Chapter 2: Mega Man to the Rescue
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. I'm pleased with how well this is going. One chapter in and already 50 followers! Thank you all for your support. Also I'd like to point out I made a few edits to chapter 1. So I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
We find ourselves on a busy street as we stop at a Maid Café called Wishing Star. Inside we see several maids taking orders and making things enjoyable for the customers.
But as we made our way to the back things go from sweet and fun to angry as we see Hikaru in the back.
"No! What are you doing to me?!" Omega Xis asks.
"Consider it payback for school," Hikaru said.
Looking at the screen we see Hikaru was playing Angry Birds but instead of a bird, he had loaded Omega Xis into the slingshot.
"Wait! Wait! Can't we talk about this?" Omega Xis asks before Hikaru flings the slingshot sending Omega Xis screaming as he crashed into the structure destroying it and taking out all but one pig who laughed at him. "What are so smug about? You don't even have limbs you stupid piece of data."
"You haven't even been in my life for one day and you're already ruining it," Hikaru said.
"Ruining it?" As his smartwatch glowed Omega Xis got out of the watch.
Putting on his visualizers Hikaru saw he was right in front of him.
"How is getting you a girlfriend ruining your life?" Omega Xis asks.
"The problem is my confession was a lie. The only reason I said was because I hoped she would say no and I could walk away from this." Hikaru said.
"So you're not happy she said yes to you?" Omega Xis asks.
"Well I mean I am happy she did. I mean she's really beautiful, she's got a really hot look in her eyes and…" Hikaru said as a blush appears on his face before he shook his head snapping out of it. "Hey don't change the subject!"
"Look you clearly like her and she said yes to you. My advice, see how this relationship goes and just try to make it work. Maybe she'll even like you back." Omega Xis suggests.
"Look between you and me I've never had a girlfriend before," Hikaru admits.
"Wow really? I had no idea." Omega Xis said rolling his eyes.
"You done?" Hikaru deadpans.
"Yes. For now." Omega Xis said.
"Look I don't know what I'm supposed to do and I certainly can't handle her and you while at school," Hikaru said.
"Simple fix. While you're being bored to death in that place, I'll leave your watch and do my own thing. That way we both get what we want." Omega Xis said.
"I guess that could work," Hikaru said.
"See what happens when you listen to me? Things work out." Omega Xis chuckles.
Suddenly the door opens and Hikaru's dad walks in.
"Hey Hikaru you mind wiping down some tables before you head home?" He asks.
"Uh sure dad." Hikaru said before wondering something. "Hey Dad can I ask you something personal?"
"What is it?" Kaito asks.
"What were you like when you met Mom? I mean what made you fall in love with her?" Hikaru asks making him smile.
"You don't ask me about your mom much. It was interesting when I first met her. She was definitely someone I had my eye on but honestly, I thought she was too good for me. But she had this passion and I just wanted to be there for her. It drew me to her and as I spent more time with her I ended up falling in love with her. And the rest is history." Kaito smiles.
Even though it didn't help him much with Yukana, Hikaru felt a little warm inside hearing that. Maybe he could give this relationship a chance after all.
"Thanks dad." Hikaru said.
"So why the sudden interest? Is there a girl you have a crush on?" Kaito teases.
"Dad!" Hikaru said embarrassed.
"I think that's a yes. Is it? Is it one of the maids here? Didn't have a crush on one of them a few years ago?" Kaito asks making him turn bright red.
"I don't have time for this! I got tables to clean!" Hikaru said storming out of the kitchen.
Smiling Kaito couldn't help but like this new change in attitude. It was interesting seeing his son be so emotional and curious.
The next morning, Hikaru was slow to get up as his alarm went off.
"So you're really going back there huh?" Omega Xis asks as Hikaru got dressed.
"Yep kinda have to," Hikaru said.
"You gonna go talk to your new girlfriend today?" Omega Xis asks.
"I mean I can't really ignore her but I really don't have any idea what I'm supposed to do now," Hikaru said when suddenly he got a text.
"Huh?" Opening his phone, he saw Yukana had sent him a selfie of her. She was lying in bed wearing a bathrobe that really left little to the imagination and was doing a peace sign.
'Oh man, I forgot I gave her my phone number yesterday.' Hikaru blushes.
"Well seems like she was serious after all." Omega Xis smirks.
"Yukana Yame really is my girlfriend." Hikaru realized.
Yesterday really happened. It wasn't a joke.
Soon Hikaru was on his way to school.
"Look you can do whatever you want during school hours but don't cause any trouble for me okay?" Hikaru asks.
"Trust me, kid, I don't plan on being anywhere near those boring torture chambers." Omega Xis said.
"It's called a classroom, and unlike you, I don't mind being there. Just do me a favor and try not to make me ask anyone else out today." Hikaru said as Omega Xis appeared behind Hikaru.
'This human.' Omega Xis thought shaking his head before looking up at the sky and narrowing his eyes. 'How long until they appear?'
Arriving at school, Hikaru made his way to class, and true to his promise Omega Xis left the inside of his watch and decided to roam around giving Hikaru some alone time.
Looking at his watch, Hikaru opened his daily Battle Card pack.
'Hmm a few new ones.' Hikaru thought
"Hey yo!" Coming in from behind Uruka claps him on the back making him stumble.
"Uruka?" He said snapping out of it.
"Hey Hikaru." She waves.
"Let me guess you need to see my homework again?" Hikaru asks.
"No…well not this time." She mutters that last part. "Kodaka said you were a little out of it yesterday just wanted to check and see if you were feeling better."
"Oh uh yeah. Sorry, yesterday was eventful. Just a lot of stuff on my mind." Hikaru said.
"Do you want to talk about it? Maybe I can help." Uruka asks.
"Thanks but really it's nothing," Hikaru assured as they entered the class.
"Good morning Hikaru." Coming in from behind, Yukana hugs his arm surprising him.
"G-Good morning Yukana." Hikaru said feeling his arm between her chest.
"Did you get the selfie I sent this morning? Pretty cute right?" Yukana asks.
"Yeah definitely cute," Hikaru said.
"I know right? Didn't use any filters or anything to edit it." She teases.
"Uh, when did you two become so close?" Uruka asks confused.
"Oh because Hikaru and I started dating yesterday." Yukana declares surprising the whole class.
"What?!" Uruka said the most surprised of all.
Cringing Hikaru was not a fan of this one bit.
Up on the roof of the school, Omega Xis was looking out at the city from the EM Road without a care in the world and having no idea what Hikaru was dealing with.
"Hmm this is nice. This is better." Omega Xis smiles.
Meanwhile Hikaru on the other hand was struggling. The whole day people have been asking Hikaru questions about how he got Yukana as a girlfriend.
And Yukana's friends had even questioned her about all this as well.
Soon it was time for lunch we find ourselves at the student store where Kodaka sat with Nariyuki on a bench nearby.
"Seriously? Hikaru and Yukana?" Nariyuki said surprised.
"That's what I heard," Kodaka said handing him a bottle of water.
"Huh? I honestly didn't know Yukana was his type…come to think of it does he even have a type?" Nariyuki asks.
Pausing both boys tried to recall but they never once asked Hikaru about this sort of thing.
"Why didn't he tell us?!" Angrily wolfing down a Yakisoba bun Uruka was taking this way differently than them. "I mean we're his best friends, right? The closest people in his life! How come he didn't tell us he had a girlfriend?!"
"Oh boy." Kodoka sweat drops.
"He probably was gonna tell us later, but didn't know how. Didn't they say they got together yesterday?" Nariyuki sweat drops.
Pouting Uruka sat down next to them. "Still…"
"Boy Hikaru is gonna be answering a lot of questions," Nariyuki said not envying him.
"Uh hey guys. Sorry, I'm late." Hikaru said walking over.
"Well look who decided to show up." Uruka said with a huff.
"Uh what's going on?" Hikaru asks.
"She's a little frustrated right now," Nariyuki said.
"Thought you'd be having lunch with your new girlfriend now," Uruka said.
"Oh, Yukana. Yeah, that was a bit of a surprise huh?" Hikaru realized.
"So when did you two get so close?" Kodaka asks.
"It just kind of happened. I asked her out and she said yes." Hikaru admits.
"Just like that?" Nariyuki said as Uruka took a big bite wolfing down the rest of her bread in frustration but she ended up taking a too big of a bite and started to choke.
"Uruka! Oh no she's choking!" Nariyuki panics.
"Someone give her the Heimlich!" Kodoka said but Uruka waved her hand telling them not that one.
"Here have some water!" Hikaru said handing her a bottle and she immediately gulped down allowing her to breathe.
"Thanks, Hikaru." She said in between breaths.
"What is going on with you? You're so edge." Hikaru asks.
"It's…it's nothing," Uruka said.
However, Kodoka could see it wasn't just that. "I think the whole girlfriend news just took her by surprise."
"You're not gonna start hanging out with her over us now are you?" Nariyuki asks making Uruka pause hoping that wasn't the case.
"Don't worry about it. Nothing's gonna change between us. She has her friends and I have you guys. I'll still make time for you all I promise." Hikaru said.
Smiling the three of them were happy to hear that. Some more than others though.
"So you gonna tell us how you got the guts to ask her out?" Kodoka asks making Hikaru the nervous one now.
"Uh not really. Like I said it just happened." Hikaru said.
"I don't believe you! Talk now!" Uruka said getting in his face.
"Uruka calm down!" Nariyuki said pulling her back.
Cringing Hikaru hated all this new attention.
When the school bell rang, Hikaru was more than happy to leave.
'Omega Xis if I ever get my hands on you, you'll be playing 10 levels of Angry Birds.' Hikaru thought.
"Oh Hikaru." Turning around he saw Yukana approach him.
"Yeah?" Hikaru said as she took his hand.
"You don't have any after-school plans do you?" Yukana asks.
"No not at the moment," Hikaru said.
"Great. What do you say we spend some time together?" Yukana suggests.
"Like what?" Hikaru asks.
"Well I happen to know there's a really good café. What do you say we go together? You, me, some tasty drinks. Doesn't that sound like a good time?" Yukana asks.
As she got closer, Hikaru could smell her shampoo. It smelled amazing. Like one of those scented candles.
"I guess it could be fun," Hikaru said.
"Great, well what are we waiting for let's go?" Yukana said taking his hand and when she did Hikaru flinched softly. "Like are you okay? You see a little jumpy?"
"Sorry about that uh. How about I meet you there in an hour? I just remembered I forgot my wallet." Hikaru said making her pout.
"Oh alright. Don't keep me waiting too long Hikaru." Yukana winks before walking away.
Watching her, Hikaru let out a sigh.
"Maybe I shouldn't even go. At least this way I have a way out of this relationship." Hikaru said unaware of Omega Xis floating down behind him.
"Really? That's pathetic." Omega Xis said returning to him.
"Whoa!" Hikaru said startled. "A little warning next time."
"You're seriously going to abandon her after she asked you herself?" Omega Xis asks.
"In case you've forgotten Omega Xis it's because of you she thinks I'm interested in her," Hikaru said.
"She wants to give this a chance, why can't you?" Omega Xis asks.
"Because…because I'm scared okay. Yukana seems like a sweet girl but what if I mess up? What if I say something stupid or do something that makes her laugh at me?" Hikaru said in a worried tone.
Looking at him, Omega Xis has spent the last day hearing him vent his worries and insecurities. He needed to snap him out of it.
"Look you're a good human. I know this didn't go as you planned but what's the problem? You're not gonna do anything crazy or stupid with this girl are you?" Omega Xis asks.
"No." Hikaru said.
"And you've said quite a few times that you like her and think she's pretty." Omega Xis reminds.
"Yeah." Hikaru nods.
"Then maybe you should stop trying to see this as a problem and see it as something good." Omega Xis said.
Hearing this Hikaru sighs. "Guess I better go catch up with her."
"Smartest thing you've said all day." Omega Xis said as Hikaru followed after her.
Meanwhile, Yukana had joined up briefly with her friend Ranko as the two waited for the bus.
"So wait he left you behind?" Ranko asks.
"It's not like that. I did spring it on him at the last second. He just wasn't ready." Yukana said.
"What kind of boy doesn't bring his wallet to school?" Ranko asks.
"Apparently him." Yukana shrugs.
"I still can't believe you said yes to going out with him," Ranko said.
"Oh I don't know. Hikaru's interesting. There's something about him." Yukana said.
"If you say so." Ranko narrows her eyes.
Down the street, Hikaru was on the lookout when suddenly an explosion went off.
"What the heck?!" Looking around Hikaru saw various streetlights go haywire and explode causing the people to panic as some drivers had no idea what to do and swerved out of control in confusion.
"What is going on here?" Hikaru asks.
"EM wave viruses. Put on your visualizers quick." Omega Xis said.
Putting them on, Hikaru saw tons of strange and dangerous-looking creatures attacking the street lamps and several cars.
"Oh man this is not good," Hikaru said when he heard a familiar scream.
Looking across he saw a crash had happened near Yukana and Ranko.
"Yukana get away from here!" Ranko yells as some more lights exploded nearby scaring Yukana.
"Yukana! Omega Xis we gotta help her!" Hikaru said.
"I thought you didn't want to be in a relationship with her?" Omega Xis asks.
"That doesn't mean I don't care if she and her friends get hurt," Hikaru said.
Down the street, the bus the girls were waiting for saw the crash.
The driver tried to hit the brakes but a mysterious virus had landed atop of it and wouldn't let that happen. In fact, they made it speed up.
"What do we do?! What do we do?! Oh man, where's the Police?!" Hikaru panics.
"Okay first shut up and listen!" Omega Xis yells getting his attention. "Look the easiest way to stop all this is to get rid of all the viruses."
"Great. Get to work." Hikaru gestures.
"I can't help anyone like this. My body isn't made of matter. I can't even shake someone's hand let alone save people." Omega Xis said as a car crashed near him.
"So there's nothing you can do?" Hikaru asks running for cover in an alley.
"I can't do anything but you can." Omega Xis said.
"Are you crazy?! I can't stop those things." Hikaru said.
"Yes you can but I'm going to need to borrow your body to make this work." Omega Xis said.
"My body? Wait what are you doing?" Hikaru asks.
"We're going to EM Wave Change!" Omega Xis said.
Shooting out of his watch a green light engulfs Hikaru as he and Omega Xis merged moving him to the EM Wave world just above the crashes.
When the light dies down we see Hikaru wearing a black body suit with blue armor plating. His necklace logo gleamed on his chest as blue boots, gloves, a chest plate, and a helmet with a red visor. On his left arm, a high-tech tablet-like device appeared. (Google Mega Man Starforce 3 design)
"Whoa what the heck?" Hikaru said in shock.
"Please don't scream again." Omega Xis interrupts.
"Omega Xis?" Hikaru said looking at his arm to see Omega Xis on the screen. "What is all this?"
"You and I have merged and entered the EM world. In order to do battle with these viruses. You are now an EM Human." Omega Xis explains.
"This is not what I meant when I said I wanted to help Yukana," Hikaru said.
"Less whining more fighting Hikaru." Omega Xis said.
"You can't expect me to just go in like this," Hikaru said.
He tried to turn away but missed his step and lands atop a parked car.
As the viruses nearby spotted him, Hikaru cringed.
"Oh no," Hikaru said as 3 Mettenna viruses attacked him.
"Back off! Leave me alone!" Hikaru yells swinging his arm and smacking one away sending it crashing into one of the others and deleting it. "Whoa? Did I do that?"
"You can pat yourself on the back later. Time to do some fighting." Omega Xis said as the third virus took out a pickaxe.
Swinging it down a wave of energy came charging towards him.
"I gotta get past all of these things. Don't you have any weapons?" Hikaru asks.
"Actually I do. And you gave me quite the collection." Omega Xis said.
"I did?" Hikaru said confused.
"Your Battle Card collection. With my powers, I can utilize them and turn them into actual weapons." Omega Xis said as a set of 6 appeared on his screen. "Pick the cards and I'll handle the rest."
"If you say so. Battlecard Cannon!" Hikaru said picking one and instantly his arm changed to mimic the battle card. "Whoa! My arm!"
"Now fire!" Omega Xis orders.
As the Mettenna virus swung its axe at them Hikaru fires a blast making the virus explode on contact.
"Okay, this is cool." Hikaru grins.
"Time to do a little virus busting." Omega Xis grins alongside him.
Charging forward Hikaru fired multiple blasts taking out viruses that had latched themselves onto the cars and lights.
Suddenly dropping in from nearby a Zap Ace hurled a ball of electricity and hit Hikaru sending him flying backward towards a building.
Cringing Hikaru braced himself for impact but went right through the building unharmed.
"How did I? I went through that building like it wasn't even there," Hikaru said confused.
"You're made of EM wave energy remember? Our bodies are different than you humans." Omega Xis reminds.
Swooping in, two Crowcar viruses attacked him.
"Use the Megabuster. It's not as strong as a Battlecard but it can get the job done." Omega Xis said.
"Fine with me." Clicking the Megabuster logo on the screen his arm changed again to reveal a small cannon attached to his arm.
Leaping up, Hikaru dodges the attack and fires multiple blasts hitting the viruses and destroying them.
Jumping to the Em Road over the streets, Hikaru caught his breath.
Looking ahead he saw the bus was gaining speed and the girls were still trapped.
Suddenly several Police cars pulled up and stepping out we see the Em Police led by Detective Goyoda, the same guy that interrogated Hikaru the night he found Omega Xis.
"There's a whole mess of Viruses right above you!" Goyoda calls out.
Taking out vacuum-like devices the EM Police pointed them upwards and started sucking up the viruses.
"It's those bothersome humans from 2 days ago." Omega Xis said.
"Let's leave the viruses to them. I need to save Yukana and her friend." Hikaru said taking off. Little did he know Goyoda's smartwatch was tracking his EM wave readings.
"Hey, these are the same as that night." He recalled following after.
Helping Yukana up over a car, Ranko got her out of the way.
As Yukana and Ranko tried to get away from the crashes, Ranko took a step but her foot got stuck on a manhole.
"Ranko hurry up!" Yukana said.
"My shoe is stuck!" Ranko calls out.
"What?!" Yukana gasps/
As the bus continued speeding through the streets, one car got in the way causing it to swerve right towards Ranko.
"Gotta move fast!" Hikaru said rushing in.
"Change your wave frequency now!" Omega Xis yells.
Cringing Ranko flinched in fear as she was about to be flattened.
"RANKO!" Yukana yells when suddenly Hikaru lunged forward at the last second stopping the bus just before it hit her.
Slowly opening her eyes, Ranko gasps to see Hikaru over her holding the bus back.
"Good thing I made it in time." He smiles.
"Y-You saved me?" Ranko said as a soft blush appeared on her face.
With a big push, Hikaru pushed the bus away so he could help Ranko.
Bending down he helps get her foot free. "There you go. You're not hurt, are you?"
"Uh no. I'm good." She said nervously.
"That's a relief. Let's get you away from this mess." Hikaru said picking Ranko up bridal style and leaping over the car wrecks to the sidewalk.
Looking at him, Ranko was speechless. He had dropped in almost out of nowhere and saved her life. She didn't know who this person was but he was amazing.
"Thank you, I'm Ranko Honjou by the way. And who are you?" She asks.
"Who am I?" He pauses.
Looking to Omega Xis on his arm and then to himself.
"Uh Omega…Man. No uh, Mega Man. Yeah, my name is Mega Man." He declares.
"So Mega Man huh?" Racing towards them, Detective Goyoda stormed right up to the newly named hero.
"Uh you might want to go." Mega Man said gesturing for Ranko to leave.
Nodding she quickly ran to find Yukana.
"So you're the one behind all those mysterious EM waves. Well, guess what Mega Man? You're coming with me to the station." Goyoda declares.
Mega Man was about to answer when Omega Xis sensed something.
"Up there." He said getting Mega Man's attention.
"Sorry gotta go." Changing his frequency Mega Man leaped back onto the EM road much to Goyoda's surprise.
"What the? How did he?" Goyoda said confused.
Landing on the road above everyone, Mega Man was on the lookout for something when suddenly a Large Hotroader Virus with two small ones appeared across from him.
"That's it, Hikaru. That big one is the cause of the bus going out of control." Omega Xis said.
"Meaning if we want to stop this mess we gotta take it down." Mega Man realized.
"Now you're learning." Omega Xis said as the two small Hotroaders raced in.
Jumping around Mega Man fired his mega buster it wasn't enough to stop them.
Racing in the big Hotroader rammed into him sending him tumbling back.
"We need to slow them down. Use another battle card." Omega Xis said.
"Fine with me. Battle card Plasma Gun!" Activating a new one Mega Man's arm changed to an electro gun.
Firing blasts of electricity the big Hotroader was paralyzed stopping it in its tracks.
As the other two charged in, Mega Man fires two more blasts paralyzing them.
"Now hit them hard. Take them out in one shot!" Omega Xis said.
"I got just the one. Battle card Power Bomb!" As his gun disappeared a large black bomb appeared in his hands. Throwing with all his might Mega Man's bomb dropped right on the viruses causing a big explosion.
Panting heavily, Mega Man looked around to see all the viruses had been gathered up and the damages were being cleaned up.
"Is it over?" Mega Man asks.
"Yes. We managed to stop them in time." Omega Xis nods.
Sighing in relief, the two of them separate landing back in the alley where Hikaru hid.
"Yukana!" Peeking out he saw Yukana and Ranko hug. "I was like so worried about you!"
"I'm fine really," Ranko assures.
"What happened? I thought you were a goner." Yukana asks.
"Me too. Then he showed up and saved my life." Ranko smiles.
As the two friends hugged happy that they were safe Ranko had decided to go home to rest after that mess, but Yukana was still going to the café to meet up with Hikaru.
"I'm glad they're both safe." Hikaru smiles.
"Now who's acting like a good boyfriend?" Omega Xis smirks.
As much as he wanted to say he wasn't Hikaru stopped himself.
"Hey uh Omega Xis…what was that thing you said earlier? About things being good?" Hikaru asks.
"Well kid, you've spent so much time waiting for things to happen. Waiting for your mom, waiting for Yukana to lose interest, you're just waiting for things to happen good or bad. What even is good or bad? You saved those girls but that cop calls you bad? How did you feel when you helped them?" Omega Xis asks.
"I felt good. Like this warm feeling inside." Hikaru said.
"Don't you want a girlfriend?" Omega Xis asks.
"Yeah maybe someday," Hikaru said.
"Why wait? Why save the good stuff for later? Don't you think you deserve some good stuff now?" Omega Xis asks.
Slowly Hikaru turned around looking in the direction where the café Yukana was waiting for him was at.
"You say you want a girlfriend someday but right down that street is a girl who wants to be your girlfriend now." Omega Xis said.
Even though Hikaru didn't know it, Omega Xis appeared next to Hikaru and put a claw on his shoulder.
"Come on kid. What do you got to lose?" Omega Xis asks.
Sighing a smile appears on Hikaru's face. "Oh what the heck?"
At the café, Yukana was sitting at a table looking at her phone unsure what was keeping him when suddenly the door opened.
"Hey is this seat taken?" Hikaru asks walking over.
"Like it's about time. I thought you were ghosting me." Yukana said.
"Sorry, I got held up. Some accident blocked the sidewalk." Hikaru said sitting down across from her.
"Oh my god you are not gonna believe this but I was there. Some guy in a blue suit saved Ranko from a truck. It was insane." Yukana said.
"You don't say." Hikaru said pretending to be amazed.
"Yeah she and my friends were going to join us but that was just too much excitement for them. So it's just us." Yukana said.
"Well I'm glad you're all okay. Did you get a name of this guy?" Hikaru asks.
"I think I heard the name Mega Man. Weird name, right? How does someone even come up with something like that?" Yukana asks.
"No idea." Hikaru shrugs.
"Well, enough about that scary stuff. Come on, we're supposed to be having a date. Let's have some fun." Yukana smiles.
"Yeah, you're right. Hey, how as an apology I get us something to drink?" Hikaru offers.
Ordering two drinks, Hikaru and Yukana talked for a while, and to Hikaru's surprise, he was actually enjoying it.
"So you're into all that space stuff huh?" Yukana asks.
"Yeah sorta. My mom got me into it. I like stargazing from time to time. I have my own little spot by the river." Hikaru said.
"You'll have to show me it to me sometime," Yukana said.
"You want to come?" Hikaru said surprised.
"Yeah. A beautiful night, together under the stars. Sounds nice." Yukana smiles.
Hearing this Hikaru couldn't help but blush before sipping his drink.
"So uh Yukana what do you like to do for fun?" Hikaru asks.
"Well one thing I always love is karaoke. You like singing?" Yukana asks.
"I dabble but I've never gone with anyone before," Hikaru said.
"Ooh well, then I think I just figured out our next date," Yukana said getting his attention.
"There's a next one?" Hikaru asks.
"Oh yeah, you're fun to talk to. I'm having a great time." Yukana said.
Smiling Hikaru glanced down at his watch to see Omega Xis raise an eyebrow and smirk at him saying. "Told ya so."
"You know Yukana…I-I'm really glad you said yes. I'm having a lot of fun with you. More than I have in a while." Hikaru smiles.
"Oh stop no need to get all sappy. You're gonna make me blush." Yukana giggles.
"Sorry." Hikaru chuckles when he noticed Yukana staring at him. "Uh what? Do I have something on my face?"
"No it's just you got a nice smile and laugh. You should try doing it more often." Yukana teases.
"Uh yeah maybe I should." Hikaru said.
Even though parts of it was still awkward Hikaru was enjoying himself.
After the date, Hikaru and Yukana parted ways.
That night, Hikaru back home lying on his bed.
"So was I right or was I right?" Omega Xis asks.
"Okay, you were right." Hikaru said making him chuckle. "It was fun."
"Admit it, you're actually glad you asked her out." Omega Xis said.
"Well I don't hate it." Hikaru admits.
"I guess it's a start." Omega Xis said.
"Hey Omega Xis why were you so eager to have me go out with Yukana?" Hikaru asks.
"You humans clearly depend on your relationships with others and besides I can't always be around for you to talk to. You should consider bonding with more humans." Omega Xis said.
"What you mean like find more friends?" Hikaru asks.
'Among other things.' Omega Xis thought before hearing Hikaru take a deep breath. "You okay?"
"This day was even crazier than yesterday but it was also kinda nice." Hikaru said.
"You did good fighting off those EM Viruses." Omega Xis said.
"Omega Xis what happened back there? Why did all those viruses cause so much trouble?" Hikaru asks.
Listen you're gonna want to keep your eyes open for others like me out there. I'm not the only FM-ian who came to this planet." Omega Xis warns.
"There are more out there?" Hikaru said surprised.
"Yes and unfortunately they all have the same goal of destroying the earth." Omega Xis said.
"DESTROY THE EARTH?!" Hikaru panics.
"Hikaru everything alright in there? I heard screaming." His dad calls out from down the hall.
"Uh yeah dad! Just…found a cool new video game." Hikaru said.
"Well try not to play too much. It's still a school night." Kaito calls out.
"You got it." Hikaru said before turning to Omega Xis. "Start talking right now." Hikaru orders.
"The FM lifeforms are dangerous. Long ago before I was even born, they destroyed another planet. Planet AM. The Planet also created Electromagnetic Wave Viruses which create havoc in the EM wave world." Omega Xis explains.
"You mean like the ones I dealt with today?" Hikaru realized.
"Now that they know of the existence of your planet attacks will be more frequent." Omega Xis warns.
"But you're an FM-ian. Why did you come here? Why are you warning me about all this?" Hikaru asks.
"I betrayed them." Omega Xis simply stated.
"But then why did you betray them?" Hikaru asks.
"Good question. I'll get back to you on that one." Omega Xis said.
"Ugh the problems just keep piling up." Hikaru groans.
"I know this is a lot to ask but now that you know I need your help to keep the Viruses and FM-Ians from destroying your home." Omega Xis said.
Every part of Hikaru's body was screaming for him to say no and get out, but then he remembered how much he helped people. The happy look on Yukana and Ranko's faces when he saved them.
Pausing Hikaru looks at his necklace.
"I really helped those people today…even that Ranko girl. I guess since you can't do it on your own. Maybe I can help you out at least for the time being." Hikaru said making Omega Xis smile.
"I'm looking forward to your help, Mega Man." Omega Xis declares.
