outfit, dirtied from all her walk in the Underground. The officer seems to mumble something about 'the heroes doing' before approaching her, lowering the light of his flashlight.
"Come with me, I'll take you to a place where you can have a proper meal and a bed. How old are you, kid?"
Despite herself, she nodded and didn't react while he put his hand on her shoulder, guiding her through the park. As he takes her general information, he seems all the way hesitant in his way to speak to her, as if he didn't know if she was a girl or a boy, and Chara never corrects him, giggling at his hard time while he takes her in his car, to his police office.
"So, who is it?" Come a voice behind the owl-officer and as he turns his gaze behind him, his eyebrows lift a bit wide.
"Inspector Naomasa? You're still here so late?"
"I've just got a call from my wife, telling me to stop work and come back home. But it isn't common for us to take in strangers inside these rooms, so my curiosity gets me."
Naomasa's words were embarrassed, but despite knowing his superior difficulty at home with his late schedule, the owl-officer still nodded as he gestured for him to follow him through the officer's office.
"From what they said, they're called Chara. 15 years old, homeless from as far as they know. They were wandering in the outside park, pretending to be lost, but you can't just be lost if you have nowhere to go, right? They didn't have any relatives or friends either, they say they're gone. Probably a villain's attack."
"They?" Ask the inspector with a slightly amused smile as the owl-officer look away with a bit of embarrassment covering his cheeks.
"I can't tell if they're a girl or a boy, at this age, youngsters are susceptible."
"And what does the data give?"
"Nothing at all, there was no clue and since it's late, I didn't want to bother them by asking if they had a quirk and what it was. The local heroes didn't have any clue either, I've already called their subordinates. The night will be long at this rate."
"Don't worry about this, I'll handle it. Your shift finishes soon and I will be lectured anyway."
After a bit more of talk and many thanks to his superior, the owl-officer takes his leave to finish his patrol. On his side, Naomasa takes off his cloak, before returning to Chara's room, taking a look at the kid.
"Gosh… he's right." He mumble as he closes the door gently, amused by their androgynous looks.
Soon, he returns to his own office, opening his computer a new time this night, before starting to investigate the light case, passing the night between calls and paperwork. But despite the passing hours, he faces too many walls, more than the case looks and at the end, he takes his personal phone, lifting it to his ear.
"Good evening, Fukukado-san. Sorry to bother you at this late in the night, is Eraser here? Really? How unlucky… I've just got a mysterious child from a coworker, I was wondering if he can take them in charge for a while."
