"Come on. Avania. You're not gonna die." Said Trevor leaning against the door to her room. "Shut up!" Said Avania throw her pillow at him. She grabbed her bag walking out wearing a light pink dress with polka dots over a white long sleeve with matching headband. "Don't you look cute." Said Trevor as Avania gave him a murderous look. "Oh your new grandma will love this." Said Blaire. "Now you will be staying with her for about a week and your dad is going to take Trevor and Bryce to all boys camping trip." Said Blaire. Avania followed her to the police car putting her bag on her lap and buckled in as they left the house. She looked forward boredly listening to the scanner during the very long drive and got in the neighborhood that she knew too well. "All right. This is the place come on." Said Blaire. They got out walking to the porch to find Blair pulling a key to unlock the door. "Forget to mention. My mom is deaf is ninty five percent but has very sharp eye sight. Sorry. MOM! IM HERE WITH YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER!" Blaire screamed loudly after shutting the door. "You don't need to whisper. I'm in the kitchen." Said an old woman coming with her walker. "Oh. What nice girl. Hello. I'm Nana Suzy." Said the elder seeing Avania. She looked at her admiring her features and noticed Blaire signing her. 'She's staying for about a week. And watch her.' Blaire signed before pecking her and Avania on the cheek before she left. 'Do you mind if I see my friend? He lives right down the street.' Avania signed. "Just don't get into too much trouble. My daughter told me about you. I'm gonna go take my meds and nap." Said Suzy as Avania nodded. She left her bag in the guest room and went over to Grus house knocking on the door. Mrs. Gru opened the door looking annoyed but smiled seeing her bring her in. "How have you been? Why didn't you come over like you used to?" Said Mrs. Gru. "I was grieving over my mom and Grandpa. Then later got adopted. Is Gru here?" Said Avania.
"He's in his room after taking a bath. And I'm so sorry that happened dear. You want lemonade or anything?" Said Mrs. Gru. "No. I just need a friend right now." Said Avania as Mrs Gru led her to Grus room. "Gru. Avania is here. You better be decent." Said Mrs. Gru before she left to her room. Gru opened his door and smiled before pulling her in his room closing it. "Where have you been?" Said Gru. "My mom and grandpa died a month ago and got adopted but I'm grounded at my new Grandma's across the street from you." Said Avania. "Sorry for that. But I got amazing news. I got an interview with the Vicious Five today." Said Gru. "What?!" Said Avania. "This is a dream coming true of learning from the best. I'm gonna need you with me in case the guys follow me." Said Gru. "Fine. But It take that long my new Grandma is out for who knows how long and will call my cop mother." Said Avania. "Oh that's sucks. But come on i wait get to my meeting on time." Said Gru going to the basement with her using his secret short cut in his closet. He got in first pulling down one of the hangers causing a secret trap door to open and slide down to his lair. Avalia went in but got her extra portal watch that she hid inside for emergencies and got to the lair through that. She saw the minions still working on the lair renovation while others were hearing Grus announcement of meeting the Vicious Five. While Gru was talking Avania pressed a button code to make the other watch that Blaire has to auto lock until she gets it back. She then saw the minions following Gru to the front but she stopped them. "Guys. Gru cant have all of you to the meeting. Its unprofessional and Mrs. Gru would most likely have Gru do more chores around the house." Said Avania. "Im gonna go with him and I'll call you guys if something happens." She says as the Minions agreed. Avania got out of the basement to the front yard and got on the handles to Grus bike. She held on as theu rode to the Crime Records store getting off as Gru locked up his bike.
"Good luck. Youre gonna need it." Said Avania as Gru went inside. She looked around and saw a black van pulled over across the street spotting Wold Knuckles getting out and go into the alley. Avania looked at Crime Records before running across the street to the alley seeing the fire escape. She checked got anyone watching and climbed up to the roof seeing Wild Knuckles using binoculars to see the Crime Records not seeing her approach him until she sat down next to him. "What are you doing here?" Said Knuckles. "My friend is in there doing an interview with your old friends. And you?" Said Avania. "Payback. I just need to wait for right moment to strike." Said Knuckles. "So what heist did they 'kill' you?" Said Avania as Knuckles looked at her. "It was to steal a Chinese medallion that has the power to turn into the New Year animals. That only works on years by midnight." Said Knuckles then the sound of alarms went off. They both looked down seeing Gru run out with a gold and green medallion and three minions hop on his bike getting away. "Is he that insane to actually steal from those a-" Avania was cut off by Knuckles covering her mouth with his hand as the Vicious Five went after Gru. "Lets go and your taking me where that friend of yours lives." Said Knuckles walking away. Avania followed him to the van getting in telling him the directions of where to go. "Youre not gonna mentally kill him right?" Said Avania. "If he survives from those five. Is this the place?" Said Knuckles pulling over across the street. "That pink house. And the one on the right is my new grandmothers who should be awake from her nap." Said Avania getting out but Knuckles pulled her back in for a second. "Im picking you up tonight to get the rest of your stuff." Said Knuckles. Avania nodded before hugging and gave his cheek a quick kiss before getting out heading inside through the open window and Knuckles driving out of the neighborhood.
