31st October 1981

The ever argumentative gods- Zeus, Poseidon and Hades had called their sister, Hestia to settle another matter on Olympus; apparently the overly-argued question of whose children had been more powerful was back up and running. It seemed to be going in circles for hours and hours until Hades' head snapped up and he looked into an inset looking glass in the centre of the throne room. In the glass, amongst the storm the argument had kicked up in the mortal world, was a little cottage Hades knew to be placed in Godric's Hollow of England. But something was wrong. A door that he had seen jammed shut for months was blasted open with rain pouring in through the gaping hole. The god could see a body and Hades sensed another soul entering his realm. The soul of one James Potter.

"No."

A cloaked figure was ascending the staircase and the looking glass followed its path. The other siblings were now looking over Hades' shoulder, curious as to what was agitating him. The figure reached the top of the stairs and threw open a door seemingly telekeneticly. A woman with red hair was on the floor in front of a baby crib. The woman was screaming, the baby was watching.

"No!"

Hades pounded the glass, "Lily! No! Not Lily!" the figure seemed to be trying to force the woman out of the way before a flash of green light made her drop like a sack of potatoes to the floor. Lily Potter's soul began its trip to the underworld.

"NO! YOU EVIL INCARNATE WHY?! DON'T YOU DARE! DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY HARMONIA! YOU ARE NOT TOUCHING ALL I HAVE LEFT OF LILY! YOU ARE NOT KILLING MY LITTLE GIRL!"

Hades was screaming. The others were frozen in horror and realisation. The figure turned to the baby girl in the crib slowly and faintly a stick of wood could be seen pointing at the girl.

"HAAADEEEESS! YOU BROKE YOUR OATH? TRAITOR! THE GIRL WILL DIE!" Zeus was enraged and was prepared to strike the girl down himself. Energy was crackling in the atmosphere and a bolt of lighting was about to strike but amidst the confusion and chaos, three elderly voices cried, "WAIT! The girl must live, she is not the one of the great prophecy you fear so deeply, that child will not be born for years. but should this one die before her time then you will doom all that exists to cataclysmic horror of unknown proportions!" the fates implored Zeus to stop. He was too late to stop his strike but the fates had done their job, the bolt struck the house and not the girl, decimating it and leaving her alive but not unscathed.

Simultaneously a curious thing happened, the cloaked figure let out another green blast but this time he was writhing in agony. The body fell to ash and all present saw a red mist tear itself away and flee as the cloak fell to the floor. The world shook at the impact of Zeus' master bolt and the roof of the house it struck caved in around the baby girl.

Out of the view of the gods bar Hestia who was the only one paying close enough attention, the others were trying to fight, a strong breeze swept through the house and a miniscule cloud of red was blown towards the baby girl. Said girl was now babbling at and reaching for her mothers dead body, unconsciously wrapping herself in shadows and ignoring the cut that had been forced upon her by the falling rubble As such she did not notice what the goddess had; the red mist filtering its way into the girls cut, which was bound to scar.

"Explain." Zeus ground out, he was now angry, confused and ready to drink his way to hooking up with that hot chick he'd seen in a movie recently - Brittany Grace or something.

"I never intended to have a kid with her, but I met Lily about three years ago she and had just gotten married. Her husband wasnt abusive but he was always busy, only really interacting with her when he wanted sex after a 'hard' days work. I was her shoulder to cry on, slowly I fell in love and she reciprocated my feelings. She actually thought herself infertile because of an accident she'd had years previously. A year or so into our relationship she told me she was pregnant, I was hoping she might consider an abortion but she had too many reasons to keep it. For one she'd never given up on the idea of having a child so this was a blessing to her. She'd already told her husband and he was under the impression that it was his child. And to top it all off she told me that she was a witch, you know, one of the ones from Hecate's pet world so aborting the baby if it was magical would lead to its magic lashing out and killing her to try and fight for its life." Hades sighed and looked up at his brothers.

"That's when I came clean and told her I was a god and what of. I expected her to recoil, to hate me. I almost hoped, so it would be easier to separate. But Lily was like almost no other, not even Maria could compare to her with how accepting she was. There was nothing to do except love and cherish her and the baby from afar. I consulted the fates, I wanted my new daughter, Harmonia Quinn Potter to live a long and happy life. They said I could rest my worries about her being the hero of the great prophecy as she had her own fate. They warned me of her involvement in another prophecy that could could greatly affect all life, depending on her survival. I'm heartbroken to know how much is on her shoulders and I will not let anyone harm her." The sincerity in Hades' voice was devastating and all three brothers knew at least one woman they had felt like this towards in their immortal lives.

A voice interrupted their musings, "We will act, we will bend the ancient laws as far as we can push them. We will not raise her on Olympus or the underworld nor will we have her raised in the camps. But we shall visit her throughout her life wherever she does live. Keep her healthy, supply her with love and support. I will 'live' near her. Become a babysitter of sorts for whoever is to be her guardian. We will not intervene until she is old enough to act for herself but we, along with the other Olympians will bless, heal and cherish her from her home." Hestia stood proud and made her declaration leaving no room for doubt, "I will not let this child be weaponized, she will be raised in our family and bring us together, she is all of ours to raise. Except maybe Hera and Demeter, you'd never hear the end of it from our sisters."

Poseidon chimed in, "She's right brother, it'll be bad enough when they find out about her, they'd probably kill her before we could explain."
