Chapter 3.

Disclaimer: I don't own Dragonball. Nuff said.

Gine's heart pounded in her chest as she faced Zamasu, now more determined than ever to survive this ordeal. The air around them crackled with tension, each moment stretching into an eternity of suspense.

"You think you can defeat me?" Zamasu taunted, his voice dripping with malice. "I am a god, Gine. You are nothing but a mortal."

Ignoring his words, Gine focused on finding any weakness, any opening that could turn the tide in her favor. She knew she couldn't match Zamasu's power directly, but perhaps she could outsmart him.

With a swift motion, Gine feinted left, then twisted her body to the right, aiming a powerful kick at Zamasu's midsection. He blocked it with ease, his armored forearm absorbing the impact without flinching. Before she could react, he retaliated with a swift uppercut that caught Gine off guard, sending her flying backward.

Landing hard on the ground, Gine felt a sharp pain radiate through her body. Gritting her teeth, she pushed herself up, refusing to give Zamasu the satisfaction of seeing her defeated.

"Is that all you've got?" Zamasu sneered, advancing slowly, his steps measured and confident. "You're weaker than I thought."

Gine's mind raced, searching for a solution. Her eyes darted around, taking in her surroundings. In the distance, she spotted a dense cluster of trees, their branches intertwining like a natural fortress. An idea began to form in her mind.

Summoning her remaining strength, Gine launched herself forward, her movements erratic and unpredictable. Zamasu was momentarily caught off guard by her sudden burst of speed. She dodged his attacks with agility, drawing closer to the trees with each passing second.

As they approached the forest, Gine used the terrain to her advantage. She leaped onto a thick tree trunk, using it as a springboard to launch herself at Zamasu. His eyes widened in surprise as she collided with him, both crashing to the ground in a tangle of limbs.

Struggling to maintain control, Gine managed to pin Zamasu beneath her, her hands gripping his wrists tightly. Their faces were inches apart, the intensity of the moment palpable.

"You may have my body," Gine panted, her breath hot against Zamasu's face, "but you'll never have my spirit."

Zamasu's expression twisted into one of rage. With a fierce effort, he bucked his hips, throwing Gine off balance. She tumbled away, landing amidst the underbrush. Before she could recover, Zamasu was upon her again, his fist aimed directly at her head.

Ducking just in time, Gine rolled to the side, feeling the whoosh of air as Zamasu's fist missed its mark. Scrambling to her feet, she sprinted deeper into the forest, using the cover of the trees to evade her pursuer.

The foliage provided some respite, but Gine knew it was only a matter of time before Zamasu caught up. She needed a plan, a way to not only escape but to reclaim her body. As she ran, her eyes scanned the surroundings, searching for anything that could help her.

Suddenly, her gaze fell upon a small clearing ahead. In the center stood a massive boulder, its surface smooth and worn by time. Inspiration struck, and Gine altered her course, heading straight for the boulder.

Reaching the clearing, she skidded to a halt beside the boulder, her hands pressed against its cool surface. Closing her eyes, she channeled her ki, feeling the energy flow through her veins. When she opened them again, determination burned bright within.

Zamasu emerged from the trees, his expression a mix of irritation and amusement. "Still running, Gine? It's futile. Surrender now, and I might spare your life."

Ignoring his taunts, Gine focused on her task. With a loud cry, she unleashed her ki, directing it towards the boulder. The stone trembled beneath her touch, slowly lifting off the ground. Sweat beaded on her forehead as she strained against the weight, her muscles quivering with the effort.

Seeing her intent, Zamasu's amusement turned to anger. "Enough games!" he roared, charging towards her with lethal intent.

Just as he reached her, Gine released the boulder, sending it hurtling towards Zamasu. He barely had time to react, his eyes widening in shock as the massive rock crashed down upon him. The impact reverberated through the clearing, sending dust and debris swirling into the air.

Panting heavily, Gine staggered back, her vision blurring with exhaustion. She watched as the dust settled, revealing Zamasu struggling beneath the boulder's weight. His arms shook, veins bulging as he fought to push the stone off.

"You... won't... win," Zamasu grunted, his voice, her voice, strained with effort.

Gine knew this was her chance. Summoning the last remnants of her strength, she lunged forward, her hands glowing with ki. Aiming for Zamasu's chest, she delivered a powerful blow, the force of which sent him crashing into the ground, the boulder rolling off him with a thunderous rumble.

Staggering back, Gine watched as Zamasu lay motionless, his body battered and broken. Relief washed over her, mingling with a surge of triumph. She had done it; she had survived.

But even as she celebrated her victory, a chilling realization dawned. Zamasu was still alive, his breathing shallow but steady. And if he regained consciousness, he would continue his rampage, endangering everyone she loved.

Clenching her fists, Gine made a decision. She couldn't risk leaving Zamasu alive. With heavy hearts, she prepared to deliver the final blow, ensuring his threat was permanently neutralized.

Even if she had to destroy her body to do it.

'Goodbye, body.' Gine thought mournfully.

As she stepped closer, ready to strike, a voice pierced the air, interrupting her thoughts.

"Stop!"

To be continue.
