"Don't worry so much my dear - I'm sure Sergio took good care of the Girls"
Mariví put a reassuring hand on her daughter's shoulder after Raquel parked the car and looked worriedly at the front door of the house.
The thunderstorm that had hit Palawan last night had been very extreme and even if Raquel knew; that Paula was no longer afraid of thunderstorms, her mother was worried about Hestia and of course about the tense Relationship between Hestia and Sergio.
It had been almost two days , that Raquel had spent in the Hospital with her mother , so that the doctors could properly treat and bandage the sprained ankle.
How could her mother be so optimistic that everything would be fine? Maybe it was a special superpower , that you get when you become a Grandmother?
"I'm not so worried, Mom ...it´s just...", Raquel replied quickly and made Mariví laugh softly.
"For the last two days you only talked about, that you hope that Paula and Sergio get along well. Trust your feelings - the house is still there standing isn´t it?", joked Mariví and she was not entirely wrong.
Raquel knew that her boyfriend could be incredibly loving and sensitive. But the concerns had not disappeared in the two days.
"You're definitely right, mom - let's see if the three of them have already woken up"; said Raquel conciliatory and walked into the house with her mother, who had to use crutches to avoid straining her feet.
In the entrance area they were greeted by the Nurse who was around often helping Mariví and Raquel told the nice younger woman , what the visit to the hospital had revealed.
"Go upstairs - we'll make Pancakes in the meantime", Mariví smiled at her Daughter and then, with the help of the nurse, she went to the kitchen.
Raquel first looked in her daughter's room and when she did not find Paula there, she looked in the Guest room, but there was neither Hestia nor her daughter and Raquel did not even think to look in the bedroom at first, because it did not occur to her, that the two could be there ... right?
Raquel paused for a Moment and decided to give this possibility a chance anyway and when she opened the bedroom door - she couldn't believe her eyes for a moment.
Because Hestia and Paula were lying in the big bed and her Boyfriend had just opened one of the windows , to let fresh air into the room.
"Well - that's a surprise", said Raquel, unable to hide a smile.
Had those two days really made such a difference?
"Mom, you're back home. Is grandma back too? - Is she okay?", Paula climbed out of bed and ran to her mother to pull her into a hug.
"Hello Paula - yes, Grandma is downstairs in the Kitchen and she is feeling better. I'm happy to see you again", replied Raquel and stroked her daughter's hair once.
"I missed you mom. Hestia missed her Fathers yesterday during the Thunderstorm and we sat here with Sergio's and ... Mom, I'm sorry that I was so mean to Sergio ..." Paula said , broke out of the hug and looked at her mother sadly. That was the second surprise for Raquel , because for the time being she would not have expected Paula to apologize for her behavior - or voluntarily spend the night in the shared bedroom of the adults.
"You don't need to be sad, Hestia - your Fathers will definitely be with you in a few days," said Raquel with a smile to the toddler, who had decided to stay in bed and into the big and cuddling one of the pillows.
"And Paula...my Love ... no, we were already wondering why you behaved that Way towards Sergio. Would you like to talk about it?", Raquel asked gently and sat down - just like Sergio did on the right s lide next to Paula. At first Paula played a little uncertainly with the sleeve of her pajamas and didn't seem to know how to begin.
"What if you are angry with me?", Paula mumbled and it was Sergio who put a hand on the shoulder of the 10 year old.
"We won't Paula. If you want to talk about it, Raquel and I will listen to you", said Sergio and noticed that Hestia had probably fallen asleep again on the big Pillow.
"... okay ...", Paula said and looked from the sleeve of her pajamas first to Sergio and then to her Mother.
"... I didn't want to talk to Sergio or get to know him better - because Dad said he was a bad Person. Dad told me , that Sergio didn't like Children and was just being nice to me, so he could later drive me to a deserted place and drop them off there. In addition, Dad said as well, that Sergio used a love potion on you and you will more likely to believe him when I tell you that and ... that you see me as a liar and take his side ... I don't know why Dad lied to me - because Sergio is not a bad person ... ", Paula spoke quietly, glancing uncertainly at the adults.
Raquel pulled her daughter into a comforting hug and Sergio was able to recognize the anger Raquel was having at Alberto, since Raquel was looking directly at him.
There was a very logical reason , why Paula had acted so dismissive and ignorant towards her boyfriend. Because Alberto had manipulated the little girl and made her have the wrong Image of Sergio. It wasn't Paula's fault, and Raquel assured her daughter directly that it was not her fault at all.
"Your mother is right Paula. What your papa did was - not nice and you are not to blame for anything okay?", Sergio added and finally the three were in a group hug and Paula nodded - sighed in relief and was happy, that now everything was fine again.
"Okay ... can you show me tonight how to make these cute paper figures Sergio?", Paula asked after a few moments and the Professor answered her question with a smile. The tensions of the last few days, fell off the small family and the Professor received further good news a few minutes later via a message on his Smartphone.
"Andrés has the last Treatment in the hospital tomorrow. After that he will stay for another week for observation - but as it looks now, he is cured of his illness and is looking forward to seeing us and his daughter again in a week"; said the Professor after reading the message.
"This are wonderful news," beamed Raquel and kissed her boyfriend on the Cheek.
"Shall we go down to the kitchen and have breakfast? Grandma wanted to make pancakes Paula," added Raquel after a moment and at the word Pancakes Paula climbed off the edge of the bed and ran down into the kitchen to greet her grandma.
"It seems as if the last two summer nights brought a a bit clarifying in this situations, huh?", Raquel said and took Hestia, who had woken up from her short sleep phase and now happily greeted Raquel and cuddled close to the former Inspectora, in her arms.
Sergio also got up from the edge of the bed and ran a with his finger over his niece's cheek.
"Let's just say - I had some help from a Family member"
