In the Highlands of Scotland, there is a freshwater lake known as Loch Ness. Locals whisper of a monster lurking beneath the surface.
News headline: "MAN CLAIMS TO HAVE PHOTOGRAPHED LAKE MONSTER"
Dr. Joe Nickell, skeptic: "The earliest records of this monster date back to 565 AD. It has to be a very, very ancient creature"
Sightings of the monster continue to this day, the most notable being an alleged photograph of the monster taken in 1934.
There are creatures science refuses to recognize.

Loch Ness Monster
In the summer of 2010, a group of amateur cryptozoologists traveled to Loch Ness, planning to film another episode of their web series "Cryptid Hunters". They wanted to prove the existence of the Loch Ness Monster once and for all. But little do they know, their wish is about to become true…
These are their tapes.
6:00 P.M.
Camera flicks on, showing a group of young adults in their twenties standing on the shore of Loch Ness.
"Hi guys! Welcome back to Cryptid Hunters, where we try to capture unrecognized creatures on camera. It's your boy Josh along with Sarah, Nick and Judy!"
"Hi! We're at Loch Ness in Scotland today to prove the existence of the Loch Ness Monster, also known as Nessie." – said Sarah to the camera.
"Come on guys, let's set up our equipment and get the boat ready." – spoke up Nick.
"Hey Sarah, let's go swimming while the boys get everything ready!" – called Judy.
"I don't know Judy, the water might be cold."
"Come on Sarah, don't be a baby!"
Sarah and Judy go swimming while Nick and Josh set up cameras.
"So, Nick, what about the boat?"
"The guy who rented it said we have 2 hours to use it."
"Dang it! We won't get much footage in only 2 hours."
"Guys! Judy's gone!" – shouts Sarah.
Nick and Josh point the camera towards her.
"One minute she's there, the next she's not!"
Sarah doesn't notice Judy surfacing and sneaking up behind her.
"BOO!"
"AAH! Judy, what the hell! You seriously scared me!"
"You should have seen the look on your face, Sarah!"
Nick and Josh burst out laughing.
"It's not funny, guys!" – screams Sarah.
The Loch Ness Monster is described as large, long-necked, and with one or more humps protruding from the water. Skeptics think sightings are misidentification of eels, catfish or boat wakes. However, DNA evidence shows no eels or catfish living in the loch.
6:30 P.M.
As the four load their equipment onto the boat, an old Scottish man approaches them.
"So lads, yer goin' monster huntin'?"
"Actually, we're filming a documentary about Nessie, sir."
"Well then, heed my warning, laddies: don't go in the loch after dark. And it's getting dark soon…
"What do you mean? Have you seen it?"
"I haven't, but my father almost drowned when something capsized his boat. He claimed it was the famous monster."
"Do you believe the monster exists, sir?"
"I do not know for certain, but us locals keep hearing strange splashes in the water on quiet nights."
"Well then, thank you for the story, but we really need to get going now".
"Bye lads. Take care and watch out for Nessie!"
The old man walks away and Josh turns on the boat's engine.
"Do you guys think what he said is true?" – asked Judy.
"I dunno, but we should watch out" – replied Nick.
7:05 P.M.
The boat heads deeper into the loch, as night begins to fall. Suddenly, the boat hits something and stops.
"What the heck?!" - shouts Josh.
"We must have hit a rock or something!" – says Nick. "Just our luck. How will we get back to shore?"
However, the camera captures a dark shape moving away from the boat.
7:15 P.M.
"I'm a great swimmer, I can swim back to shore and call for help." – suggests Judy.
"Are you sure you can make it?"
"I'll make it, you guys just stay here."
"Like we have anywhere to go." – mutters Josh, his voice shaking.
Judy jumps into the water and begins to swim to shore.
Cryptozoologists speculate that Nessie might be a surviving plesiosaur – an aquatic reptile that lived during the Early Jurassic period. Plesiosaurs have long necks, small heads and short tails. This matches the description of the Loch Ness Monster.
Suddenly, Judy shouts and disappears beneath the water surface. The camera captures this moment.
"Judy! Come out! It wasn't funny the first time, and it isn't now!" – screams Sarah.
"Yeah Judy, we're in actual danger here!"
Sarah jumps into the water to look for Judy.
"Come out Judy, this is not funny!"
"I can already tell that this will go viral" – whispers Josh to Nick.
"Screw the video, we have to get out of here!" – Nick retorts angrily.
Suddenly, Sarah begins screaming. Nick turns the camera towards her and captures a giant shape moving underneath.
"Holy shit! Is that what I think it is?"
"It's real! The Loch Ness Monster is real!"
Sarah screams for one last time before the monster pulls her underwater.
"Oh shit! It got Sarah!"
Suddenly, Nessie rams the boat, causing Josh to lose his balance and fall overboard.
"Nick! Help me!"
"Grab my hand, Josh!"
"Shit, Nick, the monster's got me!" – Josh yells out before getting dragged away by Nessie.
"NO! JOSH!" – Nick screams with a panicked voice.
Suddenly, the boat capsizes and Nick falls into the cold water of the loch.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" Nick screams as he grabs the camera and begins swimming as fast as he can.
"If anyone finds this, we're a group of guys from London who fell victim to the monster. DO NOT go looking for it. It doesn't like to be dis-AAAH!
The last thing the camera captures before submerging is Nick being attacked by the monster.
The following morning, a local fisherman found the camera and a barely breathing Nick washed ashore. Nick was rushed to the hospital and miraculously recovered from his injuries. The footage baffled investigators, but police divers never found the bodies of Sarah, Judy and Josh. Nick quickly cancelled "Cryptid Hunters" and started his own business in London instead. However, the question remains…
