Chapter 2

Disclaimer: I don't own the dragonball franchise.

Gine, now in Zamasu's body, struggled against the pain of the energy blast. Her vision blurred, but she managed to roll away just as another surge of power struck the ground where she had lain moments before. The earth trembled under the impact, sending shards of rock and dirt flying.

"You won't escape me that easily," Zamasu sneered, his voice echoing from Gine's lips. He advanced, each step deliberate, as if relishing the moment. "This body is quite powerful. Imagine what I can do with it."

Gine pushed herself up, her new green hands trembling. She knew she had to act fast; every second counted. With a burst of adrenaline, she lunged forward, aiming for Zamasu's legs. The move caught him off guard, and he stumbled backward, giving Gine a momentary advantage.

Using the momentum, Gine sprinted towards the edge of the field, hoping to find help or at least a way to alert someone. But Zamasu was quick to recover. He launched himself into the air, soaring over Gine and landing in front of her, blocking her path.

"Where do you think you're going?" Zamasu taunted, his eyes gleaming with malicious intent. "There's nowhere to run."

Gine halted, breathing heavily. She needed a plan, something to turn the tables. "Why are you doing this? What have we ever done to you?"

Zamasu chuckled, a chilling sound coming from Gine's body. "It's not what you've done; it's what you represent. Mortals are weak, fleeting beings. You taint the universe with your existence. And Goku... he dared to challenge the natural order."

"So you steal my body and plan to kill us all just because you hate mortals?" Gine retorted, trying to buy time, to think.

"Exactly," Zamasu replied, his tone growing impatient. "And now, I will eliminate the source of Goku's strength—his family."

With that, Zamasu charged, his movements fluid and deadly. Gine barely dodged the first attack, feeling the wind rush past her as Zamasu's fist collided with the air. She retaliated with a swift kick, connecting solidly with Zamasu's side. The force of the impact sent him skidding across the ground, but he quickly regained his footing.

"Impressive," Zamasu admitted, rubbing his side. "But you can't keep this up forever."

Gine didn't respond; she was too focused on staying alive. She feinted left, then darted right, attempting to confuse Zamasu. It worked momentarily, but he adapted quickly, anticipating her moves with increasing accuracy.

As they clashed again, Gine felt a surge of desperation. She needed a distraction, something to give her an edge. Her eyes scanned the surroundings, landing on a nearby boulder. Summoning her remaining strength, she channeled her ki, preparing a powerful energy blast.

"What are you doing?" Zamasu asked, sensing the buildup of energy.

"This," Gine said through gritted teeth, releasing the blast directly at the boulder. The explosion rocked the ground, sending debris flying in all directions. Zamasu shielded his eyes, momentarily blinded by the dust and smoke.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Gine sprinted towards the commotion, shouting at the top of her lungs. "Help! Someone, help!"

Her cries echoed through the air, mingling with the sounds of battle. She prayed that someone would hear her, that help would arrive soon. But as the dust settled, she saw Zamasu emerging from the cloud, his expression one of pure rage.

"You really are persistent," he growled, cracking his knuckles. "But it's time to end this."

Gine braced herself, knowing the next few moments could determine her fate—and perhaps the fate of everyone she loved.
