In Chrysalis's lair...
Midoriya sat there feeling absolutely exhausted from all of the shocking that Chrysalis kept inflicting on him. He turned over to Uraraka who was trying to fight through the heavy feeling in her legs. Even her arms were almost impossible to swing around. He looked over at Bakugo who was looking practically frozen, along with the chains that were holding him down.
Bakugo's eyes met up with his, and Midoriya could tell that he was really struggling the most. His heavy breathing had icy breath, and he was shivering profusely. He really wished he could do something to help him out of here.
Midoriya locked eyes onto his Miraculous. Chrysalis still wore it around her belt. He had to get it from her somehow. There wasn't anything around him that he could use.
"Are you wannabe heroes done now?" Chrysalis asked them.
None of them dared to say anything to her, not even Bakugo. Midoriya lifted his head and noticed one of the Miraculous glowing a subtle pink. He knew he had to get them out now.
"Ladybug and Cat Noir will be here soon," Midoriya said to her, "You really want them to find you doing this to us? They'll take you down so easily and get us out of here."
Chrysalis didn't even flinch or budge. She just stood there, looking directly at him.
"They won't get here in time. I'll at least get one of their quirks before they show up," Chrysalis said to them, "Besides, them showing up just helps me in the long run. More quirks, more Miraculous."
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Bakugo growled at her, shocking Midoriya and Uraraka, "You take the Butterfly and other Miraculous from Ladybug, you got us locked in here, try to take Uraraka's quirk, and you still want more quirks and Miraculous?! You don't want to go our Japan, you just want to take quirks and Miraculous and keep them all to yourself!"
Midoriya and Uraraka were shocked to hear this, especially Midoriya. He knew she was planning something, but he didn't know it was anywhere near this. He knew she wouldn't be able to get away with it, quirks were so different and more powerful back in their Japan. But that didn't mean that he wasn't worried about his friends.
"And if I really was planning that? You really think I could get away with that?" Chrysalis said to Bakugo, "Please, I'm not that stupid."
She pressed a button, causing the chains around Bakugo to freeze him even more. Bakugo's eyes widened, feeling unbelievably cold that he couldn't even move. Not even a little. He even started to get frostbite around his wrists and ankles.
"Yo-You bit-bitch..." Bakugo growled while shivering profusely, "Yo-You'll pa-pay f-for th-this..."
Midoriya stood up and pulled at the chains once more. He reached as far as he could, trying to break free. She pressed the button, and Midoriya felt a strong shock again. This time however, he kept pulling at the chains. He felt a shock and flinched, but kept going at it.
"Lila, stop hurting Kacchan!" Midoriya cried out, "Or you'll regret it! You have no idea what're getting yourself into!"
Chrysalis turned off the machine, but not because she cared about what he had to say. She had spotted one of the Miraculous glowing pink slightly. She slowly grinned from ear to ear.
Midoriya noticed that she saw Uraraka's quirk glow subtly in one of the Miraculous. He looked over at Uraraka, and she looked absolutely terrified. He knew that she didn't take all of it, but he still didn't like where this was going.
Chrysalis pressed a couple of buttons as she looked at Bakugo. She knew that just by looking at him that he wasn't going anywhere any time soon.
Midoriya's eyes widened when he spotted Chrysalis looking right at him. Bakugo tried to produce a spark or some sort of explosion, but he couldn't feel his fingers anymore. Midoriya tried to get out of his chains, but he kept getting shocked again and again.
Midoriya couldn't stand the thought of Bakugo losing his quirk, especially in the hands of Chrysalis. He could see in Bakugo's eyes that he wasn't ready for any of this.
"Chrysalis, you don't know what you are doing!" Uraraka cried out as she tried to fight off the heavy chains.
"You leave his quirk alone! It's Kacchan's quirk, not yours!" Midoriya cried out with tears in his eyes.
"Yo-You'll r-regret th-this, C-Caterp-pillar," Bakugo growled at her, still shivering.
Right before she could press the button however, HawkMoth came flying into the lair. He landed swiftly with someone in his arms. Chrysalis was mere inches away from pressing the button and turned to face him.
Midoriya, Uraraka and Bakugo all let out a long sigh of relief, even if Bakugo still felt freezing.
"It seems that you came here without Miss Hound and King Monkey," Chrysalis said to him.
Her sly smile grew wide when she noticed who he brought over. HawkMoth let go of Adrien, but still held his wrist. Adrien looked like he was trying to fight him off somewhat.
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock to see Adrien standing before him. Uraraka and Bakugo definitely didn't expect him to show up detransformed. Midoriya had a bad feeling something must've went down between them.
"Adrien, it's so nice to see you again," Chrysalis greeted him as she leaned onto the machine, "I'm so glad you could come to my new lair. It's looks so much better than your dad's, doesn't it?"
Adrien looked around and spotted Midoriya, Uraraka and Bakugo right away. Midoriya could tell that he was trying not to freak out since Chrysalis didn't know that he was Cat Noir. HawkMoth's eyes were locked onto him, so Adrien felt a little uncomfortable being around him.
"Wh-Who are you?" Adrien asked her, playing it off for a bit, "I don't know you. You look like a rip off of HawkMoth."
Midoriya, Uraraka and Bakugo tried to hold back laughter, but Chrysalis noticed right away. She clenched her teeth, but grabbed her cane like a sword and swung it towards Adrien.
"I'll let that slide since you are Adrien, and I would never want to hurt you. You know, we use to be friends. Until that insect came in and ruined everything!" Chrysalis said to him.
"Li-Lila?!" Adrien cried out.
Midoriya was surprised that he hadn't slipped up at this point. He locked onto his Miraculous for a moment. He really needed to grab it somehow, and then he'd be able to get out of the chains. He tried not to make a sound as Chrysalis slowly made her way towards him.
"You should see what your father has created. Well, I modified a bit, but it's still pretty cool!" Chrysalis said to him as she wrapped her arm around him.
She dragged Adrien towards the machine, making him really uncomfortable. Once he got closer to his friends, he almost ran over to them to try to get them out of there. Especially Bakugo who looked like he had frostbite. Adrien didn't know what to do in that moment.
"Wha-What are you doing to them?!" Adrien cried out, absolutely dumbfounded.
"Isn't it cool? Your father made more Miraculous! He and I have found a way to take their quirks and turn them into Miraculous!" She exclaimed.
Adrien felt sick to his stomach when she showed him the two rings. One of them already had a subtle pink glow to it, clearly unfinished. He really felt like he needed to do something to stop this from happening, but something was stopping him from doing so.
Adrien slowly felt his fists clenching, finally feeling something coming back to him. His eyes were so full of anger that he didn't know what to do with it.
"Adrien, can't you see what I'm trying to do? These wannabe heroes just don't belong here. They came here out of no where and think they can just do whatever they want. Even Ladybug and Cat Noir don't seem to understand anything about them--"
"Are you kidding me?!" Adrien yelled out, echoing the entire warehouse.
The silence was so tense that Midoriya was so nervous to even watch them face each other.
"You have no idea what you're doing! These wannabe heroes are here to help, and all you care about is taking their quirks! Ladybug and Cat Noir are coming any moment now, Chrysalis. You have to stop this, now!"
Chrysalis was a bit shocked to see him so angry, she even lowered her cane to face him. She walked up to him and circled around him like a vulture.
"HawkMoth, you must be proud of your son. Standing up to someone like me," She said to him, "He's strong willed, passionate. Not to mention, cute."
Then, Chrysalis gripped onto his collar and pulled him in closer to her. She threw him across the floor and hit against the machine. HawkMoth was about to intervene, but she swung her cane in front of him. She gave him a side glance and he stopped in his tracks.
"If you intervene with any of this, I'll tell him the truth," Chrysalis said to HawkMoth.
Adrien stood up as he leaned against the machine. He spotted something around her belt.
It was Midoriya's Miraculous.
His eyes locked onto it and knew what he had to do.
"The truth...?" Adrien asked back, "What is she talking about, father?"
HawkMoth didn't even bother saying a word to him. Chrysalis walked up to Adrien, noticing something about him that didn't seemed to add up.
"He's been keeping things from you, Adrien. Things that would change everything you know about yourself," Chrysalis said to him.
Adrien froze in place, but looked down at the Miraculous around her belt. It dangled close enough for him to grab. He tried to take it from her right then and there.
"Chrysalis, stop this! Now!" HawkMoth growled at her.
Chrysalis knew now wasn't the time for that and backed off a bit. She locked eyes onto his ring that he wore around his finger and let a sly smile slip out. She leaned in closer to his ear to whisper something to him.
"You know, I never told you my villain name. How do you know what it is?"
Adrien flinched for a moment, feeling sweat run down his forehead. She got so close that her cane was right up against his chest.
"It's funny. It seems that I know two secrets between you and your father now. Then again, I have a feeling he already knows about it," She whispered to him.
Adrien felt his knees begin to buckle, but he somehow kept himself composed. She began to distance herself from him and turned to HawkMoth. She felt something off, but noticed it too late.
Midoriya's Miraculous was missing from her belt.
She whipped around to see Adrien holding it in his hand. He felt himself take a step back, almost losing his grip on it.
"Izuku, catch!" Adrien called out as he threw the Miraculous over to him.
The Miraculous fell in front of him, shocking to see it once more. Midoriya quickly tried to get it, but it was just out of arms length.
"Adrien! What do you think you're doing?!" Chrysalis cried out in anger as she stomped over to him.
"Doing what I did to my father! Standing up to you!" Adrien yelled at her.
He was about to transform right in front of them, when he felt that same tug coming from HawkMoth. Suddenly, he couldn't move and stiffened up a bit. He tried to get a good look at his father, but all he could see was the ring that he had thrown at him a long time ago. HawkMoth kept rubbing it, as if it were comforting to him. Something about it gave him such an uneasy feeling.
"Adrien, I order you to stop this at once! You're being foolish," HawkMoth demanded.
Adrien tried to look back at Midoriya, but he noticed that he couldn't reach the Miraculous. He could still clench his fists, but that was about it. He felt like he had no choice but to listen to his father, even if he didn't want to.
Then he remembered everything he had done to his friends. That same feeling he had back at the school started to come back again. His arm started to get that pulsing feeling even if he wasn't transformed into Cat Noir.
"N-N-No father! There's no way I'd ever listen to you ever again!" Adrien cried out.
He stomped on the ground, feeling that tug loosen up and disappear. Something about that moment felt really good, and Adrien gave his father a satisfying smirk.
"Plagg, Claws Out!"
Adrien had transformed right in front of Chrysalis and HawkMoth. He faced them both, but knew he couldn't take them on by himself. In a quick flash, he ran over to Midoriya. Chrysalis noticed what was going on and released an akuma. Cat Noir reached out to Midoriya's Miraculous and threw it at him. Before he could call out cataclysm to destroy the chains, an akuma got in the way and got him to back up.
Chrysalis tried to fight him off with her cane, but he blocked her with his baton. Cat Noir had his eyes locked onto the akuma the whole time, which made things a little more difficult. HawkMoth was about to go after Midoriya, but Cat Noir ran over there in a flash. Both of them were shocked to see him running so fast, especially HawkMoth. Cat Noir threw a punch at his father, and it sent him across the lair.
"That's for Natalie," Cat Noir growled.
Cat Noir then turned over to Chrysalis. She was already at the machine, looking a little desperate. He looked back at Midoriya, and he had already clipped the Miraculous into place. Cat Noir turned back to her with eyes full of rage.
"It's over, Chrysalis," Cat Noir growled at her, "Give up."
Chrysalis had pushed a couple of buttons, causing all of the chains to tighten quite a bit. There was even another burst of an icy cold blast coming from Bakugo's.
"Kacchan!" Midoriya cried out and transformed.
Midoriya tried to break out of the chains again, but all it did was barely make a crack in the wall behind him.
"No way, Cat Noir! You can't stop this machine now!"
Chrysalis pressed a button, and Bakugo's chains began to glow orange. The glowing orange slowly ran up the chains, through the wall and into the machine.
Cat Noir's eyes widened in shock as he watched Bakugo's quirk being taken away. He ran up to him and called out cataclysm. Before he could use it however, he felt a sudden tug that pulled him into the air. He was suddenly facing his father, with his hand using some sort of invisible grip on him. He couldn't break out of it, and his father's eyes looked furious.
"Adrien, I am warning you. This is not going to end well if you don't help us," HawkMoth demanded, "Stand down!"
Cat Noir looked over at Midoriya who was still trying to break free from the chains. He had cracked the wall quite a bit, but was still being shocked by Chrysalis. She wasn't giving him any time to use One for All. He really needed help from Ladybug and the others right about now.
"N-No father... This is wrong... and you know it..." Cat Noir growled at him.
HawkMoth stared daggers at him, and his grip tightened around him even more.
Cat Noir could hear Midoriya calling out for Bakugo, trying to break free from the chains. He tried to move even just a little, but his father had his grip on him. HawkMoth wasn't letting him go anywhere.
"F-Father... Yo-You're h-hurting me..." Cat Noir said to him, "I-I need t-to help my fr-friends..."
"You don't understand! I'm trying to keep you safe, and then you go and become someone like Cat Noir! Not only that, but Chrysalis knows that you're--"
All of a sudden, a burst of the doors coming down in the warehouse made everyone turn around. Chrysalis and HawkMoth stared daggers at the ones who showed up even if they knew they were coming. Cat Noir looked over at the door and saw his friends. Midoriya never let up on the chains as he kept trying to get out of them.
Ladybug and her teammates stood there together, along with EraserHead and Class 1-A.
"Chrysalis, we're here to stop you!"
Another amazing chapter!
This one was a really fun one to write! Cat Noir has kind of taken over to the lair! He held his own for quite a while, but he started to falter a bit. It seems like HawkMoth is hiding something from Adrien. Hmm...? Chrysalis has found out Adrien is Cat Noir! Adrien was able to get Midoriya his Miraculous back, but unfortunately, Bakugo is in trouble!
I just wanted a reminder that HawkMoth is akumatized and is based off of the HawkMoth from the movie! He can do what he did in the movie, but can't akumatize anyone. He has this weird telekinesis thing going on when he akumatizes himself, and I wanted it to be like that! Maybe we'll even get a swarm of akumas at some point!
What's going to happen next??
More to come soon!
