Chapter 7
Earlier
"I wonder what else we will learn…" Ryoto was reminiscing about the lessons of the day, it didn't appear too out of the ordinary and some of the things he was already made aware of. His mother taught him well at a young age, at the same time, he was learning from Marcy and her siblings. Her brothers Doi, Benijiro, Hiroyuki, Kazz, Miyo and Touma were chatting away about their lessons. Marcy and her sister Sora were rather silent on the matter.
"Well we got the rest of the day off, my mother said we can go out too…"
"WE CAN!?" Marcy asked with excitement, only to have Doi pull her back down into her seat. "Oh… you mean… outside…" she said meekly.
"Of course I meant outside, in fact, mother is suggesting the movies… I remember seeing a bit of my father's production but I slept after the sword dance…"
"According to my phone, there are plenty of seats at the theater in Tokyo. Wanna go there?" asked Kazz.
He agreed, they finished their meal and told their parents where they were going. Ryoto told his mother who insisted he get some fresh air out of the domain. "Don't be too long!" she called.

It was odd.
"Why are people staring at me?" Ryoto whispered.
In fact, everywhere they went, people stopped and stared, the whispers soon followed, as he didn't know what they were talking about.
"Is that him?"
"Looks like him, it's hard to tell…"
"I know that makeup was so detailed…"
"Makeup?" he whispered, but shrugged his shoulders. They got to the theater and their tickets were ordered, but the same thing happened. The person at the box office even blushed at him! When they passed the booth, he turned to his friends who were just as confused as him!
It got worst as they were getting snacks. Ryoto did find it odd that he towered over everyone here, but that wasn't what they whispered about. "Why is everyone tip toeing around me?" he whispered to Marcy.
She paused and peered about, until something caught her eye. She grabbed his hand and brought him over, side by side next to a cardboard display.
That was when more people stopped, stared and became a little pale.
"Is… that HIM!?" one demanded aloud.
He turned to face the cardboard cutout… of his father in his Ganondorf makeup.
"Oooohhh!" he said realizing what this was about. "Sorry, not me," he said gently and waved off the attention. But… no one believed him. Cellphones came out, pictures were taken until he got into the theater with everyone, and even they were a little weirded out by that.
They still got to enjoy the movie, Ryoto knew every line by heart, at the same time, and he got to appreciate how good of a job his father did as Ganondorf. As a child, it's merely like seeing your hero in person. But, since he was maturing, he saw the effort his father put into it to bring Ganondorf to life.
He is also more than aware the only reason why he did this, was for him. It was one of the few things he and his father could bond over. The experience was memorable. He still loved the sword dance segment, apparently his father knew this from mom, and it was Ryoto's mother's side of the family that had something like this. "Only a few members of the family could do this, it was to show how proficient they were with a blade, how they mastered the steel and control." He remembered his father explaining.
'I really should ask mom about her side of the family, I am surprised dad knows so much about it' he thought.
By the end of the movie, Ryoto was satisfied with how it turned out. He lost it though as one of his bloopers made in the end credits, the whole movie ended with him calling out. "WE'RE GOING TO NEED WARDROBE HERE… AND A MOP!"
"Best ending, ever!" decreed Miyo. "Dude, you were awesome!"
"I was only in it for ten minutes." Ryoto snickered.
As they got up to leave, he found people were lingering, staring and armed with their phones again. He paid no mind to it and left with his friends… until he was getting followed. They just walked out of the theater… and there was a crowd of people!
"It's him! The mysterious actor from the Zelda movie!" someone shouted. Soon people bombarded him! They shoved their phones in his face as they tried to get him to say a few words!
That was until Marcy stepped forwards. "BACK OFF!"
Instantly, there was a five foot space, people trembled as she glared at them. "We just came out of a movie, for your information, he's not the person you are looking for!" she snapped. "Let's go," she grabbed his wrist and pulled him away from the masses.
Ryoto didn't know what to say until Marcy said. "Make sure they don't follow us" but he didn't see anyone, no one was ahead of her… was she perhaps talking to him?
Either way, he let her take the led until they were away from the theater.
"Why do they think I'm my dad?" he asked bluntly.
His friends… stared at him oddly. "What?" he asked innocently.
"To be honest, you are the spiting image of your father" Sora said bluntly. "They confused you with him since you two are nearly identical. I think your dad is taller than you…"
He paused. "They think I'm my dad?" he asked. "But…" he sighed. "Dad isn't one for the public eye either, is he?"
"Like ours, our father tends to stay out of the limelight, mainly I think our fathers are only known as sake brewer to the humans, but to everyone else, they are something far more." explained Hiroyuki.
He nodded to that, but sighed. "It will be bothersome if we tried to go anywhere else, let's go back home, maybe my mom might have a solution…" yet as they wondered the streets, Ryoto paused as something caught his attention, curse energy and in a dense area. There was a rather large, square building near by. "Is that a school?" he whispered.
Marcy peered but shrugged. "Maybe, or it's a hidden school for sorcerers. It even has a pool… but that place looks run down…" she was right, next to it was a pool hall by the looks of it, but in a great state of decay.
That place made Ryoto shutter oddly.
"But, if this is a school for jujutsu sorcerers… then why is it in the middle of the city?"
"That's… a good question," Doi said. "Let's tell our parents about it, they may know more."

It was… confusing.
The moment they returned home, it appeared as if a celebration was about to happen. Eso as shouting orders, his sons and daughter were making arrangements. Nanami and his wife, Inari, assisted as Yuuji helped set up. "What's going on?" Marcy asked. "Uncle Eso?"
He paused and smiled to everyone. "Hi, we have last minute company, Lady Tiamat and she offered to cook tonight."
"Grandma cooks?!" the eight asked offhandedly.
"Grandma Tiamat must be a good cook, everyone appears to be preparing." Ryoto said.
Eso smiled and nodded. "In fact, this was a demonic goose hunted down by your father and cousin Rook just this afternoon, those two are still getting plucked as we speak…" he said and snickered.
"Plucked?" wondered Ryoto.
"You'll know when you see him." Nanami sensei explained.
Yuuji as snickering aloud to it all.
Ryoto opted to go see his parents as his friends went to find theirs. When he got home, he paused. Outside was his mother, his father was over her knee as she was pulling feathers off his back. He snorted a laugh at first but saw the glare he got from his father. His mother was giggling too. "It's rather adorable…" she said.
"Shut up, this is embarrassing enough as it is…"
"Father?" Ryoto asked and yet still laughed. "What happened?"
He told him about the demonic goose he and Rook slaughtered, it was more difficult than he thought it would be, yet the moment the head is taken, the down of it is discharged, it was also an attack it did as well to hinder movement and for prey consumption, but that's besides the point. "Lesson is, don't pluck if you have hacked." His father decreed.
"Rook is in worst shape, Yua has been plucking him for an hour or so…" mom explained. "But it's adorable that you two are getting along so well!"
"Well he is my cousin and family to dad, right?" Ryoto said offhandedly. "So… is that what we're having for dinner tonight? Demonic goose?"
"Apparently, Lady Tiamat insisted. She was already drooling over the beast and it hadn't been properly cleaned yet." Father explained. "So look forward to dinner."
He already was!
"Oh… mom, father, something happened today. You see we went to the movies…" Ryoto explained the whole situation to them, his mother was all ears, his father appeared to only be half listening. But when he got to the part where everyone thought he was his father… it got weird. "They began to follow and shove their phones in my face thinking I was father who was in the movie…"
He saw his father peer at him, then he smiled. "Then that's perfect, I hate the limelight like that, all yours," he decreed.
"I don't want to be an actor!" Ryoto snapped back. "I also don't take credit for things I didn't do."
His father forced a small laugh. "Either way, do as you wish with it. I could careless, you are aware…"
"Yes, I am father." Ryoto said with a sigh.
"Well go wash up, dinner will be ready soon, I'm nearly done getting your father… plucked…" his mother laughed.
"It's bad enough Six eyes took video of this…"
Ryoto sighed. "Uncle tends to do such a thing doesn't he? Please excuse me." Ryoto went off to wash up, but he continued to snicker at his father in such a situation…
