After class, the new parents looked at their flower sacks in confusion. "Is this how other worlds handle family planning?" Sora asked Kairi, who simply shrugged. Meanwhile Danny was talking to his friends Sam and Tucker.
"Let me get this straight: We need to take care of a flour sack and pretend it's our baby?" Danny said as he pointed over to Valerie taking care of their ''child''.
"Apparently it's supposed to be about learning shared responsibility. Not sure how though..." Sam said with a confused look as she held her and Tuckers' sack of flour. "The only thing it teaches me is how pointless this assignment is."
Sora and Kairi finally came over to join the conversation. "Not to mention dangerous! Danny's got to spend a week playing house with an ecto-hating ghostophobe." Kairi said as she watched Valerie struggle with her flour.
"Don't worry, Danny. Valerie doesn't know your secret, and as far as you go, you don't know hers." Sora said in a reassuring voice as he gave Danny a slight pat on the back.
On that note, Tucker and S am waved goodbye to the group and walked off. Valerie took this moment to finally approach Danny about the whole assignment thing. "I'll make things quick. I don't like you, and you don't like me. So, I took the time to chart out our responsibilities." She said as she pulled out a pie chart labeled "Baby Care". The chart mostly said Danny was taking care of the baby, while she only allotted herself less then half a day.
"By "our" you mean "mine"." Danny said sarcastically.
"Look. Unlike you, I'm busy. So busy my grades are in the toilet and I really need to pass this class." Valerie started to say as the sack started to cry rather violently. "What in the hell is that?!"
"It seems like these are set up to act like actual babies. They need attention." Kairi said as her natural protective instincts took over as she rocked the flour back and forth to calm it down.
"You see? And it's that kind of parental responsibility that's gonna get me a good grade. You should take care of our child like Kairi is. She's obviously better at this then you Fenton." Valerie said as she handed Danny the flour and walked off to be with her more popular group of friends.
The rest of the day went by rather smoothly, with most of the school taking care of a sack. There were traditional couples, couples with two dads and some with two moms, a nice mix. The day soon came to a close with the group now heading over to the Nasty Burger for a quick bite to eat.
Danny was taking care of his sack of flour alone, with Valerie nowhere in sight. "I've been a parent all of one day and my grade is probably already down to a C-minus."
"Life could be worse." Sora said.
"You could be that guy." Sam said as she pointed over to the Nasty Burger mascot. Tucker saw this and dragged poor Sam over to the mascot to get a family photo with it. "Tucker! You're taking this way too seriously!"
Meanwhile on the roof of the Nasty Burger, Skulker is...skulking. He was observing the scene below, trying to get a plan in motion for Valerie to fight with Sora, Kairi and Danny again. He thought long and hard until the perfect little scheme popped up into his head. He snapped his fingers and a cage containing the Box Ghost appeared in front of him. "You'll do."
Skulker puts a spider-like gag on the Box Ghost and hooks him to a fish hook.
Back on the ground, Danny manages to take a couple of snapshots of Sam, Tucker, and Sack with Nasty Nat using only one hand while holding on to his crying sack. "Want to get a picture? It could boost your grade!" Tucker said with a smile.
"That would require having the whole family. But Mommy is too busy with her job to pull her weight and keep this kid QUIET!" Danny said in frustration as he took a few deep breaths.
While they talked, Skulker dangled the Box Ghost on his fishing line behind Danny and Tucker but in front of the customers inside the Nasty Burger. Danny's ghost sense finally picks this up, causing him to get defensive.
"Ah man! Can you watch our kids for us Tucker?" Kairi said as her keyblade appeared in her hand.
Tucker was about to object but Danny quickly shoved ten bucks into his hand. " Come to Uncle Tucker and his baby-sitting service!"
Sora and Kairi dive towards the Box Ghost while Danny runs around to the back of the Nasty Burger. He quickly transforms and joins the two keyblade wielders. "Now where's that lame-o Box Ghost?"
A rocket suddenly shot into Danny, causing him to crash into the drive through menu. Sora turns around and sees Valerie yet again.
"At last! People hitting people! Is there anything more beautiful?" Skulker said to himself on the roof.
Valerie fires a salvo of five rockets which all land at the Nasty Burger. One of them hits the pole holding the sign up, and it begins to lean over toward Tucker. "Tucker watch out!" Sora yelled as he quickly flew over and got him out of harms way.
"Thanks! But this is gonna cost you extra." Tucker said.
Danny turns invisible, goes behind a few of the cars in the parking lot to become human again. Valerie looked down on the scene and quickly flew off before anyone saw her.
"Oh, this is ridiculous. I could have skinned them by now." Skulker said as he shook his head.
