It was another basic morning, birds were tweeting, the sun rising and the moon was setting, you could say it was the perfect morning!
Well, not for soviet. He was the top detective in a case he had been itching to solve for YEARS, he pulled another all-nighter trying to pin down the thief who was just unpredictable and dangerous, since the thief set off a massive explosion on a building, nearly killing and injuring half of the city at the time. Impressive, sure, but he wasn't there to praise the damn guy, he needed them to get out of the picture, to leave the city alone and terrorize another.
And the sleepless nights he spent meeting dead ends and failing most of the time, literally didn't help. Until he heard a knock on the door, he sighed deeply before standing up and walking over to the door, opening it to reveal one of the cops he worked with. "sir, we had an anonymous source give a lead on your case, we think that it's the thief leading you to-" the cop was cut off as Soviet seemed to focus on the fact it was another lead, something he could finally follow and catch the fucking villain. "nevermind that, I dont care if its dangerous, its a lead. Something I can finally follow to catch the cunt." he interrupted, most of the people working with him knew how easily he could fall for something, especially if it was a lead or something.. he doesnt exactly focus on his health, to say the least.
"uhm.. a-alright, well.. the source tells us that the uhm.. thief is planning on stealing another valuable item, sometime in the evening? i.. uh.. I recommend bringing a gun, 'cause they could be dangerous." the cop replied, he was a bit hesitant to explain what the email had provided since it didn't take long for them to realize it was a trap, but Soviet wasn't listening. "...the evening? What a pussy, why can't they just come here and turn themselves in?"
"...it.. it doesn't work like that, sir."
"Well, it should."
"I think you need sleep, I mean.. when was the last time you slept?"
"сон – для слабаков." (sleeping is for weaklings.)
...After a bit of bickering between the cop and Soviet, eventually, Soviet took a break and was forced to sit around, something he wasn't a fan of, yet here he was, forced to take a break before even getting the thief. He was like a five-year-old, unable to stay still, needing to move around, to do something he was working on, yet he was bound. If he tried leaving the station, he'd be forced to be put back in his spot, it was honestly annoying for him.
MEANWHILE.. with the thief, America was having fun watching Soviet being dragged back to his spot, making him forget about the fact that he was a literal criminal who had a bounty on his head. Plus, it was fun snooping around in the detective's office, his wings fluttered and occasionally slid things off his desk, but seeing the crazy amounts of papers and other stuff, he decided to organize it, which didn't take him long, leaving a note behind in the office, hidden away, and taking the pen with him, before it struck the time he was going to FINALLY meet the handsome detective face to face, which excited him.

Thank you sm for reading this!! I didn't know if this was a good place to introduce them, plus, leaving it on a cliffhanger would be better.
