Thanks so much for taking the time to read this! This is the very first story that I've ever written AND my very first time sharing anything, so I'm grateful to anyone who took the time to make it this far and take the journey with me. I hope you were entertained.
If you're curious, this story actually started as a small imagining of some of the events in Chapter 1. My imagination kind of took over and from there and I basically let it write itself. I actually didn't go into it with any sort of plot or plan at all. The story itself unfolded as I wrote it. I didn't have a specific direction and honestly didn't even know how it would end until it did!
For me that was the funnest part of writing it and I really hope that someone out there enjoys reading it half as much as I enjoyed writing it!
I will admit, the very very end did get a little biased. It took me some time to get around to finally typing up the very final chapter and by the time I had re-read and edited everything else, I had drifted away from the original vision of the ending that my mind first presented. I kind of found that I had started to turn more towards the way that I personally wanted it to go (a little more romance focused) and ended up biasing the very ending a bit. Stay tuned though, if you're interested, as I very well may try to write an alternate ending that follows the organic direction that I felt the story itself initially wanted to take. I'd really like to have a finished version that stayed true to the vibe of the rest of the story and wasn't influenced by my own meddling!
