"Hel how long has it been." The fallen god asked smiling as she approached her and pulling her into a hug.
"Been a while but I have no time for pleasantries, but have you heard of the four heroes that the chief god revealed to her followers." Hel asked prying for more information from her fellow goddess.
"Yes my recently converted dark priests have told me all about it." She responded as she took a seat.
"What they can actually put up a fight against high ranking monsters." Ares asked intrigued "Because that would be impressive, no other modern hero can do that." Ares goddess of war asked stepping out from her portal.
"I'll tell you what they did when everyone gets here." Hel answered to Ares as she heard the sloshing of waves emerge from a light blue portal.
"What's happening." Poseidon asked as she exited her portal into limbo.
"Just wait and sit down." Hel responded getting annoyed they kept asking questions as three figures stepped out of their portals, Hephaestus, Eros, and Bacchus. But before they could ask anything Hel said "Sit down and listen." As they complied.
"Is this it, are we not going to wait for the others." Eross asked looking at the other divinity's with her.
"Bastet probably wouldn't come just staying in her realm the coward." Ares muttered.
"And she wouldn't dare come." The fallen goddess said indicating to the chief gods seat. "Especially with how Lescatie is going to fall." She snickered at the end of that.
"Yes while that may have been what was originally going to happen it has been stopped by a massive change in events." Hephaestus said cooley looking at the others on the table.
"Yes that is what I want to discuss with you, the four heroes the chief gods followers are discussing can permanently can destroy souls." Hel revealed shocking everyone present.
A series of whispers spread across the table "How.", "Impossible.", "Who are they."
"I have no idea who or what they are. They don't feel divine just pure human, and they can destroy souls." Hel continued about the Helldivers.
"Impressive, that sure is impressive." Hephaestus said. "Their creations as well are interesting, I wouldn't mind being on their side." He finished.
"What the hell ate you on about." Bacchus said slurred. "You would gladly join the side that are killing innocent beings just because they have cool toys."
"I'm a simple being of course yes, the forge and their crafts are my domain." Hephaestus said as inspected his hand ignoring all the glares he's getting.
"So what do you plan on doing about it then." Poseidon asked.
"We could show them love, the highest of all emotions." Eros said looking around the table. "What most of us are with the demon lord who commands no mamano harms a human." She argued.
"I suppose we could give it a try." Hel said. "If this doesn't work we must discuss a more permanent way to dispose of them."
"I agree Eros you ready the cupids if this is all we are going to discuss." As the fallen god finished a golden portal appeared behind them as another god exited it.
"Sorry I'm late I was just planning my victory party." The chief god said as she looked around the table smugly.
"What are you doing here." The fallen god growled.
"Last time I checked I was a divine being as well." She responded walking to her seat.
"Why did you call upon those four, they already have caused irreparable damage to families, and the natural order of things." Hel said glaring at the chief god.
"To you maybe but I love how the actual natural order is taking effect again." She responded smugly looking at her fellow gods.
"Aria, if I may be so privileged but who exactly are they." Hephaestus asked the chief god.
"Don't you dare call me that you... um..." she said trying to think of a retort to Hephaestus for calling her, her actual name.
"Yes I think we all our curious about that." Ares asked.
"Fine I'll show you all who you are dealing with enjoy." The chief god said as a massive, magical, hollow screen appeared as it started to show something.
"Who the hell are Super Earth." Bacchus asked Hephaestus who didn't respond watching the video intently.
"Super Earth.Our home." A voice said.
"Wait I didn't get to finish reading that bit." Eros said "go back." She requested.
The chief god didn't care as she continued the video. As it revealed weirdly designed buildings and locomotives travelling on roads. "Prosperity. Liberty. Democracy." The voice said revealing a man in his early thirties greeting his neighbours. "Our way of life." He continued as he then said hello to what appeared to be guards.
The camera then pans out to show a woman and her child waiting outside their house before they got up to greet the man opening up his arms to hug them. Eros watched this bit and smiled seeing a loving family which was soon shattered.
"But freedom doesn't come free." He said as a giant shadow approached the two and the man then wore a shocked look as a giant bug appeared out of nowhere where and attacked the woman and child.
"No...Sweet liberty...NOOOO!" He screamed as blood was splattered on him as they headed squeals from the creature. Every god was shocked by this turn of events except the chief god as she just wore a bored expression.
Then the video stopped and the word invasion appeared as the man walked up to the camera.
"How can he be smiling after he saw his family was killed." Poseidon asked tears falling down her face.
"Ha ha, look familiar? Scenes like this are happening all over the galaxy, right now. You could be next. That is unless you make the most important decision of your life." He said lifting a finger and snapping as he was soon changed into new clothes and a haircut. "Prove to yourself you have the strength and the courage to be free." He said receiving his helmet from an unseen person and putting it on.
"Join...the Helldivers."
The scene changed to asteroids plummeting to the ground then another change to two others shooting at a bug as one looked at the viewer and said "Become a part of an elite peace keeping force." The scene changed again to them running shooting outside the image, as the camera changed again once one ran ahead showing they were shooting at bugs.
"See exotic new life forms." The voice said as one Helldiver looked at the camera holding something before it changed looking at a massive bug that then exploded from an unknown object splattering the Helldiver with slime.
"And spread Managed Democracy across the galaxy." One said as his team stabbed a flag into a bugs corpse as they celebrated. "Become a hero." It changed to a scene of two Helldivers grabbing each other's hand. "Become a legend. Become a Helldiver." It finished as all four got into a heroic pose.
"What the hell was that." Bacchus asked after the video ended.
"A father getting revenge for his family." Eros proposed.
"Looked like something one would make for people to go to war." Ares said as she threw in her idea.
"You mean propaganda." The fallen goddess asked.
"I think you're missing out on something important here though, where the hell were they." Hel said looking at her peers.
"Don't know but know we know they are probably human." Poseidon said.
"Alright, and why is Hephaestus being unusually quiet. He would probably be giddy after seeing that." The fallen goddess said looking to his seat only to see he already left.
"Rude." Bacchus said as she took a hefty gulp of wine.
"What is he doing now." Hel muttered to herself as an argument broke out between the gods over what happened in the video.
"I'm sorry father but they're gone." Wilmarina answered to her father who was furious she couldn't stop them as they were now out of Lescatie.
"I gave you one simple job and you somehow failed it." William said as he seethed with rage at his daughter's failure.
"Father I didn't know which way they went and when I knew where they were they got away on a weird flying thing." Wilmarina said explaining what happened.
"You should have been quicker Wilmarina, now my plans have been ruined." William said as he sat down on a couch. "Unless you can find the heroes and request them to come see me then I will forgive your failure here." He finished.
"But father where am I supposed to find them. They could by miles away by now." Wilmarina said.
"Well it's to repent for your failure so I hope you can find them, for your sake." William said as he got up and walked out of the room.
Wilmarina was able to contain herself before she broke down crying as she too left the room. She retreated to her room as she collapsed on her bed crying.
She was supposed to be Wilmarina the hero, not some girl who would cry when she disappoints her father. She sat there as she reminisced on the times where everyone only sees her as a hero all except one.
Elt's face flashed in her mind, her childhood best friend and now comrade never treated her like anything special only a girl who he was once friends with. She smiled after the interaction from earlier today and how she enjoyed her self walking with Elt earlier today and how she did enjoy herself with there discussion.
A few minutes later Wilmarina was able to compose herself and she was ready to leave to attempt the impossible task her father had set for her. She left her room and began her journey to find the heroes, wherever they may be.
"I'm telling Merse I saw the four heroes earlier, they were going to the council." Elt's voice said as he and Merse walked down a road after another night of heavy drinking.
"Ha like four beings we've never heard of come and save us from the monsters." Merse said in a drunken stupor "I mean we heroes are strong but four heroes destroying all monsters. We'll need a thousand miracles for that to happen." She finished as they were met with a split in the road.
"Alright see you tomorrow Merse." Elt said as he parted way with the hero making his way to Sasha's orphanage.
"Big brother Elt's back." One of the kids said as they all crowded around him.
"Hey guys I'm back." Elt said smiling despite how exhausted he was.
"Ohh, Elt your back I'm just ready to serve the soup if you want it." Sasha asked as she walked out of the kitchen to see Elt.
"That would be lovely Sasha." Elt said.
"Alright can you come help dish it up I have to leave in a minute sorry." Sasha said walking to the kitchen.
"Of course Sasha." Elt replied as he made his way to the kitchen preparing to dish up the soup. They both stayed in silence for a minute until Elt asked Sasha a question "Sasha you know of the four heroes the order members are dreaming and talking about." Elt asked.
"Yes" Sasha said. Sasha heard all the stories of how everyone in the clergy had dreams about the four even though she had not received them. "They will save humanity from the monsters."
"Do you think it's true." Elt asked.
"Elt every few decades a hero comes and everyone says they'll destroy the monsters even though they all have failed." Sasha replied.
"So you don't think it is true." Elt asked deflated.
"No I don't but they sound like they make be great hero's though." Sasha said "They'll need thousands of heroes to defeat the demon lord and the others demon realms." Sasha concluded as she finished the preparations and brought the soup at to the children followed by Elt.
"So how do we transport the equipment." C1 asked as the others as they flew to their destination in Tronmail.
"We'll have to do the transport the equipment first then you if there's no space on the first trip." Pelican 1's driver said as they were nearing there destination.
"What exactly is the equipment exactly." X2 asked curious to the nature of them.
"Helldivers sending mission info to you." The democracy officer said as a new notification appeared on them
"The lost expedition. Huh sounds interesting." Z3 said.
"The transport ship was attacked by the squ'ith and the ship was lost decades ago never found." G4 said.
"Until now." C1 said as they felt the ship land.
"So how are we going to collect the stuff from where it's being held." G4 asked his team.
"Grab the equipment and put down anyone who tries to stop us." Z3 explained to her comrade.
"Alright let's go." C1 said stepping out of Pelican 1 and into the towns square.
The four looked around the area they landed noticing the people cowering and praying. Then a priest stepped up to greeting them into the village, "Welcome to our humble village oh great saviours."
"Yeah, yeah, praise be to the saviours where are those guns in that cache." Z3 asked trying to hurry up the conversation ready to leave.
"I'll take them there." A voice behind them spoke. A red haired man stood there a grin on his face as he approached the five, he was dressed in a blacksmith uniform and looked like he just cleaned the soot covered on his entire figure.
"Young Marcus will take you there, but apologies that all of us are on bit on edge, constant monster attacks throughout the week." The priest said as he walked off.
"If you'll follow me please." Marcus spoke up as they made their way to a massive hole in the ground with a staircase going down.
"So it crash landed as is now down here." G4 said as his team approached the uneven staircase leading to the weapons cache.
"What crash landed sorry." Marcus asked as the others went into the hole to grab Super Earths missing technology.
"A flying ship and that's all you need to know." C1 said as they entered a hole on the side of a metallic structure.
"So this is it." Z3 asked as she inspected the canisters as she attempted to remove it.
"You can't move it. Multiple heroes have tried to remove at once to no avail." Marcus informed them as each and every one of them approached a canisters.
"No you can remove them if you show respect." X2 said as she did a Super Earth salute as there was a hiss and the canister was unlocked from its place.
"How did you..." Marcus asked confused trying to understand what happened.
"Hold this." Z3 told him as he buckled from the weight "Alright follow us, Mark." She informed as she walked out back to Pelican 1.
The group of five continued this one more time with nothing eventful happening until the last one had to be picked up.
"Last objective critical item Helldiver's." The democracy officer spoke as C1 saluted the canister. When the canister was released a louder hissing sound was heard as something started banging on the sides of the canister.
"That doesn't sound good." C4 said as the container broke and out came TYRANNY INCARNATE who was released once more onto an unsuspecting universe.
"No, he can't be real." C1 said looking at the creator of death.
"He was just supposed to be a myth, to scare kids to behave." G4 muttered staring at the terminid.
"This planet is doomed." Z3 screamed.
"Just shoot now guys it's only a hatchling." X2 said as the four collected themselves and started shooing at the form of the devourer of freedom who escaped up the stairs.
"We must stop it now." C1 shouted as they all ran up the stairs into the village again not seeing the ruler of tyrants anywhere. "Shit where is it." C1 muttered as he activated his helmets bio-scanner.
"Know sight of it here Cliff." G4 said looking in another direction.
"Helldivers you must leave immediately, bring the blacksmith as well." The democracy officer said which they all to gladly acknowledged grabbing Marcus into Pelican 1.
"Can someone tell me what's happening, and if it's bad we have to warn the rest of Tronmail." Marcus said as he attempted to leave Pelican 1 as the doors closed.
"We can't sorry Marcus." C1 muttered taking off his helmet "That thing can already kill teams of Helldivers we can't deal with it now." C1 said as tears rolled down his face. "All the people there who will never experience Managed Democracy and be killed by the incarnation of Tyranny." Be finished as all the others looked up.
"Anyway what do you think is in the capsules." X2 said trying to lighten up the move.
"I hope it's like mini gun and can destroy armour." Z3 said.
"A stratagem like the shield generator but heals you." G4 said.
"I'm sorry what are you on about." Marcus asked.
"Stuff that can kill TYRANNY INCARNATE." C1 said as he stood up ready to leave the ship.
Light years away a massive red light viewed a screen after hacking a very encrypted message. The message said they found a lost colony of humans and new weapons since the first galactic war. It wasn't particularly worried as it would only halt them, not stop them, nothing could stop his plans now.
But the mention of a weird energy sauce from some of the fauna there intrigued it, it was preparing an army to go there to claim the planet. Once it knows where it's located, it was currently tracking where this message originated from.
AN: That's it for now. TYRANNY INCARNATE is released onto the universe and this weird red, black and white metallic thing wants to send its army to the planet. Wonder who they could be (subtlety is not my strong suit).
Anyway the weapons are found, two things I made the fuck up are going to destroy everyone's plans for the planet, and the Helldivers are actually scared of something for once in this vast universe.
But with the new equipment {redacted} they'll be fine. And the two army commanders surely won't increase to three on this planet only managed democracy is on its way nothing else.
