Chapter 97 – Arriving At Varykino
The night was rising when the boats arrived at Varykino. When they all left Theed port, dark clouds were rising at the horizon and the wind was picking up, indicated the night would be extremely cold, and probably with some snow during night.
Making sure Ruwee was well warm, they head towards the long trip, arriving just as the light was fading away.
Stepping out of the boats, Luke and Ken help Ruwee and Jobal getting out, and walked up the stone stairs, while some servants were already taking out the luggage and walked up to the house.
"They're here," Ken Jr, called, making Amidala, Leia and Han left the home and head quickly towards them.
"Thank Goodness you arrive," Amidala said hugging her son and daughter in law, before approached her parents, and kissed them. "Dan and Gracy told us what happened. What did the doctor said?"
"It is a beginning of a pneumonia. But it was caught in time and Luke already got the medication and your father already took it before we came," Jobal informed her daughter.
Leia looked at her grandfather.
"We told that cough didn't sound good. You should have gone to the doctor right away."
Ruwee grunt before cough a little.
"Stubborn old man," Amidala replied. "Let's get him inside. Your bedroom in the first floor is already ready," she started looking at her father. "I will inform Yolla to make a warm soup for you and you will take it in your bed."
"I'm not dying," he grunt at her.
"The doctor said for you to rest at least until you feel better," Jobal told him.
"Better get inside," Leia said. "It is getting very cold here and the wind is not helping."
Nodding, the three went inside with Ken following them, while Han and Leia hugged Ines and Luke.
"Welcome back kid," Han patted Luke.
"Thanks!"
3PO and R2 were also talking.
"I really don't like this weather. It reminds me that awful planet where Master Luke got in serious trouble with one of those ice creatures."
R2 beeped.
"Of course he turn out to be okay, I told you that master Luke was intelligent and he would be quite already, because I'm not melodramatic like you."
R2 beeped loudly towards 3PO.
"Excuse me? I'm the melodramatic one. Since when? You are the one who always gets me in trouble."
Beeping again towards 3PO, R2 started to rolled towards the house.
"Hey, come back. I'm not done with you."
Rolling his eyes, Han looked back at his nieces and nephews.
"So, and how are you?"
"Cold!" Ben said.
"Well then we better go inside, cause there is a lot warmer." Leia smiled at the kid.
The moment they were began to got inside, the while villa and whole the surroundings, like the trees and gardens started to get illuminated by the Life Day lights.
The moment he saw the beautiful lights, Lukey, who was in his father's arms, pointed towards it and started to laugh all happy.
"Look sweetie, look at the beautiful lights," Luke smiled at his son, kissing his cheeks.
"Li," he replied looking at his father and clap his hands.
"Just wait until he sees the inside, with all the decorations and the huge tree they have inside," Han spoke.
The all entered inside the warm house, and indeed, it was beautiful with the decorations and the tree, that Lukey immediately wanted to see closely, once his father removed his jacket.
"It is so good to see you."
"Yolla!" Ines said hugging the woman. "It is good to see you too."
"Welcome home," she said hugging Luke too. "Your bedrooms are waiting for you in the second floor as usual." she replied and looked at the kids. "My Goodness but it is just me or the 3 of you are way bigger than the last time I saw you!"
"We are growing," Ben said right away.
"I can't see that," she smiled at the kid. "I remember when you were tiny little babies, the three of you."
Feeling someone near her, she looked down, and smiled when she saw Lukey, who was waving at her.
"And look at you," she said crouching in front of the 19th month old toddler.
"Tee!" he said pointing at the tree."
"He loves the tree and the lights," Ines explained to her.
Looking back at him, Yolla smiled.
"It is a big tree, right?"
"Yeah," he said shaking his head and ran towards the tree again.
"Well, dinner will be serve in an hour, so take that tome to unpack and relax." Yolla informed before heading back to the kitchen.
"Where is Iris?" Ines asked while they were heading towards the stairs.
"She is in Luna's home these weekend. Luna will celebrated her 16th birthday, and it is a big deal here in Naboo, so we let her stayed there." Leia replied.
After unpacked and settle down and check on Ruwee, they all went downstairs and have dinner, talking about what happened while they were gone.
It was a little late and by the way the kids started to yawning, they knew that was the indication that was bed time.
"Come on, it was a long day, and we need to rest!" Luke replied standing up, being followed by everyone.
"Can we check Pappy first?" Alli asked him.
Nodding, they all went to the first floor where the rest of the family bedrooms were.
Entering in the bedroom, after they knock, they find Ruwee and Jobal, lay in bed, with Jobal with her table watching one of her favorite series on it.
The moment they entered, the two sets of twins climbed on the bed, and Alli was the one who approached her Pappy and resting her little hand on his forehead, she looked back at her father.
"No fever!"
"Well thank you nurse," Ruwee replied with a smile.
"You bet, Mister!" the little girl said pointing at him.
"I will love to have a little help. At least you will make your great grand father behave." Jobal smiled at her.
Approaching them, Amidala looked at her father.
"How are you feeling?"
"Bored, but I see I need to be here on this bed for a while, cause I sense have 4 body guards watching me all the time," he glare at the kids.
"Yes. Mama take care of us when we are sick, and now we will take care of you," Ani said.
"You better not upset these 4," Leia nod to her grandfather.
"But at least you don't have any fever," Ines replied.
"The medication is working and he ate well too, so it is a start." Jobal answered her.
"That's good," Luke nod.
"Well we just came to check on you, before going to bed, cause it was a long day, and besides according to the wind that is picking on, we will have bad weather, so rest," Amidala replied kissing her parents goodnight.
"Don't worry," Jobal assure her daughter.
"Maybe tomorrow Luma and Reed will pay a visit for sure when they fins out we arrived," Ines told them.
"I can't wait to see them again," Jobal smiled.
"Well goodnight and sleep well," they said, and after saying goodnights, they all head towards the second floor where their bedrooms were, for a goodnight of sleep.
They all finally arrive to Varykino, and we all knew the kids would take care of their great grandfather.
