King Magnifico, Amaya by his side, stood proudly on streets of the market. Two women stood in front of him, and Magnifico reached for something under his cloak. A wish. He handed it to an ecstatic blonde, who absorbed its essence in her chest. Magnifico looked to her friend, who shook her head. Magnifico mouthed something, perhaps what a distant observer would guess was "Very well!", and smiled. He and Amaya turned back towards the castle.

In the bustling market, goods were bought, and children played. The local engineer held up his latest designs for a submarine to an olive-skinnned young man, who jumped and clapped for joy, right outside a unique new establishment had been set up: Star, Asha, and Valentino's House of Magic

Valentino stood on the lecturer's podium, Asha behind him and Star above him. Five students, three of whom were Asha's friends Dario, Bazeema, and Hal, listened.

"The core principle of magic is not one of instant gratification, but the reshaping and discipline of the mind. What today may seem incomprehensible to you will, through months of training, become second nature. Then, you will find new challenges to conquer, and once against feel your mind small and inadequate before them. But fear not, for..."

Asha gently put her hand on his back.

"I think they understand. Star?"

Star saluted with his stubby appendage and spawned a wand in each of their hands. They looked down at the devices with excitement.

"Now, on that table top I've set an apple for each of you. See if you can make it just a bit smaller than it currently is."

With that, the five eagerly cast their spells. One apple shrunk, two grew larger, one turned green, and another acquired a beautiful dress.

"You see?" Valentino said, turning back to Asha. "They still have a lot to learn."
