I was backing up to park in the main square as Lewis was waving his arms to guide me. He then helped me open the back and organize some items. I am having what in the city is called junk in the trunk sale.

He looked around as he helped me and bought an old wallet, a crystal duck and a old expensive and good condition purse that I just did not like. "Who is that for?" I asked him and he looked around nervously.

"Me." He then walked off awkwardly looking back at me once. I gave a small chest laugh as I watched him amused.

A few people came to look, the lady that works the till at Jojamart. Then a group of mothers came, I know know them all. Caroline was quiet as she looked around but Jodi, Sam's mom, was chatty and told me about the yoga class they have every week, when she said that I saw Caroline look at me and her fast like she told me about some secret and looked mad when Jodi invited me, it was almost all the women in town, she did joke that the doctor likes to come.

I guess I wont be going to that sadly.

My favorite was the old lady of the village. Evelyn. Her husband was bestfriends with my grandpa. She told me funny story's about them how they used to hunt and fish before he landed in a wheel chair. She bought so many things that reminded her of Max and wanted to surprise her husband including his tackle box and fishing rods.

We talked and there was this crystal ashtray I was using that Max got at his wedding from George so I told her I would go home and give it to him. She said he would love that but talked me into keeping it as it really was old and a piece of my grandparent's.

I needed to clean that and treat it better, take it home.

I really know nothing, my mom just took me away completely.

It was a long day and the sun was setting and a few people bought things, sadly not enough. I sat on the back just playing offline games I had stored kicking my legs like a child.

I smelled him in the wind and my arm hair raised like I was a dog, I sniffed. Mothballs, bad after shave and looking down the road there he was waddling right to me. I Jumped up and slammed the back of my truck before pulling out my key's.

He got so close to me I could punch him in the face as it made me feel wrong and scared wanting to yell about personal space.

"I am here to offer you a large amount for your farm." He adjusted his stupidly small round glasses and looked like he won some bet. "As much as you want."

"No." I spoke clearly and walked around him trying to get some space.

"But you don't know how much I can really give." Morris spoke with the most annoying voice.

"I said no." I spoke with a bit of annoyance as he looked in the back of the truck. I headed to the front of the truck looking for my car key on the chain.

"Hey I am here to shop." He spoke pulling out a wade of cash like I was to be impressed.

"Its over, please go."

I opened the truck door. "Listen here you little trollop."

That made me pause and look back a little pissed at the creep. I almost wished he would touch me at the way he makes my insides grind.

"Are you a man that does not know what the word No means." I stepped closer with a weird calm, he got angry at me and glared.

"You do not want me as a enemy." He stepped forward but I held my ground, men like him don't scare me. "I want your farm and you will be set for life, get everything you want."

"What I want Is for you to leave me alone, I will not, so go."

He stood there for a few minutes. "This is not over." He spoke before he walked away.

"Yes it is." I spoke loudly for him to hear and sat in my front seat waiting for him to leave my heart beating out of my chest at the conflict. I started it up.

I drove towards home but not wanting to go back yet I parked in the parking spot before covering the back of the truck bed with a cover and leaned on it having a smoke making sure he was gone.

"Thank you." I jumped and looked at Lewis smiling at me kindly.

I kindly smiled back and headed to the bar, he held up his hand for a high five as I passed and I returned it.

The trio was at the pool table and I slid and ordered three beers hoping if I walk over they will not just push me away. I really liked them. I looked at Shane wanting to smile at him and say hi but he looked angry as he stared at his beer like it called him ugly not even noticing me.

Sam excitedly called my nickname and Abigail smiled, getting a friendly nod from Sabastian. I was excited as I grabbed the beers and walked over.

"So you cleaned up that farm?" She asked me. "I did enjoy running through them old overgrown fields before you got here." She shook her head. "I miss it."

"Well it is still overgrown go run to your hearts content." I said back.

"Well I should before some asshole buy's it." She spoke lost in thought.

"I would keep it." Sabastian spoke as Sam was carefully aiming not paying attention with his tongue slightly out the side of his mouth. "I would rent it out, this town is a hidden gem for a vacation."

"Ya, so why do you want to leave?" She glared at him.

"Because I love the city." He spoke as Sam hit the ball and it bounced over what he wanted to hit and cried in shock.

"It's the city girls." Sam spoke back mindlessly but that made Abigail snap to him with pain on her face.

"Please what is the best thing about the city that we don't have." She looked at me serious.

"Ya, the places to eat mostly." I sighed looking at my feet. "You can get yourself anything at three in the morning." I looked between them. "What else do you guy's even do here?" I asked before sipping my whisky and coke.

"Just video game's really." Sabastian spoke and Sam nodded towards the old school arcade.

"I tried that." looking at it. "Shooting asteroids might have been fun once but I love Mmorpgs online, I don't have internet here so that sucks." Sabastian looked at me excited, a real emotion on that blank face took me by surprise.

I spotted a small sad shift in the smile of Abigail. "Oh we play the pen and paper version of them, you know." Her voice was louder. "With one more I bet we could have a real go at it." She faced Sabastian. "Right she would be the one we need." Something about the way she said that felt off, I don't know why.

"I have a few fighting games." Sam sang. "I am great at them."

"You suck." Abigail loudly joked.

"Better then you." He joked hitting a ball again and missing the hole.

"You two can't beat me at shit." Dark mans calm pretty voice spoke. These guy's are cute. Kind of glad to have met them.

I hopped in my car the sun so low the town lights were on. I yawned and turned up the music going to head home. I spotted the map I have near the foot mat of the passengers side and peeked at it still not feeling like going home with a small buzz.

There is a way into my farm from the south that is obviously never used, below that is lakes forests a few farms and I was curious as I had not gone that way just yet. Maybe I can find the exit and clear out the road if it was not all that bad and just explore more of this place.

I still have not even explored the forest on my land yet and I could figure out how large it really was. So I headed down a new dirt road.

It was a long road, tree's blocked by old and easily breakable wooden fence. The thick and fast moving river was nice along the dark road, not a single light but my headlights. I passed an area where there was a break in the fence and small foot warn down road looking like a walking path in the middle of nowhere.

I felt in a horror movie and gave up after a while about to turn around, pulling over to u turn my car puttered and stopped and the lights went out taking out all noise but the river and some bugs.

I turned the key a few times and would not start. "Fuck." I slammed my hands on the wheel. "Come on boy." I cried putting my forehead on the wheel and tried once more.

I opened the door worried looking around still in the middle of nowhere and opened the hood. I stared for two minutes in the pitch black, even if I could see I don't know what I am doing. I slammed it shut and leaned on it.

Okay, I drove for a while. I could find my farm over here and walk in the dark forest lost even if it was on my land. No.

Walking back to town and then home will take about two to three hours with the amount I have already drove. I opened my phone and remembered I had Lewis, I smiled so happy and called him. It wrung. I tried again worried. He never picked up. I don't have the numbers on anyone else in town.

Checking the time it was a little after midnight.

I moaned but I heard a small moo in the distance, there is a home over there somewhere maybe they can help me. I took my important shit and left my car on the side of the road and trekked down the creepy dark road alone pulling my sweater tighter as I crossed my arms.

The moo's got louder as time went on and I came to a large farm, there was about 20 cows around. The largest Barns scattered the area and a pin that looked like it was for a horse.

The biggest chicken coop I stared at as I walked painted purple, with child like flowers on the lower back. The farm was so large it took ages to just walk passed the land of cows.

One walked next to me for a minute before leaving, I just smiled at it until it left.

I hear Marnie has animals, maybe this is her place.

Good a person I kind of know. Lewis introduced us once. The home was small compared to the land. I walked down the long dark driveway pausing halfway not seeing a single light.

Do I wake her. At this point, I think so.

I could not move.

Checking the time it was almost one now.

Then I heard the noise of fast tires on dirt road. I ran closer to the road as headlights that swayed a little came at me fast. I recognized the truck as I jumped back it almost hit me turning fast into the driveway screeching to a stop.

He opened his door and beer cans came falling onto the ground making a light turn on inside and I stood there frozen. He stumbled to the door and I can't believe he drives that drunk.

"Shane?" I called out.

He paused and stumbled to the door. "Leave me alone." The front light turned on making him stop moving. "Shit."

"Oh I would but my car broke down and I don't know what to do." He seems so cold.

He looked at me so wasted his eye's squinted. "Ah that was your truck. That sucks, I can't fix it." He headed to the door.

The red haired women slammed open the door and started to yell at him. "Driving drunk again so recklessly I could hear you from my bedroom." She spoke with only a small amount of concern but mostly sounded disappointed in him.

"Deal with that." He spoke as he walked passed her into the home and she looked at me shocked, I just gave a small wave.

"Abby?" I stepped forward as she spoke. "What are you doing out here?" Really, Abby? Come on.

"Almost getting run over." I joked but she just looked at the ground in defeat. "Sorry bad joke." I spoke as I stepped forward. "My truck broke down and I um." She looked sadly before she waved me in.

I stood confused for a second. "That is okay I just need, anything else."

"No, come in dear it's the middle of the night. This place is safe but no pretty young girl should be walking alone." I nodded and walked towards her, I don't know her this well but Lewis trusted her so I guess I should. Shane lives here huh? No one connected that for me. So Marnie is his mom?

The front was a small store, she walked me into an old kitchen that looked homey with small cows everywhere. A flower colored table mat that screamed grandma, I saw the door at the end of the hallway slam shut and she took me to a small living room with an old tv.

"Your son is hard to get to know." I joked.

"Oh, he is not my son." She walked off. "Aunt, my brothers." She looked down the hallway with a frown like she was lost in thought. "Been here for almost a year, he had a rough time." She patted me and pulled out a blanket from a closet. "I try." She sounded so sad.

The lights all went out and it was hard to see as I walked to the old squishy couch so warn I fell. It was that blanket, I noticed when I kicked off my shoes and sat down. The old crusty one that hurts and tickles. It was quiet as I laid down lost in my head.

I woke up to many roosters yelling so loud. I sat up rubbing my hair as I stared at the wall, it is so early the sun is not up.

He does have a lot of cock, I giggled to myself. I now have to walk to my truck. I screamed in my head when I heard a shuffle. Peeking into the kitchen Shane was putting bread in the toaster.

I walked out softly on the wooden floor. "Morning."

He was quiet for a second. "I don't have time to chat with you."

"Okay." I felt so unwelcome and he still needed to wait for his toast. I paused but the longer the seconds the weirder it felt, I spun in awkwardness and headed out the door. "I am going to go to my truck now, tell Marnie thank you."

The early morning was a little cold, the dew in the air felt really nice as I curled my arms into my body wishing for a warmer sweater.

I walked for about ten minutes when Shane came tearing down the road, a small rock flew from his wheel almost hitting me in the leg. That made me annoyed at him, he almost hit me again.

After a bit I was happy to see the shiny silver of my truck, I leaned on it seeing if it was broken into, it seemed fine. I looked down the road wishing for a coffee and to wake up before this.

I started to fight with Shane in my head for just driving passed me but then why would he need to pick me up. We ain't even friends, I don't know a single thing about him. I perked up at the sound of a car, Lewis came for me.

"Hey little lady need a ride." He smiled at me.

"Never been so happy to hop in some man's truck."

We got my truck attached to his in the most illegal and bad way but I did not care as he drove me to town. "How did you know I was stranded?" I asked him.

"Shane told me." Really? "Even if he just grunted like a caveman and drove off."

Passing over the river we came to an old building with a large Anvil out front. Out came an older man with an impressive beard that I have seen before. Shaggy light brown hair and he wore an apron. "Lewis." He called out.

"Clint." He yelled back. "This lady's truck has stopped working." Clint nodded before walking back inside and I helped remove mine from Lewis' truck.

"Clint is our local blacksmith." Blacksmith? A blacksmith, what does that mean in this day and age? "He also has someway with trucks." I nodded confused but did not voice my not so pleasant reaction.

I joked inside about him making swords when I walked inside and found out, he really does make swords and suddenly he became the coolest guy in Pelican town as I picked one off the wall. It was heavy and amazing.

I felt bad for judging him.

He was looking at my car and yelled inside. "This will take me an hour." I hung it back up and walked outside to the shop area. "Like the swords?" He smiled excited. "If you want I can make one perfect for you, just need your height."

"That, would be so cool." I leaned on the wall looking him over he looked like a mountain man with that amazing long beard and even if he was larger it looked like pure muscle and I could not place his age at all.

"So your a girl."

"Um yes." I spoke worried where he was going.

"How um, how do you ask out a lady?" He did not even look my way embarrassed.

"Oh." I was stunned, I don't know at all. "Ask her her hobbies and actually listen." He looked at me slightly and back to my truck. It was silent for a moment. "Don't just look at her and think dirty." I sighed feeling this and being serious. "We can tell." I spoke softly. "So just really get to know her."

He looked like he was thinking but felt younger then he looks, he does not know women obviously. His hair could use a brush but he was not unfortunate looking.

"So, do you have a hobby?" He was nervous and I smiled.

"Napping." I said looking at the cloudy early morning sun as a joke and he looked at me like I was crazy. "What, find a nice place to lay down, great feeling."

He laughed a little.

"How about you?" I asked.

"This." He smiled. "I got to do this for a job, great feeling." He smiled back.

"See, there you go, you got it."

"Thanks'." He laughed before he made a noise. "Sorry but this will be actually about three hours, glad you came in it needs work in a few places." I frowned and watched him worrying about the price. "I see some copper in the back." He looked at me nervous like he was afraid to ask me.

"Take what you want, it is going to be donated anyway."

With nothing to do I wondered off. I found my way into the library and went looking for some naughty girl books. I browsed for age's, they are hard to find. I don't read much anymore but my t.v has no channels and reading is fun.

I heard giggles as that girl Penny and two kids all flopped into a small corner with beanbag chairs excited. I watched as she started to read a book to them. She looked at me and smiled and I smiled back before I went back searching.

I found two I think, with my bag I walked along the river and sat down picking up a stone and tossing it in the air and catching it, I watched the water move slowly seeing the bottom it was so clear. I tossed the rock in and then stuck my hand in it and let it wash over it.

I leaned back on my arms my hand landing on another stone I picked up and looked at.

Looking up at a noise Sam was across from me, his smile brightened when I spotted him and gave me a head nod.

I waved and then threw the rock at it him, he slid over and it hit the ground. He looked around at his feet and picked one up, his arm rolled back and I jumped to my feet at the strength he was putting into it. I did not dodge it in time and it hit me in the leg hurting so bad I jumped in pain.

I pointed at him and he made a gesture that said I am not afraid of you. We started a rock fight for a good minute. One large one did not make it to me and splashed by my feet getting me a little wet.

He laughed and headed over to the nearby bridge walking to me with his hands behind his head. "Got to get my brother."

"Oh you have a brother?"

"Ya, penny reads to them, does classes, the only schools around are for all the neighboring towns and when it comes to the young kids there is less days. She is a good teacher." He smiled looking towards the library. "Such a good girl." I liked that look on his face.

"So they are coming over to practice." He spoke confusing me and he noticed and laughed. "We have a band, Sabastian and recently Abigail, been close these last few months she's loud, she is like the little sister I never had."

"Oh cool what do u play?"

"guitar but I know a bit of everything, Sab plays keyboard and Abigail is a decent drummer."

"That is cool." I was interested. "You know, you all are so interesting here." I looked around and he looked proud. "Hey can I have your number." I pulled my phone out and he took it.

He giggled and handed it back, looking at it he named it Sexy Sam making me giggle back. He walked off and I laughed harder as there was a large brown leaf on his ass. I ran up and took it off noticing his butt was wet and I looked at him weird.

"Ah I was in the tree." He started to walk again. "A good view of the town, I will show you the tree sometime." And he walked off his hands locking behind his head almost bouncing away.

I hung up finally after being ranted to by my mother about how I am still here.

It pissed me off but I said nothing. Why does she hate this place? Ya it has downfalls but also so many good points.

Sipping my coffee on my porch, you can't get this at home.

I eventually picked up my ax and started to clear the path to the other side of the town.

All the way south from the cabin.

I am somehow between roads and how awesome would it be to just walk to Marnie's if I ever get a chicken. I froze mid swing and stood up.

I want a chicken?

I brought a small weed wacker and started to clear. I walked back for a break of food and coffee and went back to it. I started to line it with all the rocks I came across wanting to make it a cute little path, a strong urge to grab solar powered garden lights and line it.

There was a fallen tree I needed to split apart, slamming the axe into it was freeing, the more I smashed the more all my emotions hit me and I put it into the axe letting it all out.

I realized I feel stupid, lonely, not good enough. Ugly, not good at anything.

Thoughts on my crappy friends I hold back because I am alone, how I hate the jobs I get in the city, feeling like I have no future. What do I want to do if I go back to school.

I got angry and it broke in half and I fell backwards.

Holding out the ax to not harm me as I sat up right and noticed I had tears on my face. I sat down feeling better as I stared at the log. That was like therapy. I wanted to quit now but what else do I do, I kept going with breaks.

I hit a fence and looking back it was a long walk back to the cabin, this place is huge I am gonna need to see how far the X axis is. I saw the fence ended a few feet away, I cleared my way there and came to an opening to the part I wanted to hit.

My whole body hurt when I spotted deep in the grass on my yard was another larger pond.

Okay, I need to raise the price in my head.

I noticed as I walked into the clean forest that was not part of my land that Marnie's farm was just around a small corner. I was closer to her then I thought. I went back to clean the road near the pond to get a better look but my phone rung.

I paced as she apologized that her issues are not mine. I leaned on the fence holding my dangling ax. "Ya, I just got off work, ordered some chicken wings just waiting in my car." She spoke cutting out a little now and again.

"Oh, wings, don't remind me." I moaned mindlessly walking away from my farm at the fuzz trying to get to a clearer spot. "Maybe I could make my own." Staring at Marnie's farm.

"Ya, another reason I will never go back there." She laughed. "Have you done any farm work yet? I would love to see you do that."

"You would be surprised at what I have done, I am." I laughed . "But truthfully I would rake it in if I opened a small restaurant." I smiled. She cut out again so I walked farther and found her again.

"You almost done?"

"Done what?" I asked.

"The farm."

"Well, I wanted to run it by you." She made a noise. "What if I keep it and rent it out like a cabin in the woods."

"Then you need to be there all the time, watch the people. Fix what they break, stupid." My dreams got crushed and I stared at the ground sadly. "Just finish what you need to do and come back home."

I listen to her, I admire her together mind and she was right, it is a long way here and to check in on them would be a lot of commuting. Some of the younger in the town would love random people coming through but I bet the older wont like strangers destroying their town.

I felt so sad standing there in the middle of nowhere with an axe in my hand. I was not far from a real large pond or small lake. I walked down the creaky dock and sat on the edge laying my ax behind me.

I watched the sun set really liking this place.

I don't want to sell his place but I feel like I need to.

It was an amazing view kicking my feet like child over the water. I heard the clink and the feet and I looked behind me shocked when Shane stopped moving and glared at me like I was in his spot.

I just gave a sad smile and patted next to me. He rolled his eye's and looked behind him then back at my axe with a question on his face. "Well I don't know you." He pointed at it. "Ah, an interesting way to go." And he stumbled down the dock as I chuckled at his joke feeling beer already by the way he walked.

"Only if you don't sit down."

"Can't say no then." He sat next to me and placed a case of beer between us. Other then work I never see him without a beer in his hand. I checked him over and he pulled out a beer and opened it before sipping it. His eye's slid over to me so I looked back at the pretty view.

He handed me one staring at my face the sunset making his blue eye's glow with sadness. I took it trying not to touch his hand and opened it, with a sip I looked down and made a noise at how good this tasted.

"Ya, Gus does not have this so it is a treat when I have a chance to get them." I nodded it was good.

"This town needs more." I sipped again.

"It is missing the best at the same time, no fake people trying to get to you for superficial reasons." I looked at him glower and noticed I don't know him at all, what did that mean? "Spend more time with animals then people." He sighed. "The way gossip travels here sucks."

"Sit on a dock drinking a beer in the forest with a stranger." I smiled and chugged it. "Plus."

He made a noise and chugged his, I watched his hand raise to throw it into the lake and I grabbed it glaring at him and spoke. "Assholes throwing their garbage." He made the noise again and let me take it from his hand and place it between us.

"Fuck you." he spoke back but he pulled out two more handing me another.

Okay.

The sun was gone and the sky was a dark blue, the stars coming out made me gasp. I knew I saw more here then the city but without a single light it brought them all out with the clearest skies I have seen since I got here. I stared at them all happy seeing a few falling stars.

"Wish." I spoke and he stared with me, I smiled as he just watched the sky.

"No." Was so quiet I almost did not hear it.

I saw him look at me and I looked back.

We sat so quiet and he chugged another and cracked one open.

This guy.

"Life." I heard him speak so quietly. "You ever feel like no matter what you do you will fail." He took a big drink as I sipped this one and looked at him kind of feeling that myself. "Like your stuck in a miserable abyss where you can't see the light of day." He finished his drink and went to throw it but I grabbed it from his hand again this time my hand wrapped around his and I pulled it away.

"Hea." He cracked another beer, I think it was almost all gone. "You try and climb out of the dark hole and you just can't."

I was frozen and did not know what to say.

He looked at me as I took a big drink of my beer staring at him curious. "Don't make that a habit, you got a future." He was so sad but he was talking to me.

"I have many many holes." I mumbled back trying not to place a single one. "And my future is nothing."

"How did you get out?" He swayed looking at me.

"I am still not really out." I smiled bright and sipped. I stopped myself from talking and sharing my woes, I did not need a second depressed person sitting here. "Find the light I guess?"

He hiccupped. "How?" He spoke with anger, I sat there.

I don't know.

Unsure what to say I stood up. "Like this." I smiled as I kicked off my shoes and socks before pulling down my pants but leaving my underwear on. His red cheeks started to match his eye's and he looked away, I tossed my shirt on his head and jumped in.

The cold water shocked my body, the air in my lungs flowing out as I moaned underwater. This was this a mistake, damn. What am I doing? I don't do stuff like this.

I came up and looked at him shocked at myself, I watched him pull my shirt off his head and then look at my clothes next to him. "I put this on the list because I have never done this." I laughed. "But maybe should have waited a few weeks." I frowned knowing I wont be here in a few weeks.

He shook his head not looking at me with no emotion in his eye's.

"I am not naked." I laughed and he finally looked at me. "Come in." I smiled. "Don't worry this wont end in weird, I hope."

He stared at me like he was about to run and I thought he was when he stood up. I don't think he knew until he kicked off his shoes. He started to unbuckle his belt and stared at me with a threatening look, I giggled and turned around.

It took a moment as I looked at the sky feeling nervous. Is he gonna get naked or wear something. I felt the splash over my head making me turn around and he popped back up. "Fuck me." He treaded his hair stuck to his head blocking one eye. "Fuck you it's cold."

"Ya, have you done this?"

"No and it completely ruined my buzz, wasted beer." He was angry but now I did not know what to do that wont turn this romantic and keep the fun. My body was acclimating and I swam around a little loving it when a fish hit my foot and I screamed and jumped and he stared at me with startled eye's. "Fish, Fish."

He started to laugh so quiet but I heard it, running his hand through his hair pulling it off his face, he has a pretty face.

"What list?" He asked.

"huh?"

"You said a list?"

"Oh things I can't do in the city before I leave."

He stared at me lost in thought but it made me nervous.

"What else is on it?" He asked actually seemingly interested.

"Well really camping with friends in these woods." I smiled.

"Stupid."

"Ya, a bonfire on the beach." I smiled.

He paused. "Better."

It's like his troubles came back and his face got dark. I was almost done with this cold, I should grab my ax and go home before beer puts me to sleep but I just stared at him as he looked down unsure how to help him.

I got an idea.

"You know what." I paused. "Come to my farm during the day when you are free, I have something I want to show you."

"Will your clothes be on?"

"Yes." I laughed.

"To bad." He angrily spoke but I laughed. "Alright but I doubt it is any good."

"We will see."

We shared a look kind of like what do we do now, the air got tense and I kind of wanted to kiss him but I felt that was wrong. Then again I wont be here long, why not have a vacation fling. Also something I have never done.

"Okay I am out of here." He looked at me, he was unhappy but not as bad as he was before. "Everything is now inside me."

"Who is out there?" A girls voice came from the darkness.

He jumped, well as much as a person can jump floating in deep water. He just swam to the shore fast. "Don't let them know." He spoke quietly and I watched him pull himself up looking away as his blue boxers clung to his body and I slightly saw something I should not have seen.

I bit my lip holding back a laugh so he does not know. Once he was up I headed over.

I pulled myself onto the shore as he grabbed his clothes. "You Okay?" I heard the female speak again and Leah came out of the woods as I grabbed my clothes but I was frozen scared as Shane was gone into the dark leaving his beer.

Why is he so scared? He left his beer, ya, he really does not want to be seen like this.

I don't think she saw him and she paused looking me over. "Was that a man here?" She stepped towards where he was going and I stepped in front of the beer trying to hide it.

She smiled at me like I was doing something naughty. "Who was that?" She sung.

"Ya, that was." I froze. "Fred"

"Fred, who is Fred?"

"He is from, home." I nodded biting my lip and leaning forward. "You know, the city."

"Can I meet him where did he go?"

"Oh he had to.." I looked into the dark. "Take a shit." She gave a weird look. "Badly. Diarrhea" I stuck my arm at her excited at my lie.

She looked a little disgusted. "Okay. Just wanted to make sure everyone was okay. It is cold and no one really swims around here now, glad everyone is okay."

"So cold." I spoke shaking giving me a chance to slide my clothes back on. She looked at me like I was interesting and about to have a fun night before she frowned and turned away waving walking back into the darkness.

I looked down, grabbing the empty cans and filled ones. I spotted my ax and sighed trying to pick that up as well juggling it all in my hands.

We were a short walk through forest to Marnie's, Shane nowhere around. I placed the full cans at his door step unsure where he ran away to taking the empty ones to throw out at home. Half way walking back through my fields I noticed it was the same beer cans that scattered around this place when I got here.

I looked back at the way I came wondering if maybe it was not my grandpa that drank here so much. I wonder if Shane broke in.

I laid on the porch with my feet on my closed front door for a long time, my head hanging off the steps and stared at the sky. I don't know why I jumped in the water but I was proud to do something so daring, that is something I never do. Not only was it cold it was a little naughty.

I was with one boy in my life, it was bad.

It is embarrassing, I feel shameful and I never tell anyone or else I get made fun of.

I felt brave tonight.

I stared at the path I made opening the town up more to me was amazing. I thought I saw something making me flip over and look and squint into the darkness getting scared. I stood up and looked.

"Hello?"

I heard nothing. Not a noise. I was being crazy but so scared at being alone in a forest.

I just slid into my home and shut the door, I closed the nearby window and locked it. I moved to watch the cooking channel. They showed me how to cook a steak and I think I should try it. There is a tiny coal BBQ in the barn just need some coal.

Peeking into the dark night from my window I opened my phone and used some data looking up cute lights to line the path. I found something so cute and ordered it to Pierre's store as it was where it had to go.
