It was a nice sunny day as a girl with long wavy brown hair reaching her shoulders wearing block nerd glasses, white shirt, black pants, and rainbow suspenders walked into the hospital. She looked around moving around to avoid the doctors and nurses passing through with patients. Walking up to the desk she looked at the reception lady typing away without glancing from the book she was reading. "Hello Avania. Here for your mother." Said the woman. "Yes. Monica. Is she available?" Said Avania. "She's almost done with her fifth test and will be at her room." Said Monica writing something on the clipboard. "Alright I can wait. I got a book report to finish aways and a fat hobo guy is sleeping in the bushes again." Said Avania walking through the doors. "God Damn Albert!" Said Monica then radios someone. Avania continued walked to elevator hitting the third floor and walked to the nine room. She took a seat pulling out her book and portable typewriter putting in a white sheet of paper to begin her report. It past an hour once the nurses brought in a thin brunette woman with needles attached to her. "I'll leave you two ladies be." Said the nurse. "How are you?" Said the woman in a whisper. "Im fine Mom. What about you? Did they find anything?" Said Avania. "No. But i written down more stuff on my book for Dad. Is he here?" Said the woman. "Hes waiting in the van." Said Avania. The woman hummed before very slowly pulling out a notebook handing it to her which she hid in her backpack. "What have you been up to?" Said The woman. "I have done experimenting with a man in the Crime Records. He was very impressed with my portal watch and Knuckles is teaching me more defense moves." Said Avania. "Thats nice." Said the woman before having a coughing fit. She grabbed her rag and spat out some drops of blood and sniffed. "Mom?" Said Avania concerned. "Im so sorry Marie b- oh god not again." Said the nurse then radios some back up. Sorry to cut visitations but this an emergency. Come by another time. Remember to wash ypur clothes and shower quickly by the time you get home." Said the nurse.
Avania collected her stuff as the doctors and nurses came in less than five minutes and left. She walked past the guard holding a stick to wake up Albert on her way to the end of the parking lot. Avania did a secret knock on the passenger door as it opened and a hand pulled her up shutting it quickly. "What happened?" Said The man wearing a biker clothes and shades. "Not good. Mom wrote her update before she started having a coughing fit until a bit of blood came out." Said Avania handing him the notebook. "Six years and still haven't found shit. If I wasn't busy then I march in there to kick that doctor's ass." Said The man. "You can't because of the AVL and Dad isn't coming to pick me up anytime." Said Avania. "Deadbeat Punk." Said the man driving into the street causing to cars to crash. He drove them to a drive thru waiting in line and looked at Avania. "How much?" Said The man. "two hundred, a diamond ring, and an expensive watch worth more than my braces." Said Avania handing it to him. She got handed five twenties with a diamond ring and the man the other hundred and watch. "Two combos and two Pepsis with extra fries." Said the man to the woman at the window. "Coming right up." Said the woman taking the fake ten dollars. She turned around to talk to an employee while the man grabbed the ten and more money front he register the went back to his spot as the cashier turned back. They got their food and sped out going home going to their space. Avania finished up her homework and her food about an hour ago as the man came in her room. "Alright im gonna be gone for a few days. Call me if its life threatening situation." Said the man. "Okay Grandpa Henry." Said Avania. "What was that?" Said the man. "I mean Papa Knuckles." Said Avania as Henry laughed rustling her hair. "I'll be back kiddo." Said Henry walking away. "Love you." Said Avania. "I love you too Metal Mouth." Said Henry on his way downstairs.
Once he was gone Avania pressed the glass of her watch to beep and a rainbow beam shot out of the stopper hitting the wall to open a portal to a pink house. She walked through it once it closed behind her seeing a boy with two yellow guys riding his bike to the pink house. "Hi Gru. Dave. Kevin." Said Avania seeing them pulling into the drive way. "Avi. Good to see you. How your mom?" Said Gru getting off. "Still sick. They havent found anything." Said Avania. "Sorry about that. Anyways i was working on a ray that spray cheese. Want to help with it?" Said Gru opening the door. "Sure. I got free time. Pops left to see some friends of his for a few days." Said Avania. "And theres no one watching you?" Said Gru as Dave and Kevin left to the basement. "Gru! I need you to do some chores around here and no slacking off. Hello Avania." Said a woman coming into the living room talking to Gru with annoyance to sweet looking at Avania. "Mrs. Gru." Said Avaina smiling at her. "You have meat stuck on your braces." Said Gru before he left to see the list in the kitchen. "Theres a pack toothpicks by the bread. I'll be in backyard with my boxing instructor." Said Mrs. Gru walking going past the kitchen to the back door. "Why does my mom hate me but likes you every time you come over?" Said Gru washing the dishes. "I dont really know." Said Avania going to the bread tray. She saw a small box and took out a toothpick before going to the bathroom to get it out. Later on Avania was in the basement with the minions working on the secret lair. She sat on the unfinished side of the basement and looked at the blueprints she made of her ideas. Her main one so far was a portable glider that move fast as a military jet. 'Do you want anything to drink?' Said one of the minions holding out a juice box. "No im good. Thanks anyways." Said Avania. She looked at fixed a few things until Gru came back from finishing his chores. They soon started working on building the cheese ray until Avania needed to back home to feed the animals.
