But that's why this chapter is longer than the others and I hope it was worth the wait.
Iruka Umino was nervously pacing from one end of the chunin room to the other, impatiently waiting for his new colleague who was due to arrive at any moment. As far as he understood the person had only recently become a chunin, so he assumed he or she would not have much experience with children. That could be a bit of a problem. Especially with his class where he himself regularly fell into the pranks that Naruto and Kiba would set, Shikamaru who was always bored and fall asleep, Hinata who almost never managed to say a single word or stuttered almost indistinctly, Choji who was constantly eaten during the class… The list simply went on and on.
Iruka cared for his students with all his heart, but sometimes they knew how to push his buttons quite a bit. Also another problem was how he/she would treat Naruto. Most shinobi avoid him and want nothing to do with him, while civilians treat him like the plague. Even he himself had his own prejudices about Naruto and it took him some time to warm up to the kid, as well as the fiasco with the enemy ninjas that blew some sense into his head.
The kid can be hard at times with his hyperactive attitude, bad jokes, lack of awareness for things around him but basically he is a very good kid. Last on the list but he is not stupid, he is just hard to motivate, besides becoming Hokage of course. He had also been feeling restless all weekend since Naruto, Shikamaru, Chōji, and Kiba sneaked out during lunch break. Worst of all, he couldn't find them for hours, chasing all over Konoha. It wasn't until late in the evening that he got word that all four were found alive and well without injuries, which eased the tension in his stomach, but since he still didn't know where exactly Naruto was, he was worried.
The Akimichi chunin kept assuring him that he was in good hands and that he shouldn't worry too much. Iruka couldn't help but worry. He hadn't heard from Naruto all weekend and usually at least twice in that time period the ninja patrol chased him around Konoha, for his silly mischief. He even looked for him in his apartment, but he didn't find anyone there, and when he asked the Sandaime-sama himself, he would get the same answer, that everything was fine and not to worry. Keeping him in the dark led him to even check the hospital to make sure he wasn't injured or sick. Teuchi also didn't see him all weekend, and Naruto ate at Ichiraku at least once a day. Thinking this much was starting to twist Iruka's stomach and give him a migraine.
Taking a couple of deep breaths he decided that if Naruto didn't show up in the classroom today he would inform the Hokage and convince him to start searching for Naruto with everything he could. "For the last time, the wild beasts are not allowed in the academy!" exclaimed the black haired kunoichi in a red long sleeveless kimono as she readjusted her glasses. She was bursting with rage and it was obvious that she had no patience for whatever was happening at the moment.
When Iruka took a closer look at the one she was yelling at, he somewhat sympathized with why Kyoko was so aggressive and panicky yelled. In front of her stood a huge dark silver wolf, three times the size of any chunin in the room with a not so pleasant expression on it's face. Next to the wolf in front of Kyoko stood a very tall girl in black ninja pants, a typical chunin vest while her metal mesh sleeves were sticking out. Her hair was a mere inches above her shoulders with braided bangs revealing her tanned face and her large brown eyes that seemed increasingly irritated by the behavior of the kunoichi in front of her. In her hands the kunoichi held the paperwork on which was a picture of a wolf, which Iruka assumed was a ninken registration like those for the Inuzaka clan.
" Then what are you doing here?" The new kunoichi replied in a sassy monotone voice and a sharp look that showed she was slowly starting to lose her temper. This broke some of the tension in the room making the others laugh. From the serious to the tense atmosphere, there was almost no trace of a second ago, but the laughter that filled the room. Kyoko was taken aback by her behavior as her jaw nearly dropped to the floor not expecting such a response.
Deciding to get involved out of curiosity Iruka approached the new kunoichi assuming she was the new co-sensei. ,, Sorry for interrupt you, are you maybe the new sensei." The girl turned to him looking at the new face that addressed her while the wolf seemed to be looking at him with a warning look ,, watch what are you doing,,. ,, Yes that it's me. Maxi Uzumaki and this is my parter Tsuki." The wolf raised his head proudly in introduction as Maxi nodded her head in greeting to Iruka. ,, Nice to meet you Maxi-san, my name is Iruka Umino as of today I am your co-sensei." Iruka bowed slightly introducing himself. On the other hand Iruka was surprised to meet more someone with the last name Uzumaki.
Various assumptions were immediately running through his mind like,, Is he related to Naruto?,,.,,Will she neglect the other students?,,.,, And if she is related to Naruto, yes will she be a problematic person?,, .The others in the room were simply speechless and started whispering to each other after hearing her name... Some took a few steps away from her, some made faces of disgust as if they saw a certain blond boy. "We should get going, classes are starting soon, right." She suggested with a positive smirk not paying attention to the others in the room as she addressed Iruka. Glancing at clock he realized they only had a few minutes before class started so he just grabbed today's lesson plan and headed out of the room as Maxi followed along with Tsuki.
Before trio came out she turned her head towards the other chunins who were watching her deceptively scanning them with her dead cold eyes and said loudly in a somewhat stern and warning voice. ,, I just hope you don't treat or judge students like this. It's not only ugly but pathetic as well." With that she slammed the sliding door of the room making everyone and even Iruka almost jump out of their skin.
Maxi took a deep breath and exhaled as she returned looked at the completely relaxed and calm version of herself as Iruka looked at her in surprise. he couldn't find anything she said that was offensive as she only told the truth that almost no one showed the behavior of a true shinobi let alone a teacher. And he was a bit intimidated by her height as well as by the wolf that was walking next to her and she was scratching him like a puppy all the time. As they got closer to the classroom Iruka decided to warn her anyway because there was a chance that the kids had made some kind of trick especially Naruto when it was quiet like this, "You see Maxi-san, we have a couple of tricksters in the class, so you'd better not let your guard down..." This made Maxi laugh, surprising Iruka because most sensei don't like to have troubled students, who play pranks and get away with it. ,, No worries Iruka-san. I have experience with pranksters." she said with a wink which made Iruka blush but at sometime feel al lot easier not to have to worry too much about her reaction if the kids were up to something.
Opening the door Iruka was relieved that there weren't any traps he had to worry about acting like everything is normal. The children went back to their seats by themselves waiting for Iruka to reach his desk while Maxi followed him. However, he didn't even get half way, when balloons filled with paint suddenly started flying towards him and Maxi. In a second the kunoichi stood in front of Iruka catching one balloon at a time not letting them pop so she threw them one by one into the trash can behind her. As she threw all the balloons, from the ceiling flour started falling fast. At one point while the flour stopped in the air then flew out the window. It only took them a second to realize that Maxi had used wind chakra while staying cool like a cucumber.
The other students looked surprised as a few of them yelled, "Nee-san." Iruka looked towards his students and a group of them seemed to recognize the kunoichi from somewhere. And judging by her facial expressions, it seemed that she left a positive impression on those who recognize her and those who don't. "Nice try, but more luck next time guys." She said cheerfully standing next to the sensei table waiting for Iruka who was surprised at her quick reactions and positive attitude after nearly being painted and floured by someone. He didn't have to think too much about who made the traps because Naruto's pale face was looking at her with an expression that said,, I'm done,,
.However Iruka decided to let him go this time because the kunoichi made sure that the traps didn't make any mess or damage. ,, Alright class, a new sensei will be joining us starting today." Most of the children hardly paid any attention to the stump but instead looked with interest at the exotic-looking girl and at Tsuki who was sitting calmly next to her. Maxi took that as a sign to introduce herself and walked over to the table where Iruka was standing a second ago. ,, Hello, my name is Maxi Uzumaki and from today I will teach you ninja arts together with Iruka-san. I hope we get along well." Of course they immediately started raising their hands in the air to ask questions.
Maxi looked around the class and randomly picked a student who wanted to ask a question. ,, Does that mean you are related to Naruto? ?" Asked the student who was civilian born with the name Saru. Maxi just shook her head and answered with a smile. "Naruto and I are not related but we do belong to the same clan." Sighs of surprise could be heard around the classroom and whispers until a set of hands began to rise. "Is the Uzumaki really a clan? Because I don't remember us mentioning it last week when Iruka-sensei told us about the Konohagakure clans." Sakura asked this time, who was looking at Maxi curiously.
The rest of the hands went down which meant the others had the same question. Iruka looked nervously at Maxi knowing that the subject was certainly not easy for her. ,, Yes, the Uzumaki are indeed a clan originating from the Land of Whirlpools. The village they come from was Uzushiogakure, the village hidden in the whirlpools as well as the village of longevity are also two other common names associated with Uzushiogakure." The children were very surprised by her answer not believing at first that the Uzumaki were really a clan. They continued to ask questions, about clan characteristics, is there a kekkei genkai...
Everything went perfectly, even the children behaved better than usual. Especially Naruto who didn't seem sleepy or disinterested as usual, nor was he trying to pull any of his tricks again. It was about his clan after all, so this was probably one of the most interesting lessons of his life. Finally learning where part of his family came from. Until there was that question that changed the whole atmosphere of the classroom. ,, Maxi-sensei. If the Uzumaki clan is really strong why haven't we heard of it before?" Shino asked with his typical monotone glace. Whispers filled the classroom for a moment picking up interest from Iruka who was also curious. He himself didn't know much about Uzushiogakure, barely a few did. But when he thought about it he remembered something that made him freeze in place. Maxi on the other hand answered the question, "During the third shinobi war, Uzushio was attacked by Kiri, Kuso and Iwa all together with the tailed beasts." Sighs of surprise were heard around the classroom along with sad eyes and pity.
Maxi began to draw on the board the entire map of all the nations and the arrows that showed the systematics of the attack as she explained the entire battle with great precision. It ended up going into a lesson about the third shinobi war, to which Iruka only finally realized that Maxi had managed to turn the question around to the lesson intended for today's class. "Iruka-sensei." Sasuke raised his hand eager to ask a question, which was rare. "Yes Sasuke-kun." Iruka looked at him happily at the news changes that was starting to happen in the classroom that somehow caught the Uchiha as well.
"Why didn't Konoha help Uzushio during the attack, if they were already allies and a sister village to us?" Iruka had no answer to that. In fact, most of the things his new colleague told him were unknown to him because not much was known about what happened. Mostly the older shinobi, the hokage and a few others know but it was too tragic to tell.,, Kagami Uchiha, was placed in Uzushio in case there was an attack so Konoha would be notified. However on the way to Konoha Kagami was killed. But all the same the news reached Konoha in time, but help was never sent." In all this, Maxi remained completely calm.
She didn't show a trace of sadness or hatred, nor did it seem as if any of it affected anything in particular. Iruka couldn't believe how she just said something that could turn the students against Konoha or put the wrong image in their heads. Iruka had planned to talk to her during his lunch break. Especially since he had a feeling that some very sensitive and probably forbidden information had been shared in his classroom today. A loud bang echoed in the classroom, attracting the attention of all the students. ,, Why... why did they let Uzushio disappear just like that. They were allies, dattebayo." No one dared to say for a while. Not even Iruka saw fit to yell and criticize Naruto for such behavior. Knowing that the village you grew up in and lived in as far as you know turned its back on your clan when they needed help the most.
,, Wartime is a very difficult and scary time. Decisions are made that are not easy and no one is proud of them. In truth, Konoha turned its back on the battle but not on the survivors. But many refused, fearing they would be betrayed again." Maxi stepped forward in the middle of the classroom and turned her back to the students with her thumb pointing at the spiral of her chunin vest. Everyone almost looked at her in confusion until she spoke loudly. ,, Do any of you know what this symbol is on my vest and the vests of all the shinobi and kunoichi of Konoha?" No one knew, and they saw that symbol everyday and didn't know the true meaning. Not even Iruka dared to say anything he didn't know nor did he ever care to ask. It was simply the design of all the shinobis in the village and it would seem to him that if he were to look for the spiral it would be the same as if he asked why the vest was greenish gray.
,, It is the symbol of the Uzumaki clan. The first hokage put this symbol on the vests of all ninja in Konoha as a symbol of friendship. The fact that ninjas still wear it is a sign that they certainly haven't forgotten about Uzushio."
At that moment, the bell rang for the lunch break, and for the first time the children did not rush out, but slowly divided looked at each other a then slowly go outside the classroom with their lunches. There were only two sensei in the classroom and of course Tsuki who took the opportunity to approach Maxi for some attention and a scratch, which she immediately responded to. ,, Maxi-san. About what you told the students." Maxi just let out an acknowledged sound without turning to him as she continued to convince Tsuki to get up so they could leave. ,, I think that was a little too much for them..." At that Maxi turned sharply to Iruka with a gentle look and a small smile as she spoke.
"It's nice to see that you care so much about them. But they're smart kids, so it's better that they know what the world is like than live in a delusion. "It's better to be a warrior in the garden than a gardener in the war." that's what my grandfather often said." That's how their conversation ended, with her leaving the classroom together with Tsuki, leaving him speechless.
During lunch in the chunin room, the other colleagues questioned Iruka non-stop about their new colleague. Most of them asked about whether she was problematic like Naruto and whether she was discriminating or if she tried to somehow stop the lecture. Of course, the answers to their questions were anything but expected. Maxi did teach most of the time as Iruka wanted her to see her interact with the whole class. She gave answers to every question asked, regardless of whether they were related to the lesson or not, and she constantly tried to somehow connect each answer with today's lesson.
Of course, there were some uncomfortable touching questions to which she answered all the same and kept an open mind without taking anything for granted. They even covered more material than planned and no one fell asleep in class, not even Shikamaru, nor did anyone try to escape this time and everyone participated and asked at least two questions. When she mentioned Konoha's betrayal, he was worried for a moment but somehow Maxi turned everything around. Explaining that a decision made during the war does not mean that it was desired. And what was most important was that she did not show any hatred towards Konoha even though she had an absolute right to do so.
,, What's all the fuss?" Sandaime spoke up making the whole room fall silent. Everyone bowed to the Sandaime and he dismissed them asking Iruka to join him in the little time left from their lunch break. They walked for a few minutes until they moved away from the rest of the chunins and the Sandaime was sure that no one would eavesdrop on them knowing all too well how gossip comes about. "I know it's too early to ask, but how is our new kunoichi doing?" Hiruzen asked, exhaling smoke from his lungs and looking through the window directly into the courtyard. Iruka stood next to him seeing that in the courtyard almost his entire class was sitting on a blanket with their almost finished lunches in a circle along with Maxi who was leaning on Tsuki who was still chomping on a pile of meat.
Everyone was laughing and interacting with each other. Shikamaru was playing shogi against Maxi while she was on her right braiding Ino's hair in similar still to hers, while waiting for Šikamaru to make a next move in the game. Naruto and Kiba nestled around Tsuki scratching him and playing with his fur. The rest of the girls seemed to be waiting in line behind Ino to get their hair done while Shino, Sasuke, Choji and the other boys watched the game and took turns asking Max and Shikamaru questions. There were random group laughs and giggles, all in all they seemed to be having a good time which made Iruka and the Sandaime happy.
,, I think you can see for yourself Sandaime-sama." Hiruzen felt joy at seeing the whole class get along so nicely, even if it was just out of curiosity about the new,, exotic,, sensei. ,, Sandaime-sama. I actually have one question. Is it true that Konoha didn't help Uzushio during it's destruction?" It was an understatement to say that Hiruzen was shocked by what left Iruka's mouth. It is not expected that as long as he lives he will ever have to deal with this subject again. The situation was very difficult during the war, but there was a way to send help but Hiruzen didn't want to take any chances. As Sandaime his duty was to always put Konoha first, then the others, in this case unfortunately it was Uzushio who paid the price for his steadfastness. "But how did she find out about it?" He watched in astonishment as the Kunoichi laughed with the children as if she didn't have a care in the world, but deep inside she was haunted by the fact that she must be longing for her home.
After receiving reports and a couple of messages from Jiraiya who had a better understanding of Time-Space jutsus and seals. He hoped that with his help they might be able to complete the mission and help Maxi get back. But if you consider that she managed to dig up information that almost no one knew about and that was well guarded, there were three possibilities. To eliminate her, to send her back as soon as possible and in the meantime to keep her under constant surveillance with no exceptions this time or to use her talent for gathering information. Unfortunately, only time could answer that.
"Unfortunately, it is true. How did the kids react to that news." Hiruzen asked not knowing what to say to Naruto the next time he saw him if he started to suspect his village. What if this compromised the seal somehow and the nine tails came out again. ,, At first they were shocked, especially Naruto. But Maxi immediately explained to them that some decisions have to be made no matter how difficult they were. But she also assured them that we had not forgotten about Uzushio and that they still carry the symbol of their clan on ninja uniforms, and surely will look at them in a new light and probably with pride." Iruka said. The Sandaime was pleased that Maxi had somehow corrected or even slightly mitigated the situation she had created.
That girl, even after his walk with Inoichi in her mind, was still feel like he need to be cautious around her. She was as unpredictable as the wind, and her thoughts were almost elusive from what the clan leader Yamanaka had said. The bell rang for the end of class which made Iruka hurry to get his equipment as it was his turn to practice shurikenjutsu.
Hiruzen decided to stay and monitor the situation for a while to see if the situation would again lead to any S rank secrets being revealed. With his light step, he slowly moved towards the training field behind the academy, giving enough time for the whole class to gather and start the lesson. Of course, Hiruzen didn't plan to reveal his presence to anyone, not even Iruka, who apologized and left him to his,, tour, of the academy.
Sasuke began to slowly understand why Itachi liked spending time with Maxi-nee. She wasn't boring like most sensei's and she also taught information that he couldn't find anywhere in books or did the clan taught him. He was literally flipping through the pages of the book during class and he couldn't find half of what she said, so he quickly took notes. Unlike the others, Sasuke already knew that Maxi was an Uzumaki, even from the moment he met her with his brother and his mother in the shop area.
At first he thought she was a snob like Naruto so he didn't care to show her any respect, especially when she had the audacity to scold his older brother. Itachi was the strongest shinobi in the clan next to Shisui so he didn't need a girl to babysit him. But his mother and Itachi valued her opinion. Even Itachi obeyed her and for the next few days he actually rested which was incredibly rare. He couldn't complain about that because Itachi used it to help him with his training, which he had less and less time for lately.
She also didn't seem to fear the Uchiha or hold anything against them like most of the village still thought they were to blame for the Nine-Tails attack. He also doesn't remember the last time his mother was so excited about a visit or when someone would come to visit. His father hadn't even met her yet, but he had no problem with her visiting their compound. It probably has something to do with Kagami himself risking his life trying to save Uzushio. At least that's what Sasuke thought considering what Maxi had said about the Uzumaki clan. Most of the times when she would visit them, Sasuke would already be heavily in training, and if he stayed with his mother and Maxi-nee, she would give him advice on his training. She even showed him a couple of moves from a taijutsu style called tiger kung fu.
He had to admit that he was more comfortable with it then with the swift paw style, one of his clan's styles. During the lunch break, she decided to sit with them outside with the whole class. He liked it for a change that the girls didn't crowd around him and let him breathe and interact with others normally if he wanted to. And for the first time, he was thankful that the girls cared so much about their appearance that they didn't bother to move away from Maxi-nee so as not to lose their place in the hair line, giving him more than enough peace to watch the game between Shikamaru and her.
He played shogi with Shikamaru a couple of times and never won, as he was still proud. What broke him even more was that Maxi-nee, who for the first time received full explanation of all the rules of the game, played better than him who had to know because it was one of the traditions of the clan.
They were currently preparing to begin their shurinkenjutsu demonstration, which he hoped would go better than when Iruka-sensei had first taken over their class. "Alright, you all know the drill. When I call you, you will demonstrate your skills then continue with practice on another target, and after that, we will do a test of your ninjutsu skills as well." Everyone agreed and Maxi started calling out the list of his classmates.
,, Aburame Shino." Shino started talking in his monotone and emotionless voice without standing out from the crowd. For the rest, it wasn't even necessary because his insects started to crawl around him in crawls on his face. ,, I'm afraid I won't be able to sensei. You see, my clan relies solely on our insects that we carry inside us..." Early on, this was uncomfortable for most to hear. Luckily, Maxi-nee stopped him, but not the way Iruka-sensei did last time. ,, No-no. Wrong answer Shino." she told him walking up to him not paying attention to his insects landing on her skin and for some reason staying on her.
"Most insects are sensitive to water and wind styles of jutsu." Picking up a few of his kikaichu from her skin and with Shino's permission she took them with her making space between the children and her. She asked Iruku-sensei to use the water style of ninjutsu to create a simulation to which he reluctantly agreed, but first making Maxi promise not to exaggerate because they were on academy property not the right fighting ground. Maxi made the first move using a senbo targeting Iruku-sensei who defended himself with a water summon that deflected the path of all the senbo landing around him. The next second the two closest needles transformed into insects and attacked Iruka-sesnsei who immediately began to panic as his jutsu stopped and disappeared as he lost his concentration. And it seemed that he was not some kind of insect lover.
,, With the technique of transforming your insects into kunai and senbu, you get an element of surprise, a better position against water and wind techniques because the chakra acts like a shield on them, and the efficiency is greater because you don't have to use a large number or sacrifice your insects in this way." Maxi was walking back to them with several kunai in her hand holding out Shino who watched for a few seconds and finally moved into the aiming position with Maxi.
She and the now composed Iruka-sensei explained how to use kunai most effectively. None of them were close to the center, but at least most of them hit the target, which was enough to start with. After a couple of attempts, Shino switched to the targets at the far end of the pitch as they continued calling names. Of course Kiba and Naruto insisted on going across the line, but they were given a notepad in their heads and a threat that if they didn't stay quiet they would sit for class, which immediately silenced them.
,, Uchiha Sasuke." Immediately at the mention of his name, almost all the girls in the class screamed and squealed in cheering and him who went into battle not throwing kunai. Of course Maxi repeated the action with the notepad saying that they were no exception to the rule either , regardless if they were girls or not. Sasuke hit the center of each target on the first try but Maxi didn't let him move but adjusted his wrist to a different angle and changed the way he held the kunai slightly . This time the kunai went deeper into the target and there was even a snapping sound and you coud see wood cracking . It was obvious that the changes had given him extra power.
He didn't need to be told, but he ran to the other practice targets himself, ready to practice his new shooting style. Everyone slowly spread out, continuing to practice with their shurikenjutsu, while some, in the group of girls, stayed longer with Maxi-nee, who gave them a lesson on behavior during training and paying attention to their surroundings when working with weapons and not stare at the boys. After almost an hour of non-stop practice, the sensei called them to continue with the ninjutsu techniques which made everyone more excited.
They all gathered in a circle, preparing to unleash the Academic Three Techniques one by one. Of course, most had more or less problems with at least one technique, so Iruka-sensei and Maxi-nee explained each technique at least twice. "Uzumaki Naruto." Naruto confidently stepped into the center of the circle pleasantly surprising everyone by not using his sexy technique but Iruka-sensei's true transformation technique. When he came to the clone technique, there were ten pale copies of him standing next to him, "Not bad."
Maxi commented as she took notes surprising the other students as well as Iruka who spoke up. ,, I think you are too optimistic Maxi-san. Clones are useless." This time Iruka took a hit from the tablet and a note to the head as the others were surprised and Tsuki rolled around laughing. "Of course they are useless. It's a wonder he made clones with considering how much chakra the boy has." Silence filled the field and you could even hear the crickets, while everyone looked at her dumbfounded. Even Iruka didn't understand what she was talking about and she didn't care but focused on Naruto who was looking at her confused and seemed like he wanted to ask a thousand questions.
,, Simply put, Naruto has a huge amount of chakra that is very difficult to control to the point of making a clone. He's literally a walking chakra power house, for god's sake." it was becoming clearer to the others as well as Naruto who seemed to be in a better mood with what Maxi-nee said and the kids couldn't help but laugh at him being stupid. Of course this was makeing Iruku-sensei feeling embarrassed. He had known Naruto longer than her and she had already noticed the problem Naruto had with the technique.
"Sandaime-sama, can I make a suggestion!" Maxi-nee shouted towards a corner of the field where the Sandaime had been standing inconspicuously watching them for who knows how long. With a surprised look he walked over to the others who were greeting him and then turned to Maxi.,, How long have you known I've been here Maxi-san." Maxi-nee looked at him with a smile inviting Tsuki to come over to say hello. Tsuki poked his head in her stomach caressing as the girl replied, "Tsuki smelled you from the start?" it answered more than one question but not all.
,,, What did you want to suggest." Maxi took a few steps away from Tsuki with the words, "Shadow Clone Technique." For a few seconds Iruka-sensei and the Sandaime stood frozen in complete shock before they snapped out of it and asked Maxi-nee. "You're kidding, aren't you?" But Maxi-nee seemed dead serious, irritated at the two men in front of her for dismissing her idea, just like that. The other kids were confused, not understanding what it was all about, and whispered about what Maxi-nee suggested especially when Iruka-sensei and the Sandaime were so against it as if it was something dangerous.
,, I hope you understand, Maxi-san, that the technique you are recommending is a B-rank technique and is forbidden to genin for a reason and only very experienced chunin and higher ranks are allowed to use the technique for a reason. By the way the technique is kept in a forbidden scroll and only with my permission or the clan head can the technique be transferred to someone." Maxi seemed unimpressed with his answer as she looked from the Sandaime to Iruka who was looking away from her feeling uncomfortable looking into her eyes ,, Why would a loser need that technique, if it is dangerous?" Sasuke asked her which immediately caused an uproar from Naruto who immediately started firing back with various insults which Sasuke ignored and concentrated only on the answer.
Maxi first poked him in the forehead which surprised the female population around them who started to complain that Maxi-sensei shouldn't be punishing Sasuke at all when it was Naruto's fault according to her but she calmed them down with just a sideways glance. ,, It's not nice to call your classmates loser Sasuke- kun, and Naruto-kun you don't have to answer every insult. Both of you are apologize, now."
Normally Sasuke wouldn't apologize to anyone but he promised to listen to Maxi-nee even if he didn't like her because if not there was always a chance to break the news to his mother and the last time he insulted her he almost ended up getting punished .Miraculously, Naruto didn't make much of a fuss about it, but it was obvious on his face that he and Sasuke were apologizing against their will and the Sandaime was pleasantly surprised by this behavior from the little blond.
,, Now the answer to your question. The technique is considered dangerous because it requires a large amount of chakra to perform and maintain. So anyone with less chakra than the average jonin is in danger of chakra exhaustion. Naruto has more chakra than three jonin combined so this technique is not dangerous for him." Sasuke nodded understanding the reasoned suggestion.
In the end, it turned out that Naruto was not untalented, but that he was taught the wrong way. They treated his chakra reserves like other genins, when in truth they were beyond all limits of normal. Of course, not everyone agreed on this, especially the majority of the class who wanted to learn some super cool jutsu, while others like Hinata, Sikamaru, Kiba thought that this would only equalize everyone's chances of passing the academy.
"The discussion about this is illogical. All of us can perform the clone technique except Naruto and he can perform the shadow clone while we can't. So it would be fair to let Naruto learn the technique." Shino reasoned from his point of view, to which the troublemakers slowly began to fall silent as the Sandaime and Iruka - almost telepathically - agreed on the proper course of action. ,, In that case I will send one of the jonin at the end of the week to show the technique to Naruto..." Unable to finish the sentence as Maxi took a stand a few steps away from everyone and performed the technique at high speed. In a second, three shadow clones formed in front of everyone, randomly moving as they pleased.
Everyone was surprised especially the Sandaime who was looking directly at the clones trying to figure out which one was the original but without much luck. A few moments later Maxi-nee disbanded the clones leaving Sasuke and the other students amazed and surprised. ,, There will be no need for Sandaime-sama. Thanks to the jerks who attack me almost every morning I managed to pick up the technique or two on my own." This definitely promised that the academy wouldn't be boring at all as long as Maxi-nee was with them.
