After the AVL were taken down by Vicious Five after using the Medallion to transform. Avania was tied up dangling upsidedown to the roof of the clock tower where Gru was tied to the hands of the hour and minutes. She struggled to loosen the ropes and screamed after Belle Bottom blew fire close to her as a warning shot. "Don't think I forgot your little escape. You're and your friend are going to pay. Once he's ripped apart. We got got score to settle with you and it's not going to be fun for you." Said Belle Bottom getting to her face. "I'm not a idiot. You disgusting Godzilla reject that had sex with a reindeer." Said Avania. "Mini Boss! Avan!" Said Kevin with Bob and Stuart behind him. Oh. Let's make this a fair fight." Said Belle Bottom turning them into a bunny, ram, and rooster. "You thought I was serious." She says before blew fire on the streets. Avania looked at the rope that was looped on the curve of the roof and heard Knuckles. "You may leave me for dead. But I'm not letting you hurt those kids." Said Knuckles. "Oh you're going to save them. You and what army?" Said Belle Bottom. Avania swung her body back and forth until the rope slowly started to wear out and break. She screamed as it broke mid swing falling straight down until Knuckles caught her doing a sumo roll. "You okay?" Said Knuckles checking on her. "Worry about that later. Lets stop them. I'm going for my plasma blower." Said Avania running off. Knuckle was about her stop her but he quickly grabbed a garage lid as Belle Bottom blew fire at him. He kept on avoiding the blast until a blue energy hit Belle Bottom from the right and looked to see Avania hit Strong Hold in the face. "You are so dead Kid." Said Belle Bottom. "Like I heard that one before." Said Avania turning the switch making the machine glow light blue. Belle Bottom blast her fire at the same Avania released the ice and hit by the Nun Snake by the tail. Avania crashed into a stand that sells exotic fruits and a few wooden crates close by. She landed on both feeling more of the wood instead of the fruits and got up shaking off the pain to see Bob, Kevin, and Stuart fighting against the vicious five using kung Fu.
Gru and Otto ran to help her up then looked to see Knuckles about to rush for the medallion but Belle Bottom threw him up and burned him before landing on the street. "Grandpa!" Said Avania not seeing him move. "Get away from him." Said Gru as the Vicious Five surrounded them. "Destroy those kids." Said Belle Bottom. They all lunged at them for the attack but Bob, Kevin, and Stuart pushed them back with a kung Fu move. The medallion broke off giving Gru the chance to catch it and turned all into rats. "How does it feel to be beaten by puny little punk." Said Gru then laughed. Avania grunt in pain holding her right arm limping over to Knuckles until the agents of the AVL stopped her. She saw the paramedics came to check on him then at her on their way to the ambulance. "She's alright. We are taking her to the hospital in San Francisco with her grandfather before he's sent to prison." Said Silas on the phone. He hanged up walking to Knuckles cuffing him as Avania got in the second ambulance. "He's gonna be locked up now huh?" Said Avania seeing Knuckles being lifted up in his own ambulance. "It's for the best and the AVL are going to bring you home once you get checked out." Said the agent as the paramedic checked her arm carefully. "This is going to numb the pain away." Said the paramedic inserting a needle in her injured arm making her fall asleep. After a few hours Avania woke up to the sound of the heart monitor seeing that she's in a hospital room with someone else but can't see them due the closed curtain. "Hi. How are you feeling?" Said the doctor holding a clip board. "Kinda loopy." Said Avania. "It's from the surgery for your arm and ankle. You had slight concussion, bruised ribs, and two broken bones that required surgery." Said the doctor. "Now I called your adopted family which should be here anytime soon. Do you want to eat something?" Said the nurse checking the other patient. "Anything will you but it's blueberries. I'm allergic." Said Avania. "Alright I'll send someone to get you a meal. And if you're concerned about your grandfather. He's fine just have some slight burns and is resting next to you. You're both are going be here for at least a month depending on your recoveries then you con go home and he goes to prison." Said the doctor. "Not for long." Said Knuckles. "Do you want the big needle again Mr. Arkin." Said the doctor. "Up yours." Said Knuckles. The doctor rolled his eyes and left before speaking to a nurse passing by the room.
An hour later Blaire and the family came in to see her having a seat. "How are you doing?" Said Blaire sitting next to her. "The drugs wore off." Said Avania as Frank screamed reaching out to her. "Frank. Your sister has an owie." Said Bryce. Knuckles used the cane to move the curtain getting the family's attention. "Who the hell are you?" Said Trevor. "Im your grandpa, little girl." Said Knuckles. "That is my son, Henry." Said Blaire glaring at him. "You adopted my only blood relative so this makes me part of the family." Said Knuckles. "Grandpa. Shes a cop." Said Avania looking at him. Frank waved his arms around whining until Bryce placed him on Avanias good side watching him. He smiled placinf his hands in her hair even took her glasses off putting it in his mouth but Avania took it away. "Were you the reason my daughter is here? I saw your friends take her." Said Blaire looking at him. "They left me for dead when i got the medallion. I never let anything happen to her. I took her in while my daughter was sick with Lung Cancer." Said Knuckles. "Blaire. He had nothing to do with it. They mustve figured that we're related." Said Avania then groaned feeling Frank pulling on the needle in her arm. She watch Blaire get up closing the curtains to talk to Knuckles while Trevor grabbed a pen doodling on her ankle cast. Frank then let out a loud fart as Avania looked at his diaper changing color and laughed. "That is one sounded like he was holding it in." Said Knuckles. "He tried baby food for the first time." Said Bryce picking up to change him in the bathroom. Trevor put his pen away and took Blaire's seat to do the same on her arm. He drew a flaming skull while he and Avania listened to Knuckles talking to Blaire. "So what happened before you ended up here?" Said Trevor. Avania explain everything without leaving any details and saw the nurse coming in to get her blood drawn. She did what she was told as Bryce got out of the bathroom with Frank in different clothes. Some hours gone by as the family left and Knuckles talked to Avania about what he'll be doing once hes out of the hospital including faking his death.
